A wild new character appears!
Hello JvS
I'm new here and I'd like to jump in as soon as possible with whatever's happening here. My character is fairly generic but I'm hoping to get some mileage out of him.
Apparently roleplaying is supposed to be a great form of occupational therapy and according to my friend, this is supposed to be a pretty solid site to get that done.
Help out a friend of a friend?

There are plenty of folks willing to help you out; you've just got to know vaguely what you want to do.
So, since I can't view your profile from my phone, would you mind giving a brief overview of what you have in mind? Dark side, light side, no side, ect?

My character is an assassin that believes that he's always being watched and he doesn't like it. A gun for hire, but only for the good guys.
I like good stories, but I'm used to being the only one in them.

Fair enough. Paranoid assassin with a preference for lightsiders. That rules me and mine out.
Anyone else?

Wait!
Aren't you supposed to be all darkside and tempt me with easy money and women?

I'm not dark side. In fact, I'm not any side. The Force is the Force, and any distinctions imposed on it are silly.
That said, you would be hard pressed to call myself or my writing partner "good guys." She's more or less a genocidal mad scientist and all around prickly person, whereas I'm a Robot Space Ninja.

When do I begin?
I wouldn't mind helping you guys see the error of your ways, and so on...

Tell you what: let everyone else have a say. It would be a shame to make a decision without weighing all of your options, and if none of them suit your fancy, we'll see where we can work you in.

Okay, okay. Gotcha.
Are there any better offers than a genocidal Space Ninja Robot?

Hmm, an assassin but only for the good guys? Interesting. ^_^ You might want to talk to the Galactic Republic, for starters.
But how does your character determine who the good guys are? Could someone who is more of a neutral (or even a criminal or villain) convince your character to kill for them, with the right persuasion or deception?

One persons idea of good is different than another persons. At the time I bet the Nazis didn't consider themselves evil. Nor do we of the Empire.
Neither evil or good we skirt that fine line where you better the galaxy through questionable means. That being said, if your looking to hunt down some bad guys to kill I suggest taking bounties that were posted by the republic guys until someone wrangles you in.

Life is shades of grey, Xeonon, but you've got to draw a line SOME where, sometimes. lmao

George, sign on with Ander and try to assassinate my character. You won't get to kill him, but it will be cool RP and stuff and you will be serving the "good guys" I suppose

Thank you, thank you all for the welcome. It's nice to be here and all.
Sorry for the competition Alpharius. Sorry. I'll do my best to outshine you.
Liya, good question. If you find out how to tell the good guys from the bad, let me know, alright?
Nazis are never good examples, Xeonon. Thing'll go south from there if you're not careful...
I love volunary assissinations. But that defeats the purpose, Mr Nase.
Only if your a paint seller, Mr Panno.

Welcome to JvS, from your friendly neighborhood Tusken Raider.
I can agree this is probably way better than any other form of therapy, from personal experience, so you're friend is awesome for recommending this site to help you deal with anything in your head. It works wonders to put all your frustrations, hopes, and dreams into words, hidden in a layer beneath what you write.
I have a lot of characters out there, and I will gladly offer them to help you get started. Here are some questions to help us narrow down the list.
Do you need a partner, perhaps a mechanic or gunsmith, or tech expert, that is a buddy but takes a support role?
How do you feel about hyperactive light sided midgets?
What about a non-force gun, alcoholic merc?
How do you feel about the movie Flubber with Robin Williams?
How spiritual is your character? If not very spiritual, how does he feel about sand and hooting?
I'm offering characters as more of a partnership or helper, having no one to really "whack" or "hit", but I've been around a while, and think most of my characters would be good dynamic duo characters for you.

Sand and hooting sounds like fun. And what sounds like even more fun is the duo thing...
