Vakim's head lifted a bit as he watched the others fit themselves with their rebreathers. He was easily paying attention to all that was being said, especially when Viv opted to consider his ship a piece of poodoo. Taking a deep breath, his head then lowered as he made his way up to the Echani, his heavy footsteps intentionally resonating within the room before stopping right in front of her. His emerald eyes piercing into the girl, his voice resonated a bit as he let it become amplified by the Force. "So, my ship is a flying piece of poodoo, is it? Perhaps then, if you feel as such, you can attempt to find another way home. The Fireblaze may be old but is constantly maintained and updated. If you want to see ship that truly falls into such a category, I'll be happy to oblige so you never forget how well you have it when you travel."
Giving a huff, he turned a took a few steps back. In part, he was merely messing with her on the subject. Another part was entirely serious. After all, this had been his master's ship before his. Under his care, it might have undergone many modifications, but he had ensured they were all properly outfitted by the CEC so that he wouldn't;t have issues down the line. Every time his team returned from a mission, the ship was to be thoroughly checked to ensure she was always up to speed and well maintained. It was a memento of his master's and didn't care so much for the jokes regarding it, though he knew where he could mess with another and when a comment offered true insult.
It was then that Achiira spoke up. Vakim nodded in response, acknowledging he, too, had felt the arrival of another. "I have felt it as well. However, it is difficult to determine where they stand. I sense no ill intention or dark presence, yet I don't sense the light either. For now, though, we won't worry about them. Whatever their reason for being here, it is theirs until such a time our paths cross. We have our own mission to attend to. Speaking of..."
He then faced them all, seeing they were all prepped and ready to go. "As you all have gathered, a disease our primary concern. It has been verified by the Duros that awaited us as we departed. However, it seems that there is a disconnect between the Captial and this outpost. We were sent here, though we have just been told we should have been redirected to the Capital. There is much that is unknown. What is clear is that something is off. We need to determine just what that is. Secrets are being kept, but as it stands, we don't know who is weaving what story. We must continue to tread with the utmost caution moving forward, though we need to get to the bottom of what is going on." He then looked to Kalli. "Master Starflight, as you have told me, you have gained an audience with the head doctor here. You and Padawan Taan will follow that lead. The rest of us will move about the outpost and see what all we can gather from the locals." He then looked to Alexia and Viv "Knights Vilbri and Barmirr, you two will go and wander the streets together and see what you can gather. Remember, caution, and subtlety. We don't want to cause a panic with our arrival and any questions asked. No one is very fond of us being here as is. Let's not ruin what welcome we've been given. Understood?"
The more formal manner in which he addressed all was a testament to how serious this was and how he wanted everyone to act appropriately. Taking another deep breath, he looked around. "Any questions?"

Vivikayl suddenly straightened as Vakim went on a controlled rampage after the name she called his ship. Although she smiled nervously, it was still a welcomed reprieve from all this seriousness about the disease and the unknown. With a shrug of her shoulders, the Echani tried to dismiss her earlier name-calling. As her feigned nervousness finally shed itself from her expression, the young Knight's mischievous glint returned to her silver eyes.
"I meant no disrespect, sir," she pleaded with a faint giggle. "Please don't leave me here. I don't think the Grand Master would appreciate you abandoning a team member and an order mate to catch an unknown and possibly dangerous disease."
Kalli exhaled deeply at her old apprentice's antics, but she couldn't pay too much attention to her. As both Achiira and Vakim had spoken aloud, another enigmatic variable added itself to this chaotic mix--another presence arriving out of nowhere. It could be nothing. However, it could also be something. This presence was like a silhouette she could see out of the corner of her eye, so the Master Jedi ensured she would attempt to keep tabs should this enigma decide to reveal themselves and their intentions. If there was one thing she could tell, though, this wasn't another Jedi. They would all need to be cautious for the time being.
For now, though, Vakim's instructions had been clear. Kalli nodded firmly towards the Chistori Knight. Glancing over at the Padawan who would accompany her again, Kalli revealed a quiet, encouraging smile as a shimmer in her eyes.
"We'll utilize the same tactics as before, dear. Keep your senses keen to those around, especially the doctor. I'll follow your lead should you sense anything suspicious."
Kalli may have had her mission from the get-go, but Vivikayl beamed ear-to-ear at the news that she would finally get off this piece of junk--but she wouldn't say that out loud again--to do some actual good for this mission. Leaning over towards Alexia with a smug grin on her face, she might as well said 'I told you so' aloud. It was a brief, silent exchange before the Echani again straightened herself in front of Vakim and gave him a rather large, dramatic salute.
"Caution-and-subtlety is my middle name, sir. I got your instructions loud and clear."
Before anyone else could voice their questions or speak of their understanding, too, Vivikayl was already bee-lining towards the boarding ramp. What more, the Echani tried to drag her mission-partner with her by the arm forcefully.
"C'mon, slow-poke," she whined towards Alexia. "We got intel to gather. For the good of the mission!"

Alexia listened as Vakim spoke up, chastising Viv for her comments against his ship. It made her laugh, knowing she got what was coming to her. It was even more amusing to see the Echani back down a bit when he spoke. It was a rare occurrence to see Viv serious. It was even rarer to see her back down and shrink up, even if just a bit.
Just as it was brought up, Alexia sensed the arrival of another. It was curious as to who it was given that the aura the person gave off was strong, yet unaligned to either the light or the dark. She let it quickly slip to the back of her mind, though. Unless this person worked to cause problems for them, there was no reason to concern themselves with the matter. They had a task to accomplish and they needed to be focused on it.
It was then that Vakim spoke of the alteration of their mission. As he said, they had quickly become aware that a disease was present. But that only answered one small piece of a larger puzzle. Still, it seemed that was enough to grant Vakim the lay of the land he wanted to push forward with new orders and assignments. While Kalli and Achiira would continue working together in speaking with the head doctor, she was teamed up with Viv in gathering intel. Still, she could help but roll her eyes and fought back a facepalm when Viv spoke up about being cautious and subtle. It was always fifty-fifty at best with her. Hopefully this would be the time she kept to it considering she was being allowed to leave the ship.
Giving a nod, she didn't even have the opportunity to verbally acknowledge the orders as Viv began pulling on her. It made her stumble a bit before stabilizing herself and pulling back against the Echani. "I know you're eager to get going, but we haven't been dismissed yet. He asked if there were any questions. He could very well have something else to say, something we need to know before we start."

Achiira seemed to have missed most of the interaction that happened between Viv and Vakim whilst being deep within the force and her surroundings, but a deep sigh from Kalli was enough to tell that it was probably something Viv had done. It was then that Vakim had spoken aloud about sensing the other arrival, but also found it difficult to determine where they stand, yet he assured us not worry about them and continued to speak with another short briefing of the next steps for moving forward.
Vakim's instructions were clear enough. Achiira caught sight of Kalli's smile and returned the gesture with a warm and gentle curve of her lips before giving a nod to make Kalli aware she understood her words. She felt glad to be working alongside the Jedi Master again, something about her brought a calmness and sense of ease to the atmosphere, a welcome feeling for Achiira given the dangers of this mission. She glanced over to Viv and saw the smile on her face as she finally given an order that allowed her to leave the ship alongside Alexia. She tried to picture Viv in her mind wandering the streets with a seriousness about her and not be her energetic self. She couldn't imagine it all that well and giggled lightly to herself as Viv assured she was cautious and subtle .
No one had time to assure Vakim of their understanding as Viv had already made it clear she was eager to get off the ship, pulling Alexia with her to the boarding ramp. Achiira gave a nod toward Chistori Master, and moved across to stand with Kalli.

Vakim gave a low growl as Viv began making her way out of the ship with Alexia in tow. While all that was left to dismiss them, he had yet to do so as he awaited any questions. It was times like these that he wondered how Kalli had handled her for so long as an apprentice. He, unlike some, took little issue with her bright and energetic nature. But her lack of patience and ability to fully address a mission seriously was another matter. It was always one thing to have to improvise and make split-second decisions, some that ended up being reckless. He had made more than his fair share. But there were times that made trusting her hard as she was prone to make her own choices if she didn't agree with the orders given, especially in moments when caution was of the greatest concern. As Alexia pointed out to her as she brought the Echani to a stop, there very well could have been more that was left, something that needed to be said, a final piece of warning to be aware of.
His emerald eyes shifted over to Kalli for a moment before giving a sigh. "That is all. Be sure to report anything you find as it comes up. Unless pressed into a situation, don't play hero. Dismissed." From there he waited for everyone to head out before he would do so himself.

Vivikayl uttered a frustrated growl to rumble beneath her disappointed pout. She knew that Alexia was a more by-the-book Jedi Knight, whereas she was a more free-spirited one who preferred to trust in her gut instinct. It was usually the Force working in those gut feelings, or so that was one of the lessons Master Starflight had embedded in her. Of course, her old Master had meant it in a more conservative way than Vivikayl used, but she was a Knight now. It was a feat that left her to build on her teachings and grow to stand on her own. Right?Well, apparently not. The growl of the much larger Chistori was enough to ripple through the air and make the hairs on her neck stand up. With a sigh and a roll of her eyes, Vivikayl released her hook around her best friend's arm and awkwardly shuffled her feet. She supposed they would have to wait for 'official dismissal' after all, but the Echani couldn't help but mutter under her breath so that only Alexia could hear her."You know that's usually the very last thing they do. Ask if we have any questions, and then dismiss us. We're just wasting time, Lexi…" As much as it concerned Kalli about the dynamic that Vivikayl brought with her, such matters were no longer within her realm. Vivikayl was a Knight now. Although she had faith that the Echani would pull them through as she had on every other mission Kalli had been on with her, she could sense the questions within Vakim's mind and his uncertainty regarding the years that she had spent training this rather exciting although reckless individual. Although the Jedi Master still stood tall, she offered Vakim an empathetic smile if he glanced over to catch it. It was a brief exchange before she turned to the two girls, like oil and water in some ways, but still managing to find a tight-knit friendship over those years studying together."Patience," Kalli uttered. Her eyes glanced between the two of them as she issued that single word of advice to both. For this mission, they would equally need it. Vivikayl would need to slow down and act out of intellect instead of instinct, while Alexia may find she would need to act out of instinct rather than intellect. At the very least, Kalli was confident in the two of them to find success in their mission. They shared a deep-rooted trust in the other that couldn't be severed and could build off that. Kalli then looked back to Vakim and smiled again, as though that word had a third meaning, unknown to all but the two of them.Once Vakim had issued his official dismissal, Kalli nodded her head before turning her attention back to Achiira. Once sure that the Padawan was as mentally prepared as one could be for such a mission, she departed from the ship with Achiira in tow and entered the building that the Duros had indicated. She paid no mind to the Bothans or others on the landing pads; her mental focus and attention were tuned in to locating the Doctor and remaining fixed upon this supposed leader of the medical presence and efforts here. Such would be her mission. The rest would be a task for others on the team. With Vakim's dismissal, Vivikayl couldn't help but utter, "Told you so," under her breath before booking it towards the boarding ramp. This time, though, she didn't bother to try to drag Alexia out with her. Sure, Master Starflight wanted her to show patience, but they wasted so much time with these 'official meetings.' One minute could completely alter the course of the mission by running into the one person they needed to help crack the mystery of this now-confirmed disease and how they can help. That's why they were here, after all--to help. It was almost as though they all forgot that with the stick up all of their bums.Fidgeting with the rebreather, the Echani scrunched her nose unhappily for needing to use it, but that was the way of things. She might not have liked it, but she could at least accept its necessity. Waiting for the rest of them at the boarding ramp, Vivikayl was fully prepared to high-tail it to the outpost alone. For all of their sakes', though, she would exercise 'patience' like her old Master wanted--for now. If they didn't hurry up, though, she wouldn't have any patience left to spend...

Alexia shook her head when Viv finally stopped, the muttering under her breath following the faint growl given off from Vakim. To say Viv was an acquired taste was an understatement in many situations. The woman still couldn't help but wish the Echani would give those older and more experienced the respect they deserved when speaking and not rushing out when she "felt" it was done. When the muttering came, Alexia glanced over to Viv, a response ready to be shot her way. "Yes, but it helps to wait and ensure there are no questions before leaving instead of heading out because you didn't have any. Achiira or I could have had a very important one."
Her voice was quiet as Kalli then spoke towards them. She knew the master well enough to know when a single word was directed to more than one person. It was a bit frustrating to be told something like that when she was trying to slow her friend down just a little to ensure that all was truly finished. Still, she said nothing as they were dismissed, a quick quip coming from Viv before the Echani was gone from sight.
Giving a sigh, Alexia made her way towards the boarding ramp, moving passed Viv and motioning for her friend to follow as she headed for the outpost. It was true that every minute spent here was another that could have been wasted, but the same was true in the other regard. By rushing out, run by instinct, it was still very possible into a situation that could have been avoided had one been patient. In the end, it was how they balanced each other out.
As they passed through the building, they began moving about, keeping their distance from others where necessary while close enough to pick up on conversations or anything else that would give them deeper answers. Senses alert, they would find what they needed.

Blue Shadow: Resurgence As the Jedi entered the building that the Doctor had motioned them towards they would find several empty stalls that would have usually held wares to trade to travelers passing through but now everything was empty, the entire area had been cleared out - sanitized as much as possible and several large white tents had been set up just like on the landing pads outside. These were not yet occupied however. The building was empty and the Jedi were left to examine the large open room for several minutes with the blue skinned Duros no where in sight. As time passed however a hiss of a vacuum sealed door opened and two figures in white lab coats and white face masks entered the large building. One tall human female, and the other a slightly smaller human male. The Female gave off an air of command and authority and even before she spoke to the travelers the male had taken up a subordination stance behind her, his mask covered face buried in his datapad."What are you doing here?"The Female Doctor asked with little patience."I've already issued a quarantine of Mesa 291, you guys are endangering the integrity of the site just by landing your ship here!"The female doctor passed her datapad finally to the human behind her, not even looking to make sure he would take it, and released it the moment she expected him to - luckily he seemed to know his job and took the datapad mere moments before it would have dropped to the ground. With the Pad out of the way there was a clear First Order Medical Corp Insignia stitched into the fabric of her coat right over her heart - but there was no indication of military rank on her collar or shoulders. Regardless she seemed to have little problem addressing anyone around her as though they were beneath her.~Meanwhile on the landing pad~A crew just like the last one busied themselves around the landed Spectral Prowler awaiting the proper permissions and requests before they began any work on refueling or otherwise refitting the ship. This time there was no one to approach the landed craft and no one waiting by the landing pad when Kia walked down the boarding ramp. Before Kia could move from the ship one of the ground crew broke away and approached her - as casually as could be possible with the wind blowing sounds clothing and dirt around the Mesa. The Crewman was bothan - like all the others - and had russet colored fur and a narrow muzzle with sharp flickering ears. He was a young bothan clearly by the length of his hair around the face and the brightness in his eyes as they shifted one way then the other as if always on edge, or always tracking some unseen prey. Which was the truth was difficult to tell as he showed no outward signs of aggression or nervousness. Moved up to Kia raising a datapad as if to ask if the ship needed anything further, moving close enough to be heard over the howling of the wind. "Its dangerous here, but this i think you know. Have you come for Blue Shadow?"

Blue Shadow: Resurgence ~Meanwhile on the landing pad~A crew just like the last one busied themselves around the landed Spectral Prowler awaiting the proper permissions and requests before they began any work on refueling or otherwise refitting the ship. "It's dangerous here, but this I think you know. Have you come for Blue Shadow?" As Kia descended the ramp, the wind caught her dark brown hair and caused it to whip around her face a bit. Taking hold of the long strands, she fixed it into a tight ponytail as she watched the Bothans crew in charge of their pad begin approaching her ship and looking it over. It made her wonder if they were simply going about their business in getting ready for whatever tasks she might have had for them regarding it or if they were simply observing a craft unlike any they had seen or heard of before. It certainly caught her attention the moment she first laid eyes on it.
Reaching the base of the boarding ramp, she was met by a single young Bothan, a datapad raising up as if conducting his normal work regarding her landing. However, the words that came from him told a different tale. Having spent many decades on her own, doing her own thing, and aiding others where she could, she had grown to be both intuitive and observant. It allowed her to keep living and to keep ahead of those around her. And with this Bothan's words, it was clear as to what was going on. Over the wind, the only one that could remotely hear him was her.
Giving a nod to further add to the scene, her hands rested on her hips. "So, the information our agents gathered was correct. That solves one mystery. But to answer your question, yes, we are here for it. We received word that there were problems here. While it was singled down to a serious disease, it being the Blue Shadow Virus was only suggestive. Our medic will be glad to know her time studying up on it wasn't wasted." She then turned her head to looked towards the back of the ship where some of the other Bothans were, a hand coming up as if to motion towards part of the ship before continuing and looking back to the one before her. "My team and I have been sent here to do whatever we can to get rid of the virus at its source if possible. The two ships that arrived with me are carrying supplies to aid the people here."

The two Jedi left the ship once more and headed to the building that the Duros had motioned them to earlier. Achiira glanced over towards the Bothans as she walked by them, remembering the fear and anger that she had felt emanating from them. Her eye brows furrowed slightly, a sadness expressing itself. As they approached the doorway of the building, Achiira wondered about the Doctor they were to meet, and what information they might share about the situation here.
As they stepped inside the building, Achiira noticed more large white tents like the ones on the landing pad, with several empty stalls that would normally be manned and vending to those who had landed. There was no one else inside, not even the Duros they had met before. It was immensely quiet, the kind of quiet that was eerie and would set a person on edge. A quiet that Viv would love to disturb. Achiira took a few steps away from Kalli, running her hand along the frame of a stall as he passed, inspecting it. Not a speck of dust. Even though the place was empty and had no activity, it was highly maintained in its cleanliness, another indication towards the severity here.
After a few minutes, a sealed door in the distance opened with a hiss that startled Achiira, with two humans stepping from behind it, one male and one female dressed in white lab coats and white face masks. Immediately Achiira received a sense of authority and impatience from the tall female, and began to walk back over to Kalli. With no form of introduction to the Jedi, the female spoke in a manner that actually lacked manners and respect toward the presence of the Jedi. The tone of the woman's voice cut through the large open room and caught Achiira off guard, unsettling her and causing a stir of panic within her that all she could do was look up to Kalli to help calm the situation.

Vakim waited for a few minutes after the others departed. He stood in the room with the rebreathers focusing his mind as he reached out to the area around him. He was not an empath like Kalli or Achiira, but all of those with the Force could sense the world around him and the feelings that the Force carried with it. Stepping off this ship into the unknown meant he needed to be ready. He needed to rest his mind on the thin line of logic and instinct. It was certainly one of the hardest tasks a Jedi could ever have, following these approaches. Most times, it was one way or another. Either logical that made them cold and disconnected from others or too instinctual that they jumped in headfirst without thinking. And if there was ever a time where one needed to be capable of such balance, it was now.
Taking a deep breath through his rebreather, Vakim followed after the others and headed into the outpost. They were operating in three teams now. Kalli and Achiira were directly speaking with the head doctor while Alexia and Vivikayl went one way to gather what information they could and Vakim went the other on the same task. It was the best option they had at the moment and hopefully, this mystery would unravel quickly for the sake of all.

The absolute sterilization and cleanliness of the room were expected, especially after the confirmation of disease. If anything, it gave merit to the team who had already taken over the mesa. Although Kalli and Achiira were left in silence for several moments, the Master Jedi continued to hold herself with an air of quiet confidence, hoping that the younger Padawan might catch on to that aura and exude it herself. What more, Kalli was already well-aware of their current standing among the team here, so as the Doctor eventually graced them with her presence, her reaction did little to shake the elder Jedi.
"Due to a puzzling transmission that reached us, we're somewhat aware of the mesa's current status, and why we're here," Kalli explained without missing a beat, countering the Doctor's impatient air with her own gentle yet firm authority. "One would find it quite a mystery that we were requested to land here, seeing as you're less than aware than that issuance from your... orbital control?"
Although the Jedi's knowing smile was hindered by the rebreather, a subtle sharpness in her eyes pierced through her otherwise refined aura. Although known to be a keeper of the peace, Kalli was also far from allowing someone like this Doctor to depreciate another and their efforts. Nonetheless, the Master Jedi made an internal note to the emblem on her jacket -- the First Order. Although it failed to plant seeds of doubt to retreat, Kalli would hold that information close to the chest for the remainder of their time.
Furthering her point that the woman's attitude had little effect on the Master Jedi, Kalli continued, "Pray tell, what disease has created such a panic on this planet?"
Although Kalli remained confident and unshakable in her resolve, she could sense that Achiira had been jolted by the Doctor's demeanor. Although Kalli's gaze remained fixed upon the other woman, her mind gently reached out to brush against the young Padawan's. ~ Do not fear her, ~ the feeling would whisper, subsiding the shock that had arisen within the young one. ~ Be confident, you are not alone, the Force will always be with you. ~ However, even louder came Kalli's voice echoing softly within the Padawan's mind like her own thoughts.
Do you sense anything out of the ordinary here, padawan?
Vivikayl kept herself bothersomely quiet as she and Alexia wandered on their own through the outpost to 'gather supplies.' Of course, they needed to resupply, so that was sort of the first place that Vivikayl was planning on going. Then again, if Alexia decided that she wanted to go another way, that was her decision. Vivikayl would wander as she deemed appropriate. The Force was guiding her to where she needed to be, right? That was what Master Starflight had pounded into her head after so many missions. Honestly, though, the rebreather became enough of a distraction that the Echani didn't really care where they roamed. The outpost seemed… dead. Typical, she supposed, while a pandemic was ongoing. She sighed. So much for gathering any sort of useful intel.

Blue Shadow: Resurgence Quarantine Zone A.@kallistarflight The Doctor's affronted rage seemed to be either contained or defeated by the calm tone of the Jedi Master, but either way her indignant rage seemed only to present itself in the narrowing of her eyes as her gaze shifted from master to apprentice and back again. A sharp exhale and she spoke with a groan, ignoring the question about how they were rerouted here instead of the capitol, regardless of her quarantine. "Disease? your ignorance reveals itself Jedi. There is no Disease on this planet."She looked between the two Jedi again and shook her head in defeat."You might as well come with me, and meet Patient Zero..."Landing Zone@kia The Bothan was doing his best to remain nonchalant like he was going about his business with the Captain of the landed ship discussing needed maintenance or refueling costs, but the longer the conversation went on the more erratic his behavior became."There is word that the Doctor... A first Order... Doctor, brought a young Bothan Boy back from the frontier, Word is no one has been able to talk to him, and they say..."the Bothan looked back and forth conspiratorially"they say that the boy is infected... He's been infected since the beginning, and hasn't died."Time Passed and those that had come to Mesa 291 had learned several key pieces of information. The Blue Shadow Virus had returned to the Galaxy once again. Everyone infected on the Frontier had died except for a single life form. A young Bothan child kept securely by the First Order Doctor - the leading doctor on site. Another Doctor - a Duros male also seems to know more than he is letting on and ever stands at odds with the First Order Medical chief who he believes is looking to secure this virus for the First Order to use against the Galaxy as a weapon. The Duros Doctor avoids direct confrontation and has been alienated from the Medical Staff for his earlier outspoken stance against the Medical chief and now only speaks to those that approach him on the subject.
The Medical Chief has allowed the Jedi to remain, and speak to the Bothan child in hopes of satisfying them that the Plague has run its course on Bothawui and that the danger has passed. However the Bothan Child is still testing positive for Blue Shadow in his system, but continues to remain in perfect health.
The Orginization operatives are allowed to remain but as of yet have not been allowed access to Patient Zero.
Tensions rise as the stalemate on Bothawui continues... It appears all is well. But as the season moves on and the ice begins to shift once again on the frontier, things are ready to change... for the worse.
