Or at least, they probably ought to. Included in this list are planets with no posts later than June 30, 2013.
The idea here is to do this in a semi-collaborative way. Any of these planets may be claimed at any time by anyone according to the rules of the site (or at least as they used to be, never did hear any different.) By doing this in an orderly fashion, with cooperation and communication between factions and individuals, we can hopefully avoid the bad feelings that could result. So if you have a historical claim on a planet as a faction, or it lies close enough to your territory that it just makes sense that it would be yours, let us know. If, as an individual, you have a legitimate use for a planet, let us know that as well. By doing so, you're agreeing that the planet will be used on a regular basis.
If you or your faction controls a planet on the list and would like it removed from consideration, please speak up. Oh, and start using it too. That would be lovely. If RP is there and hidden, you probably ought to speak up about that as well.

I had claimed it a long time before the crash and was setting up for some very good RP but then the crash came and I've spent the majority of my time since this new site opened trying to rebuild my group. That being said I still have some stories planned there if you wouldn't mind me finishing them up and then I'll move to somewhere like Kinyen since I had my eye on it before the crash.

Fine, Organization Secret Sight Man.
I want at least a small detachment working in radio silence there. I'm thinking about one research group with a company of Fallschrimäjer.
I don't want to wait until you're done to begin though. Have my own objectives to fulfill. If it's an issue, expel them using whatever methods you deem fit. I like competitors.
I would like to lay claim to the two Expansion Region planets. Seems like a good way to begin trade with other sectors.

Selonia and Tralus, given their location and canon socio-economic set up, are more or less tied to the allegiance of Corellia. I guess that makes them Republic.
Rhommamool I would like to stick an OOC flag in, but actually under the guise of sort-of-Dark-Side, sort of. It's proximity and long-standing antagonism to Osarian (if anyone is unfamiliar, they share a planetary system and are in adjacent orbits, meaning they occasionally pass close enough to each other for planet-to-planet missile strikes) is something I want to explore and set up some stories around. Still formulating ideas, but I'd like a chance to explore the possibilities with my gang before anyone else puts their mitts on it. Will probably pop up an IC post in the next few days to reinforce that.

As a rule of thumb, I'd like everyone to give it about a week after announcing their intent to claim and actually claiming the place. That way you can work out issues between yourselves and it also affords the previous owner every opportunity to pop back up. Should prevent most of the drama.

If I can be honest, Major, I don't really want to fight for it. You didn't even state the planet by name, which is why I didn't clock it. There are plenty of worlds you can lay a claim to, plenty which will serve your purpose just as well as Rhommamool, and if we're going by canon, Rhommamool isn't a great world to set up any kind of tradepost on. The system is already Republic controlled (same system as the politically dominant Osarian - the two worlds actually orbit each other much in the same way Talus and Tralus do) and I already represent what is technically both worlds in the Senate through my Senator for they Osarian sector, and I just want to finally bring the two together as the pair that they are in canon, in an effort to give both worlds a the RP life and purpose they need. Is there anyway we can avoid this being a headache, and you make use of one of the many other worlds that serve your intentions just as well, if not better? In the spirit of collaboration? |
