Felucia
Originally known as Galuch, Felucia was a fungus-covered, fairly inhospitable planet between Thanium and Mossak, located near the Perlemian Trade Route. Settled by the Gossam race early, it would become an important CIS stronghold during the Clone Wars and the site of a major battleground. The Twi'lek Jedi Master Aayla Secura was sent here to fight for the Republic, but was later killed during Order 66. The Togruta Jedi Master Shaak Ti would later seek refuge from the Great Jedi Purge on this world, only to ultimately be defeated by Galen Marek, falling to her death in the sarlacc pit.
The Galactic Empire would gain a foothold on the world, and Jabba Desilijic Tiure briefly set up a cartel here until his fall in 4 ABY. The Empire's rule was later relinquished when the New Republic drove away the Imperial Remnant.
Later, Felucia would again undergo a power struggle of Jedi versus Sith until it came under the influence of Jedi Master Raven Alora. She, along with other Jedi, founded the Felucian Conclave within the Jedi Base originally built by Commander Belac. The world, due to its strength in the Force and ever-shifting balance, continued to see its fair share of struggles with dark forces, such as the being Ramius and later the demon known as The Legion, though both were defeated. The Jedi of Felucia would later be joined by Aerandir Calmcacil and the Jedi of Belkadan when their Academy was attacked and damaged.
Eventually, the Jedi Order would come to call Felucia their home, largely operating from the former Jedi Base as well as a small number of other locations. The same Base was eventually damaged in a raid by the Blackguard, leading the Jedi to build a new, better-suited temple as their central home, from where the heart of the Order still operated, proving their ability to stand strong in the face of adversity.

Current Ruling Factions:
Felucia is an independently-governed world, watched over by and sharing a cooperative working relationship with the Jedi Order.
IC Sympathy Tends Towards:
Jedi or other servants of the light, allies of the Jedi Order, researchers, civilians, and other such non-hostile entities. Antagonistic entities are free to appear with the understanding that their IC discovery will be met with appropriate resistance.
Type of RP and/or SL Likely to be Found:
Felucia is open to any and all types of RP, whether it be closed, open, planned, or spontaneous. Our only request is that you do not seek to be disruptive for the sake of being disruptive; our primary focus is to create a welcoming RP environment for all. However, our other goal is good story, whatever form that may take, and do not wish to control the RP of another party, just so long as everyone involved keeps a level of respect for their fellow writers.
To Join the Story Here:
As always, respecting each other is key. Felucia is welcoming of all types of storylines, as long as you respect your fellow writers. However, in a departure from previous procedures, requesting landing clearance via orbit is only required if seeking to land at the Jedi Temple, unless otherwise prearranged with a member of the writing team there. The Temple would understandably desire to screen any and all incoming traffic, but any seeking to RP in other areas of the planet are free to come and go as they please. While not necessary, a PM or other correspondence with the writing team would be beneficial in helping provide you the best possible RP experience; similarly, new arrivals may receive a PM from the writing team asking if there's anything we can help you with. So stop on by and we hope you have a good time!
Things to Keep in Mind:
Felucia is largely untamed and uncharted jungle, full of dangerous beasts, plants, and fungi. It's also home to a number of diseases, which can be prevented by inoculation; said inoculations would most likely be found in civilization, though it's conceivable one could receive them offworld.
The world is watched over by both the Jedi and the native Felucians; the Jedi tend to focus on the civilized areas, but will lend a hand when needed within the wilderness, where the Felucians protect. The Felucians tend to have a good relationship with the Jedi and a tolerable one with offworlders, though perhaps not all of them. They adore and worship their homeworld, thus they would not take kindly to any who would willingly desecrate it, for instance.
Who to Contact:
As mentioned above, you are generally free to arrive and write on Felucia as you please. For seeking Jedi storylines on the planet, you may contact Aerandir Calmcacil ; for further Jedi Order activity beyond Felucia, you may contact Mike Frantz or Will Sontir as well.
Important Landmarks:
- Jedi Temple
- The home of the Jedi Order, the temple was built after the Sith raid on their former base. Constructed from white marble, it stands as a beacon of light in the galaxy, proof of their unity and devotion to peace and freedom. As a newer establishment, it is equipped with the best accommodations the Jedi could provide for its residents, whether it be their state-of-the-art medical wing, expansive archives, tranquil gardens, or varied training facilities.
[li]Military Base[/li]
- This base, originally built by Commander Belac for military personnel, once served as a branch of the Jedi Order, and later its home. The base was left damaged following a Sith raid, resulting in the construction of a new temple. The base was repaired during and after this construction, reverting to the military base it once was.
[li]Kway Teow[/li]
- Kway Teow is the capital city of the tropical world of Felucia. During the Clone Wars, Commerce Guild Presidente Shu Mai maintained a secure compound just outside the city borders, which was a short speeder ride from the city. Now, however, it is a free city, its government working closely with the Jedi to ensure its residents' safety.
[li]Niango[/li]
- In the final days of the Clone Wars, the Sepratists constructed a biomolecule facility within the city of Niango, from which a toxin spread into the planet's water supply. Jedi Master Aayla Secura and Jedi Knight Barriss Offee, along with their plans, attempted to stop the poison spread, but were killed when Order 66 was executed. The newly-formed Galactic Empire, however, would finish the job. Now a simple city, the people of Niango would sooner forget the incident.
[li]The Vanishing Place[/li]
- The Vanishing Place is a prison established by the Galactic Empire on Felucia shortly after the end of the Clone Wars. Gilder Varth was interned there before being rescued by the Alderaanian Resistance. Captain Vischera worked there. For a time, it was the base of the darksider Ramius, until he was defeated. The Vanishing Place was later purged of its shadows by Mary Cerulea and a small strike team.
[li]Ancient Abyss[/li]
- The Ancient Abyss is a sacred sarlacc pit located on the planet Felucia, home to the largest known sarlacc specimen in the galaxy. At the time of the Galactic Civil War, a Felucian city existed between the teeth and gums that stretched for kilometers around its maw. The tendrils of the sarlacc are so large that they are capable of dragging large beasts such as rancors into the creature's mouth.
[li]Rancor Graveyard[/li]
- The Rancor Graveyard is an ancient site on Felucia filled with the bones of dead Rancor creatures. Bail Organa was held here during the Felucian genocide by Maris Brood, who had taken control of the Felucian tribes. The ground around the area was seemingly unstable; when Galen Marek fought a Bull Rancor at the graveyard, he used the force to pick up and drop the rancor, causing the earth to collapse and opening up a large chamber.
