First off, welcome to JvS. We're an odd bunch, but we like new faces well enough.

The primary Sith faction at the moment is the Dark Tide, based out if Kuat. They and the Mandalorians are currently beating ten shades of shit out of each other, but that should be done in a few days.

Hmm. Hard to say. Dark Jedi don't have any real sort of organization on here as far as I know, but I'm often wrong about that sort if thing.

Sith is the ultimate goal, Dark Jedi is just the starting line. I wanted to start in one of the temples and go from there? Not entirely sure as to how though.

If it doesn't work, then I can figure something out.

That's is a good direction. I wanted to start outside my what I knew, Sith and Jedi, but I see that I don't know much. I'll read up on what you've given and I will do this on a different character.

That ain't anything to worry about. Our player base isn't as large as it used to be, but it's still pretty diverse. Pomposity won't count against you, all things considered.

The Sith as a group are, oddly enough, pretty accepting as well. They're a bunch of assholes IC, which is how it should be, but mostly it's a good group of people.

How exactly does one begin as a Sith? Do I start as a student, or can I start as a Sith Lord? Are there any rules on Force Powers or is it all based on probability?

We're pretty easygoing here. The basic rule is balance. Starting off, if you want to be powerful in one particular area, make yourself weak in another. Or balance everything out.

I suppose we should also point out the difference between open and closed RP, as it relates to the site. In open RP, the site rules are assumed to apply. Standard limitations on powers, ships, and weaponry are in play, and generally speaking, anyone can get involved at any time, within reason. In closed RP, anything goes, so long as all writers agree. The admins absolutely won't get involved unless someone files an infraction report.
