*Clearly Lokay's anticipation hadn't gone unnoticed, as Atlantis commented on how "receptive" Lokay was to the idea, the comment eliciting another giggle from Morgan. Morgan herself was also pleased at the announcement that they had plenty of things for her to make a sandwich to her own liking; this was definitely making the great start even better!
She grinned, then watched Master Roma as she considered the prospect of being the one to open the door, an unusual hesitation. Wait, was she going to— Yes, she was! Morgan grinned as the honors were instead offered to her, just like she had wanted initially. She started to take a step forward toward the console, then stopped, put on a small smirk, and bowed toward the adults and her sister.* Thank you for this great honor, Masters. *She stood and giggled before turning toward the console, which did in fact adjust to her own size. First the thumbprint, which was easy enough, then the retina scan... She hadn't actually done one of these before, and so, as she looked into the scanner, she had to resist blinking at the weird, almost fuzzy-like feeling the scanner gave her, though she wasn't entirely sure how light could feel fuzzy...
And success! The scan registered perfectly and the door opened, allowing them access. Morgan eagerly stepped inside, mostly to get out of the mist, and took in her surroundings. Once more, the room was quite elegant, quaint even. Not that the dining hall on Felucia wasn't nice, but it was more... "restaurant" nice, not as homely. Not that she paid much attention to interior decorating; far as she was concerned, if it wasn't Felucia jungle, it already wasn't going to be as pretty anyway.*

*Serrin saw fit to ask Aerandir to call her by her name as well, which Aerandir was certainly okay with dispensing with the pleasantries. Now they were all on a first-name basis, it would certainly make conversation simpler and interactions friendlier. Atlantis then made a guess that he and Michelle were siblings, most likely based on the interaction; considering Atlantis had his own siblings, perhaps he recognized the playful interaction between them. Aerandir smiled and nodded, but it was Michelle who answered.* I know, I know, I'm young enough to be his kid. Well, if he started early... *Aerandir raised an eyebrow and playfully brushed a hand across the back of her head, miming smacking her.* Oi, mind your tongue, girl. *Michelle made an exaggerated sound of pain as she grabbed the back of her head and looked up at him with a feigned stunned expression. He responded by poking her in the forehead, and she leaned backward as though falling before catching herself and grinning as Aerandir focused on Atlantis again.* But yes. Basically raised her since she was very little, but we definitely acted like siblings. *He decided not to mention that aspect of how he came to raise her, deciding to focus more on the good memories, then watched as Serrin instead deflected the honors of opening the door onto Morgan. Morgan then made her own display of bowing and thanking them for this "great honor" before opening the door, the exaggerated act drawing a chuckle from her father. He and Michelle followed her inside, once more glad to be out of the mist, and Aerandir glanced around, once more admiring the architecture.* I've lived in three different Jedi establishments in my life and helped design two of them. I like to think all three had nice or impressive architecture, but nothing ever so homely. I may or may not be redecorating when I get home. *Not true, of course, as the Jedi Base on Felucia was quite fine as is, though he credited that to Raven Alora, or at least whoever she had design the place.*

Returning Morgan's bow with all of the solemnity and formality I can muster, I smile after rising from it to await the opening of the doors, and then follow everyone inside. The interior design of the dining is, unsurprisingly, as impressive as what I have seen of the exterior design of the academy, and I find the relaxing and natural aesthetic of the dining area appealing, finding it preferable to the more plain and unadorned cafeteria-like feel some academy dining halls can have when attention to mere function leads to an a near total lack of discernible form.
Laughing at Aerandir's comments, finding his description apt, I nod and say in jest, "You may not be alone in that, I feel as though I may be taking a few ideas about improving the overall interior design aesthetic back to the academy on Corellia as well. Glancing around to ascertain where the kitchen is likely to be, I suggest, Why don't you all find a table, and Morgan, Lokay, and I will look after the sandwiches and bacon? Tilting my head to the side with a bemused smile, I ask, Would anyone like anything else with their bacon or sandwich? Once Morgan and I have an idea of what everyone would like to eat and drink, I hold my hand out for Morgan and tell the others, Sit, relax, and talk among yourselves. We will handle everything from here."
Once Morgan and I are in the kitchen, we locate all that we'll need to make what needs to be made, and all that is required to make it, and I rub my hands together with a smile as I set a frying pan on the stove and say to her, "Alright then, let's get started, shall we?"

Atlantis chuckled playfully when listening to the siblings interacting with one another. He did not mean to mock them, because far from it actually, their banter was familiar territory to him either whenever he was in the same position as them or whenever he was a bystander when the banters did occur mainly between Lily and Crystal. Atlantis knew without a doubt that not only the Calmcacils would fit right in but they would also be in familiar territory perhaps. "I commend you for that Aerandir," Atlantis told the man sincerely, from how Aerandir had described it, raising her, but then considering her like his sister and also his equal Atlantis guessed, he just found that admirable. They still knew how to have fun and that was a good thing.
Hopefully this trip of theirs wouldn't be for naught nor would test too much their bond, Atlantis was still worried in a way on whether or not the press would have a field day with all of them here, maybe he should be talking with Lily about that, particularly for the two under-aged girls, Atlantis supposed that Michelle was in fact still underage, and Morgan it was a no brainer. Then again, his mind was running with several issues and he wasn't probably making any sense right now and he should also put a lid on his thoughts.
Finally looking at Morgan who had accepted to do the honors, Atlantis looked at Serrin with a warm smile before they finally entered the dining hall. The lights turned on automatically when Morgan had used her clearances to access this area, and Atlantis looked around with a knowing smile. Even his eyes landed on both Aerandir and Serrin with a grateful smile but then again, this wasn't Atlantis' doings, more of their architect's who had imagined every parts and inches of the Academy. "Elika," Atlantis started to say, clearly Serrin knew her, but Aerandir, Michelle and Morgan did not. "Elikapeka Hekekia, a very close friend of mine, architect by trade designed this Academy and took care of the interior aspects of most communal rooms." He explained in admiration before rubbing the back of his neck. "She also lives with my girlfriend, and I was thinking that perhaps if you felt like it," Atlantis looked at everyone to include all of them in this.
"Tomorrow you'd like to join us for a pool party and the mist won't be present at all, so you will have the sun." He assured all of them before looking at Serrin and Morgan who were going to deal with the food and all of that. "Ser-..." Atlantis started to say but cut short as he watched her walk away with Morgan, he blinked a few times and clearly didn't know what to say or do. But wasn't it his job to actually prepare the meal for the others, and not just be on the sideline and let others do what he was/ is supposed to do? Then again he knew better than to try and argue with Serrin. "Serrin! Just so you know, if you weren't a close friend of Crystal, I would have never let you do that!" Atlantis called out to her before rolling his eyes playfully as he finally just gestured to a table for he, Aerandir and Michelle to just sit and settle down, he even pushed back one of the seats for Michelle so she could take her place and he looked at the siblings with a warm smile. "My girlfriend, who happens to know how to just butcher me whenever I spar with her." He said with tight lips, that was a fact, he would train with Crystal from time to time in hand to hand combat but he could never ever punch or kick her, that was just out of the question for Atlantis...

*Leave it to her daddy to be the one to talk about how nice the place was... Morgan smiled to herself and shook her head, though did take interest in Atlantis's bit of trivia about how the place was designed by someone named... uh... Elika- something... He then suddenly extended the invitation to the pool part Master Roma had quietly spoken of moments ago, even assuring them there would be no mist. Morgan smiled, then, remembering how she was supposed to act surprised, gasped softly and grinned.* I love swimming! *She then looked at her daddy, putting on her best pleading look, which was actually indeed partially sincere.* Can we go, Daddy? I promise I'll wear my swimsuit! ... maybe. *She giggled, mostly because she was just trying to push his buttons. But then Master Roma suggested that she and Morgan take care of the food while the other three sit and talk among themselves before offering Morgan a hand to lead her further into the kitchens. Morgan beamed and took it.* Right! Leave it to us! *Not much room for catching the response from her daddy, maybe for the best. Atlantis had called after them in surprise, about how he'd never let Serrin handle the cooking if she weren't a close friend of someone named Crystal. Morgan only giggled, then stood at attention when Master Roma suggested they get started and saluted the Twi'lek even.* Yes ma'am! *She looked around the kitchen, eying out ingredients. Bread was easy to spot in a pantry, though she had to tug along a stool with her in order to reach it— Centimeters before her fingers made contact with the bread, she withdrew them as though it were hot and gasped.* Hands! *Looking around again, she spotted a sink, but as she headed towards that, she recalled the tailring on her shoulder and gasped softly.* Right! No animals in the kitchen! Sorry, Lokay! *She reached up to remove the tailring from her shoulder and marched back out into the dining area, depositing him on her daddy's lap with a grin.* Keep an eye on him, please! *Morgan then giggled and returned to the kitchen, Lokay looking after her curiously and perhaps a little eagerly; he'd been this close to the food, and now he'd been taken out? He wanted to eat...
Morgan returned to the kitchen, washing her hands at the sink as was procedure before heading back to the bread. She examined a few loaves, unsure which was the best bread for the task, then took what appeared to be an herb loaf and brought it over to the counter near Master Roma, smiling at her.* People think what goes on the sandwich is most important, but they're wrong! The bread's just as important, because it adds flavor too! *She giggled, then set off searching for other ingredients...*

*Serrin seemed to agree with Aerandir when it came to mentions of redecoration, though as jokingly as he had meant it. Atlantis explained who designed the building, a good friend of his named Elikapeka Hekekia. Bit of a hard name to follow, but pretty in its own way. Atlantis switched topics shortly after that, inviting Aerandir and family to a pool party the next day. Aerandir's eyebrows briefly raised; well, that was kind, and also sudden, considering how they'd just arrived on planet and barely knew each other.
Before he could lend more thought to it, Morgan had already spoken, declaring how much she loved swimming and basically begging him to say yes to the invitation... then making a quip about wearing her swimsuit.* What— Hey— *He couldn't recover in time as Serrin suggested that he, Atlantis, and Michelle find a seat while she and Morgan took care of the food. Aerandir almost wanted to stop her, but her pace had been too determinate, which didn't stop Atlantis from calling after her, saying he wouldn't let her do it if she weren't a good friend of Crystal. His girlfriend, he explained just afterward. Aerandir, meanwhile, was shaking his head, fighting an exasperated look.* Meanwhile, apologies about my daughter. She's, er... rather free-spirited. *Bit of an understatement, but he shrugged and gestured to a nearby table, which he and Michelle took a seat at, Michelle grinning. Once seated, Aerandir looked at Atlantis.* It's a generous invitation, thank you, though I feel a little unease regarding it. Mainly because of my daughter. *He cracked another smile and shook his head.* Kidding. *Becoming a little more serious, he continued.* Mainly, is the timing right? This won't really interfere with any sort of investigation or research? And moreover, would the hosts be okay with our appearance? *Michelle herself had considered these things. She wouldn't normally turn down a pool party, no way, but she was under the impression they had some here to investigate and clear someone's name. She supposed that didn't have to mean every bit of their time was spent with their noses to the grindstone, but it was definitely a little sudden; this man asks for aid for a serious problem, then invites them to a pool party first thing when they arrive? Actually that was kind of funny, and a corner of her mouth tugged upward into a smile before she fought it back down. She had no intention of criticizing Atlantis nor judging him, she was just a little confused and curious...*

"Oh, I quite agree. Indubitably, and unequivocally, I tell Morgan cheerfully when she conveys that the bread is every bit as important as the other components of a sandwich, You are wise beyond your years to have come to a conclusion that oft eludes others older and yet less versed in the noble art of sandwich making, and then nod my approval of her selection. Laying some bacon in the frying pan, I look over my shoulder at the large refrigerator, and smile as I suggest, That looks a likely place to continue your hunt for just the perfect additions to the bread to ensure a sandwich both tasty and healthy, don't you think?"
After making enough bacon for both Lokay and the sandwiches Morgan will be assembling, I place them in an over set to warm so that they will not be allowed to grow cold, and then perform a hunt of my own, searching for some appropriate accompaniment to sandwiches, eventually settling on a selection of sliced fruits that I arrange on a small tray, adding a small dish of cream to the center of the dish should anyone wish to add a bit of additional sweetness to their fruit. Tapping my foot on the floor with an exaggeratedly perplexed expression, I ask Morgan, "Now then, what do you think we should provide for beverages? Blue milk? Juice? A jug of each so that we offer our diners a choice? What do you think would best accompany your masterfully assembled sandwiches?"

Atlantis looked from Morgan, who promised to wear her swimsuit, to Aerandir with a dubious expression. The father's answer came soon enough and it got Atlantis to nod in understanding with a faint knowing smile, well if Morgan was used to do it that way, they might have a problem... Especially when that said party would have a few guys, and for his case, he would be uncomfortable about that. Not that he was the prude kind, but it really wasn't something that Atlantis wanted to be seeing considering Morgan's young age, that was just wrong, simple as that. Nonetheless, he looked at Aerandir and shook his head to let him know that he clearly had nothing to apologize for, children were still children anyways, so that wasn't a problem. "I understand about your daughter's ways to do things, although in the end, some of us will be the ones not at ease with that situation." Atlantis admitted with a knowing smile, he still looked at both Aerandir and Michelle to include her into everything he was saying currently.
Atlantis also figured that Aerandir would bring that up, indeed Atlantis had called them for help to investigate something, and his invitation was an option if they felt like it. "The way, I see it, Aerandir, nothing is ever the right timing," Atlantis said with a faint sigh rubbing his temple faintly. "The attorney general of this planet, just decided to carry on with her original plan, for the simple reason that with everything that has happened these last two days, she knew that we, mainly me and Andros, needed a break, and just carry on with our lives in a way." Atlantis knew that more or less, that would have been Lily's reasoning, and as AG of this planet, of course she would have had to take care of that situation but she decided otherwise, Atlantis supposed.
"I have invited you because that is where you'll probably get to meet my brother to get an idea for yourself of what type of man he really is, without the first accusations, without anything you might have heard over the press. My brother is the non trusting kind and he can only relax in a territory where he is comfortable with." Atlantis knew that it was a long winded explanation and he did not give the fact that Andros wasn't really fully a lightsider, he was still from time to time drawing some of his powers in the darkside but it has been a while now since the Vice-Governor did use the Force. "And don't worry about the hosts, they are actually the ones who extended the invitation when Serrin and I left their company, but if indeed you are worried about that event hampering your duties, I will be taking you all to the detectives and ranger who have taken over this investigation first thing in the morning." It was one of those things he could offer more or less indeed, Atlantis did not know how long that would take for all of them to be brought up to speed, that was to their own discretion, at least back at the precinct.
"But the invitation still stands, if and when you decide that you wish to have a moment of respite, Serrin knows where the hosts live and she can take you there, or I can pick you all up?" Smiling at that, hoping that it was agreeable for all of them, Atlantis inclined his head with a faint smile before looking at Michelle and then back to Aerandir. "Right, also the mist, sooner or later, your eyesight will adjust to it, and also perhaps you will find ways to use that to you advantage, I know it did for a few of us here."

*Morgan beamed when Master Roma voiced her agreement and praised her for her wisdom. It may have honestly seemed like an insignificant bit of knowledge, but she still enjoyed the compliment and felt proud of her discovery regardless. And it was true: Most people didn't really realize the true significance of a sandwich's various layers, so to master this ability early... she supposed it was okay to be proud of herself.
When suggested she look for ingredients in the fridge, she nodded.* Right! *Then she headed for the fridge and peeked within. There were plenty of ingredients here, cold cuts, veggies, condiments. She grinned and took sufficient amounts of each, placing them near the bread and shutting the fridge. She took a recount in her head of everyone present: Herself, Daddy, Michelle, Master Roma, and Atlantis, so five sandwiches, meaning ten slices of bread. She set these aside, then examined her potential ingredients...
... there. They were all perfectly layered, with an even spread of a creamy mustard-like condiment. Each were also topped with sufficient strips of bacon, and a plate on the side held some for Lokay's meal. She beamed, then turned to Master Roma as she discussed drinks. Morgan hadn't thought about that, normally she just grabbed whatever drink she felt like having. But were drinks just as complimentary to the sandwich-eating process as everything else? She put a finger to lips thoughtfully.* Hmm... Well, blue milk is kinda creamy, and so's the mustard I put on them... It wouldn't mix well! So juice! *Wow, maybe there were more layers to this than she thought. Creamy mustard plus creamy milk just meant you had nothing to wash down all that creaminess. Not that she thought that was a big deal, but maybe it was right now due to the need for conversation and whatnot. She giggled up at Master Roma.* I'm glad you thought to ask!

*Regarding Morgan's hinted habits, Atlantis only shook his head and claimed he understood, though added in that some of them would be the ones not at ease with that situation. Aerandir nodded, chuckling softly as he recalled the "birthday swim" on Honoghr.* And she'll respect that, she assured me of that in the past. She understands boundaries, but Force help you when there are none. Though if I had to, I'd glue that swimsuit onto her. *He chuckled again and shook his head, though Michelle looked at him with a smart-alecky grin.* Isn't glue water-soluble? Palm, meet face. Aerandir smiled to himself and shook his head once more.* Shut up. *Both siblings laughed again, then Atlantis moved on to discuss Aerandir's concerns. "Nothing is ever the right timing," he said, before explaining that the attorney general had carried on with her original plan, affording the family a break. Aerandir nodded, but it was Atlantis's next words that truly made the most sense: It would afford them the opportunity to meet Vice Governor Andros Vyridian in a casual, "comfortable" setting, and to have a chance to get to know the way he truly was, without the media and press muddying it up.
This made plenty of sense to him after all, and what was more, it had been the hosts themselves who'd originally extended the invitation. So in that sense, it was all solid. Aerandir nodded, then looked to Michelle, as though consulting a business partner. She looked back at him, raised an eyebrow, then shrugged and looked back at Atlantis with a polite smile.* That sounds good to us, then. *Aerandir nodded to confirm. When asked about their method of arrival, he too shrugged.* Whatever Serrin feels is best. Atlantis then concluded by saying that they would eventually get used to the mist, and perhaps find creative ways to use it to their advantage. Aerandir had a feeling he didn't mean just as cover or for disorientation, but he nodded nevertheless; something to meditate on then, he supposed. Michelle spoke up again.* Well, I was playing with it when we first got off the ship, but I don't think that's what you meant. *She ended this with a giggle. Aerandir smiled himself and waited for Atlantis's reply. Meanwhile, little Lokay was getting antsy as the smell of bacon from the kitchen wafted into the dining hall. He padded his feet and looked completely ready to take off from Aerandir's lap after it, but he gently restrained him with the palm of his hand upon his scaly back, softly verbally assuring him that it would come soon.*

"Juice it shall be then, I agree cheerfully after Morgan has weighed in on the matter of whether it shall be blue milk or juice that we serve with the meal we have prepared. After gathering enough glasses for everyone and setting them on a tray in the center of which I place the jug of juice, I pick it up and balance it in one hand while I balance the other tray with the selection of fruit slices in my other hand, and then use hip and foot to open the door and prop it open for Morgan as I smile and say, After you," as she is the author of the sandwiches which comprise the main course of the meal, and should therefore be first to present her creations to those not doubt eagerly awaiting their presentation.
Following after Morgan, I wait until she has introduced, or perhaps merely served, out the sandwiches and, in Lokay's case, the bacon; only setting the juice and sliced fruits down in the center of the table so that all can easily reach them after everything else has been served out. Gesturing towards a seat with a smile accompanied by a formal bow to invite Morgan to seat herself before I take my seat, I wait until she is seated to sit. Having already eaten, I am not particularly hungry, but as it can be awkward for those eating if someone present is not also doing so, I pour myself a glass of juice and add some of the sliced fruits to a plate to nibble on as the others eat. Having arrived in the middle of a conversation, or perhaps merely in the midst of some idle banter, I say nothing for the moment to avoid interrupting the flow of the interactions taking place to allow Atlantis, and Aerandir and his family the opportunity to get to know one another better.

Atlantis could not help but to chuckle at the interaction between Aerandir and Michelle, and that chuckle turned into a laughter soon enough with their back and forth. Truth be told, this was the first time he had met Aerandir and his sister along with the man’s daughter and quite honestly he was comforted by the fact that not only Aerandir could be serious when the occasion required it but he could also be a joker and didn’t seem to mind the punts thrown in his way.
That proverbial ice breaker had been used, and it comforted Atlantis in the fact that not only they could interact civilly but they had that entendre so to speak…
Atlantis kept his undivided attention onto the duo seated right in front of him and smiled warmly when Michelle had taken the floor to let him know that it was an agreeable suggestion, but still Atlantis knew that they had to warn the siblings about his own identical twin. “I should probably warn you already, that Andros is not like us.” Atlantis was aware that it might sound ominous or whatever and maybe it was surprising if and when people did not know Andros at all, but fact was, his identical brother, was really trying. “In terms of alignment in the Force, he is a Dark Jedi, it is how he qualifies himself and will always do until he at least feels that he has atoned for all of his past crimes.” He left it at that for the time being, Atlantis knew that there was no use to defend or try and defend a person about their alignment to people that truly did not know what made Andros Vyridian; Andros.
“It is not common knowledge though to the population that he is that way, all they do know is that he is a Force user, nothing more, nothing less,” That indeed was a common knowledge for Andros did a few times exhibit his Force sensitivity and Atlantis had promised himself to prevent Andros from any wrongdoings and insofar, the way Atlantis saw it, there had not been any wrongdoings from Andros at all, otherwise, not only he would have intervened, but he was very certain that a certain political advisor would have already done something about Andros’ situation.
Atlantis inclined his head when Michelle had told him that she had been playing with the mist earlier, and he smiled knowingly. “Do keep playing with the mist,” Atlantis encouraged her in her endeavors, for it was exactly that same way, more or less that Atlantis did find some other use for the mist. “Some of us have been putting it to use, me for instance to track down a person, if and when necessary, someone else for more of an offensive way and another for a more subtle and benign ways…” He explained with a knowing smile, if and when they were interested to find out, Atlantis could certainly show them, or they could keep talking about that matter when they really had that more time to discuss the mist situation, really.
Noticing from the corner of his eyes that Morgan and Serrin were coming back, Atlantis smiled and looked at the sandwiches Morgan had created, smiling knowingly and thanking both Serrin and Morgan to the marvelous looking foods, Atlantis only settled for some slices of fruits, as he too had already eaten back in the lakehouse. He wouldn’t be against tasting one of the sandwiches though for they did look very appetizing.
“So…” Atlantis started to say looking at both Morgan and Serrin with narrowed eyes, but he mainly focused onto Serrin; “You do realize that you unknowingly put me into trouble, you know that, right?” He asked her rhetorically with an amused grin before looking at Aerandir and Michelle then back to both Morgan and Serrin mainly. “I was telling them both earlier, that I will take you to the Ranger and detectives taking care of this matter, first thing in the morning, and that if you feel the need to have some reprieve you were all welcome to the lakehouse for it was a good way to get to know Andros as he will be in a setting that is comfortable to him.”
Out of all of them, Serrin was the one who knew Andros better, she knew where his core powers were drawn from but still it did not change the fact that both Andros and Serrin seemed to be respecting one another and even have that sense of comradeship. “Also, I said that I could either pick you all up when it was necessary, or you could pilot the airspeeder to the lakehouse location for I am sure that you already know the way by heart?” Another rhetorical statement, Serrin had been the first one to teach Crystal the basics of the Force anyways and they did know one another that much anyways.
Atlantis supposed that they could all think about that tomorrow, as for now, his gaze turned towards Morgan after he did take a sandwich and took a bite of it. “Okay, you put me to shame in the sandwiches department, Morgan, you really do.” He playfully said, but at the same time it was also a compliment for how tasty this masterpiece of hers was.

*Juice it was then, and Master Roma took both the drinks and the fruits while Morgan arranged the sandwiches and Lokay's plate of a bacon on a tray. When Master Roma propped open the door and offered her to go first, Morgan beamed and took the lead, carrying the platter of sandwiches out to the table where the three were already seated. Beaming, she set it down in the middle of the table, with easy access to all, then stepped back and bowed, waving her hand across the platter.* Lunch is served! Or, as the Felucians would say! *Without even thinking about it, she stood and rattled off a few series of clicks, trills, and grumbles. A moment passed, then she realized that she was the only one present who understood what she had just said. She blushed a little.* Er, sorry, that was Felucianese, I said "May this hunt nourish us." Though I guess it's not really a hunt... but they hunt, so that's what they say. *She giggled and, when Master Roma offered a seat with a bow, Morgan returned the bow and took a seat. She coaxed Lokay over with the plate of bacon and he did not hesitate to scramble onto the table from her daddy's lap and sit next to the plate, eagerly pulling strips of bacon off the plate and feasting happily upon them.
She giggled at him, then looked up at Atlantis when he made some odd comment about being put in trouble, but she wasn't sure she quite understood what the ranger visit and the pool party had to do with him being in trouble, so needless to say, she was a little confused. She tried to ignore it or wait for an explanation as she took a sandwich, some fruits, and a glass of juice. She nibbled on the sandwich, savored the flavor, then nodded, smiling, deeming them a success.
Something Atlantis seemed to agree with, and she beamed, glad they had drawn the headmaster's approval.* Thanks! If I weren't a Jedi, I'd probably be a professional sandwich maker! Maybe. *It was an idea, though that meant making a lot of similar sandwiches... that part didn't sound too appealing. Yeah, it was probably for the better she just stuck to making sandwiches for herself and sometimes her friends and family.*

*After Michelle had given their agreement to join them at the pool party, Atlantis went on to reveal something that apparently not even the general public was aware of: Andros considered his alignment to be that of "Dark Jedi." Aerandir was admittedly a little taken aback at this, but Atlantis finished it by saying that he would only feel that way until he was able to atone for his "past crimes."
While Michelle nodded and agreed to keep playing with the mist when told, Aerandir analyzed this scenario in his mind some. While yes, the ability Atlantis mentioned was interesting, and Aerandir believed it could certainly be more than useful in this investigation, but his thoughts were on the brothers, one who served the light and his people, the other who it seemed possibly may used some more questionable topics, but nevertheless an apparent drive to atone for himself... When there was a lull in the conversation, he looked at his sister out of the corner of his eye.* Michelle, something seem familiar to you? *She looked up at him curiously briefly, then tilted her head thoughtfully.* Hmm... well, if you could track someone through the mist, maybe it's like shatterpoint, or psychometry, or even a combination— *Well, she'd caught onto that particular topic quick, and it was an impressive thought, though he wasn't sure if it was accurate. But it wasn't what he meant, so he politely cut her off.* No no, not the power, but Atlantis and Andros, and their dichotomy. *She looked at him curiously, then instant realization dawned on her expression and she grinned.* I already thought about that! I just didn't know if you wanted to say anything. *Aerandir smiled and nodded, then addressed Atlantis.* My brother, Ambar... well, clone, rather. He and I... our relationship sounds somewhat similar to you and your brother. At least recently; Ambar was created as a Sith, though eventually swayed away from his master when he learned he was being manipulated. Slowly his interests turned to good, wanting to atone for his own crimes, though his methods... questionable. Nowadays he's edging on the side of the light, but we'd accepted him long ago. *Aerandir leaned forward a little, a reassuring smile on his face.* To the point: I understand the situation clearly. All I need to hear is that you trust him, your brother, and that's good enough for me. *It was that time Master Roma and Morgan had returned with the food, juice and fruit slices along with Morgan's no doubt well-crafted sandwiches, and of course some bacon for Lokay. He stood up eagerly, sniffing, licking his jaws, until he was finally given the plate of bacon and he climbed up onto the table and went at it. Aerandir frowned and looked at Atlantis.* Er, is he fine on the table? We can move him if you prefer, he doesn't care where he eats just as long as he has his bacon. *He took some food himself as he waited for Atlantis's response while also listening to his words about being in trouble, meeting the rangers, etc. He smiled as he complimented Morgan's sandwich crafting, taking a bite himself and sounding satisfied.* Must agree, some of your best work as usual. *Michelle also took a bite of sandwich and grinned.* Mmm! Yep! You make the best sandwiches, Morgie!

Nodding, after an apologetic smile to him for whatever trouble it is that I may have inadvertently put him in, when Atlantis explains that he will introduce us to the Sector Ranger and detectives that are handling the investigation in the morning, I tell him, "It would be far more convenient for you, I am certain, if I pilot us from the academy here to meet you and the Ranger and detectives at the precinct, no? If you'll give me the address of the precinct, and the time you wish to have us all meet there, I'll see that we're all there." Assuming the matter is settled, sure that Atlantis will appreciate not needing to make a trip out to the academy only to turn right around and head back into the city, just as I am sure that Aerandir and I will appreciate having a speeder at our disposal rather than need to rely on others for transportation, I nibble on some fruit slices as while listening to Aerandir describe the similarities between himself and the clone he considers to be a brother to him and Atlantis and Andros; not having been aware that Aerandir had a clone, or, naturally, of what their relationship is like, I can see the parallels between what they have gone through and what Atlantis and Andros have faced.
Atlantis has probably been through enough for the day without making him recount all that has been learned thus far during the course of the investigation, and as our meeting with the Sector Ranger and detectives will almost certainly involve our being brought up to speed so far as the investigation is concerned, I feel that asking him to share his thoughts on the matter would be best left until the briefing; depending on what is learned, and what is suggested might be done based on what is known, I may decide to, as Atlantis suggests, attend the pool party before actively assuming a role in the investigation itself. From what has been released to the press it sounds as though there are not yet any suspects, though that could be misleading, which does not mean however that there are no leads that would best be explored with all possible haste and resources; something I am sure the briefing tomorrow will make more clear.
"For what it is worth, I tell Aerandir, I myself am also quite certain of Andros' innocence. I know him well enough to understand that, were he intent on eliminating the head of a criminal organization as has been suggested, he would do so openly and through the official channels his position as Vice Governor make available to him. He would have no need, nor is he possessed of the personality, to pursue the matter in such a furtive manner. The fact that two witnesses were left alive, while all the other individuals guarding the primary target were eliminated so . . . decisively, suggests to me that the witnesses were both left alive expressly to identify Andros to the investigators, and possibly even with the intent to create the level of mistrust in Umgul's government, law enforcement, and the Mist Order that can be seen in the media currently. Smiling ruefully, I note, Unfortunately, Andros' past, while not widely known, and his public demeanor make it easy for those that do not know him well to believe that he is at least capable of those things that he is being accused of."

Atlantis did not understand at first what Aerandir meant about Atlantis and his brother’s dichotomy and then it all made sense and the man explained soon enough. If there really had been someone who could definitely understand, it was Aerandir and his family. A fortunate coincidence indeed and Atlantis could also draw some parallels between their stories. Except for this case, Andros did not start as Sith, he was like Atlantis; a Jedi and got seduced to the Dark Side after a big misunderstanding that they now have settled of course ever since Andros had been tethering on that aforementioned side that he had expressed earlier. It really sounded that Ambar and Andros were similar, both indeed had questionable methods that much he knew about Andros but in those said questionable methods when seeing everything crystal clear, those weren’t so questionable anymore, at least so to speak.
“I do trust him, Aerandir,” Atlantis said sincerely, that was a no brainer at all. “With my life even.” The things he had said right now, he had never said it to his own brother at all, which was surprising Atlantis figured, but he did trust Andros with his life and he knew that he could always count on his brother to protect those that Atlantis might leave behind but those were really bad thoughts to have right now…
Atlantis took a deep breath, thankful for the distraction that Morgan was providing right now. He looked at her with a warm smile when she started a few series of clicks, trills and grumbles. He found that cute and his smile widened when she translated for all of them, he thanked her for that with a nod and chuckled softly as he noticed Lokay getting on the table to eat his bacon.
“No, no please,” Atlantis said with a warm smile looking at Lokay enjoying all of his bacon. “We are the only ones here, no need to move him, I assure you.” He looked at everyone else with a faint smile. “Unless it bothers you, then I will refer to your judgment, but for my case, I do not mind at all.”
Leaving all of them to take the decision concerning Lokay, Atlantis looked at Serrin when she suggested a few things to him, he smiled warmly and shook his head just to let her know that he was only joking, and he actually did not mind the trouble when it came to Crystal, and him potentially telling her that he let Serrin and Morgan take care of preparing the meal and all of that, but that was a story for another time he supposed. Right now he was more thinking about the suggestion that she would pilot to the precinct, that was a good idea and that way they would have their own transport too for whenever they would need it without a chaperone.
“The 23rd Precinct, you’ll find that on the city’s map that you can download via the holonet on your datapad.” Atlantis told her with a knowing smile but either way despite giving that indication, he still gave her the direction to that said precinct, one they would find easily and without trouble at all. Hearing Serrin say those things about Andros made him smile, yes his brother’s demeanor wasn’t helping at all, but then again Andros wasn’t the kind of guy to change because he was asked to change, Andros would clearly hate that, and he preferred to be that way for his own reasons. Everything that Serrin had said, those made sense, of course he had come to those conclusions too anyways…
This was going to be a long chase between the real culprit who he was relatively sure of knowing the identity, and the Jedi. He would have to continue to follow his own leads and he already knew where to actually start… But for now, he stayed his tongue about that entire matter and like he had previously said to Serrin, he would be keeping what he knew that deep to avoid swaying their opinions…
“Either way; a Force user that we do not know about really committed those crimes, lightsaber wounds. One that the doc at the morgue can tell you all about that, although the detectives and the Sector Rangers already have all of those details.”

*Morgan sat back in her chair, enjoying her latest masterpiece of a sandwich as she observed and listened to the Jedi speak. She wince a little and looked apologetic when her daddy asked if Lokay was okay on the table; she hadn't thought about that, and how rude it might have been to let him up on a stranger's table. But Atlantis said it was fine, so she smiled, albeit with a slight hint of apology still, and continued to eat and listen, grinning when her work was praised.
Apparently she had entered on a discussion about Andros; her daddy had apparently given the standpoint that if Atlantis trusted Andros, that was all he needed to here. She thought she had heard Ambar's name mentioned, and she wasn't entirely sure why that had been... unless, Andros was similar to Ambar? Yes, that seemed to be the case, based on Master Roma's reasoning that he would not use "furtive" methods. And Atlantis himself deemed that he trusted Andros with his own life.
She nibbled some fruit as she considered what was happening. She was trying to piece together some of her own thoughts, but she didn't have all the information and wondered just how much of that she had missed while in the kitchen. Frowning, she finally spoke up.* Wait... is Andros... er... a darksider? Isn't that kinda... bad? *Realizing how that sounded, perhaps as though she were condemning him for being a darksider, her eyes widened and she shook her head to clarify.* N-not that I'm saying he's bad! I mean, I heard Daddy talk about Ambar, and he was a bad darksider, but then he was one that wasn't bad, so... Um... what I mean is, wouldn't that make people not believe someone else did it? *She knew the common perception of darksiders, and knew that things wouldn't look good for Andros if this was the perception people had of him. She wasn't trying to be judgmental herself, she was just trying to figure some things out, things that were probably important...*

*The first thing Master Roma did was settle the transportation arrangements, volunteering to ferry all of them to the precinct the next morning, and received directions for such. Atlantis also assured Aerandir that Lokay was fine where he was on the table, so he nodded and glanced at Morgan, who seemed apologetic about it all. He gave her a reassuring smile before refocusing his attention to the other two Jedi.
Who both seemed equally trustworthy of Andros. Atlantis's own endorsement would have been enough, but Master Roma gave her own detailed standpoint, believing him one who would pursue the right methods, and wouldn't abuse his station nor his powers. Well, that was more than good enough for Aerandir to hear, and he gave a satisfied nod with a smile to match.
Morgan then spoke up, asking if Andros was a darksider. Right, she hadn't been there for that bit of information. She asked if that meant it was bad, something she quickly clarified by saying she thought she meant it was bad for his public perception, not that Andros was a bad guy himself, her too citing Ambar as a former darksider who hadn't been a bad guy at one point while still darksided. He chuckled and shook his head.* Well, while that's certainly possible, don't worry, Atlantis assured me that the people do not know of his alignment. *He was certainly glad she was speaking up in these discussions, however, so he gave her an encouraging nod. Atlantis then spoke of all he knew, or thought he knew: An unidentified Force user committed the known crimes via lightsaber wounds, and they would receive more details on that at the precinct. Aerandir nodded.* Who exactly were these people killed, or is that information best saved for when we meet with the rangers? *He was mostly concerned less with their identities and more with any potential connection they had with Andros, namely whether they were some kind of rival or opponent, or affiliated with such. Motivation was key in all this, of course...*

Nodding when Atlantis provides the number of the precinct where we will be meeting the Rangers and UPD detectives, I rest my chin atop the knuckles of my hand while listening to Atlantis provide a rather sparse description of the culprit believed to be behind the plot, which amounts only to knowing the culprit is an unknown Force user; a rather broad description that will make narrowing the potential list of suspects down out first priority, assuming that the investigating team has not already done so. Morgan's question about whether or not the fact Andors considers himself a Dark Jedi is common knowledge is an insightful one, especially when she explains her reasoning for having posed the question; public perception, like it or not, will be a factor in the plot against Andros, and whatever other targets that might also extend beyond him, after all, as even should an investigation clear him beyond the shadow of a doubt, there will likely always be those that believe any findings were fabricated to falsely exonerate him. Inclining my head in a respectful nod towards Morgan to convey I am impressed by her question, I shake my head with a frown when Aerandir suggests that it is fortunate that the public do not know of Andros' alignment, counter proposing that, "Actually, I fear it may ultimately be more harmful that the public has no knowledge of Andros' alignment in this instance. In the absence of any clear knowledge regarding his alignment, his detractors are free to speculate and likely conclude the worst possible scenario; a fact that our culprit may have counted upon when choosing him as a target. Glancing at Atlantis, I shrug and reluctantly explain, Keeping truths, however uncomfortable, hidden is not always the wisest course I've found. The secrecy surrounding Andros' past and his alignment, in this case, is something the culprit either benefits from unknowingly, or knows they can exploit as it does little to foster a sense of trust in the general public to have a public figure's past be hidden from view. There is little that can be done at this point, and I may simply be pessimistic about the possible effects of having Andros' past not be a matter of public record may have, and so I move on to Aerandir's question about the victims, informing him, The UPD believes the primary victim was the head of a large criminal organization, and that the other victims were his associates or henchmen. As there was some suggestion that the UPD might have been trying to cast an unflattering light on the victims to lessen the gravity of the accusations being made against Andros, I ask Atlantis, Is there any indication that the victims were not, in fact, criminals as the UPD believes?" The public might find it easy to believe Andros would act against criminals, but I highly doubt they would believe he would target innocents, and so I suspect that Atlantis will confirm the UPD's findings, though I also know it is just as likely he will leave it to the Rangers and detectives to make their case to Aerandir, his apprentices, and me, given that he seems intent on influencing our opinions regarding the case as little as possible; a course of action that I would not take in his place as it hinders working in concert with one another to not share all of our thoughts and opinions, but as I suspect his motivations are to avoid any hint of influencing the investigation in light of the accusations being made in the media about his intent to cover for Andros, I can respect his decision even if I do not agree it is the wisest course of action.

Atlantis had been munching on his sandwich while recalling everything else he had been told by the coroner, Nic Claus, that would be valuable to the Jedi herewith present here, he knew that he could and probably should raise those findings from the doctor and perhaps even speak about those but as things went, currently Atlantis was more listening to the questions he was asked; to the statements being made whether it was by Morgan, Aerandir and Serrin.
He had that faint smile when Morgan started to clarify her question, quite honestly considering that she had not been here when he and Aerandir along with Michelle talked about it, he wasn’t faulting Morgan for her question, as after all she too needed to be brought up to speed, or be explained a few details she might have missed. Aerandir field her on that matter and Atlantis inclined his head gratefully before glancing at Serrin. As all things went, she did have a point about the population’s lack of knowledge about his brother’s alignment but like everything else, Atlantis wasn’t about to justify his brother’s decision to keep that side of him hidden as that had not been Atlantis’ call to make, at all.
“Yes,” Atlantis started to say as he momentarily closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “I do understand what you mean and I also know what consequences one will have to face sooner or later for hiding some truths. But,” Atlantis wasn’t defending nor putting at fault anyone at all in this, it was just that perhaps no one had ever considered the fact that Andros had to step up due to Raan needing to take care some business of his own. “Andros always tried to keep his media coverage to the strictest minimum, while he tried to get a few things in motion. But I digress, that isn’t what is important right now.”
Atlantis rubbed the root of his nose momentarily for he knew that he was definitely going in a different direction there, thankfully though he had that clarity to realize it, but for how long would that last? He did not know, for now he just decided to field in the question more or less the best he could without influencing the whole thing at all, therefore he decided to just remain on facts.
Considering that Aerandir’s question had been answered by Serrin herself, he indicated that she had that correct indeed but as for the question Serrin asked him, Atlantis just looked at her, for he couldn’t say with certainty about that matter, “That is a question you will have to ask UPD,” Atlantis informed her with an apologetic smile, as for all things on this planet, the Mist Order and the civilian security had that distinctive separation of powers where they operated. It was the deal he had bartered with Raan and Andros a while ago, and that was just fine by him he guessed.
“The Mist Order isn’t privy to non-Force issues on this planet at all, unless we are called in to assist, but that has never happened in the past,” It also wasn’t because Atlantis did not want to help out the law enforcement on this planet, but it was mainly due to the fact that he had preferred to not step on anyone’s toes and he also preferred to actually try and distance himself more or less with some issues as for one, he did not want people to perceive that his brother, the current Vice-Governor of this planet, was abusing of his position so to speak and could always call on the Order on this planet to deal with issues, it wasn’t like that at all. “Although, if you do wish to know more, I’d encourage you to check with Ljiljana Jankovic,” Atlantis looked at the Calmcacil as a whole to include them to that statement also. “If there is one thing the Attorney General of this planet can get it’s the closed case files/ trials of whomever.”
It wasn’t that Atlantis was saying point blank that the criminal mastermind was in fact a criminal but if there had been charges against him in the past, then that would have been on record, plus Atlantis was certain that the detectives could field the Jedi in on Tokla Sike. Atlantis though could start to field them in with a few findings that he had recalled a moment ago.
“Right before I forget, so that you won’t need to spread out too much the next morning,” Rubbing the back of his neck and closing his eyes briefly to recall everything and to will his thoughts to be brought forth into words, Atlantis looked at everyone and no one in particular. “When I got called on the scene, I had managed to pick up a trail in the mist, I couldn’t exactly tell if it was a man or a woman due to the fact that it looked like he or she was wearing something that make it impossible to determine to begin with and I had asked Mace to reconstruct the two dimensional imprint the person left in the mist with the type of cloth he or she was wearing.” How Mace had reconstructed that, it was something he could field out later when asked about it, right now he just didn’t want to lose that proverbial Ariadne’s thread for now.
“Managed to track it down to the city center and an ATM camera caught the perp’s silhouette, nothing conclusive but just a 5’5” person wearing a black hooded cloath, but then we went to see the coroner at the morgue, he told us,” By that he meant himself of course, one of the detectives and one of the rangers. “That the killer is left handed and most likely a Makashi user. Along with that, the hilt did leave an indentation on the victim’s chest, some sort of knuckle guard at the end of the hilt,” That was considerably useless to him, at least to have a hilt shaped that way and it was very unconventional for any Force sensitives to have a hilt such way, “Also apparently, the crystal in the lightsaber chamber is a synthetic one, according to the doc, and he based that on the depth of the tissue burn.”
Atlantis might have missed a few things there, but he was quite certain that he had given the gist of everything and if he had forgotten a few other tidbits, everyone would have to forgive him for that as he was actually quite exhausted…
