It's all good I know what you mean. I don't read Taris because I have no business on there. As for Gukky and Major, they love playing the antagonists.

You're starting to remind me of Starfire.

Huh? Which version? I'm guessing the Cartoon Network TV series, right?
Because I cannot be resembling the Comic books version, and certainly not the New 52 variant. That one's disgusting.

Quick note to Dred: The way Meony uses pyrokinesis, it doesn't need a fuel source. She's just heating up the thing she's looking at, not conjuring fire. And it's the opposite for cryokinesis.
Addendum note to Meony: Though if it were me, I'd explain it by saying that it excites the molecules in the object and makes them move faster to increase the heat, and vice versa for getting colder, rather than moving them farther apart and closer together. As far as I'm aware, distance between molecules only affects density, while the rate of vibration affects temperature (so to speak).

Which is a good note, but try that on bes'kar and it will take a while to heat up. I should have amended what I meant by fuel source, but you beat me to it Seven. As for cryokinesis, I have never seen any literature about it. I'd just be careful about using them in the wrong way. Just to avoid trouble.

It'll heat up just as fast as any other metal of similar density (and bes'kar is apparently not super dense, since it's also light). It'll just take a LOT more heat to melt it. Though the same can't be said for the guy inside...
In all honesty, I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Meony's not the type to try and roast you in your armor.

Bes'kar is a super metal like Phrik. Bes'kar is dense without the drawback of being heavy through the secret triple folding technique and takes a long time to heat up. Once it is super-heated it stays that way for a while. Essentially you become a Walking TV dinner. Phrik has the same strength as bes'kar but is a little heavier. Not by much though, but Phrik is susceptible to electricity, while bes'kar isn't. This is why bes'kar is highly protected by Mandalorians.

Increased density = increased weight (or decreased size). The more molecules you pack into something, the more mass and substance it has, and the more it weighs (or the smaller it gets). The forging process of bes'kar makes is super durable without increasing mass or weight (or, I would assume, decreasing size), so it would also not increase its density. In order to increase density without increasing weight, you have to shrink the entire object, so unless all mandalorian armor plates are a tenth the size of durasteel armor plates, increasing density isn't how bes'kar gets its durability while staying light.
Phrik is also not susceptible to electricity. It disperses it. It's also debatable whether or not it's heavier than bes'kar, since no specific weight is given for either and they're both just described as being very light.

The properties of beskar vary wildly depending upon how it's alloyed and forged. Density, strength, conductivity of heat and electricity, it's really up to the smith. Most sources I've come across say that the beskar'gam is heavier than durasteel plate of equivalent size.

All the sources I've seen say that all bes'kar shares the overheating problem. What sources say otherwise?

Why don't you get a plate of beskar and take it to mythbusters?

I like Gukky's idea. This debate could go back and forth for a while. I may not be up on the canon properties of bes'kar so Both of you could be right.

There was a pretty lengthy discussion in one of the Legacy of the Force novels. Can't remember which one off the top of my head, but it was probably one of the Karen Traviss ones.

Dred, in the canon novel Star Wars: The Crystal Star, a six-year old Jacen Solo demonstrates skill with both Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis, it's where I got my idea for the abilities. Jacen created fire from air, and essentially made guiding lights for himself and his friends. In the same story, he used the opposite of Pyrokinesis to bring the molecules together, freezing up the river a little to make a small ice bridge, but only in the immediate area so that all his equally young friends can cross safely.
But as Seven said, I will not use my powers for offensive purposes or harm, and not even to defend myself. But I can and will use it to save people from things like falling glass and what not.

It may be canon, but it falls under the ridiculously powerful Skywalker bloodline. They can do that stuff. Not everyone can. They only way I could see you using those powerful techniques at 15 is if you say you are related to them directly and that doesn't fly on this site. I can't even say that Dred is a direct descendant of Tor and Pre Vizsla even though I most certainly would like to say that. I'm sure the genetic tweaking of Gukky and Major can help that along but you need to have someone who is a pro at using those powers. FYI.

It's applied TK. Takes a lot of focus, but it's not impossible.

For all intents and purposes, this is a closed SL Dred. She doesn't need to be related to anyone and she can technically be as powerful as she wants. And the skywalkers weren't the only immensely powerful bloodline. Galen Marek equaled them in power, as did people like Palpatine and the sith emperor in TOR.
And as far as other immensely powerful people on the site, look no further than the ongoing Major/Eralam duel in the GBA.

Yes there are others, I'm just throwing it out there to avoid confusion and misunderstanding. Just in the interest having to avoid someone accuse her of pging or gming. That's all. I don't need to see the GBA battle. I've seen me fair share. Adi v Corr was awesome, as was Hevn v Eversio. Probably my two most favorites. After the site crash I lost interest in it. We need to bring back the Sithies.
