Already a war between Mandolorians and Forcies is big and all, but setting up possibilities for another war (keep in mind it a user based war) seems perfect. These are the possibilities that this site can do better than others, determine its own future and let the grudge matches begin. I'm all in with this, and I can bet no one is getting out of this witbout a battle scar. Not even a jawa.

The CSA planets/region of space will be Mando (as the admiral had already started solidifying his control there, & working with the only other RPer out in that area).

Really, we're not at that stage yet.
This is just to see who's interested. We need to finish several Mando battles first.

Can we just say you won instead?
Mandos need some thinning anyway.
This RP is more interesting.

Sadly, no. A lot of people are invested in the war and for my part, I am looking forward to handily kicking their asses off Kuat.

Handily kicking our asses at Kuat? WEll, numbers aside, aren't we supposed to win that battle? We eventually lose at Yavin, but Kuat was supposed to be the turning point for the SIth/Jedi to stop killing eachother long enough to push us back...But AFTER Kuat....Or am I wrong? I'm not usually wrong....

That was before Carida and Ossus. Now...I don't know that Kuat has a decided winner, just that you get my weapon or the plans to it.

Using the Mando Holy War as a catalase for this RP only works if the MHW progresses properly. As much as I would like to think the whole war can continue even with things on Yavin IV severely stalled, it's just not a reality. Ashrah can't very well write future battles simultaneuously with Yavin because he can't include almost anything ABOUT it in those future timelines. And he's only one example. I'm stuck in the same rut, where I'm unable to narrate a massive amount of content for Ander's "future timelines in the MHW" because the events on Yavin that will undoubtedly affect those timelines simply hasn't happened yet. It's like asking me how the rest my day will affect my mood tomorrow: I don't have an answer because the rest of TODAY hasn't happened yet. So the idea that we can continue the MHW alongside Yavin trips over its own dick. Ossus and Corellia are more minor engagements that were planned to take place at roughly the same time, so those work out. But others, especially something like Kuat, are more critical. Yavin needs to be furthered, or the MHW will lose it's momentum. Tying this RP in with the Cold War once we have our butts in gear shouldn't be a problem though. Sin's already outlined how she thinks events ought to transpire, though those suggestions can be modified at need based on the ideas others generate. And I would still push for a sticky on each affected planet throughout the course of the Cold War that outlines just how that planet has been affected, what they're alignment is, etc and so forth. It would not be a difficult endeavor, and simply pasting that info all onto the same thread in the Planning Board (or wherever), will severely limit the number of people who come across that information. Put it out in their face, so when they drop by a planet acfected by the Cold War, they get a quick synopsis of what's going on so they can write according to the standard and atmosphere set. That's the best way to ensure the Cold War has real lasting affects. If we don't do that , then people will simply trundle along writing however they want to, as they'll be able to effectively ignore most of what's happening, designate their writing as Closed RP and nothing changes. We'll be left writing it all out on our own and probably still be held up by Yavin. ( joking! Much love for you lot. )

Ali/Ander - You do realize that since JvS technically has no set timeline that people can, in fact, ignore it and not be affected by it by simply RPing in the past before all of this happened. Just throwing that out there. (I'm sure someone will contradict me anyway).
