Ok, so essentially this is a force user and I am looking for a place to begin, however I am aware the Jedi are fairly tied up atm and I also don't want the typical wham oh look all of a sudden I'm in a force using organisation.
So I haven't as yet decided on anything much other than that this character will become part of an force using organisation with at least a neutral standing, or at the very least he will have involvement with.
Anyways I am very much looking to write with a few select people who can grant me their time and who are interested in working with me, my character is of the same species as Yoda but I am probably going to for-go the whole backward speaking just on the pure sense that it will be hard for me and probably get irritating.
His skills will be minor and largely picked up and self taught, he will have no traditional lightsaber and I see him starting as some form of journeyer or wanderer with possible knowledge and interest in the Jedi but with not any unction to jump on their band wagon, he is very open minded and balanced and I intend to try and keep him that way until I can decide where best he is suited with the possibility he may always wander.

So you want force users but not Jedi? They can be Jedi but you don't want to be a Jedi?

At least for now yes. My character knows of the Jedi but not about them if that makes anything clearer, I don't want to jump from knowing little to suddenly having him sign his life over for service. I see him as a reflective being.
Any interaction would be good Xeonon.
I have no qualms with the force users with whom my character interacts being Jedi or imparting their truths or wisdom as they see fit and so be for other organisations with the exception of any organisation that is overtly insidious in nature.

If you're interested, the Jensaarai order on Contruum is open to give training to any Forceful's who wish for it and may want to join the faction. That, and we're looking to do some missions soon, so if you want to take part in any one of them for fun, I sure don't mind it.

The kashyyyk sith would welcome you if you choose that route. You wouldn't have to join right away and could slowly learn about the dark side. Just getting back from vacation so I'm getting the KS back up and running.

Plenty of offers and I won't necessarily say no to any of them, just where to start is all I need. Would any of you be willing to play a mentor type figure. My character has had some tuition but from a figure not in line with any particular philosophy, the force is simply that, the force although my character and his mentor do believe in justice and what is right, so although an encounter and maybe even a state of learning under the Sith would be good I can't see him settling with their ideals.

Your character's views match up pretty closely to mine. I'm willing to train you, so long as you're fine with the notion that training involves being shot at for no apparent reason. Hones the reflexes, or some shit like that.

Sweet. If you're sure you want my brand of training, we'll meet up somewhere and see what happens.
Fair warning: I don't generally plan out storylines and the like. If you're looking for something more structured, there are much, much better choices.
