I will start off by saying yes.....I'm a Kushiban. Secondly, this is not my first character. Most of you know me all on this site, at least the old timers will anyway. I have been gone for a few months because of complications with life and muse and all the usual excuses I wanted to do something entirely different, seeing as I'm usually the guy who writes the odd stuff, and I haven't really seen a Kushiban before, although I did write as one on 1.0 for a bit, and wanted a fresh start. I laid out the basic background, even left it open ended because I wanted to find a place to put Tantin in the Universe. I can be on almost every single day. Although I have work. In fact I'm doing this right before work. I'm just trying to find Tantin either an individual Jedi Master, or an Academy. I know the Corellians are great writers and all, blah blah blah. I've been here long enough to know, lol. But wanted to see if anyone else wanted to pitch me ideas or something.

Well first of all Welcome back (since I may or may not know you and all that). Second as much as I love corellia (although my post history might not show that) we are trying to get a stead jedi group on Coruscant so that would probably be a great place to start out working with.

Well I'm trying to get a classic Master/Padawan thing. It's been forever since I've written as a Jedi, so I thought I'd start completely from the beginning and slowly get back into it.
So who exactly is all on Coruscant?

Well last I looked (which was five days ago since I haven't had a chance to look there yet after holiday fun time) all of the order's masters were there, although we are shortly (or already have) left on various tasks involving the mando war. If you are looking for a master/padawan thing I may be able to help you, it has been a little bit since I've had an apprentice, although It'll be a bit of an adjustment working around a small furry apprentice. It does sound interesting though.

I'm game if you think you're up to the task. But be aware that I'm looking for something long term. I plan on this character growing up and being awesome. You know...the dream.

Honestly I've always preferred long term apprentices. I will warn you however I likely won't be posting eight times a day or anything like that, I am active although I can be a bit slow so if you're okay with that than I'd be more than happy to train you.

I do not mind not being super-active. I'm a bit rusty and want to slowly get back into the swing of things. And I have work and stuff too...and sleep. Fabulous sleep. Just please don't disappear for weeks on end.
So....When do you want to get this party started? And I think I've written with you briefly before, but it was only a few posts, I believe. Trying to remember your style.

While I have disappeared for weeks at a time from time to time I have never done so when I had an apprentice (at least I don't believe I have) I promise I'll let you know before that happens if I have to leave for an extended period of time.
As for my style... well I don't know if I really have one, unless just going with the flow is considered a style. At the moment I'm about to head off to Kuat for the mando war thing and all that so I won't exactly be picking up a padawan there, but if you would like to do a split timeline we can set something before or after or whatever. Alternatively you could show up on Corellia and I can pick you as an apprentice after the battle.

Thank you for the courtesy in advance.
Either way is fine, though I have not really had time to poke around and see what all has been planned regarding the War and everything, and I'm guessing that if I went for the Corellia option I'd have to wait until the entire war is pretty much over.
So....uhm......I'll leave it up to you, but I'm kinda leaning towards alternate time-line.

Well the entire war is pretty much over after the battle of Kuat, and I wouldn't leave you completely hanging, we could start some NPC training on Corellia until Mike returns and takes him as his apprentice, which would be a little easier than trying to work you into the timeline, but if you don't want to wait I can make that happen too.

Nah that's okay. Didn't realize the Mando War was coming to a close. That's alright with me. Just have to decide going about the whole Corellia thing. Let's assume that Mike was contacted by Tantin's family, as I've semi-established in my history when I wrote they researched places and people to send him (unless you want to change something around which I really don't mind if you have a better idea), but they sent him early, despite the fact there was a war raging on. This would cause the empty gap in which there would be NPC training, and still kinda make sense....at least in my head.
And while I'm not really one for comedy in a storyline very often, I kind of want to put in that Mike was unaware that his new potential apprentice was a Kushiban. Makes for a good awkward meeting when the war come to an end.

Well I for one enjoy comedy quite a bit so to be honest that wasn't what I had in mind exactly but that world out even better.

Well I enjoy comedy in a story but too much tends to make it forced to me.
What did you have in mind? I was just brainstorming.

I was just thinking that you showed up as a learner, got some NPC instruction from some instructors and then when Mike comes back to Corellia after Kuat he picks you as his apprentice, nothing real fancy.

Weeeeell.......Back to this thread again.
Are there any Jedi who might be on a tad bit more often so that I can get this character started at least?

Former, eh? I'm interested, for the sake of me needing to write really badly. lol.
How would training work out?

To clarify, she's former due to her personal choice to no longer serve the Order. Hesper left the Order because she grew disenchanted with what the Order had become. Icly, she's just as light-sided as a regular Jedi.
Oh, as for training, where would you like to do it?
Would you like it on a planet or in the Journal?

mmmm.... someone more close to my own size. A Kushiban would make for an interesting apprentice to an Ewok Master (plus being on the CoFK means a bit of travel and activity).
