Achiira listened intently as Vakim spoke, a little bit of concern settling in her mind as he mentioned that the Lord administrator offered clearance instead of orbital control, and that it seemed Jedi presence was not needed. This all didn't make sense to her. Why would someone send an off world transmission, but then their help be avoided upon arrival? Maybe this planet want to contain the matter on their own, without outside interference.
Achiira nodded towards Vakim to confirm she had understood his orders. She looked over to Kalli and gave her a gentle smile to reassure her that she was on board with the decision and was ready. It made sense that Herself and Kalli were the ones to head into the outpost, after all they were the ones with the creepy mind games as Viv would so kindly put it. Her smile was quickly interrupted as Viv started to question Vakim's orders, causing Achiira to feel a slight discomfort yet she felt it may only have been out of protectiveness towards her. Viv was correct in the matter that Achiira still had a long way to go with the dueling aspect of her training, and it did put a flicker of doubt in her own mind, but she quickly assured herself that Kalli is a Master Jedi. But something else stirred at her quite longingly, and it was the word ambush. Memories and thoughts had quickly settled into Achiira's mind, the death of her Master, the dark Jedi that had slain her, the grief and sadness following rapidly. There were two ambushes that night, and Achiira was able to sense the first one, avoiding any fighting and death, but the second one she somehow wasn't able to sense, and it often plagued her and carried the weight of her Master's death.
Achiira gave a sharp inhale and exhale as she managed to settle her mind and suppress the memories, hoping that no one else had heard and would cause a reason for any concern. Achiira didn't say anything to Viv as she knew Kalli was handling it, instead she kept her eyes to Viv and gave her a smile of reassurance and trust, hoping she would notice. She turned her attention to Kalli and moved over towards her as she spoke for the two. Feeling sure of herself she answered Kalli.
"No Master StarFlight, I believe I am ready to depart, although, let's not go over passed the hour mark." Achiira smiled softly and laughed at herself, before looking over to Alexia, who seemed to be in a much calmer mood than Viv, and gave her a warm smile and a nod. It was all that was needed. She then spoke to Vakim.
"Thank you Master Vakim, I appreciate your trust in me, I hope all remains well here at the ship whilst we are gone. May the Force be with you all."

Vakim listened as Viv spoke up, the only one to question the orders given. He knew very well where she was coming from and the concern she felt. It was this thinking that kept his mind calm at the sudden questions. He knew the nature Viv had and the scrutiny she faced because of it. While entirely different from himself, he had also faced such harshness from time to time because of how he freely utilized the darkness when the situation arose. As such, he couldn't fault her for that, either. For now, it was best to further try and ease her mind on the situation. "I understand your concern's Vivikayl. But there is no reason for worry. Master Starflight and Achiira will keep in contact via commlink and the Force if they need further assistance. You also have your own senses so while you keep busy here, you can keep tabs on them and the flow of the Force throughout the town. If you sense anything off, report it to me immediately, yet calmly so as to not create a stir. Trust in your former master's skills to protect Achiira, but also trust in her's as well. Have you not been helping her? To not feel she is up to the task is to doubt your own abilities. As Empaths, they are best suited for this role because not only can they pick up on the feelings of others regarding this situation, but they can also sense out any hostility that may befall them. Also, this area isn't large. If anything happens, we can reach them quickly." He then walked up to her and placed a large hand on her shoulder, one that could have easily engulf her entire head. Trust in the Force and trust in them."
He then gave a nod to the team as he turned from them and began to lower to the boarding ramp. As it began its descent, the sound of the blowing wind already catching their ears before hitting them. Taking a deep breath he led the team downwards. It was then he already saw a few men working to attach lines to their ship. He stopped only a few feet before turning to them fully, his eyes watching. "They sure don't waste time." A bit of tension could then be felt from Vakim, though it was more towards the sudden work to his ship rather than the situation. It had become his baby since the death of his master. But he then motioned towards the one man standing a bit off from them to Kalli and Achiira, knowing that was where they would be needing to start.
It didn't go without notice the rebreathers and suits, though he could tell what was meant the job on the landing pads and what was possibly for the disease. It would be up to Kalli and Achiira to figure that out.

Vivikayl remained eerily and unusually quiet throughout Vakim’s speech that it might have been even more of a concern to whatever she was silently plotting. It wasn’t until he placed his hand on her shoulder that it snapped her gaze back up to the Chistori Knight and nodded her head, feigning agreement, towards him. It wasn’t like she didn’t trust in the Force or in their abilities to accomplish their mission. What she didn’t trust was the decision made to send only two into this vast unknown with an even bigger problem wreaking havoc on the planet. Although the Echani woman didn’t voice it, her faint pout and sour look showed as much.
"Your mission, your call," Vivikayl muttered like the child she looked like, rolling her shoulder to get that massive weight off of it.
Although Vivikayl’s behavior was more than concerning, Kalli knew that both Vakim and Alexia would have their eyes on her and keep her in line during her absence. Rather than shift her focus for even a second from the task at hand, the Master Jedi gave a slight nod of her head in Achiira’s direction, her serene smile still clearly evident on her lips. Kalli remained relatively silent as the boarding ramps lowered, the howling winds sending a bustling burst to send her robes violently fluttering all around her. With her hair pulled up securely, Kalli only needed to brace herself for the mixture of the winds and light before the truth of the scene unfolded around them, which left her the chance to open up each of her senses before she even stepped foot off the ship. The first thing she picked up, though, was the remnants of fragmented doubts that peeked through Achiira's composure. They were fading away, quickly, easing Kalli's concern for the Padawan, but she still reached out gently within the Force with calm words of encouragement.
Don't doubt yourself, young one. I have your back.
With the whole of the refueling station in view, Kalli narrowed her eyes and took in a quick yet expertly critical glance of her surroundings. High-grade rebreathers--an expensive investment for a mere refueling station. Although the blasting winds could be a reason for each to wear a device, it was doubtful that they would have access to such high-tech accommodations. What more, other pads were occupied but not by ships. Once she was finished sweeping the area, she began her descent, heading directly towards the Dorus male who stood there, clashing against the Bothans that scurried across the pad.
Remember our mission.
Kalli’s voice rang out with crystal clarity within the Force despite the raging winds that howled within the Padawan’s ear. She would need Achiira to glean as much of her surroundings as possible through her talents with Force Empathy. The Master Jedi’s attention, though, was fixed upon the man standing there, waiting as though waiting for them to disembark. Approaching the lab-coated individual, the woman ensured that Achiira remained by her side the whole way. For now, she would take the lead, and allow Achiira the chance to soak in what she could, be it from the Bothans, this Dorus, or any other lingering emotions that might have been radiating from the white tents that had been built on surrounding refueling pads.
"Excuse me...! Sir...!" Kalli called out, attempting to raise her voice loud enough to be heard over the winds and cut through the tech that the man wore. "We're in need of supplies for our departure. Could you point us towards the outpost from here?"
Although this place was crawling with clues to shed some light, they only had a short time to gather all that they could. Capturing this man in any kind of conversation could open the floodgates to a myriad of intel, judging by his appearance alone. If not, then he would hopefully hold the key to allowing them easy access to their true destination.

Alexia's gaze shifted to the corner of her eye, her focus on Viv. It seemed that the Echani's heart was set on her feelings of the matter. Despite the truth and logic Vakim and Kalli offered, it did nothing to reassure the girl. Though she gave in to what was said, her tone and words further proved her dislike for them. And Alexia knew well enough that if Viv disagreed with something that much, she was liable to run off against orders to achieve what she felt was right, even if it meant endangering the mission, them, or those they wished to help. It was certainly an admirable thing, something that Alexia was proud to see, but there did come a point when that dedication became overzealous. While most times it could become irritable, things always worked out and Viv's antics were forgotten, at least when it came to Alexia. However, with so many unknowns, following that path could make things worse before they could get better.
As Vakim departed the ship with Kalli and Achiira right behind, Alexia placed a hand on Viv's shoulder and whispered to her. "Things will be fine, Viv. Master Starflight and Achiira will be back before we realize it and then the true work will begin. You'll get your chance for action and be able to help everyone. Patience."

Blue Shadow: Resurgence The Duros didn't step forward when the Jedi called out to him, keeping his distance clearly even though the wind made it difficult for normal conversation. He raised his voice to respond - the rebreather on his face causing a little bit of distortion as his voice carried on the wind."Greetings Traveler,The sound of his voice wasn't pressing, but was urgent.I wish our meeting was under more... ideal circumstances ... there is a sickness here. I'm afraid the Doctor has quarantined the entire Mesa. You should have been rerouted to the Capital."At the sound of the Duros' words several of the bothans stopped in their work and looked up at him. Their expressions were neutral, but their emotions were defeated, angry, and scared. Several of them even narrowed their eyes on the man, even though it was obvious he was not the cause of their current plight, he was on easy to blame. A member of the team from the capital now in charge. Their lives were crumbling.
As if aware of the hostile presence the Duros hesitated and gestured towards one of the buildings dug into the side of the Mesa wall. His own emotions would be more difficult to decipher - or just perhaps more complicated to discern intent."Two may proceed to the supply depot and make order of anything you need. Keep in mind that Medical supplies are not available as everything has been turned towards the care of those on the Mesa. Also i would highly recommend re-breathers for you and your companion."The Duros in the white lab coat held out his arm to indicate their desired path, but made no indication to shoo them onward, if they had more they wished to discuss with him. The Bothans, seemingly placated quickly and quietly returned to their work.

A nod from Kalli and her serene smile was enough to let Achiira know it was time to leave the ship. She thought momentarily about the discomfort of Viv and if she felt reassured by Vakim's words or Kalli's, but remembered that Alexia was there to watch over her and there would be no need for worry. Both of the Jedi stood in silence as the boarding ramp descended, the wind howling through the sides of it as it did so, causing wisp's of hair to fall from Achiira's ponytail, and the bottom trails of her robe to wrap at her legs. Light suddenly hit Achiira's eyes, causing her to squint a little and take a few moments for them to adjust. As she regained her composure, Kalli's voice cut through her mind within the force, another chime of reassurance and confidence. She took no time to reach out into the force and speak back to her.
Yes Master StarFlight, I will be mindful.
Sudden curiosity peaked at Achiira as the loading ramp had hit the floor and she could now see the area of the landing zone, and the number of Bothans that occupied it, and one lone male Duross that stuck out like a sore thumb. She looked at them closely, trying to take in what she could, and anything the force guided her mind to. Re-breather's she thought. They all wore re-breathers, even the Duros , who by the looks of it, didn't seem to be part of any refueling team, or landing pad activity you would normally see, given that he wore a white lab coat. Kalli moved forward towards the Duros, Achiira following close to her side, still scanning their surroundings. It seemed that the Jedi ship was the only ship that occupied a landing pad, the other pads had large white tents, the kind you would see in a quarantine of some sort, and this set Achiira slightly on edge and her senses picking up on despair and death that emanated from them. sadness took hold of her for a moments thought and drifting over those that had died, before she allowed it pass. There could be other reasons as for why these kind of tents were erected, but given the nature of why the Jedi had been sent here, it seemed unlikely there was any other reason, also given the strong feelings Achiira received from them. She wondered why the Lord Administrator would allow the Jedi to Land here given that he hadn't mentioned the situation.
The force shifted around her as she listened to Kalli call out to the Duros. It felt cold once more, like it had in her chambers on the ship, her temperature lowering slightly, causing the hairs on her body to stand on edge again. There was more of an urgency to it, unlike before, yet the sharpness of it remained, and she allowed herself to be immersed within it, mindful of the way it was flowing and the feelings it would present. As the Duros responded to Kalli, Achiira's sense's flared up and a sudden wave of emotion hit her, as if she'd ran into a brick wall. There was anger and fear, and the more she pressed into the force the more heightened they seemed to be. As she looked around with a slow turning of her head, she noticed that a number of Bothans were looking over to their direction, ceasing their work momentarily. They were looking at him, and that was when Achiira realized the strong emotions were coming from the Bothan's. She couldn't work out why, but she would inform Kalli of her feelings once in a private setting, maybe she would have been able to sense something more in depth.
Achiira seemed to have missed most of the reply that the Duros had given as she pulled herself back from within the force and saw him indicating to an area with his arm. She glanced up to his face, and was very curious as to why she couldn't gather anything of the males emotions. It was as if he had blocked out his mind or built up a wall that couldn't be easily penetrated by those he did not wish to, or her abilities weren't strong enough yet. Also something she could pass on to Kalli. Achiira looked to Kalli as she waited for her to walk on.

Vakim watched the interaction between Kalli and the Duros for only a few moments before turning back to his ship. For now, there was little that even he could do until they had more information, a task that had been left to the Jedi Master and Padawan. They, out of all those on his team, was best suited to gather this knowledge. That left him here to play the part of dealing with his ship so as to not further cause distress and suspicion. Every step had to be played carefully if this mission was going to succeed in the best possible way.
Looking back to the Bothans, he watched as they stopped for a moment, their gazes shifting to the Duros for a few seconds before returning to work. Pulling out a datapad, he began bringing up the checklist and ship layout that he and his crew did from time to time to ensure the Fireblaze was always at her best. It further allowed him to play his current role while giving him something to keep him occupied, his dislike for the situation no better than Viv's.

Vivikayl remained at the top of the boarding ramp, just within the ship. Although she could hear the howling gusts from below, she didn't need to worry about picking up her voice like the others. She could get a glance at her old Master and the struggle she exuded in speaking to the strange man on the landing pad. Alexia spoke of patience, which was something even the Echani knew she needed to have right this second--but for very different reasons. Her silver eyes never left Kalli's figure as she leaned against the wall and crossed her arms over her chest. Once her old Master showed her the path into the outpost, that was when the real fun would begin. However, the young Knight by Alexia's side outwardly showed disinterest, something that went against the core of her very nature.
"Just an hour, right?" Vivikayl asked Alexia with her vision locked upon Kalli and Achiira. "I guess it's not nearly enough time for them to get into too much trouble."
Although Vivikayl had seemingly conceded to Vakim's will, those who knew her better knew that she wasn't the type to give in so easily to such demands. It wasn't beyond Vivikayl to show a false front to hide the truth of her plotting brewing in her mind. Although her bubbliness could be seen as an annoyance, she was unusually dull and apathetic at this moment that one should have been worried.
Small behavioral movements spoke louder than words. It didn't go unnoticed that the Duros appeared to keep himself separated by a couple of meters and made no movement to encroach past that. Respecting that unspoken law, Kalli paused and gently held out a hand to hold Achiira back as well. Although the wind created a barrier that swept away his voice before it could reach her, there was some information Kalli could piece together to fit a generalized interpretation. However, the words of 'sickness' and 'quarantined' sent an odd feeling to wash over the Master Jedi, only heightened by the idea of being rerouted to the Capital. In such a short moment, Kalli knew that Achiira picked up on something. Where Achiira was blindly focused on the entirety of her surroundings, Kalli remained focused on the Padawan as her conduit to the general emotional status around them. What the woman sensed from her wasn't pleasant. With this new information, Kalli turned her gaze towards Achiira and offered gentle reassurance within the Force that echoed louder in her head than the gust in her ears.
Would you be a dear and head back to Vakim? Have him fit you for a rebreather. I'll be just a moment before I do so myself.
With her head still tilted towards Achiira, Kalli's gaze flashed back up towards the Duros with an odd intensity for a Jedi Master. There were indeed more things she wished to discuss with the man, but not with the Padawan within earshot. Nonetheless, the Master held her composure in unwavering serenity as she addressed him cordially as she had prior.
"We'll follow your expert advice. We were not made aware of the planet's true status. To my knowledge, we were directed to land here instead of the Capital. Who is the Doctor here? I would like to have a word with them."
For now, the Master Jedi kept her explanation short until she had ensured Achiira's departure back to the ship. However, some things weren't adding up. There was already a plethora of misdirection and secrets, for one reason to another. If there was any intention to lead her group into harm's way via this sickness or by other means, Kalli would do all she could to uncover as much before blindly taking a Padawan onto the battlefield. Reaching out to Vakim in the Force, Kalli briefed him quickly, her Force essence rippling with an eerie determination usually uncharacteristic for the usually serene Jedi Master, like a fierce, predatorial mother protecting her young.
We were apparently to be rerouted to the Capital due to sickness here. Get Achiira and the other girls onto the ship and fit them for rebreathers. I'll join you in a moment.
Kalli wanted the young ones out of eyeshot. Vakim had been on enough missions with her to have an inkling of an understanding of why. However, Her expression before the Duros revealed nothing out of the ordinary, as Master Starflight quietly waited for his reaction to her earlier explanation.

Achiira still felt a little flooded and overwhelmed by the strength of all the emotions she picked up on, and how fast the force was able to guide her to them. She definitely knew that her abilities had somewhat grown over the last month or so she had been with the other Jedi back at Felucia, but this was the first time she'd been able to fully notice. It was a no brainer that things were seriously wrong on here at the Mesa 29, and it felt as though things would get a lot worse.
Achiira was still looking towards Kalli as she met her gaze, and found the Knight's voice resonating at quite a volume within her mind, instructing her to return to Vakim and get fitted with a re-breather. She wondered though, why Kalli would remain outside a little longer. What had the Jedi Master picked upon that Achiira could not? Or maybe she needed to say something that she could not with Achiira still present. Whatever it was, Achiira definitely knew that Kalli was sending he back to report to Vakim what information she gathered within the force. She gave a slight nod to Kalli, turned on her heels and proceeded back to the ship, Kalli's voice beginning to be drowned out by the fierce wind as she spoke to the Duros once more.
Achiira watched the Bothans work around the ship as she walked, they didn't seem to interact with anyone but themselves and the job they were doing. She wondered if they were at all tempted to speak with the Jedi about their current situation and request some help personally. At least this way it would be something direct from the occupants of this planet. Her gaze was broken from them as she stepped into the shadow of the towering Vakim, his height accentuating Achiira's small petite frame.
"Master Terrek, Master StarFlight has instructed for me to be fitted with a re-breather. She will return in a few moments". She paused slightly before speaking once more. "There is much going on here I feel, and much worse it will get." She left it at that, and waited for Vakim's instruction, giving a slight glance up through the ship towards Alexia and Viv with a straight, yet concerned facial expression.

"An hour is more than likely more than what they will need, but no more than an hour otherwise. Nowhere near enough time to really fall into any trouble." She then glanced over at the Echani, both a playful and serious look in her eye. "And hopefully enough time to keep you busy." It was all she said, making it clear that Alexia had an idea of what Viv was planning. The human girl hadn't spent all these years and adventures with the Echani to not know what was coming.
It was then that her attention shifted to the foot of the boarding ramp as Achiira suddenly returned to Vakim. It made her wonder what was going on that she and Kalli weren't heading into the outpost.

It was only a few moments of scanning over his datapad before Achiira returned, telling him of what Kalli requested and what she felt. At first, Vakim didn't look away from his datapad but gave the slightest of nods. True enough that with the winds, the others would still be hard-pressed in hearing anything. Still, he didn't wish to further alert anyone with actions. It wasn't as if it really mattered, though. Looking up, he saw Viv and Alexia still standing at the top of the boarding ramp, making them easy to gather.
It was then he looked down at the Padawan. "Alright. Let's head aboard and get you all fitted then." He motioned her forward as he heard the voice of Kalli within his mind, causing him to look back to her. As they all suspected, something was terribly wrong here and it wasn't the virus, which seemed to be the case. There was too much misdirect and secrecy for his liking, something he knew the Jedi Master shared his views in. In fact, he already knew what was about to befall the Duros. He had worked with Kalli before and knew just how capable the woman was in getting information.
Only the slightest of smirks appeared on his face before disappearing when he headed up the ramp. Reaching it, he looked at the three girls. "Let's get you all set with rebreathers. This way." He motioned for them to follow as he led them down the hall of the ship.

Blue Shadow: Resurgence The Duros Doctor's attention was turned to focus on the one he deemed the more superior than the other, though his gaze did turn to the other that seemed to be watching, listening, and in all ways observing the surroundings. From their garb and behaviors they were Jedi, and seemed to do nothing to hide the fact. This made him nervous but the nervousness was not visible. When he turned his gaze back to the superior of the two 'the master' he deemed and then she answered him and inquired after the Doctor in charge. He lowered his gaze a little subserviently and gestured to the same building."I will let her know at once you require an audience. She is with her patients right now, but by the time you've restocked she may be available to speak before you leave. Her name is Stevenson or something human like that... I am a Doctor as well, there are a team of us here, sent from the Capital, investigating this illness... but she leads our team and answers directly to... well i dont really know. Someone keeps in contact with her via communicator. We all follow her lead."The Doctor's red eyes blinked once then again as the younger of the two was apparently bored with the conversation and left, or perhaps she was relaying information back to their captain. He looked over the Jedi's shoulder towards the landing ramp but made no sign of moving towards the ship or the Jedi."This wind does not agree with my skin. I shall await you inside, and inform the good Doctor you wish to speak with her."He nodded slightly, not quite a bow but a decently adequate show of respect, then moved away towards the building he had indicated. As he moved off he raised his wrist comm to his lipless mouth and began speaking into it rapidly, but the words were lost under the sound of the wind and he was quickly out of earshot moments later.

Although there was still plenty more that the Master Jedi wished to discuss with the Duros doctor, as he made his final explanation and gave his farewells, Kalli deemed that this was the proper course of action and left him be. There was enough that she had picked up on. One being the disarray and miscommunication between this Capital team and the Capital itself and the added concern that they weren't fond of their presence here. Although Kalli had wished to capitalize on gaining sensitive information while out of earshot from the younger ones, unless she wanted to overstep her bounds and give them more of a reason to be wary of their presence, Kalli would need to accept this immediate decision.
With a nod of her head towards the Duros in her own silent farewell, Kalli turned and headed back for the ship, where she caught up quickly with Vakim and the younger ones. She, too, would need to be prepped with a rebreather before heading towards the indicated building if she wanted to establish any sort of rapport with the medical team.
"You think this means we're finally gonna see some action?" pouted Vivikayl towards Alexia and Achiira as she adjusted and prodded the device that would ensnare her mouth.
While the girls appeared occupied, Kalli took a moment to lean in towards Vakim and speak quietly with the few updates that she could offer.
"The man who met with us is apparently a doctor with the medical team here, which is a team sent by the Capital. According to him, they've quarantined the whole mesa due to this sickness. I think we can officially verify that the deaths aren't from natural causes, not on this scale. I would still pursue any information until we're positive without a shadow of a doubt. Unfortunately, he left before I was able to gain any additional information about the mesa's status, a confirmation as to what plagues the mesa, as well as answers regarding the unsettling differing reports we've received from the various Capital entities. He's arranging an audience for me to meet with the lead doctor over this project, though, should you believe as I that this is a worthy enough lead to pursue."
Kalli caught Vivikayl's eyes glance over to her direction, meaning that despite her seemingly distracted nature, the young Echani was paying close attention. With a slight sigh, the older woman shifted her focus back to the Chistori, though, to provide any sort of guidance that Vakim may have requested. As it would be for the whole of this mission, she left the next course of action in his hands.
"Shall I proceed with this new lead, or does the current mission stand for Achiira and myself to reach the outpost?"

When Vakim and Achiira boarded the ship once more, she merely nodded as she followed the Chistori down the hall to where the rebreathers were being stored. Picking up one that looked close to a size best for her features, she began to work with it. When Viv asked her question, Alexia only shrugged. "Who knows? I wouldn't get too excited about it. I'd imagine that we have been requested to simply wear these while we are here. Doesn't mean we'll be doing anything other than what we've been instructed to do."
She then noticed Kalli arrive and begin speaking with Vakim. However, her words were quiet and done so in a way that she couldn't even read her lips. She wasn't fond of the secrecy they were holding in regards to the mission, but perhaps it was best for them to discuss matters and how to progress before addressing it with everyone. Still, she trusted in the two older Jedis' decision on the matter. What they could quickly gather, however, based on the need for rebreathers is that they were facing a sickness of some kind, allowing them to narrow the field of focus moving forward.

Vakim didn't look at Achiira as she spoke, instead giving only a slight nod. She knew that he was busy, but she thought it would have been rather polite for him to look at her, yet she got a feeling it was probably in his best interest to let what she had said pass and rest, as to not cause any concern with the two girls watching from atop the loading ramp. It was only after he'd looked up to the girls that he then looked down at Achiira and proceeded to move things along. She followed Vakim as he led the three of them down the hall of the ship to get their re-breathers, noticing Kalli's presence behind them through the force. She wondered how the Jedi Master got on with the Duros.
Achiira fidgeted with the re-breather that was now on her face, feeling a slight discomfort at its tight fitting. She noticed Kalli speaking to Vakim, no doubt informing him of their outside surroundings and her meeting with the Duros. She glanced to Viv who was stood next to her, smiling behind the device on her face as she knew how eager Viv was for some action. Like Viv, Achiira also wondered what was going to be happening now. The next move would all depend on the information given to Vakim.
"I think it might be a while longer before we get any action. I reckon there'll be lots of talking with people before that comes. It will keep you on your tip toes, eh Viv!" Achiira laughed slightly, hoping the atmosphere might lighten a little.

Vakim stood back and allowed the girls to work on the fitment of the rebreathers, standing ready in case they needed any help. It was then that Kalli joined them, surprise clear on his face. They had just barely begun to fit themselves meaning she had spent no time getting more answers from him. As she spoke, though, the reasoning became clear. The Duros was quick to flee from any further questioning. It made him wonder if he did so knowing what was coming or felt that any questions were best directed towards this head doctor. It added to his suspicion in his sudden retreat. But it made it more imperative to get their answers, even if it meant being much more forward. Too many secrets were being held with way too much disconnect. He knew, as Jedi, they were to be ready for the unknown. But he hated putting others into such a situation, especially when these games were being played.
"Through this we can start creating a better picture. It's clear now that there is a disease going around. We still can't eliminate other causes yet. After all, a sick person may have inadvertently caused some kind of cave in when mining. But the major player is the disease. Now we need to figure out whether this is naturally occurring or a biological attack. But this secrecy and disconnect disturb me. You and Achiira you confront the doctor. Do what you feel you need to get what knowledge we require. Alexia, Vivikayl, and myself with head into the outpost with you and split into two groups to see what else we can figure out. I don't trust what's happening and don't want anyone going solo except myself. I would trust you alone, but Achiira would work best alongside you." He gave an irritated growl before reaching up and grabbing his rebreather. "Go ahead and get yourself fitted. Once we are ready, I'll give the new orders."

As the Spectral Prowler made its way down from orbit and flew over the open terrain of Bothawui, Kia stood at the edge of her bridge between her two pilots. Letting go of herself, she opened herself up more to the Force as she let its flow guide her to the destination she believed it was calling them to. Makayl remained skeptical and disliked the idea of trusting Kia and the Force to guide them instead of going through the proper channels to know where they needed to go. However, she did as she was instructed, continuing to scan the area in their paths for settlements and outposts that might have been on this course. Kel, of course, held no qualms with Kia's feelings, believing them to have merit. He may have held issues with the Jedi and Sith, and even at one time hated the Force, but currently, through Kia, he believed he found one of the few who used the Force as it was meant to be used and chose to stand against the different Force orders to focus on aiding those in need above all else.
Several minutes of flying past before the Zeltron found something on the scanners. Gathering what information she could, she looked to Kia, somewhat surprised they were coming up on anything. As much as she hated it, she couldn't deny that the feeling Kia was following was leading them there. It wasn't luck as outposts were much too spread out here for them to be on the correct path for this.
"Looks like we got something. An outpost station in Mesa 291."
Without a word, Kia moved from her place and stood directly behind Makayl and looked over the location they would be coming up on soon. Several moments went by as she focused on the Force and the location. She wanted to be sure this was it and it wasn't something further along. After some time, though she gave a nod before standing straight. "That's where we need to go. Lock in the coordinates and contact them for landing clearance for our three ships."
The Zeltron nodded and began her work as Kia departed the bridge. With a course set, there was no longer a need for her to be on there, thus she headed on down to the second level. Making her way down the hall, she passed through the open cargo bay, taking yet another moment to think that it might be worthwhile to gain a ground transport to take with them. But doing so would also take from the room they had to utilize in transporting large groups of civilians out of combat zones. In the end, it was too much of a task, or required too large of a ship to truly have all she wished for every situation and had to be happy she had what she did.
Entering one of the rooms at the back of the cargo area, she watched the female Pathoran going on about her work. Leaning against the doorframe for a few moments, she finally spoke up. "How's everything coming along?"
The woman said nothing at first as she continued to work for a few moments more, an eventual grunt of satisfaction coming from her before she looked back to Kia.
"It's coming along well. Just tightening up the sights on my scope. I noticed they were starting to waver a bit the last time we were out so I wanted to make sure they were properly dialed in before she needed to be used again. Can't call me a proper sniper if my shots don't land where I want them." Cracking her back a bit, she then leaned back in her chair as it turned to face Kia fully. "I've finished the work on yours a bit after we left Port Town. They are up and ready to go." She then motioned to the pair of DC-15 blaster pistols on a cushioned rack with other weapons.
Moving over to the rack, Kia picked up one and began to examine it. The black coating of the pistol shone brilliantly as if it was still new. She then held it with both hands to check the sights before spinning it on her finger. It still felt smooth in its movement. Replacing it, she moved over to the lockers where all the gear was and she grabbed a belt from her locker and put it on. "They are looking as good as always. I can't say how lucky I am to have had the Illusionist assign you to my crew. How's the rest of the gear?" Moving back to the pistols, she replaced them into their holsters at her side.
"All I have left is to reattach my scope and everything will be in order. If we are messing with a virus, I doubt we'll see a need for any of the weapons, but the rebreathers are have been checked out as well."
Kia nodded. She hoped for the same. It was then that Kel came over the com system.
Kia, we have received confirmation to land and we will be arriving here shortly.
"Understood, Kel. Bring her in nice and easy."
From the cockpit, the Nautolan nodded as he began his approach. Several hundred meters above the ground, the Tempest-class Stealth Transport came in close to the landing zones as the two Nexus-class Freighters took a wider arc for their landing. Reaching the zone, the tail end of the ship came around in a quick fashion as the ship lined itself up perfectly with the landing pad and it crept inward before settling gently on the ground. Makayl sighed with a shake of her head.
"Can you ever go somewhere without trying to show off your skills as a pilot? I would say that it doesn't qualify as nice and easy when you also possibly terrify the teams on the ground watching."
Kel gave a laugh as his co-pilot called him out for his typically little stunts when behind the stick.
"I brought her down nice and easy. With the inertia dampeners, no one on board will be the wiser. So long as no one down there decides to say anything. Besides, it helps keep the teams working on the pads alert." He could only shrug as Makayl continued to shake her head.
Taking a deep breath once she gave Kel the orders, she made her way over to the EVA suits and rebreathers while the Nautolan worked on the bringing the ship in. Taking one of the masks, she got it fitted properly and made a couple of checks to ensure her voice could be heard. She then nodded to Suya as she headed out to the cargo bay. Standing there waiting was a Zabrak. Reaching him, she noticed that Suya was right behind her, a pair of masks in her hand. She then shook her head. "I want you two to hold back for a moment. Let me get a feel for what's happening and make some form of contact with someone here. I'll call you in once I get more information."
Not seemingly thrilled with the idea, both nodded as Kia moved over to the far wall and hit the button to open the large boarding ramp. Giving a nod to her ground team members, she began her descent as they stood at the top. Here was hoping they could sort this out quickly and get everyone the help they needed.

Vivikayl continued to play with her rebreather, awkwardly attempting to put it on in all the wrong fashions. One would think that she would get it eventually, but the more she fidgeted with it, the more it became apparent that she was just goofing off, per her usual self. Of course, both Achiira and Alexia stating that they probably weren't going to be doing anything different caused a pout to crawl onto her face, even if she was too preoccupied to give a passing glare at either one of them for their dull hopes and dream-crushing words.
"Eh, even if I get off this flying piece of poodoo just to talk to some locals, it's better than nothing. I mean, think about it. Vakim isn't exactly gonna keep us stuck here now. Why else would we all get fitted for these things? We all gotta get out there and use our heads. You don't just put on rebreathers on a supposedly healthy, breathable planet, you know. Something fishier than a Mon Cal's backside is going on down there, and I plan to find out what."
Where many concerns were only a thought better left unvocalized, Vivikayl didn't have an issue stating the obvious, no matter the circumstances. However, the Echani dismissed her thoughts with a careless shrug as she finally fit her rebreather on correctly.
Kalli's focus was too focused upon the Chistori to pay her old apprentice any mind while amongst her friends. With this upsetting news, she realized that pieces of this puzzle were far more vast than they realized. They both needed to remain calm, focused, and realistic. The gravity of the situation was still based upon a hunch and a feeling, even if it was becoming more apparent that their instincts were correct.
As Vakim agreed with her proposed strategy, Kalli nodded her head once firmly towards him. With nothing more needing to be discussed until the new orders were addressed, the Master Jedi brushed past the younger ones and prepped a rebreather for herself. Quickly at the ready, Kalli stood just behind the three younger ones and nodded her head towards Vakim again, this time in a more encouraging manner, signaling that she was ready and that he could begin briefing the others.

Alexia just shook her head as Viv went on. Getting the rebreather fully set in place, she turned to the Echani and put her hands on her hips. "What do we suddenly having to put on masks have to do with us now setting out to do something. Yeah, it's pretty obvious at this point that a disease is an issue here, but that doesn't mean our orders have changed. So long as we are in proximity to anyone who lives here, they want us wearing them, even on the pads." She then gave a sigh. "I'd be careful with that kind of talk. It will be figured out, but claiming that you will find out already sets off red flags, especially anyone who knows you as I do. Be patient and trust that we'll figure things out before your recklessness causes us more of an issue."

Achiira kept silent as she watched and listened to Viv continuously play with her re-breather and voicing her thoughts about leaving the ship. She was right though, we all needed to get of the ship and start using our heads and our skills, but its too risky to bring attention to five Jedi at once, given we weren't wanted here. She felt for Viv, she knew how much Viv hated being idle and being confined to the ship, needing an outlet for all that pent up energy she'd been keeping in. Achiira kept silent even as Alexia responded to Viv, watching Kalli pass through them to prep herself with a re-breather, to which she did quickly and without fuss. She shifted her gaze towards Vakim, as it seemed they we all ready to receive the next lot of orders from him, yet she didn't look at him, more so through him.
She listened still, ever so still. There was a subtle shift in the energy around her, a gentle tapping in the force that was awakening her senses ever since she'd returned to the ship. Achiira's eyes closed, head slowly lolled to the side slightly as if to cock her ear. There seemed to be a connection point, a sort of rope that was wrapped around her and was being tugged at. Eyes still firmly shut, Achiira allowed the force to reside with her being, walked to an empty corner of the room away from the others, to be sure no other presence was affecting her too close by. She could sense a new force signature, their presence strong, and this was made more aware to her as she heard and felt the rumblings of other ships landing outside. Her eyes now suddenly open , Achiira turned to face those present and spoke with a certainty. " I'm not sure if anyone else is aware yet, but there are new arrivals outside, one of them a force user, yet I am unsure if it is a Jedi. Maybe they too have come for the same reason as us."
