Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Victores - Bridge
Turning from the view of Concord Dawn outside of the Victores' forward viewport, Fionnuala gives Captain Dice a smart salute after he gives her an order, telling him without any hesitation or question just as she had promised him, Affirmative, Captain, and then moving to the comms suite to open a comm channel to Concord Dawn's orbital traffic controllers. Once the channel is open, Fionnuala elects to keep things simple and save the flowery osik for another time, saying in her heavily accented Basic, Control, this is Ver'alor Fionnuala Priest of House Bralor aboard the Victores requesting a flight path and clearance to make for Jai'galaar to meet with Aliit'alor Galaar Vhett, over.
Having never met Galaar personally, Fionnuala has no idea how much of a stickler for formality he is, and has always found that succinct communication is the safest bet until until she has a better feel for who she is dealing with; Vhett had fought alongside her clan-mates on Obroa-skai, by all accounts acquitting himself well despite arriving in the middle a battle against a ruthless and numerically superior enemy force. Ideally, Fionnuala thinks to herself, Harini and the other members of the LLRP that had been present on Obroa-Skai during the losing battle made a favorable enough impression hat Galaar will look favorably on her request for a meeting.
Standing beside the comm-suite as she waits for Galaar's reply, Fionnuala tells Captain Dice, who has seemed distant in a somewhat different way than some commanding officers carry themselves as a means of maintaining the remove from those that serve under them some feel is necessary - as though, it seems to Fionnuala, Dice is preoccupied by something that could simply be the fact he has found himself displaced in time - in the professionally courteous tone she uses when on active duty, It shouldn't be long before we receive our fight path, Captain. In case they ask, how many of us are going to head down to Jai'galaar, and which ship will we be taking?

It didn't take long for the Victores to get a transmission from the planet side. However, it was hardly to be a warm welcome, considering the situation on the surface. A holotransmission came up, revealing the veteran Galaar Fett, with a new scar upon his right cheek. The former mercenary, now chief and leader, looked tired though, more so than usual. Scratching the back of his bald head, the Aliit'alor speaks to those gathered.
You couldn't have come at a worst time, Fionnuala.
What had transpired on Obroa-skai had now extended, not only to Mandalore, but across all other planets of the Mandalorian Sector. The Defense Corps was truly stretched thin, in terms of resources, given the various reports he received nearly daily. Odd that their enemy allowed communication, but it must be some sort of means to instill terror and fear that their enemy seemed to be everywhere.
I'd recommend you come down with an armed escort. Jai'galaar is presently being raided.
For a moment, the transmission seemed to be interrupted as Galaar looked behind him, speaking with someone who was off-screen. There was a Mandalorian curse spoken as the Fett dons his helmet once more. Seemed there was a renewed attack on the Eastern defenses.
Don't expect much of a welcome, but land at your own risk. Galaar out!
The transmission was swiftly ended after that.

Fionnuala thinks that, despite Galaar's assertion that she could not have come at a worse time since Jai'galaar is currently being raided, the fact that she has arrived with a platoon of Mando'ade as well as Captain Dice's troops to help Clan Vhett deal with the raid means that her arrival is actually pretty damn conveniently timed, turns to Captain Dice after Galaar, apparently in so dire a situation that he cannot spare a moment to brief her fully on exactly what it is he is dealing with, cuts the transmission off to go and deal with whatever it is that is happening, asking in a calm tone despite the adrenaline that is rushing through her system in light of the fact they will be going into an unknown situation, What are your orders, sir?
Given the distinct probability that the raid on Jai'galaar involves the Plague Lord's forces, Fionnuala feels a slight tingle of fear accompanying the thrill of anticipation she always feels before heading into battle; though she hasn't yet been involved in any of the conflicts with the Plague Lord's forces, Fionnuala has read the after action reports from Obroa-skai and Manda'yaim enough times to know that they are in for a challenge even if whatever enemies they will face are as susceptible to beskar forged weapons as those on Manda'yaim were, and unconsciously rests her hand on the beskar kal sheathed at her back as she waits for Captain Dice's orders.

The captain grimaced greatly. "We were going to come down in a pair of LAATs, but this calls for a little heavier escort. We can't afford to be bogged down in every world's defense, if victory is reliant on us taking the fight to the enemy, but we have to do something. We can't just leave Concord Dawn to rot." He turned his attention to one of the ensigns on the bridge, who was already looking at him. "Send a message down to second company, get them ready for deployment. I want them to be escorted by Aiwha Squadron down to the surface."
Dice turned back to Fionnuala. "We'll be accompanying them, with first company escorts. We should coordinate a fast assault on the enemy position with this 'Galaar Vhett', help Concord Dawn get a little breathing room so they can help us with our assault later. Acklay already prepped a few training courses on ways we could theoretically fight the techno-beasts effectively, with first, second and the shock troop companies drilling the hardest. They'll be ready to try and put it into practice. Locate where Vhett is on the surface - we're going to make a hell of an entrance. Add a little hope to that Mandalorian spite."

Fionnuala nods when Dice explains his plan, moving to the sensor officer's console when tasked with determining Vhett's location in Jai'galaar. Tracing the precise point of origin of Galaar's transmission is simple enough, and once she has it Fionnuala moves to the bridge's holographic tactical display to bring up a map of the heavily fortified military base nestled between a pair of towering mountains.
Pointing to the base's landing fields, located south of the base's main entrance, Fionnuala says, We can have some of out troops drop from the Larties once we're over the eastern side of the base where the assault seems to be focused based on what our long range sensors are picking up, and then set down here and move out to the base's ops center, where Vhett's signal came from. That is where he is most likely to be found, Fionnuala says, adding, assuming he hasn't gone to lead the counter offensive from the front, since just like in any ongoing action, things are bound to change quickly.

While the siege of Jai'galaar took place on the surface of the Mandalorian moon, a Cargo Empress-class super freighter exited lightspeed, just off the main hyperlane leading to and from the system. The transport was bleeding atmosphere from cracks in the hull and trailing grey smoke into the cold vacuum of space from a number of electrical fires spread across its long body. A priority S.O.S. was transmitted from the ship on all emergency frequencies, the channel hissing with static and cutting out at intervals. This is Captain... Static ...the merchant transport Blue-Milk Runner. We... Static ...attacked by pirates... Garbled chatter ...transmitting manifest. An explosion ruptured the forward port maneuvering thruster, blowing it outwards. ...mostly farming equipment stored in carbonite... Static ...had to jettison our escape pods. More garbled chatter. ...ruptured out power core. Please, we need help evacuating before... Then the message cut out as the communication dish on the ventral hull snapped off and floated away. The 'Blue-Milk Runner' drifted dangerously near the exit of the major hyper-route leading further core-wards, threatening the safety of traffic arriving and leaving the system along well traveled lane.

Then the message cut out as the communication dish on the ventral hull snapped off and floated away. The 'Blue-Milk Runner' drifted dangerously near the exit of the major hyper-route leading further core-wards, threatening the safety of traffic arriving and leaving the system along well traveled lane. "Order passed, captain." "Thank you, navigator." Mako grinned, as he prepared to relay good news to Dice. "One more thing, captain. Acklay's back - with a small Jedi flotilla in tow. Apparently, the mission was a success." "One step closer to rebuilding our home, then. Let's hope the Jedi are as we remember them." The line cut, and Mako looked with baited breath at the holographic representation of the battlefield below. Other screens filled with information and read-outs only informed him of the worsening situation groundside. An aurebesh timer ticked down steadily above the battlefield, as the ship rotated to help its heavy turbolasers line up with the ground targets below. One minute and fifteen seconds, one minute and fourteen seconds..."Navigator Mako! There's another new signature on scanners!" CIC Watch Officer Quickfix announced. "Independent trade ship!" "Transmission detected," Cushnip followed up. "Patch it through, Mako ordered." After the hole-ridden signal concluded, Quickfix asked, "Your orders, Mako?" The navigator considered this for a moment, before jumping into action. "Cushnip, give me live-comms. I'm going to send them an order." After a second of station work, Cushnip gave Mako a thumbs-up. He was live. "This is Acting Captain Mako of the starship Victores, currently operating in defense of Concord Dawn. You must stop your vessel now, or you will be fired upon. Prepare to be boarded, we'll check your power core." Mako motioned to Cushnip to cut the line. Quickfix walked towards Mako. "Shall I begin preparing a boarding and engineering team, Mako?" "No, not yet," the navigator replied. "Why, in all the stars, would an independent trade ship, carrying farming supplies and food, come to Concord Dawn now?" "I don't know," Quickfix admitted. "Even warriors have to eat." "Then tell me this - what violent, militant force is operating in this region, with a vested interest to starve out the Mandalorians? Even if that ship isn't crawling with techno-beasts, it's going to block traffic. That's the sign of a siege. The fact that ship is here, damaged and flying into traffic, either means they're sieging hyperlanes or they're coming here, in force." Quickfix shuttered. "Durk," he cursed. "Raising our flotilla to combat alert alpha. Are we sending anyone to check out that ship?" "Dispatch a LAAT, two troopers, one Bralor warrior, and one ship engineer. Equip the troopers with a flamethrower and a net-launcher. We're gonna have to find an arms manufacturer to produce more of those for us soon...have the LAAT be escorted by twelve V-Wings, and dispatch one of our Krayt gunships, just in case the shipping vessel needs to be quickly destroyed. Let's hold our Jedi support for ground deployment, and have them deploy after the orbital bombardment's finished." "Understood, navigator," Quickfix said.

Af...ain...oud...cle...try to...Hiss! While it appeared as though the pilot of the Blue Milk Runner was attempting to reply, their transmission was too garbled and distorted to decipher, ending in a long hiss of static. This may have had to do with its damaged communications dish finally breaking free of the hull before floating away to join the collection of debris flaking off of the super freighter. Designed specifically for hauling cargo, the 110 meter long transport had several points of access. Any of the cargo bays along its sides could be sliced into with a plasma torch, in fact many already appeared depressurized from holes in the freighter's weak hull. In addition to the bays, the vacant escape pod docking ports could doubled as airlocks, and there was a designated maintenance airlock attached to the forewords crew compartment. Life form scans of the hold would prove inconclusive, too much interference between the damage and the ruptured power core that was bleeding radiation, though there did seem a more clear indicator of life coming from the crew sections at the front of the transport.
