The living accommodations of the students were run by the students themselves, with housekeepers and groundskeepers on the patrol constantly. in fact, there would not be a time without at least a dozen staff working around the premises. The dormitories were divided into two wings – left for Iridonians, and right for offworlders. Both were strictly prohibited from entering each others' dorms.
Students chose their pairs or trios to live with together, and have the opportunity to change every month. Rooms came standard with two beds, a bathroom for necessary natural essentials, and a set of storage facilities. Various entertainment services were to be purchased by reward system.
Rooms had a standardised setup of two/three beds, a refresher, and a small common area with the proper storage lockers and footlockers.

Romulus walked into the dormitories and looked around. There were about 10 or so students students hanging around the common area, sweating and in training robes. Must've just finished lightsaber training Romulus thought. He walked on through them, deciding to retire in his dorm until Angel showed up. He pushed past the group of students blocking the door way, with a short Excuse me to them. But one of the bigger, older students grabbed his shoulder.
Hey, you.
Romulus stopped walking, and turned his head to survey the person. He was a zabrak, standing 6 feet tall, and was well-toned with muscles and a mean look on his face.
Yes?
Who do you think you are, knocking through us like that? Where's your respect?
Romulus turned around slowly, amused. It was not surprising that the students mistake him as one of them. Romulus was not yet 30, and his facial features spoke nothing of his experiences. He kept his eyes on the huge zabrak as he spoke.
A big guy with a bark louder than his bite? I wouldn't expect someone like you to be deserving of much respect.
The zabrak smiled meanly. He began to speak, but Romulus cut him off shortly.
You don't know who i am, do you? I am Evergog, son of-
Your family lineage is immaterial. Bloodlines mean nothing to the Force. Either you put your saber where your mouth is...
Romulus stepped forward until he was directly in front of the zabrak.
...or you keep your big arrogant mouth shut.
The zabrak's smile quickly turned into a scowl. Romulus turned and began to walk away, but he hadn't gone 5 metres before he heard the distinct hum of a lightsaber being ignited.
Everything happened in a flash. Not missing a beat, Romulus sensed what was going to happen before it did. He spun around, pivoting on his right foot, while his right hand reached for a saber around his waist. He ignited the black blade of his lightsaber just in time to make contact with the huge zabrak's red blade. The zabrak growled, and kicked Romulus in the stomach. He flew back several feet, though he was unharmed thanks to the Force. The students around began cheering and jeering as Romulus stood up, but without bothering to assume a stance, he faced the charging zabrak.
One, two, three. The zabrak's red blade came down upon him. But Romulus, being the seasoned Blademaster of the academy, easily parried every strike the zabrak swung at him. It was no challenge. Like a kowakian monkey lizard fighting a krayt dragon. It wasn't even fun. It wasn't long before Romulus saw an opening in the clumsy Zabrak's movements. He stuck out his leg, and tripped the huge body. The zabrak stumbled forward but quickly recovered. He turned quickly, only to be met with a rapid succession of precise lightsaber strokes. The black blade flashed in front of the big bully, barely able to follow it's movements. Time to end this, Romulus decided, and with one swift move of his wrist he made a 3 cuts on the zabrak's saber hand. Howling in pain, the huge bully dropped his lightsaber. Distracted, he was unable to block the spinning kick from Romulus which hit him clean in the fut, knocking the wind out of him.
But there was no time to even breathe. The zabrak soon found himself effortlessly lifted into the air with the Force. Romulus held his saberless hand in front of him, smiling as he levitated the tired and defeated body of his enemy. With a small grin, Romulus sent out a volley of blue lightning, striking at every part of the bully. The zabrak screamed in pain, and when the electrical torrent finally ended, he fell to the floor, unconscious. Romulus had taken care to not kill him.
Romulus deactivated his saber and re-hooked it on his waist. He turned to address the rest of the students.
Good afternoon, students. I am Lord Romulus, Blademaster of the Iridonian Sith Academy, and Sith Lord of Iridonia's Empire. My authority in both are only outranked by Lord Angel. As of such, i expect full respect, and no disobedience from any one of you. Otherwise, well, punishment would be in order.
He motioned carelessly to the unconscious body lying on the floor.
Alright, back to class, the lot of you. And someone carry this great fool away. He's a sad sight.
As Romulus spoke his last line, two of the academy training staff appeared and quickly got the zabrka onto a stretcher. Without watching to see them finish the job, Romulus turned and continued for his room, fully aware of the other students whom had begun talking among themselves quietly about what they had just witnessed.
Romulus entered his room, and took off his robe as the door closed shut behind him. His black phrik-laced tattoos shone gloriously against the Sun through his dorm window. Being he Blademaster, Romulus has one whole room to himself. He lay down on his bed and shut is eyes, waiting for Angel to return.

Angel's towering figure walked through the Dorm. Students parted like the Red Sea for him, to make way without breaking his stride. Most of the first few batches out of fear; the others who had enrolled in while he was offworld were not aware who he was. The etiquette-valuing person he was, Angel quietly asked them to move aside.
Excuse me.
No movement. The students were still engaging in conversation, as if they didn't hear him the first time.
MOVE.
This time, Angel's stern voice got through to some of them; they courteously parted to the sides. Some though, acted indifferent, as if they were trying to test his patience. Angel had no tolerance for such behaviour.
Angel raised his arm and made a fist of his palm, launching a bolt of pure kinetic energy out. The non-electrified version of Kinetite, this version packed a more concussive punch, and was evident in action as the six students who hadn't moved were immediately thrown across the corridor for several dozen metres into a rather unceremonious heap on the far, far side of the wall. Turning a left at the next cross-intersection, Angel made for the staff hallways, where Romulus had set himself in and entered the room.
Angel opened the door to see the unglam posture of Romulus sprawled on his bed. He shot a quick Force spark in his old apprentice's direction.
Wakey-wakey. I see you've made yourself at home already.

Romulus looked up from his bed and grunted.
Dammit, Angel, knock next time. Remind me to buy a lock...
Rom twisted his body and rolled off the bed, but his legs came up so that he would hit the ground legs first. He stood up straight and stretched.

A little hugglepup told me you were the Blademaster of this Academy. That information hasn't been made official and should not be known yet. Shall we go make it officially known?
Angel gestured down in the direction of the Arena. The time had come for him to pass one of his mantles down to lighten the burdensome remembrance of too many titles that Angel didn't have time to make significant meaning of for everything. Expecting Romulus knew what that meant and would follow, Angel turned and started back down towards the Arena.
Judging by that above paragraph, no, they haven't.

Official? oh c'mon, as if there's anyone that can challenge my seat. Very well, let's go.
He grabbed his affects, and let the room after Angel, his dorm door closing shut behind him.

The brute and the stick, Coruscus and Requiem, strolled along the corridors of the dormitory, chatting about their training days and reminiscing over their glory days.
So how did Angel train you?
We appealed to his personal inclinations, Mentis and I. We trained in an entirely different arena, both literally and metaphorically, from you three.
I championed the tournaments in the years I studied here. Even as a freshman, I soundly knocked out the most skilled senior varsity team singlehandedly and simultaneously during the sparring rounds. Imagine what I'm like after I became a senior.
Interesting. A book I once read talked about an unstoppable juggernaut, whose only weakness was the mind. Telepathy was the perfect puppet string.
Hey, I have brains to match the brawns too, ya know. Based on what I've observed in your penchants, you wouldn't be striking a conversation with "lesser beings who wouldn't decipher your 'convoluted intellect'".
Indeed, a valid point. But do note how many times I must cover your Achilles during training sessions. Informational knowledge to the head means nothing without transformational revelation to the heart. The twenty-inch journey is always the hardest. I can impart all I know and all I am to my classes, but if they don't apply it, what's the point? I have a great irreverence (now, i'm not talking disrespect) to the rigidity of following things religiously to the letter. Systems nauseate me. You want to captivate your students? Win their hearts first, and you win their heads.
Evidently, you read too much.
I wrote that. And you need to read more. Even the best of the best with the lightsaber needs to know the elegance of the artform. A choreography is made of many moves, each crucial to the –
Okay okay, I've heard enough philosophies. Tell me more about the magicks that you picked up.
Requiem and Coruscus walked out of the last corridor in towards the medbay and labs, where Requiem could better demonstrate rather than articulate.

Vasari sat in quiet meditation in the center of her dormitory room. About her were the gentle reminders of the solitude and loneliness that training here at the academy seemed to require. A simple bedroll upon the stone floor, a few books spirited away from the library through another series of secret passages Vasari had discovered in the past weeks. She still was not allowed access to the library and the archives beneath, and now word had reached her that the blademaster herself had departed the Academy, summoned by the new Sith'ari to answer for her crimes during the reign of the last headmaster, and perhaps to pay for her accounting during the siege itself. Vasari was not afraid her name would be raised - she had killed several by sorcery or by blade during the siege, all for the sake of her own preservation - but what she and the blademaster had done after making their way to the headmasters quarters...
Knock Knock Knock
Vasari's eyes opened and she lowered herself to the floor in the center of the room. She raised her eyes up to the doorway remaining silent and doing her best to mask her force signature by the methods she had been learning from the books she had stolen. Closing her eyes she lowered her heartbeat, and held her breath removing all trace of her physical presence from the room and focusing every ounce of her concentration on shielding herself from the one outside the door.
"Vassi open the door... I can sense you are there, stop avoiding me."
"You are a weak insignificant speck hardly worth the Masters time, and you are certainly not worth mine."
Vasari shot back almost instantly the sound of the weevils voice drove her near to wrath and she could feel her concentration breaking - and she was already irritated that her methods of cloaking her touch to the force had failed.
"Not insignificant enough to fail to notice you trying to hide your force signature from me... I could teach you that you kn- aaau ug hhh"
The males voice cut short as the sounds of gargled choking issued from the other side of the door, after a moment there was a very loud THUD - the sound of the males body slamming against the door once, and then slumping to the ground.Vasari lowered her hand and once more closed her eyes to meditate. He would be out for another few moments at least and perhaps when he came to he would choose to leave rather than take another beating from her - which were continuing to happen more and more often over the course of the last few weeks.

She led her new sparing partner silently through the halls of the dormitory. They drew a few looks, but only from the people that dormed close to Vasari that were not used to seeing her in the company of another living soul, especially on that looked almost as ragged as she did - it was clear to any that looked upon the two that they had been in the head of it very recently. Vasari moved through the hallway without much thought to her path, her feet finding the way as she had walked it countless times in her many years here, and after a few more corridors she came to her door.
Pushing into her room she walked quickly across the small chamber to tuck a book under her pillow - one specifically and she made no sign of the fact she was hiding that one - as many others she had spirited away form the library were cast about the room in various positions open and closed. It was then she finally turned back towards Xakire looking him over.
"I am sure the Masters could find you some cloths if you wished to change..."Her tone was quite casual as she moved back across the room to her own trunk opening it to pull forth a bundle wrapped smartly in dark ribbon - pulled from a trunk of three others that were exactly the same. The uniform she had chosen upon coming here and they were the only scraps of clothing to be seen in the entire room indicating it was clearly all she wore."I am going to wash, you may join me if you wish... you mentioned things we needed to discuss?"
Here she paused resting the bundle of cloths between her hands cradled lightly against her stomach as she looked at Xakire with some bit of interest. What could he truly want from her. She was no fool - she knew the way of the universe, people had come here before seeking apprentices to travel the stars with them - aid them on their missions - their quests for power and position within the grand scheme of things. But Xakire was no Master, no Sith Lord, A military commander perhaps given away by the way he stood and walked at times, the appraising eye he cast about his surroundings almost constantly. What could he possibly desire from one such as her...

But Xakire was no Master, no Sith Lord, A military commander perhaps given away by the way he stood and walked at times, the appraising eye he cast about his surroundings almost constantly. What could he possibly desire from one such as her... Xakire followed Vasari though the halls, noticing a few of the other acolytes staring at them to which he responded with a death stare of his own which promted some to look away while others only continued to stare, obviously not realising who he was. Once they entered Vasari's room, he looked around and his surroundings. He noticed quite a number of books all around her room most of which he could tell had been read or were being read. He also gathered that due to the simple life Vasari seemed to live with little luxury as a student at an academy who likley just got by with little need for wealth, that she must have acquired those books without buying them, likley by swiping them from other students or the library. It didn't bother Xakire at all, in fact it showed him that she was clearly stuying hard, delving deep into the secrets of the Force. She seemed obsessed with knowledge for one reason or another. This commitment certainly helped explain the powers she had exhibited during their duel."I am not a child, Vasari. I can dress myself just as I can put up with somewhat tattered clothing. I think I'll be alright," he said somewhat defensively, though not in an aggressive or angry manner. Then she offerered him to join her as she washed...What does she mean by this? He wondered if this was an offer intimacy or simply that she wanted to not waste time. Xakire had spent his whole life training in warfare and then in the Force. He had never had a social life. Never had a friend or companion. Just his officers, crewmen and yes, his master. The request confused him, he was unsure what to do, unsure what he wanted. "I am merely your guest...I wouldn't want to intrude on your privacy...unless you...er...wish," he said scrambling for a response. His voice remained calm and posh like a good young Imperial even as he struggled to find appropriate, or at least passable words.

Vasari raised her hands slightly in a defensive 'I did not mean to insult you' gesture and left the matter at that as she moved to the back wall of her small dorm room and pressed the control switch that opened into her own personal refresher room complete with a shower and a small bath. Her first several years here she had to make use of the public bathing houses like most beginning year students, but being here as long as she had carried with it special privileges - not so much as the apprentices, who were given private rooms in the Masters tower, but Xakire was correct in his assessment - she only got by on basics and had little use for wealth here. The wealth she was after was that of knowledge and an understanding of the Force. In her mind her wealth lay in these books and what she had gained from them over the years of study she had spent here.
"Privacy isn't really something we are taught to value here..."
She giggled at his words - or more accurately the manner in which he seemed to stumble for the right ones. She shook her head slightly and turned towards the bathing room slipping quickly out of the wrap that covered her torso and letting it drop upon her bed as she half turned to finish her thought.
"Suit yourself Xakire... I very much prefer the comfort of a hot shower!"
The half turn of her body gave him a quick glance at her bare upper body, her breasts and a full view of the elaborate tattoo scheme that covered her flesh. But as casually as she had turned she quickly turned back and moved around the corner having already begun to slide her skirt down over her hips. A half moment later the skirt flew out of the bathing room to join its counterpart on the bed and the sound of running water came from the back room of her dorm - followed soon after by her voice rising over the sound of the water.
"If you're not going to join me have a seat - and by all means dont let me stop you from what you wished to discuss!"
It was clear by her carefree nature that she was not intending on seducing him in any way and that her behavior was simply second nature to her having lived in close quarters with so many other students for what would account to all of her adult life. There were those who took advantage of a young girl in such compromising circumstances but she had not survived here for so long without learning how to look after and defend herself.

Xakire looked away to the side, embarrassed as she giggled at him. It was his fault however, his words and actions were embarrassing and laughable so he couldn't blame her. The look on his face was that not of anger, but just of embarrassment.
When he looked up again he saw Vasari turn her body granting full view of her bare chest. Unsure yet again what to do, say or even think, Xakire simply stood there with the stoic expression of a millitary officer. He wasn't a prude, he just hadn't worked out Vasari's motivations. Was she trying to manipulate him? Her actions were slowly becoming more evident that perhaps this was just second nature to her. Regardless, he had only just met her.
Once she had turned the water on he took a seat and begun speaking.
"Ah yes...well, I was thinking that even if you're content on staying here as simply a mere lowly acolyte, perhaps we could continue to...er, benifit from each other," he said by now having more or less regained his composure. "You seem to be incredibly skilled in some applications of the Force that I...am less skilled in. On the other hand, I'm sure I have skills in other areas that you are less skilled in. I was thinking that perhaps we could...learn from each other. A mutually benifical arrangement."
He knew he would never be on the level of Vasari in terms of the mental applications of the Force, especially as her own power grew, but if she could at the very least help him learn to block others from probing his mind as she did, he would consider this all to be worth it.

Vasari considered his words as she showered - rinsing the sweat and dirt from the sparing ring from her tattooed body - all the while relaxing within the scalding hot water of the shower. With the door left open the steam from the shower slipped slowly out the door - quickly saturating the humid air even out in the sleeping chamber where Xakire waited. Maybe Xakire was right - there was only so much this place could offer her - but it 'was' the third largest Sith Academy in the Universe, and Korriban was... much to public for her. She exhaled softly leaning against the edge of the shower as the hot water washed the lavender soap from her skin. Spitting a mouthful of water from her lips she tilted her head slightly to speak over the sound the falling water.
"Perhaps you should spend some time here yourself then..."There was an easy going nature to her tone that made her words come off more teasing than accusatory. The water turned off and a few seconds later wrapped in a towel Vasari appeared in the doorway - most of her body still dripping with water as she looked at Xakire for a long moment. Her eyes penetrating as her mental offenses worked their way back into his mind as if looking for something specific this time, knowing now that he had little in the means of a barrier to stop her, but still the manner in which he reacted would let her know a thing or two about what type of person he was - as well as what exactly he planed on 'using' her for. In the meanwhile she whispered softly... "What exactly would I get out of this that I would want... that I do not already have here."

Xakire often found it difficult to sit still, especially when in a place he didn't know. He found himself standing up and pacing around the dormitry, examining the surroundings. He wasn't being nosy, he was just fidgety and restless...and yes, a bit curious.
"I'm not a scholar, besides, I'm not sure I posses the patience to stay here,"he replied in a similar tone to Vasari when she teased that he should stay here.
Vasari then emerged from her shower, wrapped in a towel this time. He could see she was staring at him as she got out. Was she probing him again? Yes, he could feel something...just like back at the landing pads. But he couldn't stop it, not with his own mind anyway.
"Perhaps I can mention to my master the existence of a...promising acolyte. I can get you to whatever planet you want, help you get whatever ancient text or secret you want. I can teach you what I know. I might not be as...mentally attuned to the Force but I know a few tricks that I'm sure you could use," he said, trying to convince her. Xakire was convinced she could help him, he just needed to convince her that he could also help her in return. But he knew he had to be careful. He didn't want to come to be replaced by her. He did like her, but he liked his position and status more. "Most of all, Vasari, I can help you make something for yourself."

Vasari moved through his mind with purpose now, there was something about him that did not suit right with him and it did not take long for her to find it - images of him in the dress white of a naval officers uniform. He was an officer within the First Order. She wrinkled her nose in disgust about the time he was talking about her being a 'promising acolyte' and she turned her head away slightly as she moved across the room to her bed casually throwing the towel wrapped around her body aside revealing her naked body in its full splender - tattooed, still wet and smoldering from the temperature of the shower, and every inch of her cleanly shaven.
"Im sure you can help me make something for myself..."she whispered in half sarcasm as she dressed - slipping on her jet black underwear and then a fresh skirt long enough in the front and the back to fall down to the ground, but split up each side revealing a full length of her leg all the way up to her hip."...your sort come and go as they please promising the universe to anyone they believe worthy of their 'new order'!"
She couldn't hide the open disgust in her tone and when she turned back to him - still naked from the waist up she raised a finger towards his face - her eyes burning orange with the raw power of the dark side.
"You're mind is a plaything for a person like me... you want a lesson... 'apprentice'."Her voice rose half to a shout as she employed the same spell as she had before to dominate his mind and force it to obey."Then SIT! and LISTEN!"
Each word was accented so heavily with the influence of the Qazoi Kyantuska. Her mind opened to his, and with her as deep within his mind as she was - each moment she dropped her defenses one by one she allowed him to see how they were constructed. She projected her thoughts to simplify the process the image of doors opening behind information she wished to keep secret. First door that she opened was held the fact that she was responsible for the boys death on the skypad - that she had taken control of the Sith Apprentices mind using the same method she was using now, and forced him to kill the boy for her. The second was her hatred for the First Order - that she had fought for the defense of the Academy and killed many of the soldiers that had assaulted the Library - her sanctuary - herself with a stolen blade that she had taken from the corpse of a First Order sympathizer within the Academy, one that had killed one of her few friends the moment the attack had began. The next door was only half opened - the image of Locklear - a Sith Woman - the Blademaster - and the Headmaster of the academy all in the Headmasters office, with Vasari in the corner - eyes wide as she watched everything that happened seemingly powerless and immobile. Before the course of memories from Vasari's mind could play themselves out for Xakire she focused her thoughts upon the mental construction of the door and closed it - sectioning off that piece of her mind from him. Their mental closeness would allow him to feel how she manipulated the living force in the subtle ways necessary to control her own thoughts and keep them safely within her own mind, away from prying eyes or minds with the skills of mental infiltration.
"You cannot simply close a door within your own mind... your mind has to form it first, give it shape, once you see it put everything you wish to hide behind it, and close it!"
As the exercise continued she retreated slowly from his mind allowing him the preparation and space to form his own mental barriers - if he was capable after only a single lesson - even if she had shown him the groundwork for how she had framed her own mental defenses - it was never that simple. She moved closer to him kneeling half naked before where he had been forced to sit and raised her hand to his face - her palm resting against his cheek and her fingers moving into his hair pressing against his scalp gently as her eyes closed and opened her thoughts to him allowing her calm and mind to guide his, and then she whispered...
"Focus... breath..."

Xakire knew Vasari had a distaste for the First Order, but he had no idea just how much. He first wanted to resist and defy her as she went on her rant and rave but instead, he controlled his anger and silently obeyed her, sitting down as directed and listening carefully.
His decision seemed to pay off as she did indeed end up begining to help him, as he had wanted. However, he did wonder if she had come around to his offer or if she had some other motive for doing so.
He closed his eyes and focused, entering her mind slowly. He saw a door...no, not a door, merely an illusion of a door. As it slowly opened, he saw Vasari killing that boy back on the landing platforms. It was hardly a surprise. Behind the next door, he watched a memory of Vasari cutting down Stormtrooper's in what must be the academy's library. He hadn't realised there was such resitance to the First Order when it aided Viox and Clan Savage in seizing control. Xakire had thought the First Order and Clan Savage would have been welcomed into the academy, but clearly they were not welcome by all. Behind the third door, there was the biggest revelation. Certainly, the most mysterious one. However, this 'door' was left only partially open. He saw a group of people...in an office of some sort...he recognised one...Colonel Locklear, one of Viox's commanders. Vasari was there, obviously, along with a number of other Sith who must have been instructors or something with the academy. Before he could see what was going on, the door slammed shut. For some reason, this particular memory had some significance to Vasari, but most curiously she seemed to only be teasing him. She showed him a brief taste of this event, yet also shut him out. Why? What happened?
Vasari then begun to close the 'doors' again, showing him the construction of her mental barriers as she raised them yet again. Of course, the 'doors' were illusions, manifestations of the Force projected into his mind to make it easier to understand. There were no words or images that could ever truely portray the Force. However, he was still begining to understand more clearly how these powers worked...his eyes remained closed and his brow slightly furrowed as he listened to Vasari explain the process. He focused intensely on forming a mental barrier, a door of his own. He slowly shaped it, moulded it, and then, once satisfied he tried hiding a memory behind it. He remembered his first lessons in the Force, when he as a young boy being trained by a mysterious Dark Sider. A cruel man who had subjected a young Xakire to torture and tremendous pain, even at such a young age.
He took a long, deep breath as Vasari spoke again and ran her fingers through his hair, calming himself, putting aside the pain of that memory. He begun forming another barrier, this time putting an even more painful memory behind it. The memory of when he first killed someone. He was only six. One of his father's officers had just done something, something Xakire had long since subconsciously repressed whatever it was that caused him to do it. In a display of power fuled by pure fear, hate and anger, the essence of the Dark Side, he had crushed the officer's trachea with the Force until he could no longer draw breath. But then he began to loose control, the door begun to buckle, the barrier was failing, he couldn't hold it. He tried desperately to build it back up but it was too late, he'd lost control, now all he could see was the door knocked off its hinges and the memory playing in his mind, again and again, he tried to escape his own thoughts and with some difficultly, he finally did. He let out a scream as his eyes shot open and he quickly stood up and turned away from Vasari, facing towards the dorm's door. He had failed. He thought he was succeeding but he couldn't do it. As he breathed deeply and calmed down, and his anger and fear subsided, all he really felt was shame.

The aspect of a door defense was weak, rudimentary, and probably the worst form of mental defense anyone could use if they actually wished to keep their minds in tact against a mental assault, and yet it was where most began. There were tricks that could be used - mental gambits that placed door after door after door in the path of your minds intruder, leading them deeper and deeper into a shell game of mental manipulation, but this tactic was never used as a defense, only a distraction. The aspect of learning through failure is what drove ones mind to calculate new and more cunning ways of hiding ones true thoughts and feelings, and before Xakire's mind was able to pull away completely from hers - retreating out of no sense of victory, but in perfect and absolute defeat - he would have been made aware of this fact.
Vasari's mind rifled through the images and thoughts he was using and attempting to hide from her intrusive and inquisitive mind. The point was to show him how futile his request had been, what he had asked for would require years of training and preperation and practice and exposure to someone else's mind, someone more powerful, someone he trusted. Here they learned at the hands of the Masters... cruel and manipulative as they were, they were here to teach, to instruct, and to cultivate the next generation of Sith Lords and Ladies. The problem with the Rule of Two training method is that it limited ones connections to various possibilities of learning. At this Academy she would have learned much more than him, from many different instructors, learning from their strengths as well as their weaknesses. That is how it was in the old days, that is how it was at the height of the Sith Empire before it had all been swept aside on the fields of Ruusan. She did not have one Master - she had many, she was a true student of the Force here. Whoever Xakire's master was, he clearly did not use the boy for his mental constitution... but still, within his mind she saw other talents, other skills that made him a more than competent apprentice - more so than any here that was certain.
She remained silent as Xakire stood up and walked towards the door - she could feel the shame of failure pouring off of him in nearly every way. Rising from her position on her knees before the bed she silently moved back towards her cloths and finished dressing - wrapping the same style of cloth around her breasts and binding a similar shoulder pad to her guard arm's shoulder then reached into her trunk for another cloak - of these she only had two. Draping the cloak around her shoulders she pulled its folds around her to cover most of her body in its inky blackness and she leaned against the desk finally looking back to Xakire.
"Your failure was not as complete as you might think..."She began gently, her voice now actually attempting to sound neutral again."You moved passed an adepts first mistake of attempting to shield their entire mind with a single door... you created multiple ones as you watched me do... And the construction spoke of potential in area of mental assault, if not defense... You were able to form mental constructs far more easily than you were capable of securing anything behind them. Its a start to say the least..."
Vasari leaned back a little more crossing her legs at the ankles and crossing her arms beneath her breasts loosely. She thought at once of several books to recommend, but he really did not seem like the type to read. She began to consider ways for him to use his strengths to better his own fighting style. There was no way he would be able to form a defense against someone skilled enough in the art, but if his offense was strong enough, and he attacked with his mind as well as his body, then there was a chance he could overwhelm his opponent on both fronts before a defense would ever become necessary. It was a weak strategy to say the least... but it was a start. Not that she would tell him that... at least not yet. She would see how he handled this failure - that would let her know if this apprentice was worth her time or not - all the while the back of her mind considered his offer. She saw things in his mind that fascinated her, places she had not even heard of, there was an entire universe out there, that much she had always known. But this... Blackguard... whatever it was, whatever his connection to it was, reminded her of the ancient days of the Sith, and that set her twin hearts beating all the faster.
"Sparing against you was quite informative... it let me on to many weaknesses i still have in my own form. For this alone i would give you lessons in training your mind... we will start there. But you have nothing you can promise me that would make me wish to leave this Academy... perhaps your 'Master' would be different."

For a long moment Xakire remained there in the doorway, unable to look at Vasari. He was embarrassed, more than that ashamed. Finally, he found the will to put his chin up again. Eventually, after listening to Vasari’s reassurances, which he wondered if they were honest is just to make him feel better, he turned on his heel to face her again, placing his hands behind his back and straightening up, assuming a military at ease position. He wasn’t sure where to go from here. Should he leave? He most likley couldn’t take her to his master yet, he was a busy man and even Xakire himself hadn’t met him yet since he got to Iridonia. “Th—-thank you,” he started trying to say, “Your...advice has been helpful to me. I am sorry that I am of little use to you, but I found this experience to be greatly benifical,” he slipped back into the formal way of speaking he had learnt to use as a naval officer, almost as a defensive measure to hide his emotions.

Vasari did not press him, simply rose from her kneeling position before the bed and continued dressing while the young sith composed himself. He had performed well enough for a novice in the art, he was hard on himself that much was certain - but what she could not figure was why his training had advanced so far and yet so little in the realm of protecting his own mind. All the martial skill in the world meant nothing if the enemy could break you with a simple word. Had she been better trained and more motivated that is exactly what she could have done in their sparing match earlier. A failing on her own account - one she would look to rectifying soon enough.
She finished draping the cloak around her body hiding her form completely from view just as she was when they had met and turned to face him. He seemed to have come back to himself and was turning around to face her, straightening his back and standing at ease before her. She raised an eyeridge slightly though there was no brow accent the gesture and she had to keep herself from giggling, though an easy smile came to her lips.
"There is no need for thanks, my lord."She smiled easier and moved to recover a book or two from the shelf and gripped them tightly to her chest as she moved past him towards the door."And you may prove more useful than I have the foresight to notice... there is something about you..."
She looked him up and down once more from the side and shivered slightly before continuing on her way, the door opening untouched allowing her to move from the room freely, leaving him with the choice of following after her or not as she made her way down the corridor towards the Library.
