Kassidy Payne had a lot on her mind as she made her way to the HAMR Corp labs to speak with her younger sister Jaina. A lot had happened in the last few hours, beginning with the holocomm from Crystal Kayne and ending with Stefanie finally telling her, Lindsay, and Nikky the real reasons why she had left Coruscant, and Crystal, four years ago. Reasons that became all too clear when Stefanie explained why she did what she did. It was to protect all of them; Kassidy, Lindsay, Alexandra, Jaina, Andrea, Crystal, and Lily. Everyone that Stefanie loved, or in the case of Crystal Kayne, the one she was in love with, from the evilness that was Derak Arthos and his apparent lackey - the darksider who had broken into Stefanie's and Crystal's apartment and proceeded to mentally torture Stefanie for hours with visions of all their deaths while Crystal lay unconscious nearby. The when he was finished with Stefanie, he wiped all of Crystals memories of the break in, the scuffle that ensued, and had even cleaned up the mess before leaving.
For so long, Stefanie had walked around with that secret until the holocomm from Crystal finally broke the floodgates that held it all back in Stefanie's mind. For so long Kassidy had wondered why her best friend had become so distant, and now she knew that it was to protect all of them from harm. As she walked down the hallway to the entrance to the labs she stamped down the anger that had risen in her, an anger that she only felt one other time before today, when she found out what had actually happened, what Stefanie had went through.
Upon rounding the corner, and entering the lobby area, she spied Felicity Lockhart sitting in her office at her desk working diligently at her beloved holocomputer. Smiling, Kassidy pressed a button on the console next to the sliding glass doors and waved to the blonde when she looked up from the holoscreen. Returning the smile, Felicity pushed a button on the keyboard in front of her and the doors swished open to allow Kassidy admittance.
"Hello, Felicity, how are you this evening?" Kassidy asked, and though she really did care how the younger woman was, right now she was rather anxious to see and talk to Jaina. Glancing around the very spacious room of the computer lab, she didn't immediately see her sister but she knew she was there somewhere because of their connection through the Force. Gazing back to Felicity, she smiled slightly. "Is Jaina around? I need to talk to her about something very important...."

Although Wilhelm had been finishing up a consult, the moment that Kassidy Payne had entered the lab area, a small alert had been issued to his comm link. He had programmed the lab AI to inform him of any visits by any of the members of the PMS lawfirm. Though, it was more a cover, just so that he could know when Kassidy visited. He had taken quite the interest in the blue eyed brunette from the moment he had met her. She posed him a challenge, unlike many women before her. So he intended to rise to the occasion, and see where it all lead. Plus, she happened to be one of his sister's clients, and one of the people that had helped him and Samael open Lust. Wasting no further time, Wilhelm made his way from the consulting suites over to the lab area where Felicity and Kassidy were both located in that moment, offering a curt nod to the lawyer =Dr Wilhelm Van Buuren= A pleasure to see you here Counsellor Payne. Might I be able to help you with anything?

Before either Kassidy or Felicity could speak again, Dr. Wilhelm Van Buuren walked through the doors of the computer labs and greeted Kassidy asking if there was anything he could help her with. Turning, she face him with an amused smile that semi masked the troubling look marring her otherwise pretty features. Tilting her head a little to the side, and folding her arms over her chest, she spoke with a bit humor in her tone but there was an underlying hint of weariness of the days events evident also.
"Counselor Payne? Really now, Wil....I thought we were past that stage of our relationship." She gave him a mock look of consternation, though there was a glint of teasing in her eyes, before continuing. "I just need to see Jaina for a few minutes and talk to her about something very important....something that I just found out about today, and it involves her too." She paused a moment taking both Wil and Felicity into her gaze while she silently thought about what she was going to say to Jaina if the younger Payne sister ever decided to show up.

Behind closed doors... most certainly. Can't blame me for trying to be professional at work... He smirked then, in an attempt to try and cheer her up. But it was quickly replaced by a more concerned look as Kase inquired after Jaina. He didn't need the force to know that something was not right. Kassidy might be good at convincing a jury, but he had spent enough time with her to know there was something wrong. So he pulled out his datapad and sent an urgent alert to Jaina, summoning her to the lab She should be here shortly...

Jaina had just stepped out of the turbolift when her datapad beeped with a message. Taking the device from the pocket of her lab coat, she saw it was an urgent message from Dr. Van Buuren and quickened her pace to the computer lab. Her mind was racing as she walked through the lobby of HAMR Corp, wondering what was going on that Wil would send a message like that. Rounding the corner by the computer labs, she sensed her sister Kassidy in the vicinity before stopping at the door long enough to swipe her ID card and place her palm on the scanner beside entrance. The doors opened with a soft swish to allow her to pass through.
Glancing around the room, she noticed Kassidy standing in front of Felicity's desk with a somewhat troubled look on her face. Pursing her lips, Jaina nodded to Felicity seated at the desk in front of a holomonitor, and Dr. Van Buuren, who was standing nearby the desk, before looking at Kassidy with an arched eyebrow.
"Kassy..." She began while taking a step closer, a look of concern showing in her brown eyes. "...is everything okay? What's going on? What's wrong?" And she knew something was definitely wrong from the look on her sisters face and the fact that she wasn't her usual jovial, and somewhat sarcastic, self. Something was weighing on Kassidy's mind. Something was troubling her, Jaina could see it reflected in her eyes and on her face.

Turning at the sound of Jaina's voice, Kassidy gave the younger woman a tired smile as she approached the front of Felicity's desk where Kassidy stood.
She smiled slightly at Jaina's use of the childhood nickname she had tagged Kassidy with when she first began to learn to talk because she couldn't say 'Kassidy' properly until she was around 8 years old. The name had stuck though only her closest friends and family ever called her that anymore, and even then it was only on occasion.
Pushing that fond memory to the back of her mind for the moment, Kassidy gave a small sigh as she glanced down at the chrono on her wrist and saw that it was nearing 7 P.M.. Bringing a hand up to rub her forehead, she met Jaina's worried gaze. "Can you take off now? There's something important that I need to talk to you about....in private...." She spoke, dropping the hand from her forehead while continuing to hold her younger sisters worried stare. She knew she was probably sounding rather cryptic, but she didn't want to discuss this in front of Felicity, or Wil - not yet anyway. She wanted to tell Jaina about it first since it affected her also.

Wilhelm studied Kassidy, all too aware of the anxiety she was exhibiting. He turned to Jaina, before she even had a chance to ask him. This was clearly an important family matter, and he was not going to get in the way of it Take what ever time you need, we'll survive without you around for a little bit...

Felicity nodded in agreement with Wil as she lifted a mug of caf from her desk and took a drink with a nonchalant wave of her free hand. Jaina smiled at both of them while gathering her things and speaking. "Thank you, both, and I'll see you sometime tomorrow!"
She then turned to Kassidy, who had moved closer to the door, and arched an eyebrow. "Okay, I'm ready....lead the way, sis."
With that, the Payne sisters departed the HAMR Labs, but not before Kassidy verbally expressed her thanks to Wil and Felicity for letting Jaina leave work a little earlier than she normally would have. Soon enough they were walking through the main lobby of the RDMC, exchanging greetings with the various people they knew who worked there, before exiting the building and climbing into Kassidy's speeder in the main parking garage. They would eventually end up at Kassidy's apartment to have that talk Kassidy had mentioned earlier.
