A wise man who has achieved master-level knowledge of the force... at least, according to the local university. Maintained a 3.7 GPA, too.
Chazz Orcuul is a scholar of Force-user philosophy, about to begin a tour of the galaxy seeking to learn just what it is the universe's hand-picked super-beings believe in these days. In order to cut through the outdated information and outright propaganda, he'll be attempting to contact the practitioners of various traditions directly.
Who I'd like to rp with-
Force-users interested in sharing their philosophies. Force-users not interested in sharing their philosophies. Playing out a scene where Chazz tries (successfully or not) to coax out some answers could be fun. Spacers looking to take on passengers. He'll pay of course, though his research grant isn't huge. Anyone looking to gain access to the knowledge he already has, whether diplomatically or violently. Particularly later on he might know some useful stuff. Force-sensitives unsure of where to go for training. Could make a good temporary travelling companion until they find a master. Anyone who can think of another reason they might want to meet Chazz.
This will be my first character in a long time, and I'm looking forward to it. Site looks different but the community is somewhat recognizable. Obvious destinations so far seem to be Kuat for the Sith and Correllia for the Jedi. There seems to be some nightsister activity, so maybe Dathomir. I also hear of Imperial Nights in the Deep Core, though Chazz might not know about them IC.
One last request- as part of my backstory, can anyone think of a planet that voluntarily switched sides between warring Sith and Jedi factions? Doesn't have to be recent.
Looking forward to writing with you all.

If you find yourself on Dressel in the near future, I'll be glad to sit down for a chat.
I can't think of any planets that have changed hands recently, but there are bound to be some traditionally affiliated with one order in canon that ended up on the other side here.

feel free to drop by Honoghr, I am sure Chazz would find Zion as an interesting intellectual.

I appreciate the quick replies, looks like this character concept is going to be pretty well received, even if it is a hit of an oddball. Got a bit of a bio up, though some things are left vague until I choose a homeworld.
I've been looking at the planatary database, Dressel seems like it could be a good place to start, or a good place to visit when I decide Chazz needs a new toy. Plus, Eralam is some race I've never heard of, so that should be interesting.
Honoghr sounds great, Chazz's wife Alyssa is a doctor, she might like to visit. Do you think Zion could spare some time on a school vacation week, make it a family trip?
Yavin seems like a good candidate for a long-term stay, maybe spend a few weeks observing what it's like to live and train as a Jedi, if non-force characters are allowed to roam the temple.

Nightsister here, I am always open for RP and I would very much not want to share my force philosophy.

Former ruler of the Imperial Knights here: I am willing to have you meet up with Panno my current iteration of an Imp Knight. Master Armourer he has some knowledge he won't give up but you can try as well as the usual stuff you can ask.

Well, Yavin's out, and I'd like to leave the family trip until a bit later. Ditto for stalking the scary Twi'lek.
That leaves Dressel, which seems a solid starting location. I'll PM Eralam with my thoughts to avoid cluttering what I hope will be an active meet'n'greet thread for a couple more days. Chazz still needs an appearance and a homeworld, but he could be good to go as early as tomorrow. For now, to bed.
Xeonon, where might I find Panno if he and Chazz were to chat?

You could come to Tatooine and learn about the Shamans of a proud people, and their views on the Force.

It's a date, Nartaga.
Having consulted the galaxy map, I think a reasonable timeline would be visiting Dressel for a nice chat to ease me into things, then dialing it up a notch with a visit to the isolated Tusken shamans. After that a trip to the RDMC would give me a chance to play around with my npcs and another side of Chazz's life. Back to the trenches to find the Witches of Dathomir, then perhaps a relaxing stay at the Yavin temple, maybe try to get a bit of a group rp going. Obviously things could be switched around bit to accommodate peoples schedules, but that's a nice rough outline of a plan.

Why can't I have both? Sounds like two interviews on Tatooine for the price of one ticket.
On an unrelated note, nice to see another Bostonian on the forums. I'm in Dorchester myself.

Check out either Coruscant or Corellia for the Jedi.

He is currently on Felucia but it won't be hard to find him on Aaragu in the deep core.

Sure, OOC I'm always up for an RP. IC Jud is always up for philosophing, and picking brains. As for finding the elusive sith... Well IC, good luck. The temple is not on the map or known beyond a handful of RPers. But, you're a scholar, so, you could find a way. Possibly. I lived 500 ft from ashmont station for two yrs or so. Lived throughout Btown for the good part of 13 yrs. Alston, Brighton, southie, back bay, JP, Cambridge (but it's a silly place) but, yup, first time seeing a Bostonian in here since frisky left.

I may find my way there Jud.
As for those of you in the Core, it'll probably be a while since I have several invitations in the Outer Rim to go through. I'll keep referring to this thread as a reference though, so once I'm in the neighborhood I'll be sure to RSVP and see if you're still up for a chat.
