Like our Mandalorian adversaries, this thread is to detail what you're bringing to the fight (If you're not coming alone.) and to toss around ideas on how to overcome the crusaders and defend Kuat. As they've requested that we not use their OoC information IC, we shall request the same. Metagaming sucks and it ruins the setting we're in the process of making. (That does not mean you can't co-operate with them to garner a better understanding of what's taken place. Good OoC conduct will see us having a blast blowing up schtuff and having schtuff blown up in return!)
Once I get home from work, I'll list the orbital defenses and the like in another post. In the meantime friends and allies, lets get to listing and planning.

We will still have a significant portion of civilians in the Drive Yards at the time of the battle so there will need to be a concerted effort to protect them and the Drive Yards from enemy control.
The Estate of the Ten contains a fully functioning military base so it will be heavily defended but canonically speaking the Drive Yards are not heavily armored or heavily armed. They are our weakest link. That needs to be taken into account for our tactics.

I will lead the effort to evacuate the Drive Yards, if there's no objection. I can start off doing some investigation into the Yard's books and such- knowing they're somehow tied with Dark Tide would pique the interest of at least one or two parties, I'd assume.
That's if you're ok with me doing that, Sin? I'll also defend civilians and engage any enemies who try to land and do damage.

I wasn't originally planning on getting into this from this account, but it looks like I'll be on planet when the invasion happens, and I'm not getting paid to sit on my arse while the place burns down around me. I can help coordinate the land campaign, seeing as how that's where the majority of my training and experience in the real world lies.

Mike Frantz had previous asked to help evac and defend, I'm sure there will be plenty for the two of y'all to coordinate for the defense of the civies.
As for the espionage, the databases will be backed up, removed and taken offline prior to the arrival of the Jedi to assure that the records survive the battle. DT is only a partial shareholder in the KDY. Since coming to 2.0, DT no longer controls the shipyards, instead giving control to the NPC families who should control it in canon.

Well hopefully someone bites on my idea inthe main thread. If so Gideon your ship was part of the IR right? If so would the captian be the same (or anyone) who might recognize a code or something. Panno isn't exactly a pilot.

No worries, then; I can just write it out as a dead end, and Jerek being in place when the attack hits, rather inconveniently.

Since we have the defaults for it now, DT will be using their faction bonus ship, The Shadow Reaper, a Sovereign dreadnought.

Im putting together the Jedi military contingent as we speak. I will have a list of all we are bringing as soon as I have it So far, only one has -any- kind of team with them, and that is one small Shadow team that Zalor is bringing. The rest of us appear to just be bringing ourselves.

Alright now that the battle is joined, combat losses are going to take their toll. I'll be using this thread to keep track of the ships I have under my control and the deaths those vile mandalorians have inflicted. Note: plenty of updates to follow as I make the posts.
One Golan III Gun platform - Destroyed - All hands lost in the resultant reactor detonation.

I might as well just drop myself in here. I may be a Mandolorian, but Dha Werda Verda and I are here to help the Dark Tide. Tor'ade troopers are some of the only 'good guy' Mandolorians that exist, as far as I'm sure, not to mention the fact that I'm the one that COINED the term. Even the benevolent GALSAF is on the attacking team. So DWV could do a few things to assist the Dark Tide, with directions, of course. But that comes later, because thus far I haven't made an official in-character alliance... so there's no communication between the two parties.

Aye, myself and Dev have two squadrons of fighters between the two of us - a Jedi squadron currently in a force meld mind you. We could do some damage, but some direction as to where you need us would be great. Covering escaping evac ships, taking down some bigger ships, taking out fighters...tell us where you need us, and we'll go there.

After my response Zulu, we can open up a line of communications and get things squared away so you can join with us. Inception is a wonderful muse to draw upon. lol
As for your mind melded squadron, I'm thinking some help about the South pole would be appreciated. We won't be able to scratch Taung's ships until the Shadow Reaper shows up, so instead of throwing you fine chaps into a suicide run I think you'll do nicely down under. plus you'll most likely meet up with Goran there! Win win situation for both of us, no?

I already have an excellent idea, and it would be really epic to carry out my plan, but first the DT would have to sort out the priority targets and find Taung's flagship. And it makes use of most of the factions on the defense... at least the ones who have access to starships.

Just a little heads up, will be posting the RDMC med fleet soon (mostly just attending to the wounded and attending to the final stages of the evac, as promised by Jena). Just wondering if it'd be cool to asume it had already arrived inside the defences? here is a quick rundown of the med fleet: 5 - Hope-class Hospital Ship "Hope 001, Hope 002, Hope 003, Hope 004, Hope 005" 2 - Modified Acclamator III-class Assault Ships "Acclamator Medical Zero-One, Acclamator Medical Zero-Two" (it'll be keeping a low profile)

Yeah, that's fine Becca. We'll go with your vessels showing up before the minefield was laid down and etc. As for your plan Zulu, care to elaborate some more? (Note that anything said here won't be used In Character as we don't like metagaming much, it ruins the fun of IC interactions that have been tainted by OoC schtuff. )
