New and looking for RP opportunities

Welcome to the site! Always good to have new blood around here; I mean that in as much of a capacity that we will drain you of it, or perhaps let you keep it. In all seriousness, welcome to the site - I'm sure we'll find you a niche somewhere in our odd, insane, eclectic, and somewhat oval shaped universe. Anyway, your first story idea seems awesome - when I first started, I did a similar "lost my memory, oh woops" type of thing; it works well as it allows you to kinda fill in the gaps of what you want your character to be as you progress down the line.

As for where to start, there's a LOT of places to start here...seeing that you don't like violence, you could always go the Jedi route, maybe be a gray - there's a lot of room for political RP as well, running around as royalty and negotiating things and such. My own planet that my group runs around on is Serenno (Outer rim East, below Rhen Var) and we're always in the need of a Countess, or someones daughter or some such. Might be a good place to start as things aren't blowing up at the moment.

Or, you could always roam the space lanes...if your looking for a more rough and tumble time you can go to Tatooine, Nar Shaddaa, or, everyones favorite, Coruscant Underworld. Again, depending on what you want...there's a LOT of options.

Now, before anyone lies to you, I'm the real doctor around here.

Accept no substitutes!

Dante's right - things are pretty quiet in his neck of the woods. Also, there's no fixed rule on how many places you can be simultaneously, so abuse it. Appear in all three places and drop out of the dull ones.

For example, say you want to try your hand on Contruum. Accept Mr Firestar's offer and go for it. At the same time, accept Count Lord Highness Dante's deal and post on Serenno. As simple as that.

It's what we call parallel timelines. What happens in the one doesn't necessarily affect the other, because when its happening is a little fuzzy. Because of the slow post turnover its a sanity saving device for us who can't wait for the other side of the world to wake up.

Hello and welcome to the site! We can always use more people on Hapes (Inner Rim), were the Women hold all the power and everybody is filthy stinking rich. It's mostly political intrigue and business based RP, with the occasional assassination attempt and band of raiders, but those are rare. The Hapes Consortium is made up of 63 planets, only 2 of which have any story to flesh them out in the novels, leaving the rest for completely open to creative license (e.g. I have taken the liberty of making the planet Jodaka a compete water world based on the short description provided on wookieepedia).

The Hapans are also a Royalty/Bloodline based society so I've been running with planets governed by Dukes and Arch Duchesses (no Arch Dukes since women have always held a higher place in their society) save Hapes itself which is headed by the Queen Mother who is followed around by her descendants (all very boring people [just kidding ])
