Suddenly, Kia’s attention was directed to her right as a bright light suddenly filled the room. Only a second went by before a woman came out. Her eyes then shifted back to the image of The Illusionist, which was a bit hindered by the light. This must have been one of those more trusted operatives that directed things in The Illusionist’s place unless he truly needed to be involved. With his final words, the image faded, leaving only the three women.
But it seemed that it would be down to two as the new arrival dismissed Krai to be debriefed. Her eyes then focused on the other room. Was The Illusionist there? Or was it just another room with a holo projector meant to talk to others when another room was occupied. It would have been interesting to think that for all that caution, he was only a single room away.
Watching Krai leave, Kia looked back to Operative Strahovski as she held up a device that appeared much like the one the woman was wearing. Taking it, she strapped it to her right wrist as the woman began to speak further on what was needed from her. When it was said she was to receive a full physical evaluation, her eyes narrowed, curious about what it all entailed. When she was finished, Kia’s response was focused a short. "Where do we begin?" With Krai's debrief completed, Miranda had finished up getting Kia's digital signature on several consent forms. As she asked where they began, Miranda smiled."If you would follow me, I will take you to the simulators, where your first test will begin.Continued here...

Once he landed in Port town, Walker exited the shuttle and walked around Port Town taking in the view. As he took in the view Walker made sure to note anyone that could be a potential threat. Once Walker was finished exploring the sights he made his way over to a bar he overheard people talking about. Walker had to admit that this place had a certain feeling to it, a feeling that he couldn't describe. Walker did however enjoy the illicit entertainment that he saw as he walked through out the town, he decided right there that he would be staying in this town for a while. He might even call it home if that Sector Ranger on Myrkr on was right about finding work here, then it would have everything that he was looking for.

*Well, this was unorthodox, even for Aedon. For the first time in a long time, he was on his way to meet up with an old friend -- Jerrak Vao. According to the "venerable" Twi'lek (since he hated the term "old"), word had gotten out about his actions during the Fel "recovery"...and now, Jerrak supposedly had a job opportunity for him. At least Aedon didn't have far to go, even if he hated traversing this gigantic crap-storm of an asteroid field. So, here he was, in his ETA-5 Interceptor, the "Lagann", requesting docking permissions from the VI "Dockmaster" before pulling his fighter into the asteroid's artificial gravity well and into the dock area.*
*After receiving clearance to pull into Docking Port 21, Aedon set his vessel down in the private hangar and exited his vessel via the ventral access hatch. He adjusted his black bantha-hide jacket, doing his best to ward himself from the cold without limiting his access to his twin Death Hammer blasters, which were tucked away in shoulder holsters just below his shoulder blades. He had a violet, striped spider-silk shirt on beneath the jacket, and a pair of dark spacer cargo pants with his trusty datapad and comlink stowed away in them as well. He instinctively reached down to his left wrist to adjust the arm band which held his "wrist apothecary" - just a small collection of vials that held everything from poisons to stims, an insurance policy to help him get through tough scrapes if he ever needed it. Everything seemed in order, so he began to take in the view of the hangar around him, hoping to see a familiar face soon.*
*He had received correspondence from Jerrak that he was going to meet him there, so it was good that Aedon soon saw the old Twi'lek entering the far side of the hangar. Settling his hands into his pant pockets, he began making the short trek toward his old friend while calling out to him on his way.*
"Pretty nice joint you've got here, Vao...almost makes Skip One look like a hovel!"

Skip Seven - Port Town. Docking Port 21. The old Twi'lek grinned as the violet haired Zeltron called out to him. Dressed in his usual attire, a form fitting jumpsuit, drexl leather vest and baggy cagro pants, the heavily pierced face of the Twi'lek continued grinning as he called back."Montrose! Ya like what yer seein'? Only cost me life savin's ta rebuild after tha' fiasco on Ord Mantell..."A relatively minor setback, since then, Ord Mantell had been the home to his original Emporium, though the troubles with the Syndicate here in the Skips caused him to shut down his Emporium and purchase half of the Skips, with Aedon, to help rebuild. Since then, the two of them had shared ownership of the Crow's Nest and a handful of other Skips in the field. Though once The Organization moved in and hollowed out a rock easily twice the size of the Crow's Nest and called it Skip Seven, Vao couldn't have passed up the opportunity to partially retire from the front lines of mercenary work and resume being a broker of information as well as other commodities the various riff-raff of the Skips valued to a high degree. And by cornering that market out on these parts, he ensured it remained competitive and honorable. Though, the Twi'lek's views on being a criminal were old school and he followed the code of 'honor among thieves'. Despite his shadier dealings, he was successfully established both on his own and as a front for The Organization. Which was the reason he has summoned Aedon here. Though he'd get to that. Still grinning, the Twi'lek spread his arms wide and chuckled."Bought an' paid fer. Or at least sum of it. Got me own shop again...handful o' connections and a nice network o' operators. How's ya been, though? Life still treatin' ya alright? Been a spell since we last spoke, it has..."

*He nodded when the blue-skinned Twi'lek gestured grandly.*
"Indeed it has, brother...the short version? Been a busy few months. You heard about that business with the Ring, I presume? Rough trip, that was. But, I'm done with that now, and I'm onto the next thing! Can't let myself lose this traction I've got going, now can I?"
*The Smuggler's Ring...a loose connection of the local crews, to which Aedon and Jerrak were still provisional members, if only by association. It was easier to say "the Ring" rather than "me, Draykon, Malora, and all those kriff-tards" to his old friend. He knew the veteran grifter would understand his meaning, regardless.*

The wizened Twi'lek clapped a meaty hand down onto the Zeltron's shoulder and frowned. He had, indeed, heard of the business involving the other members of the Ring. High risk, and dangerous, that. But it was precisely why he had called upon the Zeltron. His employer had noticed the Zeltron's skills and wanted to hire him. Which is where Vao came in.
"Eh, not the best line 'o business, that. Glad ya came out no worse fer wear though. Speakin' 'o that, I may 'ave a job fer ya, if yer interested, 'o course?"
Releasing the Zeltron's shoulder, Vao motioned for his Zeltron business partner to follow him as they walked through the docking rings of Port Town, heading towards Vao's Emporium.

*The weight of Jerrak's hand caused Aedon to shift his shoulders a bit. Given the Zeltron's much-smaller frame in comparison to the muscular, weighty physique of the larger Twi'lek, it was to be expected. As he spoke his piece and then turned toward the exit, Aedon acknowledged his question with a bit of a shrug.*
"Heh...like I said, I don't need to lose this good traction I've got going. What kinda job are we talking about, exactly? 'Cause you know I'm...well, I'm out of the smuggling game -- for now, I mean."
*It wasn't something that Aedon was thrilled to say. He hated the fact that he was even considering it, but, the life he had once known was a bit too painful to go back to now. Even though it had been nearly a year since the Syndicate had been overthrown, the wounds were still quite fresh for the Zeltron 'captain'.**Aedon decided to follow Jerrak's lead, which - he supposed - the next stop would be the Twi'lek's "Emporium"...*

Walking through the crowds of Port Town, the smells of food vendors, body odors of various species and then the ever persistent stench of death hung in the air. Unsurprising, given Port Town was aptly named, being the main port for Skip Seven. Trade prospered, but so did the more nefarious dealings as well. Though, the statistics would indicate that murders and drug sales were significantly lower on Skip Seven than elsewhere on the Ring. Whether that had to do with The Organization's influence or Vao's respectability within Skip Seven, he couldn't say for certain. Trudging along, the Twi'lek spoke a little softer than before.
"Runnin' goods? Nah. I got enough o' 'em. Not exactly th' sharpest folks out there, but they get th' job done. Most 'o th' time."
Tossing several cred chits into a bucket as he passed a homeless looking, mangy Bothan, Vao briefly nodded to the sentient and kept speaking.
"All I can say is, yer attitude towards Force jockeys is a big part o' th' reason yer here..."
It was non-specific and rather vague, even by Vao's standards, but his employer didn't want anything given away before he had a chance to speak with Aedon himself. So, Vao would bring him to the Emporium and to his office, where they could speak privately. Rounding the corner, the large neon signs of the Emporium could be seen...

*Aedon weighed Vao's words carefully, because he knew the man wasn't one to mince them. The vagary with which his tone was carrying didn't go unnoticed, and the Zeltron knew that his questions would best be saved for when they were able to speak in private.**As they passed the Bothan and Jerrak offered what charity he could, Aedon simply locked eyes with the being and studied him as they passed. He very nearly reciprocated Jerrak's giving attitude, but decided against it because he didn't want to give the impression that he was trying to one-up his friend. Besides, some charity could work for good; too much of it tended to make one feel entitled and lazy. If the Bothan had any kind of sense in him, he would make that little bit go a long way. If not, then he didn't deserve any extra money that Aedon would have to give him.*
"Ah, my 'attitude' eh?" *He chuckled* "Usually, when people bring that up, it's followed by how much they don't like it - and shortly after that, pistols are drawn..."
*All humor aside, Aedon was sure there was more to Jerrak's words that would be revealed soon enough. And, seeing as the Emporium was coming into view, the Zeltron figured he'd get his answers when they got inside.*

Walker had left the Emporium and proceeded to walk towards the edge of Port Town, near the docks. That was were the boss man said that he would meet one of his top operatives. Although Walker had no idea what this operative looked like, the only thing he knew was that the operative was female. Walker continued to make his way to the docks all the while looking at every female wondering if they were the operative and testing his ability to detect a tail, but no one seemed to be paying attention to him as he made his way through town. It took a while to reach the docks but Walker did and when he did he noticed that he was alone, so Walker decided to scope the place out while he waited on the operative.

*Aedon really hated space sometimes. Because different places tended to keep different hours, and space - being dark with a few stars in between every once in a while - always made it look like night, all the time, anytime. The fact that Aedon showed up to meet Jerrak in the "morning" reminded him of this. He flew over in the pitch black, with the local star cluster casting just enough light to play havoc with his vision as he trusted his piloting skills and the latest asteroid drift charts that cycled every 72 hours. Getting the data while it was "fresh" was often best, because if you waited to travel anywhere on the back-end of the drift window, any number of anomalies could have occurred during the two-day window, and the charts often times became unreliable.*
*So, even after meeting Jerrak and Mr. Magician in the "early hours", Aedon still felt like he was walking through Port Town in the dark of night; surrounded by synthetic and neon lights, barely able to make out what waited in the shadows. In the time since the meeting, Aedon had made contact with the Organization's "operative" -- a quite-fetching woman that introduced herself as "Miranda Strahovski". She informed Aedon that - while his meeting was already concluded - they would need to wait a while until Vao had a second meeting with another potential recruit before leaving for their intended destination. So, Aedon being who he was, he decided to pour on a little charm and asked to treat the young operative to lunch. And was quite surprised when she agreed. Skip 7 wasn't exactly known for its excellent cuisine, but Aedon knew that Operative Strahovski seemed to spend enough time here, so he asked her to pick the place.*
*The next few hours were whittled away with Aedon asking what he could about the Organization, and Miranda asking about some of Aedon's more...colorful exploits. She seemed to know quite a bit, even going all the way back to the time when Aedon was involved with the Corellian Jedi and the Fist of Kaast. And by the end of it, Aedon was sure that he must have seemed like quite the foil to her. Although, his sixth sense seemed to have trouble getting a good read on her. He wondered why that was. Regardless, with their lunch meeting concluded, they made their way back to the original rendezvous point. The afternoon appointment was still in session, so Aedon took a bit of time to go and grab some things from the Lagann. He meandered back to the meeting point in short time, with his duffel over one shoulder and a long, rectangular case that he had slung over his other shoulder. The duffel was just a few changes of clothes and some toiletry essentials, and the case held his vibro-rapier, "Esmeralda".*
*As he returned, Aedon noticed that Miranda had moved away from the rendezvous. In her place was a taller man, somewhat less-attractive than the raven-haired woman and with a blood thirst that Aedon could sense on him from a block away. This must have been his fellow recruit, the one that Miranda referred to by his code name as "Wolf". Aedon approached well within the man's peripheral vision, not wanting to seem aggressive by any stretch of the imagination. Giving "Wolf" a nod, he attempted to introduce himself.*
"How's it going? Name's Montrose, Aedon Montrose." *He looked around, not wanting to be wrong about the man before him* "Uh...are you 'Wolf'?"
*He set his case down edge-first in front of him, choosing to prop himself up with the other edge. The case stood almost as tall as he was, albeit that it was quite slender. It held the sword itself, and some spare vibro-cells, as well as the repair tools needed to service the blade. Thus, the longer case.*

Once Walker had scoped the place out and realized that nobody else was there but him, he decided to lean against a wall and wait for the operative to arrive. A few moments later Walker looked up and saw two people approach the meeting place. One was attractive raven haired women, who Walker assumed was the operative he was supposed to meet while the other person was man with long lavender colored hair and facial features that resembled these of the Zeltron species. It was hard for him to tell if the male really was a Zeltron or not, as to him most near-humans look human. Walker could tell that the man was sizing him up since that was what he was doing as well. He watched and listened to the man as he spoke, so the man's name was Aedon Montrose, Walker made sure to remember the name. When Aedon asked him if he was Wolf, Walker smirked for Wolf was his call sign back when he was with the Galactic Alliance Special forces and he hadn't heard it for a long time. The Organization really did have his service record. Walker not wanting to give off a bad first impression, returned Aedon's introduction and properly introduce himself.
"I am Wolf, name's Ryan Walker. Most people just call me Walker." Walker paused for a brief moment before continuing. "I don't believe I caught your name ma'am."
Walker continued to eye before Aedon and the women, trying to figure both of them out which was harder than it seemed as the female operative was guarded around him which was to be expected if she read his service record and everything that came with it. Aedon seemed to be cautious around him which was also to be expected when dealing with unknown variable. All he could do now was wait for the women to speak and to lead them where they needed to go.

Operative Strahovski had taken the time to sit down with Aedon Montrose, the most recent acquisition of The Organization. He was charming, for a Zeltron. And he certainly didn't lack for confidence. But his eyes gave it away. He had been hurt in the past. He carried his fair share of emotional, mental and even physical scars. Though, as a former smuggler, most of that was to be expected. The more compassionate side of him, was not. Neither was the scope of the man's intellect. The Illusionist had briefed her on Montrose, and emphasized his deceptive intellect. After sitting down and having a meal with the man, she had gleaned from him that his was much smarter than he let on, unless around an equally intellectual being. Regardless of her personal thoughts on the man, he was an excellent fit for The Organization. As their meal had concluded, Aedon disappeared back to his ship to collect some belongings, allowing Miranda to slink away for a few moments. Answering messages and directing field operatives. Being the left hand of the Illusionist was a daunting job, though a rewarding one. Making her way down the street, back to the original rendezvous point, the second acquisition from today's string of meetings was a mean operator, Ryan Walker. A muscle bound neanderthal, in comparison to Montrose, but loyal and willing to do whatever was necessary. And those were exactly the types of operators The Organization needed, especially on The Illusionist's S.T.A.R.S teams. Right now they were too few to field full fire teams, rather just reconnaissance pairs or Hunter-Killer pairs. But, with Walker's acquisition, perhaps Alpha Team could be formed and begin operating? Hard to say, as that wasn't her place to assign rolls. Walking up within earshot, she caught the introductions between Montrose and Walker. Walking up behind Aedon, on his left, she cleared her throat and replied to Walker's question.
"Operative Miranda Strahovski. Mr. Montrose, Mr. Walker, I am glad you two have had the opportunity to introduce yourselves. I trust your meetings with The Illusionist went well? If there are any questions, now is the time to ask them. I will do my best to allay any concerns or doubts you may have."
Garbed in her usual attire of a form-fitting armorweave black and white suit, the raven-haired woman looked rather unassuming in a crowd, which was probably why she was able to slip away from Aedon and then suddenly re-appear without his noticing. He'd have to work on his awareness, especially if he was to be a potential candidate for the Ascension Program...

*Fierfek! When did he miss her approach? Where was it? Was Aedon so distracted by Walker's blood lust that he became ignorant of all else?*
*Aedon was somewhat-confused as to Walker's address when he said "I don't believe I caught your name ma'am." As she cleared her throat, Aedon's eyes widened for a split-second, and he felt his grip tighten on his duffel strap. He was already beginning to shift his stance so he could begin reaching for whichever weapon was closest, his right arm - atop the case he was propping himself up on - pulling back to the point he was gripping the case with his hand before he stopped himself. This was how he operated, currently. He tried not to waste movements, to make them seem natural, to give himself every advantage before he had to act. However, this was one of those moments where he very much shouldn't do so. Instead, he calmed himself and listened to her speak, and answered in kind.*
"I, uh...will I be needing to pilot my ship where we're going? Is this to be an extended trip, or just a 'there and back' type-deal? Either way, I'll be glad to provide my own transport, if need be."
*He really was attempting to shake off the nervousness brought on by Operative Strahovski's latent appearance. It had been a while since Aedon had been caught unawares like that. And the last time...well, he didn't want to get caught up thinking about it.*

Walker listened to both Operative Strahovski and Adeon speak. It was clear to him that Strahovski was someone of great importance, just from the way she spoke. Aedon seemed nervous when Strahovski walked up, Walker could see by the way the man reacted that he had major trust issues when it came to the unknown. Walker could understand where Aedon was coming as he too had trust issues when it came to superior officers, or cake eaters as he called them. He however had no questions for the raven-haired beauty. He was curious on what was next for them and where they were going, but he didn't feel as those curiosities required an answer at least not right at this moment.

Miranda smirked as she picked up on Aedon's nervous state. Clearly he hadn't been expecting her to simply 'appear' the way she did. He'd have to work on that. She made a mental note of that before answering his question.
"Actually, there was a reason I had you both rendezvous here..."
Raising her right arm in front of herself, an orange hued holographic interface appeared. With a wave of her hand over the wall Walker had been leaning against and a quick sequence of her fingers around the palm of the interface, the wall parted, revealing immaculately clean marble halls with gold trim. The Nexus, headquarters to The Organization. Motioning for the men to proceed into the formerly-concealed entrance, she spoke.
"Gentlemen, welcome to The Nexus."

With a single blink of an eye, a Tempest-class Stealth Transport emerged from hyperspace just outside of the asteroid field. Not even the slightest of hesitation was seen in its path as it pressed forward into the chaotic array of debris. For most, navigating such an obstacle course was suicide if one didn't have the proper information or a skilled pilot. Fortunately, the ship housed both.
On the bridge, three people resided, watching the rocks float harmlessly by thanks to the Nautolan pilot. To the leftmost side resided his Zeltron co-pilot as she relayed every bit of information on the incoming asteroids. Working in tandem as they did, not to mention the incredible maneuverability the vessel possessed, it was like they were gracefully dancing around the rocks, making it appear almost easy.
It was only a few minutes of navigating before they saw their destination before them: Skip Seven. It was a shadow port that ran in the shadows by the Organization. Pressing a few buttons, the Zeltron sat back and called out to the woman that stood between the two of them, her voice monotone and uncaring.
"Landing request and clearance codes have been sent."
The woman nodded. "Understood. Kel, bring us in."
Kel nodded as the confirmation came through shortly after.
"You got it, ma'am. Bringing our girl home."
As the ship pressed forward, Kia turned from her place on the bridge and made her way towards the cargo hold and boarding ramp. It was a strange feeling being back here. Since she had initially departed the Nexus, she had continued to explore and aid others as she saw fit, fully allowed to do as she cared so long as she didn't cause issues with the Organization. Having her out in the field gathering resources from time to time or aiding others only further worked to aid the group. As such, she felt no need in coming back unless she really needed to. And apparently, that need had just arrived.
A day or so ago, she had been contacted by the Illusionist, himself, requesting her return to this place for new instructions. It was a bit irritating, but if he needed her back, she would do so. Just the idea of it made her tense. What was so important that he needed her to return instead of just sending her to wherever he needed them? She'd soon find out.
As the ship entered the port and settled into the landing pad, the cargo bay door opened, allowing Kia to fully disembark. She had given orders before their arrival to stay close to the ship in case they needed to head back out but to spend some time on the ground since it wasn't always a regular occurrence. Moving with a quick, focused pace, she headed for the designated room for the conversation. Any who saw her moved out of her way, whether it was the sight of her guns, her quick pace, or the look in her eyes.
Reaching the hidden entrance Krai had taken her to so long ago, she moved over to the terminal to signal the Illusionist of her arrival. Moving to the holopad on the ground, she stood in the center, waiting for it to activate as she took a deep breath.

Seated in his chair in the usual fashion, with a beverage resting on the right arm of the chair and a lit cigarette between his fingers on his left, the prim and proper dressed man spoke to Kia, one of his top operatives.Amarok, I apologize for the sudden recall, but an urgent matter has come to our attention. One that I feel you are the most qualified to handle. It was vague, but until Kia asked the questions, The Illusionist wouldn't reveal more information, as was his way.

As the image came to life, Kia watched as the Illusionist came into view, dressed as usual, and even more of a commonplace feature, a drink and cigar in hand. The smallest of smirks came to her face upon seeing him as her head tilted a bit and her hand rested on her hip. It was now time to get down to business.
The first words from his mouth made her tense slightly. Being referred to by code name was something she wasn’t used to. It was strange and almost unsettling. Even after she received it some time ago, she still hadn’t adjusted, especially since being called it was still a rarity. She always had to remember that it was her he was talking to.
"It gives my crew a chance to return home, even if for a moment." Her gaze then sharpened a bit, curious not only to her recall, but what task he had that best suited her. "An urgent task that best suits me? Curious. What are the details?" Her interest certainly didn’t go unnoticed as her head lifted, curious as to what task best required her skills and approach.

Taking a drag on his cigarette, he exhaled slowly and tapped the holo-screen on the right arm of the chair so it would display the relevant data beside his projection for Kia to see. An image of Bothawui appeared, with statistics scrolling beside it. Population densities, imports and exports, gross national income and several other relatively unimportant bits of information. My sources are still investigating at this time, but what they've uncovered is troubling...Several more keystrokes and another image appeared of a vial containing a blue gas-like substance.Previously thought to be eradicated, we have unconfirmed rumors of a resurgent Blue Shadow Virus on the surface of Bothawui. While my sources continue to track all the relevant data, I need you to go to Bothawui and do whatever is necessary to contain the outbreak and collect a sample of the virus, if possible. The priority here is containment and quarantine. Collection of the virus is only to be done so long at it doesn't needlessly endanger the lives of others. As valuable of information as it could give us, the risks quite obviously outweigh the advantages. I am dedicating all available science personnel to the study and containment of this potential outbreak and I have the top minds within the Organization ready to assist in whatever capacity you will need them. And to further detract attention from your mission, I have several ships standing by ready to aid and assist the people of Bothawui. There is even a contingency, should the worst happen, though I am hoping that this can be caught and contained well before then.Plucking his glass from the armrest, he took a sip of the liquid and placed it back down, allowing Kia to speak and ask more questions, if she needed to.
