Dathomir
Dathomir was a remote, obscure and dangerous planet in the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by Force-sensitive Humans known as the Witches of Dathomir, along with their evil counterparts, the Nightsisters. It was also the homeworld of the dreaded rancors. Dathomir was the site of numerous battles throughout galactic history.
Dathomir was the fourth planet of Dathomir system, located in the Quelii sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It had four moons, including Koratas.
It was somewhat smaller than Coruscant in size and thus a slightly-below-standard gravity. The planetary day was close to standard though the planetary year was 491 days.
Dathomir was considered a temperate and beautiful planet by Human standards, with a varied terrain that included coastal lakes and tar-pits, thick forests and snow-capped mountain peaks, powerful rivers and broad savannas, small icecaps and dramatic rift valleys. Even under the New Republic, however, nine-tenths of the planet remained unexplored and uninhabited, with the population limited to a relatively small area along the edge of one of the three main continents, a zone of uplands and river plains bordered on one side by the unsailed ocean and on the other by vast expanses of desert.

What to expect as a new RP arrival wanting to write here:
- New players are welcomed to join in any roleplays. However it is suggested to PM any players you wish to roleplay with beforehand.
- New players may PM any players involved on the planet to ask for a way to hop in.

Any major factions/chars/places of interest that have been RPed here:
- In most recent history, the First Order came to the planet, occupying the surface temporarily and sacking it. It would later use this system as one of its major launching points for the campaign against the ailing Galactic Alliance. After the war ended, however, the Imperials left.
- For a time, the planet was left to its own designs. The Nightsisters and Witches of Dathomir lived on and went back to their daily lives.
- Prior to the rise of the Conclave, the former apprentice of Darth Malvus, the Dark Lady, Luxeria, came to the planet to gain its allegiance in exchange for promises to be fulfilled. It was later revealed that the planet was meant to be an outpost for the Resurgent Sith Conclave.
- The night clans were divided and left to their own leaderships, but the Conclave desired to see its new allies united if possible. The Conclave had begun to negotiate with the clans and supply them with the promises made prior.
- The fall of the Resurgent Sith Conclave saw the Nightsisters fall into disarray as their allies armies disappeared, allowing the Witch Clans to rise up out of exile and imprisonment and take back control of the planet. Thus was formed the Coalition of the Witch Clans.
- Under the command of Grand Marshal Zahn, the First Order returned to Dathomir and parlayed with the Witch Clans. Offering to them an alliance in which the First Order would maintain Dathomir's orbital security, in exchange for access to the Trade Outpost.
- Over the ensuring months and years, the Trade Outpost was expanded into a small city proper with a spaceport and a small castle for the Governor. Increased relations also allowed groups of traders, archeaologists, and treasure hunters to make trips across Dathomir and share in profits with the local Clans.
- Carmiya Alcyon currently acts as the First Order Governor for Dathomir.
