This wing of the Red Dawn Medical Center (RDMC) houses the Honoghr Arms & Medical Research Corporation (HAMR Corp) and Cybernetics Division (formerly - Honoghr Nonlethal Arms Corp. (HNAC) ) of the RDMC. All equipment is state of the art and updated regularly to suit the needs of the staff working in this particular field. The division specializes in many forms of cybernetics, robotics, and other types of specialized weaponry. They have several patents-pending and were, at one time, listed as co-patent holders of several patents in which they still work vigorously, striving to improve upon each day. Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren and his fellow partners have taken over the division with the retirement of Dr. Bismarck.

The Cybernetics Laboratory and Surgical Units was divided up into Four main area's over two levels. The Basement level consisted of an R&D lab set up designed for testing and assembling of new and prototype cybernetics and robotics. It was mostly an open planned layout with the occasional divider set up to semi divide the space, with portable work benches haphazardly placed around the area. A stair case led up from the basement, with Transparisteel windows and a door separating the stair case from the rest of the R&D area. The Main Lab was located on the main floor, right above the Basement. It was a large room that was filled with various tables and mechanical equipment for assembling various cybernetics and robotics. A couple of work stations were scattered about for reviewing cases and bringing up case files for reviewing what needed to be made. The Surgical Suits were located to the left of the Main Lab and consisted of three operating theatres, two robotic repair bays, three post operation suites (each one consisting of a bed and a curtain for privacy) and four rooms. The first two rooms were for consults and check ups, while the second two rooms had various scanning devices and diagnostic equipment. The Offices were located to the right of the Main Lab and consisted of a main common room in the front, with a couple couches spread around, a table with chairs placed around it and a holoboard. To the right of the common room was a changing room with toilets and showers for the Cybernetics division staff. Along the back wall was four offices. The Main office belonged to Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren and consisted of his desk which had a holocomputer on it, along with a seat behind it for the Dr, along with a couple of seats in front of it for visitors. There was also a couple of shelving units which held various books and mementos belonging to the good Dr. A door behind the office lead to a small sleeping area which consisted of a bed and wardrobe with clothes. The Second Office belonged to Nurse Savannah and consisted of a couple of chairs, her desk and a holo computer. A door in her office also lead to her own small sleeping quarters consisting of a bed and wardrobe for clothes. The final two offices were empty. Holoprojectors were located throughout the Basement, Main Lab and the common room in the Offices. They were controlled and accessed via a small group of servers set behind the Offices and completely separate to the rest of the RDMC network. Special Access was required to be able to utilize the system, which could only be granted by the head of Cybernetics

Dr Wilhelm placed his hand into the glove before the wrist guards locked together, he then connected the power cable from his chest to the glove as he stood up and turned his palm to face him as the generator in the glove powered up and lit up. It had taken him a few prototypes to get it down to just a glove and wrist guard, but it had been well worth it =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= This could work. Let's give it a test... He then turned towards a target board and flicked his palm up towards it, causing the generator to fire and the target board to be hit by a repulsor beam, sending it flying backwards. Dr Wilhelm smiled as he inspected the generator in the palm of the glove again. At that moment Savannah came strolling down the stairs and entered her pin code, causing the door to unlock and allowing her into the basement =Nurse Savannah= Easy there Doctor, I don't think we can replace your head
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Oh non-sense Savannah, have a little more faith in me. This thing has my biometric imprint loaded into so it won't fire at me. Do we have much on for today?
=Nurse Savannah= Not really. For today at least it seems we have a little bit of time off...
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Well if anything comes up, I'll be down here.
=Nurse Savannah= Very well Doctor. Nurse Savannah nodded to Dr Wilhelm before she turned around and went back up the stairs and through the Main Lab to the common room and into her office to sort through the paperwork that had accumulated over the past couple weeks. Dr Wilhelm meanwhile unplugged the power cord and then removed the glove and placed it back on it's table, happy with the results of the test

Wilhelm grabbed a nearby cloth and gave his hands a wipe before he made his way around the tables, entering his code into the touch pad, causing the glass door to open, allowing him to make his way up the stairs into the main lab. He really was quite impressed with the new layout of the Cybernetics Lab, although partial credit did go to Savannah for having ensured the calculations were correct and ensured that it wasn't all cluttered together. He then made his way through the main lab and pushed through the door into the common room of the offices area where Savannah was currently sitting at the table just as Leon and Conan walked up the corridor in front of the windows. Wilhelm nodded to the two men as they walked through the door into the common room, amazed at how organized and well set up it was. Savannah looked up from her work and studied the two man as they entered =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Leon. Conan. It's good to see you two.
=Dr Leon Lehmann= Likewise Wilhelm, it has been too long.
=Dr Conan Moore= Quite a nice place you have set up here. I've never seen anything quite so well laid out, which leads me to believe that you had some help...
=Nurse Savannah= Yes, you can thank me for that... Conan and Leon then turned their attention to Savannah as she spoke up, both of them studying her attire as well as her left arm which appeared to have a datapad type device situated just above her wrist. Wilhelm had never introduced them to Savannah before, since he had met her a couple years after he had finished his study =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Let me introduce my most trusted assistant, Savannah. Savannah, allow me to introduce to you Dr's Leon Lehmann and Conan Moore. Two of my most trusted friends, in fact if not for them, I'd probably have died all those years ago.
=Dr Leon Lehmann= Yes I suppose you would have...
=Nurse Savannah= What do you mean?
=Dr Conan Moore= Both myself and Leon were the one's that performed the surgery that gave Wilhelm his cybernetic heart. It's a pleasure to meet you Savannah. However I must say, Wilhelm has made a slight alteration to the power supply... Leon then looked down at the glowing blue light that was visible through Wilhelm's shirt. Conan was right about him having made a slight alteration to the power supply, so he rolled his shirt up and revealed the modified Diatium Power Cell that was glowing in his chest. Leon then leaned in a little closer as he studied the power supply =Dr Leon Lehmann= That's interesting. Surely you wouldn't need something like that solely for the heart...
=Dr Conan Moore= That's because it's not only for the heart. He has been utilizing it for other uses, mostly as a portable power supply to cut down on the size of an item. Leon turned towards Conan before turning back to Wilhelm who rolled his shirt back down and smoothed it out a little. Leon almost could not believe the stupid risk that Wilhelm was taking by doing what Conan was suggesting =Dr Leon Lehmann= Are you really using that for powering other equipment? Do you fully understand the consequences of what happens if that thing stops powering your heart?
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Relax Leon, I know the limits of cybernetics better then anyone, just like you know the limits of robotics better then anyone. At any rate I didn't call you here to fuss over me. I called you here because of this... Wilhelm then pressed a button on a remote he produced from his pocket, causing the lights to dim and the windows to black out as several holoprojectors activated, showing several scans, files and the image of what looked like a teenage girl suspended in a bacta tank =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Before you is one of my more challenging cases. A young girl whom requires extensive cybernetic and robotic reconstruction, a result of a serious accident. But she is just one of the many patients that pass through the Cybernetics Department... Wilhelm then clicked another button, causing a multitude of panels to appear, with names and head shots of patients. Leon and Conan were a little surprised at the amount of people that were marked as patients, although there was the fact that Wilhelm was one man and the Cybernetics department was new. Wilhelm then clicked another button and a holo display of the whole lab appeared in front of them =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= There is a lot of work to be done, but with these state of the art facilities, together we can get through it all. Of all the people I would want to work with, you are by far the most qualified and most respected men I have ever met... Wilhelm then clicked another button, causing the holo displays to disappear as the lights faded back up and the windows turned clear again as Wilhelm motioned towards the two empty offices at the back of the common room =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= These offices are yours if you agree. Leon smirked as he considered Wilhelm's offer, state of the art facilities, the chance to work at the Red Dawn Medical Center, and the whole group back together again. Conan meanwhile was a little more relaxed, having already deduced the reason Wilhelm had asked them to come here on his trip over to Honoghr. Leon nodded to Wilhelm =Dr Leon Lehmann= Well I'm in...
=Dr Conan Moore= Same here.
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Excellent, well get settled into your offices. Sleeping quarters are in the back of each office. The change rooms also have shower and toilet cubicles. Settle in and get yourselves ready for our first case. Leon and Conan nodded before they made their way into the two empty offices, with Leon taking the one next to Savannah's, while Conan took the next one over. Wilhelm meanwhile took a seat at the head of the table while Savannah returned to the files on the table in front of her, categorizing them in order of severity and urgency

Savannah cautiously reached her hand out and brushed some dust off a machine, before jumping back a couple moments later as all the lights suddenly flashed on =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= HA! got it! Wilhelm smiled as he pushed the fuse box door closed and turned towards Savannah who shot him a scolding look after she almost had a heart attack. Leon casually strolled from out behind Wilhelm, one hand in a pocket of his suit as he looked around at the HNAC building as the lights started to warm up and reveal more of the building's interior. most of it was covered in a thin layer of dust from having sat idle for some time =Dr Leon Lehmann= I can't say I'm overly impressed. It looks like it could do with a good clean...
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= It's a little rough, I'll admit. But the potential, it's amazing.
=Dr Conan Moore= Well it does mean we have all of HNAC's designs and resources available. I mean, I don't think many of our patients will require weaponized prosthetic arms. But the medical breakthroughs that were made here...now they could help. Conan had walked out from behind one of the machines, having wandered off into the HNAC in the darkness. Wilhelm nodded in agreement with Conan's observation, while Savannah made her way past several machines to a door leading into a room filled with servers that had been running on a separate power grid. She raised her right arm and started typing away on the datapad embed in her cybernetic arm and started entering the security codes before diagnostic displays showed up =Nurse Savannah= Well the server's look good, but we should get them backed-up to our servers as soon as possible though.
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Would you be a dear?
=Nurse Savannah= I should've known... Wilhelm smiled sweetly at Savannah as she turned back around and got onto initiating a connection between the HNAC servers and the Cybernetic Lab Servers. Wilhelm then headed up a stair case onto a raised walk way that could be used to survey the HNAC facilities from, with Leon and Conan joining him a few moments later. Machines to produce various items were scattered about, whilst vaults and storage lockers lined the walls and many other free space. Locked doors lead off into various restricted areas, various HNAC armour suits were stored in a couple of the restricted areas, to protect them from thieves and to be kept in case certain people came to pick them up =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Get some cleaners in here and hire a few technicians and we'll have the HNAC up and running again soon...
=Dr Leon Lehmann= As long as the advantages outweigh the costs...
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= I think we can safely assume they will. We now have a business that can be used for the benefit of patients. We can now produce more cybernetic parts locally. It'll be fine, just relax.

It had been almost two months since Leon and Conan had joined the Cybernetics Department and begun helping Wilhelm and Savannah work through the long list of patients waiting for cybernetic replacements. HNAC had also been up and running again for at least a month, producing various prosthetic limbs that could later be fine tuned in the Cybernetics Lab, whilst also continuing to work on various projects to further the technology. It was almost like a well oiled machine, it was calm, efficient and controlled. Wilhelm walked into the first consult room, reading his notes on the patient before looking up as the door closed behind him. There standing before him was the young girl he had first gotten Conan and Leon's help with. It had been an intense surgery and they had almost lost her, but the trio had managed to revive her and replaced everything that needed to be replaced. He returned her smile as he placed the file on a nearby table =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Amanda, it's good to see you. I see everything appears to be going well?
=Amanda= It's been fine Dr Van Buuren! thanks to you and Dr Lehmann and Dr Moore, I can still have a fairly normal life and finish my studies.
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Excellent, well, again, I'm glad you are doing so well... Wilhelm then checked all the visible components to make sure there was no loose connections and that nothing was wearing away, before grabbing a datapad out from a drawer and connecting it to a port in Amanda's left wrist. The datapad then interfaced with the internal diagnostics and checked all the readings to find that everything was working fine =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Well I'm pretty happy with how things are looking. Unless something drastic happens we can leave seeing you again for a couple years... He then disconnected the datapad from Amanda's wrist and put it away, before grabbing her file from the table and entering in some notes. He then headed to the door and paused a moment, before turning back to Amanda =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Take it easy kiddo...
=Amanda= Thank you Doctor. Wilhelm then left the consult room and returned the file to the reception desk, before walking through a set of doors that connected the Surgical Suites with the Main Lab. He then made his way to the back corner of the lab and walking down the stairs to the Basement, where he entered in his code and gained access to the R&D lab. He approached several portable tables where several different pieces of armour were spread out in various stages of completion, a pet project of his that had been helped along immensely by the data that had been taken from the HNAC servers. He then looked up as he heard movement from the far end of the room, from where Leon appeared, sitting on a wheely chair. Wilhelm smirked at his friend =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= What brings you down here?
=Dr Leon Lehmann= I could ask you the same thing, but I think we both know the answer to that. I'm almost hurt you didn't ask for my help... Wilhelm laughed, before pushing a button on a nearby console which lit up the entire R&D lab, which revealed Leon's own pet project. Leon grinned back at Wilhelm, his own little secret having been found out =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= You're not the only one who is a little hurt. You should know my system logs every use of this room. It looks more like a cybernetic enhancement...
=Dr Leon Lehmann= And yours looks more like a powered suit. Taking up robotics are you?
=Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Only as a pet project... Perhaps we should collaborate on each others projects?
=Dr Conan Moore= Sounds like a brilliant idea. Meanwhile I'll sit here and ponder the mysteries of the galaxy. Conan had snuck in without either one of them noticing and took a seat between them, before he had spoken up, causing Wilhelm and Leon to look perplexed at him, before looking at each other and shrugging. They started by looking over Wilhelm's design before examining Leon's design and going over ways to improve and finish both suits

Wilhelm was sitting on a couch in the common room, flipping through some old case files when he noticed several lights flickering on and off in the hallway just outside the cybernetics lab. He placed the files in a pile as he got up and moved closer to the window, to better observe what was going on with the lights. Suddenly a holo display appeared next to him, alerting him to the fact that the servers had detected an intruder and had cut all hard lines with the rest of the network =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= It seems we have an attacker. Time to call her in... Wilhelm then pulled out his comm link and switched it to the specific comm channel he had arranged to contact Alena on. It would appear his concerns regarding the security of the network were quite valid, a point he intended to stress once he compiled the data from Alena

So, this is their cybernetics lab?
That was her first thought as she strolled into the laboratory. The eccentric woman with the wild, half-red, half-blue-and-green hair, the orange strip visor, matching orange necklace, the pink top, white jacket, black pants, and white boots, looked around at the area she had been invited to by one Dr. Wilhelm van Buuren. She had read up on the man -- doubtless he had tried to do the same for her, and had failed miserably -- and knew a bit about his past. She hadn't expected to find him here, but a paying customer was a paying customer. She wasn't one to deny credits.
She had no problem dishing them out, either.
I could fix it up.

Wilhelm made his way from the common room into the lab area and over to the main doors of the lab as the woman he could only assume was Alena entered. He didn't know a great deal about her, only rumours from a couple of his old friends, all of which agreed she was one of the best hackers out there. He approached her, extending out his hand as he did so, the reactor chest piece glowing through his black shirt =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Wilhelm Van Buuren... and you must be Miss Alena? Please to finally meet you in person...

She didn't spare the chest piece a single glance, catching it in the corner of her eye and caging her emotions about it, keeping them off her face. She had read up on him and knew what it was from, and she already had a query in mind.
"Dr. Van Buuren. You can drop the 'Miss', I'm not one to claim titles," she said as she reached out and took his hand. "I have to say, it's been a while since I've been hired to wreak havoc."
She nodded to the chest piece, letting a curious look spread across her face. "Nice tech. You make it yourself?"

He grinned as she took his hand, asking he drop the Miss title, before explaining it had been some time since she'd been hired to wreck havoc, before finally asking about his chest piece. It was a question he got asked alot from both collegues and patients, thus he was well prepared with an answer =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= The design is my own, but it's just basically a modified Diatium Power Cell. Something a little of necessity, but it can double as a small power supply, which is handy... He then shook her hand, before releasing his grip and straightening up as he faced her, crossing his arms just under his chest =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= To be honest, it's no surprise it's been sometime since you were hired to wreck havoc, You're not the easiest person to locate... Would you like a seat? He then motioned towards the common room just to his left through the glass panel wall

She nodded both in affirmation and in admiration of the design.
"I wasn't supposed to be easy to find off of Nar Shaddaa. That's the whole point of an exile, isn't it?" She winked, then turned to the common room and strolled inside, taking a seat without further ado and leaning back, propping her feet up on a table nonchalantly.
"So what else can I do for you, doc?"

Wilhelm smiled as she winked at him, He was really starting to like her. He then followed her as she moved into the common room and took a seat on the couch. He then sat down opposite her, leaning forward a little as he rubbed his hands together slowly =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Yes, well exile does have it's benefits, though I imagine it can get a little boring sometimes... All I need is a copy of the attack files, that way I can analyse and upgrade the system accordingly... Which if you are not opposed to, you could stick around and help out with?

She smiled.
"A copy of the attack files? Please. Those would only let you know how I would exploit them again. You want to go from extra-rudimentary to rudimentary, or do you want to have me actually help?"
She laughed, the noise sounding like it was something she had once been used to but was too far out of practice to sound sincere.
"Of course I'll stick around. I love designing systems even I couldn't get into." She winked again, a mischievous light sparking in her eye. "I may even do it for free.."

Temporarily pushing the thought of the sounds coming from the janitors closet she'd just passed a few moments ago to the back of her mind, Ali turned a corner and arrived at the Dr. Van Buurens laboratory/offices. She could see Wilhelm talking to an eccentric looking, but attractive, young woman through the clear glass wall. Raising an eyebrow, as the doors swished open, she walked through the doorway. With a smile, she nodded to the young woman then turned to Wilhelm and politely spoke."Dr. Van Buuren, may I have a word with you, please?"

Wilhelm smirked at Alena's remarks about his proposed method of upgrading the system, she was indeed a bit of a fiesty one to be sure, a quality he quite liked in women since it showed they had some spirit to them. He joined in with her short laugh, even though the sound seemed a little unnatural coming from her. When she agreed to stay on and help, he couldn't help but feel a little joy in it, but he wasn't going to let her entirely work for free. After all it was hard finding skilled slicers, so he wasn't going to let her escape easily =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= I appreciate the help. While you're here though, I can teach you a thing or two about office politics around here. The admins are just like any business, you propose something small to fix a recent problem, but you give them a system beyond their expectations, and the rewards are quite... titillating... He then turned towards the door as Alisha Mercotti, one of the higher-up admnins of the RDMC, entered the common room and asked to have a word with him. He had a feeling that she had caught wind of his little test, since he couldn't think of any other reason she'd be down here. Although she didn't appear to be too angry or upset, he had a feeling he could get in and salvage the situation. He then turned back to Alena and gave her a nod =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= Please excuse me for a moment... He then got up from his seat and walked over to where Alisha was standing, before he motioned with his hand towards his office, so they could have some privacy =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= After you Dr. Mercotti...

Nodding once, Ali turned, walking toward Wilhelms office. Once inside, she turned to face him, folding her arms across her chest as she did so.
"I was just sitting in my office when all of a sudden the lights started flickering. Apparently they were flickering throughout the hospital, also. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?"
Her tone was light and curious. She wasn't angry, she just wanted to know what was going on and why. She knew Wilhelm and his colleagues were cybernetic/tech/computer/etc. junkies, and some of the best in their respective fields. It was one of the reasons she'd agreed to hire all of them when Dr. Bismarck retired. She also knew that if anyone could figure out why the RDMC's power supply was acting up, that it would be one of them. Though, she had a sneaking suspicion that Wilhelm already knew why. With a small tilt of her head, she met his gaze with a slight questioning look.

Wilhelm followed Alisha into his office, closing the door behind him, moments before she turned around and questioned him about the flickering lights. He had guessed that was why she was here to talk to him, and thankfully, like usual, she didn't seem overly agitated about it. It was one of the perks of working at the RDMC, most of the admin staff were fairly laid back people, so long as you didn't over step boundaries too much. As she met his gaze with a questioning look, he returned it with a bit of a sly smile, knowing it was better to own up to it rather than to try and act oblivious. Although he should have informed her of the test before hand, he felt that for a control situation to leave her unawares to see how she would react. He had obviously taken all manner of precautions to ensure that none of the systems hit would be vital one's to a patients life =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= I'm sure I could say I didn't, but you probably already know that's a lie. I know I probably should have informed you, but I felt it more prudent to run a test of the security without too many people knowing. I was worried a true test could not be performed, unless everyone was unaware of the impending attack. From the preliminary report, our systems are a shambles that are unfit for protecting the data that we do. I was careful and made sure no patients would be put in danger...

She listened to his explanation about the systems failure and could understand his reasoning for not informing anyone. Shaking her head slightly, she knew he was right. He wouldn't have been able to perform a true testing of the system if people knew. Damn techies and their correct logic! Truth be told - she had been worried about the security system for some time now, especially with the current events going on in the galaxy, and had actually planned on discussing it with Wilhelm. Apparently he'd been worried about the same things, or else he wouldn't have staged this little experiment. Rubbing a hand across forehead, she sighed.
"How bad is it exactly, and how long will it take to have a new system up and running?"

Wilhelm was thankful his somewhat hastily thought up logic had actually done the trick. He then gave a somewhat hesitant smile as she asked just how bad it was and how long a replacement would take, which if truth be told he knew neither answer yet. He still needed to gather the logs from Alena, analyze it to see some of the more pressing matters, and adjust his diagram to account for any needed changes =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= At this stage I can't be certain, I still need to review the logs to see what's the most pressing issues. Once that is attended to, I can draw up a new system setup and then begin working out how long it will take. My best guess, under the assumption we first need to rip out the entirety of the old system, along with the assumption that the caverns underneath the RDMC are all in good condition, my best guess at this stage would be roughly two to three months, at minimum. The fact we would still need a running security system during the change over further complicates the situation, since we will have to work wing-by-wing, first removing the old stuff and then adding the new stuff and getting it up and running... I'd rather not elaborate too much at the moment and bore you out of your brains yet... But you get the idea, don't you?
