A lone cloaked figure wandered into the training area, first roaming down the countless corridors that exposed students and masters alike to private rooms and simulations. From beneath the shroud of her hood, Mariah glanced left and right as she quickly caught the flickers of movement from several of the rooms. As to not draw attention to herself, she didn’t pause at any of these, only capturing a glimpse as to training that commenced in each. Modern training methods and tools were alien to her, and she had yet to judge if they helped or hindered the growth. Her conversations with Master Phoenix relit in her memories. There were enough things about him that she hadn’t quite accepted that the conversation actually happened. While the fog was slowly lifting over time, it was all too heavy then. She was mainly caught up over the idea that he hid his presence as effortlessly as she. She would have expected it from a nomad as herself; it was a precautionary measure, ensuring that she could come and go where she pleased with little to any interactions, as one of many reasons. However, from a master of the Sith Academy, while within the Academy? In her state, there was only one way she could dismiss the disparity of the two thoughts. He was but a hallucination of her mind, another ill side effect.
Catching sight of a student using a combat simulator, Mariah found herself pausing for but a beat to watch before continuing onward. While she was sure that these tools had their use and helped students excel quickly, Mariah couldn’t help but reflect on the success of her own, drawn out, rugged and rough training. No simulations. No specialized rooms. Just her, the terrain where she had settled for that moment. It was no different when she had a master, even if that time was cut down all too soon. It had still instilled a strict discipline, to which she gave credit to being able to wander the Academy now, instead of residing in Chaos.
At the end of the main corridor, a bright, blinding light caught the shrouded woman’s attention. Ceasing her aimless wandering that only repeated the same sights as the corridor before, she wandered with slow and steady steps towards it. Once she broke through the wall of light, the sight battle arena opened up before her. She could hear the clashing of sabers and violent yells -- whether it was simply training or something more, she could neither distinguish nor cared to -- and thus did her best to keep a distance as to not get caught in the crosshairs. The arena was large enough to keep a well enough distance, however, and so Mariah comfortably walked the far edge.
She glanced up into the stands that surrounded the arena, and with slender fingers, removed her hood at last. Her crimson hair spilling over her shoulders, Mariah circled the small area she could, her eyes locking for a moment on each of the students and masters that sat within the stands. Some eagerly watched the fight; others were simply looking for something to do with their time as their mischievous laughs amongst friends resonated in the air as clear as the saber hums. Very few paid her any mind, and the few that did was just a simple glance of acknowledgement before returning their focus to the battle.
With her curiosity satiated, she turned to make her leave from the arena down a separate corridor. As she was leaving, a few students were entering, eager to begin their sparring. Excited chatter about impressing their masters, taking down other students using the prior day's lessons. Despite the brief discussions about the masters training methods, which Mariah had opening opposed, at least there were students here who carried that enthusiasm. That, like the methods and tools the Academy employed, was a foreign feeling to the woman. At their age, their enthusiasm was her desperateness for survival.
Her crimson gaze must’ve lingered on the students for a moment too long, their eyes meeting her and stopping her as she was about to pass them.
"I don't think I've seen you around here before," the Zabrak said, placing a hand on her shoulder, physically stopping her. "And I'm sure I would recognize you if I had seen you."
In any other case, such a motion towards her would have been met with some ferocious countermeasure to knock him off his feet. A meld of both the lingering effects of her medicine, slowing her reaction time, and the easy reminder that they were but children, no older than fifteen, held her back. Instead, she stopped against his opposing force, her gaze piercing into his golden yellow that met hers with an equal intensity.
"I'm new," she opted for, reaching up to remove his hand from her shoulder. "I was just taking a look around the Academy. If you'll excuse me."
"Wait," the Arkanian next to him whispered. "That's the girl who was walking around with Master Phoenix earlier."
Her theory of hallucinations must've been incorrect, but it was a thought for another time. The Arkanian's recognition caused Mariah to inhale deeply, because with it, a fire lit within the Zabrak, his lips splitting into something of a vicious grin.
"Oh, was she?" he murmured, his voice rumbling with ill intent, like a predator with his eyes locked upon new prey. "One of his little pet students? Maybe we should try testing her."
Mariah betrayed nothing of note to either of them, her crimson gaze only flickering between the two as she readied herself for the attack she could feel radiating from the Zabrak's intentions. Typically, underestimating her was something she reveled in, but today, she had hoped for a rather uneventful wandering. While she couldn't feel the wound that still afflicted her, she reminded herself that it was there. Any sort of exertion could cause it to worsen. There was one simple way she could deflect the situation, and even then, it was a flip of the coin if this Zabrak would pursue her after the fact. She had no real other options.
Taking a step back she opened her arms in an almost welcoming manner. "Well then, have at it," she challenged.
The Arkanian stared her down cautiously as Mariah didn't even attempt to reach for one of her sabers. The Zabrak, though, as she had hoped, proved much too eager to strike down an easy target. The hum of his saber filled the air as he rushed her with an impressive speed for someone of his size. What he didn't realize -- that she was no student here -- would prove to be his downfall. With his hastened, powerful arc down over her left shoulder, Mariah gracefully sidestepped out of the way, and with a speed that surpassed his, her figure now a blur of crimson, she spun around and sent an encouraging Push towards his back, using his momentum to force him deeper into the arena. When his feet would hit the ground, he would either need to stumble to regain himself, or he would fall. It was a simple countermeasure, but she hoped it would discourage him from any further attempts. Either way, it bought her enough time to continue on her way. As calmly as she had walked before, she headed back towards the corridor, but with her slow and steady steps, she glanced over the Arkanian who watched, his hesitance towards her amplified.
"Have a good training session," she said, a hidden warning laced within her tones.
One final step, and she jerked her chin, signalling he should go tend to his friend. She didn't bother turning to see what events unfolded when he finally landed, if it was a smooth transition for him or not. As she had hoped, though, Mariah heard the beginnings of the two's quarrels over the short-lived battle, which gave her enough time to disappear into the darkness of the corridor. Hanging the first left down one of the connecting hallways, she was gone from their sights. With her presence wholly masked, luck would need to be on their side if they had any chance in finding her. To her relief, they must've given up. The Arkanian would have one hell of a training session with his partner today, though.
Perhaps one day, she would have a true fight with another in this battle arena. Today, however, she had seen all she could, and done enough for her short time here. Raising her cloak’s hood once more, Mariah headed back into the Academy and took the long route back outside, where she expected to make an uneventful trip back into her ship until the morning came, and her training in Sullust would commence. Per usual, uneventful didn't happen often, and even now, it would be no different when walking back to her ship.

The students returned once again to begin their training, now a full hour before they were to begin. If any indication of the previous lessons were to be believed, they would be spending two hours now training and going through the basic lessons. Day three of their tutelage under Gavin and emotions were starting to rise. The ones seeking knowledge, desiring to grow continued to find great interest in what they were learning, a few a bit more than others. It might have simply been the basics, but none of them had the knowledge or skills to argue. They were going from having no capabilities to having something and that was something to be thankful for. After all, a couple of them already knew that every bit of knowledge was valuable.
Even some of those that had initially shown know actually feelings one way or the other was starting to grow in focus if nothing else. These select few were taking the knowledge so they could grow, but it seemed to have other thoughts in mind, as if gaining strength was a key to something else outside of becoming something within the Blackguard. Either that or they had no true desire or motivation, only knew that becoming strong would eventually reveal to them purpose.
Then finally came the select couple, especially one, who's anger was growing more and more. It was becoming more and more difficult to contain their frustration, but held out some form of patience that after a few lessons of basics, they'd start elevating to better skills once those who had no abilities could keep up.
As instructed, they worked with their pairs, switching each fifteen minutes between lessons and each other so to further their understanding of these skills. As before, Gavin arrived before they did and hid himself away to watch them train. Bit by bit, they were growing. But things always took time. Before long, it'd fully click within them and their truly path to mastering these techniques would be at hand. He couldn't understand why the mind functioned in such a way. No mattered how quick someone was at learning or how well they could adapt, there was always that small period of time where the learning had to settle in before it found a place to truly connect within the mind, integrating it to a full understanding
Once the hour came to a close, he stepped out, ready to begin the next lesson. Summoning them all to him, he pointed to a pile of clothes he had already brought. "Put these on. Padded clothing. For the next couple lessons, you'll need them if you want to be serious about progressing." He didn't want them hurting each other with attacks just yet as many couldn't yet handle them. Still, he wanted them to fight to the best of their ability so there was little option. Once they gathered up their clothes and put them on, he continued. "Today, we are moving up the chain of combat. We'll now focus on counters and parries. There isn't much I need to say about this exercise. Use what you've learned the past two days and find the proper points to parry your opponent's attacks and to deliver a counter strike. Once piece of advice, though.spread out the pattern in which you do make these strikes. Just because you always put yourself in a good spot doesn’t mean you should take it, nor should you do it a lot. In real combat, do something too often and your opponent will be capable of reading you before long. Understand?"
Once he saw that they understood what he was talking about, he broke them back up into their pairs to follow the same pattern they had the past two days.

The students looked a little confused as to Gavin's instruction of putting on the padded clothes but did as they were told. This time around, there was little to Gavin's explanation on techniques for counters and parries, only telling them to use what they learned already. And so they split up, going through the fifteen minute intervals figuring out how to best conduct their counters. They soon began to see why the clothes were given to them as it dulled the hits and kept them from getting hurt, allowing them to keep going.

Gavin watched as the students went on learning to counter and parry an opponent's attack. Of course, without any real instruction on specific forms and techniques, they were all but forced to figure it out for themselves. There was two reasons as to why Gavin did it this way. The first was because they already had an understand on how to evade and block attacks, which gave them plenty of openings in which to make a strike. The second was because he wanted to see what they came up with. Each person here was different. From their body types, genders, and mindsets, how they would strike and when would help Gavin understand what kind of people they are and get an idea of the path they'd walk when in a fight once they started finding forms that fit them specifically rather then generally. They wouldn't know for some time, not yet able to watch themselves and gauge their own movements to figure out who they were in combat.
Unlike before, he had them switch every fifteen minutes rather than a solid thirty, giving the attacking team a chance to relax ad get out of being hit with counters. Once the hour was up, he called them back. "Alright, that is all for today. Take the padded clothes with you and wear them when you come here from now on. As you may be expecting, I now want you here and hour and a half early to spend thirty minutes each on the past three lessons. Dismissed."

Moving to where Gavin was, an audible groan of frustration came from all the students. For the most part, they were all tired going over the same thing, constantly reviewing the same moves and techniques. And with him adding more time, they'd be up to two and a half hours of total training when it came to tomorrow. They began to wonder if each day he was going to add another thirty minutes to the time they had to come in early until that's all they did. The majority of them were already getting tired as it was. Yet, they said nothing as they departed from the area, heading out to get some rest before grabbing food and whatever else they felt like doing before bed.

Gavin arrived well before the students, knowing that today he needed to do some set-up before hand. He brought in a collection of training dummies and lined them against the wall. With the attacking lesson they were about to learn, he needed to turn them from each other and practice their movements and technique before fighting each other, even with the padded clothing.
Once he had the collection lined up against the wall, he retreated to the edge of the room to watch his students when they came to proceed with their training.

The students arrived shortly after, dressed in their new clothing and went straight away to their training. for an hour and a half, they trained, going through the three previous lessons. Some noticed the new addition across the back wall, making them wonder what they'd be learning this time around

Gavin continued his observation of the students, noticing that while they were properly training, some of them were going at a slower, easier pace. No doubt to preserve energy so not to be so tired when they were done for the day. He'd have to address that. He still wouldn't tell them why he was having them go at it for so long or so hard, but he'd ensure they knew he was watching and in order to truly progress, they had to push in all aspects of their training.
He could also she aspects of irritation rising from a few. They were growing agitated with having to come here more and more and review the same things day in and day out. At first, it was only Duvrax who had any form of frustration that needed to be watched, but now he could feel it coming from others. But still, at the forefront of them all was the black and red Zabrak. It could be more than felt as Gavin could see the aggression in his counters and parries. He almost felt sorry for his partner, the brown Zabrak, Krokaa. Yet, while irritated, his friend seemed to be in better control of himself and able to handle the attacks.
But among those that felt irritated, some continued to push forward with focus and determination. Zul, Xar, Thera, Prakira, and Raara showed their eagerness with little to nothing anger towards what they were doing. They were growing and wanted to learn everything they could. Cayne and Elysta had developed a deeper focus though he could sense anger from them. Kosrezic, Cinnik, Carvish, and the two from Jabliim went through this just learning and doing what was asked of them with indifference. It was among them that chose to take things a little easier.
Once the time had reached his end, he departed the shadows and moved to the front. By now, a couple of them had to notice that he never came from the training area entrance, but from a random wall. Surely they knew he was constantly watching. Calling them to the front, he began the lesson. "Alright, today we are going to begin working on the basics of attacks. However, I use the term basic loosely here as what you are about to learn is much more advanced than what some of the other students are learning. As we get into it, hopefully you'll begin to see why."
Summoning one of the training dummies from the wall, he motioned for the students to stand around him. Two beside him while six ran up the sides, all so they could see his attacks. "Despite what you may think, when in a fight, you should always aim to end it quickly by doing the greatest amount of damage in the shortest amount of time. The best way is to attack vital organs and pressure points. Doing so can maximize your strikes. We'll start with the face and neck." He moved up to the dummy and motioned to each section he mentioned it and showing the proper technique when applicable. "The eyes, of course, are a big target. Normally not a place people usually strike, but a blind enemy is typically a dead one. The next spot would be the temple, located on each side of your head, just behind the eyes. Four different bones of your skull meet here and is the weakest part of your skull. A direct horizontal blow can crush and quite possibly kill someone. Two more points on the side of the head is right behind the ear and just behind the jaw line. These are small points and difficult to get to, needing only a finger or two to actually access them effectively. The biggest effects gained from these are intense pain. You also have the back of the head where it connects into the neck. A chop is the best method as you get the force needed from a full punch, but with the line of her hand, you are able to make the proper contact and can usually drop an opponent into unconsciousness. Attacking the same way at the side of the neck, near where it meets with your shoulder gives you a similar result. Finally, a direct strike straight into their throat. A devastating move that can crush the throat. Now, I want you all to work on these areas. Fist to the temple, chop to the back and sides of the neck, finger jab to the jaw and ear, and a choking strike, followed by a knuckle strike to the throat." He showed them what he meant by a choking strike, as it looked like his hand was coming in the choke the dummy, but struck hard with the curve of his fingers made by his thumb and pointer finger. He then used the Force to pull out the other dummies and spread them out, motioning for each student to move to one. "Now, you all do it. It doesn't matter the pattern you go with. Attack in any flow you want, but keep it going until I tell you. Focus on precision strikes, learn these point, burn them into your mind so that when you face someone, these points stand out to you as if they were glowing. Begin."

As Gavin called them together, they were somewhat confused as to why he pulled out a dummy to train with instead of just showing them as before and having them continue with each other. Still, much of the frustration they held dissipated, even from Duvrax, as Gavin explained the lesson they'd be learning. After three days that seemed like forever, they'd finally learn how to take an opponent down. It was even more appealing when Gavin explained that the moves weren't really a basic level of combat. As he went through the motions, focusing on the head, it became obvious as to why they were going to use dummies. Not only was the first part attacking the head, these points they were meant to attack were extremely dangerous and possibly fatal. For once, Duvrax actually smirked at knowing what he was about to learn. But truth was, he still didn't think any better of Gavin, only that he was being shown something that he could turn against the so called master.
As Gavin set the dummies, the students split up to being working on the head area, moving through the flow of movements Gavin showed them. It didn't take long for them to see something strange about the dummy. If they missed the target, they hit something hard while the target area was small and softer. A punishment, so to speak, for failing to hit the point. To avoid hurting themselves from constantly hitting a hard surface, it encouraged them to quickly figure out the exact points and memorize them.

Gavin let them work for ten minutes on their attack patterns, working to grasp just where each location was on the dummy. He could see they were learning fast about the harder parts of the dummy. Hopefully, that aided them in getting more accurate faster. Once time was up, he called them all back to him.
"We'll now move on to the next points regarding in the upper torso and arms. The first point will be the sternum. It is dead center in your chest, the connecting bone that holds your ribs together. It is what also helps to protect your heart and lungs. When attacking this, it is a good idea to deliver a strong punch into it. Moving down just below the sternum is both the diaphragm and the solar plexus. The diaphragm runs along the bottom of the rib cage and has an important part in respiration. With the right impact, you can knock the wind out of your opponent and leave them vulnerable for a good duration. Just below it, the solar plexus can affect the diaphragm as well which can further aid in rendering your opponent useless. Next you can make jabs to one's side, impacting the soft muscle tissue around the ribs. Because there isn't much muscle, focused jabs can really hurt. Finally, you can make a finger jab into the recessed section between your collarbone." He waited a moment to let the knowledge settle into their mind. When he was certain they were ready to continue, he lifted the arms of the dummy. "Next, we'll move to the arms. You can make a jab at the point where the shoulder is, penetrating into the joint where the arm meets the shoulder. From there, you can use your knuckles to impact the inner part of the arm at the bicep, the elbow, the spot just above the wrist, and, of course, the wrist. Strikes here can make can aid in rendering the arms useless. Some cases can cause the arm to force the hand open and loosen a grip on a weapon. Most of the time, though, it will simply numb the arm, which still makes it less useful to your opponent. One more place is the back of the hand. With the same means of impact as most of the arm attacks, you can effectively break the small bones in one's hand. Now, as before, show me how well you can manage them."

Glad that Gavin was breaking it down into steps, the students paid as much attention as they could. By far, this lesson had more details than any of them and if he had gone through them all in one go, they might have missed a couple. Once he instructed them to work on the next series of strikes, they returned to their dummies and began working through the appropriate spots, working on their precision.

It was another ten minutes before he brought the current run to a close. He began to wonder if they noticed that as they progressed downwards, it seemed as if there were less points to hit. Truth was, there were many more, but those were far harder to hit in combat, if not impossible. Extremely small target area and hard to reach locations made it mostly and avoidable topic. Besides, they had more than enough locations to bring someone down if they could hit them.
Seeing that that were slowly getting it, he called them back for a final demonstration. "Alright. Now we'll address the lower body. In the end, we won't spend any real time here. Yes, there are quite a few points through your legs and feet, but in combat, the chances of getting low enough to make a strike there is almost pointless. So for now, we'll focus only on the knees. When striking the front, a good kick to cause the to hyper extend can possibly drop them with a strong enough being capable of breaking the kneecaps. You can use jabs or kicks to impact the backside and sides of the knee where the muscles are weaker, much like your arms. It can also cause your opponent's knees to bend against their will and drop the to the ground, giving you a moment to strike. We won't go through an individual run with them. But right now, I want you to attack the dummy using all the pressure points. Begin."

With the last of points shown to them, the students began working on impacting all locations in various patterns. It was a bit surprising still that Gavin was showing them this style of attack rather than basic punching forms. But as Gavin had told them, a fight was best approached with doing the most damage in a short amount of time. And if these were targeting vital organs and pressure points, their effectiveness would be much greater than a simple punch. Not basic technique, but much more useful to start with.

He let them go on for a full hour before calling them back to him. This part of the training needed extra time and focus, allowing each to move at their own pace. Precision was something that took quite some time to master and this was an idle target. Soon, he'd have to use training droids to enhance their training, making them have to move and dodge while seeking these spots. The counter and parry aspect would get them started, but eventually they'd be shifting from individual lessons to full on sparring while using everything they've learned. He made a mental note to look into other bits of training gear they could where that would allow them to fight at their best and use everything they learned without risk of injury. Unfortunately, there was little else he could do.
As the students gathered, he looked at all of them. "Well done. All of you are starting to pick up quickly on how to hit an opponent's weakest spots with precision. However, as you may have guessed, your opponent will not just stand there for you to attack him. They will push you, making hitting these targets very difficult. From here, use your sessions with counters and parries to adapt to striking these points with a moving target. But make sure you attack only the torso. If anyone gets seriously injured, it'll hinder the partner's growth as there will be no others to spar and grow with. So keep that in mind. Another thing to note, as with being difficult to hit these spots, you can't always just wait for an opening. You still need to attack. As such, I will show you in time techniques for specific punches, mostly on how to increase the strength of your attacks with aid of the Force. But for now, I want you to improvise your normal attacks." He then took a breath. "I now want you all here two hours early. For the first three lessons, you will do as you have before with your partner. Afterwards, you will spend the last thirty minutes training with your attacks on the dummies. And I want you all pushing yourselves, not taking it easy, trying to keep from getting tired. An opponent will not take it easy on you so you cannot afford to take it easy during your training. I am always watching your progress. Remember that. Dismissed."

Though it was already suspected they'd be adding another half hour to when they came in, they still groaned. It was tiring putting so much effort into their training and not being allowed to let up. But they had made some serious progress on their lessons, enough that they didn't leave with the same level of frustration they normally did.

The next day, the students arrived, more dragging themselves in this time around unlike the first couple days. There were conditioned for such heavy training and after the hours they had spent over the week thus far, they were growing a bit tired, even after a full night of sleep. But they did as they were instructed. He was their teacher, a master within the order. Despite feelings against him or for him, he was a master within the order and needed to be respected, less they be met with some form of punishment.
They started by going through the lessons in order, first with evasion, then blocking, and finally ending with counters and parries. After an hour and a half of work, they switched to individual work by attacking the dummies. It was this last bit that most of them put forward extra effort, seeking to grow in these more advanced techniques. If Gavin was to be believed, attacking these points would grant them a greater edge over their opponents.

Gavin stood in the corner, arms crossed as the students went about their early training. He could see that they were growing weary, but he felt that they'd get a valuable rest with the day's lesson. He understood there pain, but they had to start early to more effectively establish better stamina later in their training. That would allow them to go longer and learn more.
Once the two hours came to an end, he moved out to start class. "Alright, everyone. Gather around." Once they reached him, he put his hands on his hips. "You have each been doing well in learning the basics of unarmed combat. There is still a way to go, but we are going to shift our focus today. We will start working on establishing your connections to the Force. Take a seat."
He waited for all of them to sit as he took a deep breath. "Meditation is key when connecting to the Force. Close your eyes. Before you can master it and use it for your desires, you must learn to connect with it at will in any case. If you are in battle, but can't utilize the Force quickly and with ease, then it will only be a liability to you. Some of you may have already felt the Force flow through you and may have even utilized an ability or two. Some of you have yet to remotely even feel it. But that will change now." Taking a moment, he began his instruction. To at least a few them, what he'd say next would raise red flags. But it would be required to start, or it would be under him as it was how he best slipped into its flow. "As odd as it may seem, we'll be starting in a way that the Jedi do: clarity and peace. Close your eyes and steady your breathing. Take even breaths in through the nose and out the mouth. Still your mind, settle the questions and thoughts until the mind finds this point of emptiness. Find the peace and separate yourself from the world around you, its chaos and discord. Become like a stone in the river, still and unmoving. As you find this stillness, let yourself go and become one with the environment around you. Everything has a rhythm to it, a flow. Find the harmony. The energy of the Force exists everywhere around you as well as inside us all. Connect to that which moves around you seemingly so unnoticed." He waited a few moments before continuing, knowing that being able to relax and let go of one's thoughts and questions were difficult. "It's far from an easy thing, to settle the mind and become still. Living beings of all manners are active and rarely still themselves unless they are resting. Before one can truly wield the Force freely, one must be able to feel it easily without the means of mediation and focus. You must become one with it and it with you, connecting to it second nature. The Force is not just a weapon to be wielded for battle. It is an energy of its own design. It flows within us, but we must make the effort to to understand it, to feel it, to become one with it. Try and imagine yourself in a place that brings you peace. For instance, imagine a hot bath after a hard day. How does it make you feel? Do you feel yourself slowly letting go of the tension as your muscles relax?"
Gavin remembered these words as what he had instructed Nidana with on the first day. All but a small piece. For now, only she would be privy to the knowledge that they'd face teachings of both the Jedi and Sith to make them greater than both of orders.

The students spread themselves out as Gavin instructed, taking a seat. Finally, what they all were waiting to learn was finally being taught to them. For a few, they felt they were ready to move on to learning how to use it, but chose to be satisfied with meditation and connecting to the Force. However, they were all surprised when his first words said they would follow the path as the Jedi do to start. A bit of anger came from a few like Duvrax would held the Sith in high regard. But he stayed his tongue and went with it for now.
They all closed their eyes, letting Gavin's words sink in. Indeed, it was much harder than expected. Frustrated, anxious, minds full of questions, so many things to keep them from finding a sense of calm to slip into meditation. Luckily, Gavin understood their feelings before they themselves did and offered up a way to achieve this. And so they all began working on thinking on things that granted them peace. Friends, fun, family, reading, each with their own thoughts that settled the mind. Slowly, each of them began to become calm, though it took nearly thirty minutes to do so.

He could feel them slowly finding peace within themselves. Time here was of no consequence. If it took the rest of the day for them to finally touch the Force and establish for themselves an easier path to do so on their own time, then so be it. Taking a deep breath, he continued to speak, letting his voice become lower, smoother so as not to disrupt their meditations, but rather blend into it. "Let go of yourselves. Open your mind, hear the slightest sounds around you, find the rhythm. It flows around you and through all living things. It connects us and grants us strength. Let the currents flow over you and carry you along."

Each of them kept at their meditation. For the few that had utilized the Force before, like Duvrax and Krokaa, it was a much easier task as they had either grew up grasping the sensations of the Force, or had used it and remembered what it felt like. The others were another matter, but bit by bit, they all began to feel. For some, it felt like a trickle of water, slowly turning to a dripping faucet, picking up to an actual small. gently flowing stream. Others related it to a a faint breeze of the wind. No matter how it was viewed, they were starting to grasp it, beginning to feel it to a point where they were establishing a full connection.
