Broken beams jut up from a collapsed building to the side. Glass and rubble litter the floors of the hallway. A steady rain plops down from the grey sky, unhurried fat drops of water slowly washing everything back to the dirt. Once, long ago, this place was a bastion of light in the galaxy. Now it is a gutted shell of it's former glory, the Jedi Enclave of Dantooine, a silent marker for the death of the Jedi.

For some reason, he was standing on Dantooine...AGAIN. For the love of all things lazy.....No matter. He was kitted out much the same as he usually was. Shotgun maglocked to his back, slightly angled over his right shoulder, his bes'kad in its custom sheath, also on his back just above the shotgun. Around his left arm, wrapped around the forearm and bicep was his chain, the handle in his left hand, the 3 inch hooked blade wicked looking, the 5 pound beskar ball resting just below his elbow. (the ball isnt big, but very condensed). His black armour seemed to suck the light in, a trick of the paint job. His HUD was up and scanning and he walked through the center of the ruins, wondering where his opponent was......

Faust was sitting atop a chunk of broken duracrete the size of a speeder when he caught sight of the Mandalore. There was no mistaking the armor, so black he appeared to be a pit with no bottom. Sulfuric eyes widened in surprise as the priest unfolded himself and took a single step forward. Shards of transparisteel crunched under his boot. His left hand opened, and the scorched buy'ce of a certain darmanda fell among the ruins with a metallic clank.
"Mandalore..." He started, then stopped suddenly.
'What game do you play, Kad? Must I truly prove myself worthy to endure in this fashion? Or...perhaps it is not I who must prove myself.'
Setting his jaw in resignation, Faust drew the Ripper from its holster on his left thigh, but left the pistol dangling at his side. The priest was outfitted in his usual armor- a thin, unrestricting cuirass of a beskar-carbon alloy that left his arms completely free, along with boots and bracers of the same material. Twin beskads were sheathed on either hip, and a Dur-24 wrist laser was mounted on his right bracer. His arsenal was light, but contained all the tools he needed to perform his rites of worship.
"Akaanir ijaala, ner vode."
Sweat beaded on the priest's brow despite the cool temperature. To be challenging the Mandalore...taking a steadying breath, Faust began to mumble a battle hymn and immediately felt the hand of his God heavy upon his shoulder. Eyes narrowing at the figure standing a meager fifteen feet away, he waited for Ashrah to make the first move. It was the only gesture of respect Faust could afford to pay him.

He looked up at Faust and almost grinned beneath his buy'ce. Almost. If he showed Joy, Corrs buy'ce would crack and the man would be faceless. We can't have that now. He noted the movement of the mans hand as he pulled the Ripper out of its holster, and he shook his head
::Surely Kad would have us fight face to face Priest.::
He drew his blade from his back and eyed the other man closely. They both were followers of Kad.....Hell, his shotguns name was Kad'marev or Kad's Fist......He had no desire to shoot Faust. He would feel dirty shooting a fellow Vode. He would feel better punching the other man a lot.

Faust nodded once, his features solemn. He agreed with Ashrah's sentiment, but hadn't expected it. His left hand shoved the Ripper back into its holster before coming to rest lazily atop the pommel of the beskad sheathed on his hip.
"Tayli'bac, Mandalore."
Faust yanked the beskad on his left hip free of its sheath, holding the weapon loosely in his right hand, and started forward at a slow trot. His ruined face was contorted in a mask of concentration, flayed lips soundlessly forming words of praise to his God. Both he and his opponent were devout followers of Kad Ha'rangir, but that didn't matter. The Destroyer God showed no favor even when a member of his flock clashed with a heretic. Still the priest offered up his thanks for the conflict, for this affront to Arasuum.
Picking up speed as he neared the Mandalore, Faust planted his right foot and whipped his blade around in a backhanded strike at the right side of Ashrah's buy'ce.

He waited. What else could he do. He set his feet, and Faust was coming at him. The back handed slash wasn't unexpected, and Ashrah reacted. He stepped left and forward slightly, his right arm slashing up and across, the blades meeting in a metallic clang, his enhanced strength allowing him to stop the attack without his arm going numb. The priest was strong.... As he blocked with his right arm, Fausts own right arm in the backhanded slash position, Ashrah snapped the handle in his left hand across, directed at the elbow of the other man. A hard and fast attack. He pulled his left arm back slightly and slammed it forward a second time, this time just ahead of the elbow. One, two. Rapid succession. His intent was to cause the arm to go numb, possibly break or crack the elbow joint and possibly fracture the arm. This was his intention....But whether it played out that way, only time would tell.
His left leg was leading, planted, giving him a powerful base, his right leg back slightly, foot turned slightly to the right, knees bent a little bit.

Due to RL circumstances I have not been able to post and will not be able to continue this match. Apologies to my opponent- hopefully we can continue this in the challenge match area- but I'm going to have to forfeit.
