Umm... dude. Just read the regulations and do the math. You have too many ships to use in open-uni combat. That is both the long and short of it.
I'm not going to vote because I'm the reason for this poll, but I will specify that our battle is not a fleet engagement. All I did was notice you were over the limit and offer an IC, story-based solution to the problem.

People still use fleets? Huh.
If you're over the limit... You're under arrest. Or something like that.

If your open Uni, non-closed SL fleet is over the Reg numbers, your fleet is too big, and it needs to be reformed to comply with site laws my Friend. Trask is right. (Don't tell him I agree with him though....)

I think it is too large. However, unlike those that set too much stock solely by the regulations, I have a different reason for that opinion. Namely the lack of support for the fleet. According to your bio, you are currently not the ruler of any region of space, nor are you a high ranking military leader or favored adviser to someone that is. If you had the In Character support structure in place for a large fleet (such as control of a planet or planets on the board) then it would be much more reasonable (especially if you stated that it was the main battle fleet for the region). However, as just a personal fleet that you scrapped together, you should be able to keep it operational with what you have available, nor would you be able to obtain replacements if one was lost or significantly damaged (assuming that the ships followed you into exile).
In short, I think your fleet is too large compared to the level of resource you currently have.
On a more personal aside, I feel that the fleet numbers currently given in the rules are more suited to that of a mid-rank fleet commander or that of a personal 'state' fleet for a high-ranking, 'valuable' government official. They are not, I feel, suited to a high-ranking fleet commander or as the main battle fleet of a regional government (IE any group that controls a planet on the boards).
