So I've been RPing the reconstruction of the Chiss Ascendancy, pretty much by myself, and would like to get acquainted with the galaxy at large.
I'd kind of planned on doing a tour of major capitols, and spending a few days, IC, at each place. But to do that I need to know if everyone is amiable to having a random RPer drop by for an unannounced social visit. The purpose of the visit is two fold. Renan is coming to get acquainted with the powers of the galaxy, and if they seem threatening, a small team of spies can get left behind to insert themselves into the powerhouse and then keep the Ascendancy updated on it's various strengths and weaknesses. That part is up to the group I'm with at the time, so it's not a required part of the SL.
So if you're willing to host a Chiss, former administrator of Csillia, and his meager retinue please respond, either here or via PM. I will try to PM the IC leaders I know of to get permissions that way, but I'm afraid I'll miss someone, thus this little post.
So, any takers for doing a bit Foreign policy RP?

eralam: an Exchange might be diffcult, since the ship Renan will be using will contain Renan, two body gaurds, an administrative assistant, the chiss crew, and then rest of the births will be full of spies who will be offloaded in quartets.... I guess you can always stow away... Shards.... nvm, just give Renan a shard without telling him what it is. rofl, oh my.... that would be epic.... the most useful paperweight ever! hahaha! >.< I'll be there. Atia: Do you have a wide sphere of influence? Renan isn't so much seeking out governments as powers, if you have significant influence in the galaxy or even a particular faction, He'll be willing to stop by for a visit.

Well, not known influence, besides criminal influence maybe.
I have a bunch of agents spread out in various factions and try to keep to an IC low profile with Atia and Juvex.
With Seleevan and Vortex, I kinda keep to being loud and proud. Like the song. But the Vor Warhost is not a large power, more like a fist you dont want coming your way. But, looks like Vortex just became a Republic world.

Ummm. I claim about 15 percent of my various forces are Chiss volunteers.
Is this a problem.

Not a problem at all, in the not to distant past the chiss had a major civil war, and many chiss fled to the known regions. So we can most of them found employment with you.  And if you just want more chiss employees, you're welcome to send a recruiter or two to Csilla. |

I'm actually quite good at making the dead look presentable for their loved ones. It was my job for a few years.

Order and a clear chain of command are highly prized in chiss culture, but again you're getting a substantial number of refugees, skilled yes, but refugees none the less. The only thing that is, so far as I can see, unthinkable taboo for a chiss is to voluntarily bring about the destruction of their own family. As long as their family/house is safe, being cared for, and allowed to grow and live as free beings, chiss will be happy to take most any job.
That said, the chiss body I will be representing will have no desire to participate in the ongoing conflict in any way shape or form, do to their own recent history, that aside, they hope to at least begin preliminary discussions for NAP/Mutual Trade agreements with any and all willing participants of this RP.
Thank you Jade for the invetation, I may stop by towards the end of my little tour.

Korina I'm sure we can find some way to tie you into the SL if you're looking for something to do. eralam The chiss are actually an anti-droid society, canonically and I'd like to preserve that aspect, so you might have to use an XRD (x = sentient species of your choice, though choosing chiss could get dicey).
