The planet of Kuat had been hammered by the fist of Mandalorian aggression. The Warlord Taung H'rel had brought death and destruction with him to Kuat and the battle had been bloody indeed. However the Mandalorian warmachine had been defeated and their crusade against those who weilded the Force had been brought to an end. Taung himself was rumoured to be among the casualties, they would probably never find the body. However a great many other people wished to find a great many things in orbit above Kuat. There were many large debris fields created by the capital ships destroyed in the battle. One such person was Arkan Bloodrage.Far from the planet the Carrack-class light cruiser, The Cutlass, exited hyperspace in a rather unusual place. The planet and her ringed shipyard was just a speck in the distance, the distance necessary for the deception. The pirate ship would be heading closer to one of the best defended planets in the galaxy, somewhere a fugitive such as himself would not wish to be caught. The Cutlass had exited hyperspace very early in order to circumvent many of the defences the planet had arrayed at the usual exit points. Arkan had arranged ships to be stolen from this very planet and knew much about the defence layout. The cruiser now had a view of the planet, unobstructed by mines and defence stations.
Arkan was on the bridge, supervising the bridge crew as they powered down the ship. Everything except life support and passive sensors were being powered down and even those two systems would be running on their lowest possible setting. It would be a cold trip as the heaters were turned to frost guard mode, designed only to keep the ships glass from frosting or metal from turning too brittle when moored up un-crewed. The guidance computer aligned the ship on a course for the planet and fired a burst from the engines. It was down to thrusters for the rest of the trip, until they reached their mark.
The battle of Kuat had concluded only three days before and Arkan had gambled on two things. One, the defence force had not cleared up all the wreckage yet. Two, the defence force would be too distracted by the clear up to notice the Cutlass salvaging from the outer most debris fields.
Two hours past as the ship became colder and colder but the planet grew larger and larger in the view screen. The Captain paced the bridge to keep warm, not difficult since his armour did contain life support systems, though he had powered those down as well. Even all the personal blasters and other small electrical devices had been powered down for the trip, the Captain seriously did not want to be caught.
There was indeed a large debris field that was orbiting the planet at about a distance of forty thousand kilometres above the surface in a polar arc. This was perfect and the Cutlass had begun to adjust it's course to intercept the debris field. Using chemical thrusters only drastically reduced the chances of being detected on sensors and was a very crude way to align with the largest piece of debris. The ship glided into the debris field and latched onto the side of what used to be a Mandalorian warship. The sound of the docking clamps and boarding harpoons sounded eerie in the complete silence of the ship but it was the sweetest sound the Captain could possibly hear. He looked at the sensor station and glared at the operator through his mask, he had one of the most important jobs, to warm the crew if the defence forces got wind of what they were doing and began to move against them. Arkan stood at the rear of the bridge, waiting for his team to arrive.

She stepped back onto the bridge, dreadlocked and mohawked hair moving wildly in the thinned atmosphere. Eyes turned to feast on the sight of her as she moved with feline grace onto the flight deck. Her motions and demeanor could veer from unbridled sexuality to deadly efficiency in a heartbeat, and at this moment, it was the former she exuded. Furs and skins covered what they absolutely had to, and left enough to the imagination that several eyes followed her intently, undressing her as she moved toward Arkan, still several paces distant.
A crewmember with more testosterone than grey-matter commented to his partner under his breath -- something akin to '...glad it's cold in here, know what I mean?' -- as Nux passed, and there was a flash of pure hatred in her eyes as she became a weapon in a fraction of a heartbeat. Vaulting off the nearest console, never veering from her path toward Arkan, she came down on the shocked crewmember with knee, followed by right fist, followed immediately with a vicious pistol-whip from the left hand, all driven by the speed and power of her descent. Landing in a practiced crouch, she straightened to stand over the bloodied Dathomirian, holstering her blaster once more. She wasted no further time on the being, and carried on, uninterrupted in her path toward the Bloodrage pirate himself.
Arriving at the Holotable, Nux stood close by his side, savoring his warmth.
Kuat, Arkan? What takes your interest here, M'lord?

The Captain turned as he heard the bridge door open and watched his newest edition make her way towards him. He also heard the comment made by one of his bridge crew, it reminded me of when he had Fia aboard. Nux certainly was a wild one and her dress sense was unlike anything the crew had seen in a long time and Arkan had to make a conscious effort not to stare. However he was glad to be looking in her direction during her little violent outburst, it amused Arkan quite a bit. He did not discourage violence between the crew, it was a healthy way of keeping them battle ready and a way to solve their differences. The only rule he did have was that no-one on the crew should be injured in a way that would damage their battle potential. He once had to eject a Reaver from an airlock because he severed another one's leg. He was glad Nux didn't go that far and it looked like the pirate had learned his lesson. Arkan's mask turned back towards the holo-table as Nux posed her question.
"Firstly, it's Captain. My brother was the Lord and I fought long and hard for control of the crew from him. Secondly, there was recently a very large battle in orbit between some very large and powerful battleships, one of which we have just latched onto. You see the Mandalorians take into battle large quantities of three things, stubbornness, Mandalorian iron and assault concussion missiles. Now I do not desire the first but the second and third interest me a great deal. Mandalorian is possibly the hardest substance in the galaxy and for any non-Mandalorian to own even a small amount is almost unheard of. My brother stole a ship from them covered in the stuff and it was a devil to even scratch. Their assault concussion missiles are some of the largest and most powerful projectiles ever made and almost unattainable for someone of my, occupation. I hope to salvage quite a bit of both from this ship and hopefully avoid the authorities. That means entering the cold dead of space, you might need something more, air-tight to wear."
Arkan could almost hear the sighs of the bridge crew at the thought of Nux putting ON clothes and he himself was a little disappointed but this was the mission. The Captain valued the potential salvage over viewing pleasure.

She listened to him lay out the mission before them, licking her lips at the mention of the bes'kar. Looking out the bridge viewports, she looked at the hulk of the dead warship they were attached to, took in the damage, the sections of the ship that had vented into the vacuum, took note of the general condition. The ship seemed to have a measure of power, though certainly not all systems were online. She nodded, and faced the Captain. There was something behind her eyes for a brief moment, something that made Arkan's heart race... and was replaced by a knowing smirk.
I'll be at the boarding ramp. Will you be coming, Captain?

Arkan turned to face the door and began to walk towards it. He was not walking towards the usual bridge exit but the turbolift door not too far away from it. He knew that the ship had docked in such a way and that the airlock now attached to the hull of the dead ship was fourteen decks below them.
"I shall meet you there."
He said as the lift doors opened. The captain quickly pressed the close door button and then the floor he wanted, it was a test. Either Nux rushed across the bridge and made it into the lift, showing agility or was shut out of the lift in which case she would have to navigate down fourteen decks to the access hatch, a test of overall speed and stamina. The Echani was pleased with his little test.
Down near the access hatch Nux and the Captain would find two teams of five armoured pirates, each within their own sealed set of armour. The spikes on their armour were almost as deadly as the blaster carbines they carried, designed for close quarter ship combat. One team was made up of standard Bloodrage Reavers while the other was comprised of elite Black Guard, the difference being shown in their armour. Standing quite far away from both of those teams was a large band of slaves being corralled by three slavers. They were to be released into the ship to steal anything of value. They too worn sealed space suits but these were unarmoured and fitted with tracking devices and explosives. Once a preliminary sweep of the ship had been conducted the slaves would be released and whoever came back with the most valuable item would be rewarded. However the slave with the least valuable item would be left on the hulk of a ship, harsh but effective.

She stood still as he walked to the lift, watched him as he selected the level, a smile etched on his face as the sliver of light from inside the turbolift lessened and was finally cut off by the motion of the door. As soon as the door closed and he could no longer see her, she was in motion, off the bridge and down the connecting hall in the blink of an eye. The general crew turbolift, airlock and flight deck escape pods were directly aft of the bridge, and Nux neither hesitated nor paused in her actions. Running full-tilt out of the bridge, she shouldered a crewman aside who stood in her way, who fell side-long against a row of terminals, spilling a mug of caf on himself and cursing loudly at the resulting hot liquid searing his thighs. She went straight for the haz-mat locker, elbowing the emerg seal, shattering the lexan covering, and tore a vac mask from the small box, as well as a 50 yard monofil tether.
Without breaking stride, the warrior punched the airlock emerg decompress button, shattering the "do not use except in emergency" seal, and red flashing lights filled the cabin. When the startled crew member realized what Nux was doing, he scrambled to his feet and bolted to the bridge, just making it through the compartment bulkhead as the blast door was sealed. A short countdown began from five, as Nux clipped off the tether from her belt on one end to a nearby support beam on the other. Fixing the vac mask over her mouth and nose, she took a deep breath of the three-minute supply, and closed her eyes.
The explosive decompression shot her backward out of the airlock like a gunshot. Instead of the flailing of a victim or a piece of refuse being sent out the airlock, Nux flipped like a gymnast, using the decompression as a spring-board. She shot across the expanse of cold emptiness, completing a full flip end-over-end and coming into contact with the derelict hull feet-first, absorbing the shock into her knees, and springing back toward the umbilical several decks below. The cold was numbing, and if she had miscalculated, it could mean frostbite, and almost certain death. But her aim had been true.
A mere twenty-five seconds after leaving the bridge, she arrived at the exterior airlock hatch of the umbilical connecting the two ships, grabbing hold of the exterior airlock connecting ring to slow her momentum. Checking through the airlock transparisteel to make sure it was empty, Nux clipped off her tether and hit the emerg entry button, and the hatch slid upward. Sliding inside, she hit the same button on the interior wall, and the hatch slid closed, flushing the airlock with life-giving oxygen. Only when the atmo had equalized, did she remove the vac mask. Stepping to the interior airlock hatch, she pressed the open keypad, and the airlock opened to reveal the access hatch compartment, and a group of armored pirates who were obviously not expecting anyone to approach from a sealed exterior airlock, as ten quizzical expressions turned to take in the wild-maned woman.
Stepping out into the compartment, she stepped toward the turbolift, which opened moments later, revealing Arkan. She wanted to rip his armor off and have her way with him, then and there, but satisfied herself by casting the vac mask carelessly aside, and looking him in the eye, slightly out of breath.
What have you got in a size two?

Arkan was very pleasantly surprised to see Nux had beaten him on the way down, she might be worth keeping around after this job. He began walking over towards the armoured boarding teams, moving closely past Nux, before stopping just behind her.
"Ike, get her a decent bodyglove and then get her tight fitting suit. We don't want your flexibility inhibited, do we?"
The Captain addressed one of the quartermasters of the ship who was currently attending to the slaves collars. Quickly dismissing the slave, Ike rushed off into the neighbouring compartment to find the items requested. Arkan paced towards the armed pirates as they squared their equipment away and began to stand to a sort of attention. Even though the pirates were not really organised as a military operation, many of the recruits were ex-mercenary or ex-military types who had been on the wrong end of a pirate raid. Many of these recruits were drowning out the majority Echani pirates.
Ike quickly emerged from the other cargo bay with an arm full of bodygloves and spacesuits. He rushed over to Nux and dumped three bodygloves and four spacesuits in from of the warrior. The crew had not had time to prepare a suit that fitted Nux's form but she was not the first female to have been on the ship. The suits before her had been used by past crew members but would all be a bit small for Nux. However if she wanted to continue on the mission she would have to squeeze into one of them. Arkan would probably have a proper suit made with part of the profits from this trip.

The warrior stood, poised as if ready for attack, as Ike dropped the suits at her feet, and then stood by to see what she would choose -- a little too close for her liking, apparently, as the next move the lithe fighter made was to feint a lunge at the quartermaster, who stepped back a pace. There was no true malice in the move. It was obvious she just wanted him out of her personal space. Casting her gaze on the pile of gear, she picked one at random and picked it up, checking the suit for integrity. Apparently satisfied, the warrior immediately unhooked the furs around her neck, and pulled the form-fitted and stitched Hanadak, Wampa and Nexu skins off her shoulder, letting her entire garb fall to the deck. A dozen pairs of eyes took in the young woman in the altogether. Tightly bunched muscles and a body lean from years of physical labor showed off hardly any body-fat, yet ample curves, honed to perfection. Bending at the waist to pull the selected suit up, the warrior woman took a moment to shrug into the suit, before zipping up the garment to the throat.
It wasn't quite obscene. But if it were any tighter, it would have been. The garment had obviously been made for someone several inches shorter, and Nux solved this by wearing the garment with the legs ending above calf, and sleeves pulled up to the elbow. Her high combat boots covered the exposed lower legs, and she added her belt, festooned with the tools of her trade, to complete the ensemble. Hooking a small belt-mounted O2 reservoir to her utility belt, she sifted briefly through the pile of gear at her feet before selecting and donning a completely smooth, featureless helmet / faceplate. Her wild mane of blonde hair exploded out the base of the helmet. Testing her combat effectiveness in the suit, she performed a flawless two-handed walkover. Retracting the faceplate up to reveal her visage beneath, she turned to face Arkan. The smirk was back, behind her eyes. Teasing him, taunting.
Let's go, Captain.

The Captain strode towards the airlock before turning to glance back at Nux. She was getting into the spacesuit provided at the time and Arkan's eyes lingered a little before he re-focussed. The female was approaching and signalling her readiness, Arkan wasn't ready himself yet. He activated his armoured suits environmental controls with the datapad fixed on his right wrist and set them for a complete vacuum. The armour made an audible clicking and hissing sound and a few more indicators appeared on the HUD for Arkan to be aware of. O2 levels appeared and suit integrity took a more prominent place in the right side of the informative HUD. He then pressed a button on his left thigh and one of his blaster carbines appeared from the hidden slot. He grasped it tightly in his left hand and gestured for Nux to enter the airlock.
"Lets go then. Team one and two are to follow us through and sweep the ship. Once the sweep has been sixty percent complete and places of interest have been marked on the map, release the slaves."
Arkan addressed Nux then quickly turned his head to give orders to his boarding teams. He knew the pirates would take what they wanted from the ship, mostly valuables that he was not too interested in. The places of interest would be weapons lockers, armouries and ships magazines. He doubted one of the boarding team would try and personally steal an assault concussion missile. However he had said that anyone found taking a piece of beskar armour off the ship would be shot on sight. The Captain had reserved all of them for himself and that any extras would be distributed by himself.
He pressed the airlock control pad and waited for a few seconds before the inner door hissed and released. With his right hand the Captain swung the heavy door open easily and stepped inside. He waited for Nux to join him before sealing the inner door and activating the atmosphere controls. The air rushed out of the compartment and the temperature dropped to match the hulk of the dead ship. A light switched colour from red to green signalling that the atmosphere matched that on the other side of the outer door and Arkan moved to release it. The outer door was a little thicker and heavier than the inner one and it took a little longer to release. However fairly soon it was swinging open and into the dark, dead ship beyond.
The Captain stepped out first and found the ship had lost control of its artificial gravity so he began to float for a moment, quickly stretching his arms out to steady himself. This was a set back but not a major one, the pirates had encountered this before and sometimes actively destroyed ships gravity generators to disrupt the crew during boarding operations. The boots on Arkan's armoured suit were magnetic and with a quick press of a few buttons on his control pad they activated and he slammed into the floor sending echoes throughout the ship.
Nux, lets go this way, close the airlock for the other teams.
He said through the commlink and gestured down the corridor directly in front of him. The other teams would fan out to the left and right to find the targets, these two would move straight into the heart of the ship. There it would be most likely to find warriors who guarded the nerve centre of the ship still in their armour that hadn't been sucked into the void during the ships explosive decompression.

Swinging the airlock hatch shut and dogging the latch, she turned back to face the darkness. In the distance a light flickered on at random, occasionally throwing light down the hallway and showing all-too-briefly the architecture of the vessel. Lacking any magnetic boots, she took a moment to orient herself, and pushed off from the bulkhead to 'fly' down the hallway at a pace equivalent to Arkan, keeping pace slightly behind and to his four o'clock. Occasionally she pushed off again, or caught a piece of the superstructure to alter course, but most of the time, she floated along, silent and watchful.

The battle had been hard fought and even with it's victory shot through every wave length on the HNN it took seeing it in person to truly understand. The massive debris field expanded in both directions, outward into the void and inward where it would slowly burn in the atmosphere. Everywhere in between was dotted with crews of Stormtroopers hunting the dead or dying hulks for survivors on both sides. With the abundance of debris in space it was not hard for the powered down ship to sneak by what remained of the fleets above the planet who's attention was focused elsewhere.
Coincidentally this ship was being searched by part of the defenders forces. Parts of the ship still had nominal power to it including it's life support, and was a prime suspect for holding survivors. The group though was small, a squad of Stormtroopers led by the last Imperial Knight in the system. Their course had piloted them from the planets surface to the other side of the crippled vessel, oblivious to the presence of the smugglers they docked in an opening in the hull large enough to fit the ship. Their job was simple, capture or kill any survivors of the crew and take a rough estimate on board for the salvage crews.
Making sure that their tanks were on and environment suits were sealed the 13 glorified surveyors walked off the ship all of them with their weapons held in a laxidasicale manner. No living being could live on this part of the ship, the only one taking the job seriously was Panno who motioned for them to move forward towards the sealed bulk head 20 feet away. Once we are inside the ship watch your corners and stay in constant contact, if we find something we can't handle you are to fall back and meet up at the ship. Our comms arent powerful enough to reach The Black Caisson from here, but our transport can. Until such a time that the ship is cleared or if there are survivors radio silence from here on out.

Arkan plodded through the hulk of the dead ship with Nux floating beind him. By now the other teams had entered through the airlock and were also exploring the ships themselves. It didn't take too long until the Captain found a sealed hatch, one that had been sealed from the other side. This was not unusual, hatches like this will have been sealed during combat or as the ship was being punctured with holes by the enemy however Arkan felt something a bit different about this one. He stopped and inspected the solid metal door and its control panel. All that the control panle told him was that it had been sealed manually from the other side. The Captain lifted his right wrist and began to type on his datapad. He was trying to scan through the hatch and to find a way around on the map. He could not scan through the metal and the map of this ship was incomplete in this area.
The Echani signalled he was going right down the corridor to Nux before turning and clunking his way down the corridor. He looked for a way to turn left and try and find a way around the sealed hatch. The most interesting things were found behind obstacles, especially when pirates are involved. After a few minutes the pair of pirates found a corridor leading off to the left and Arkan turned down it. After another minute they found another sealed hatch on the left, probably leading to the same compartment as the other. This one, however, had not been sealed manually from the inside, it had been automatically closed by the computer system, trying to prevent explosive decompression. That told Arkan that the other side had life support systems operational and probably gravity as well. It would be a prime spot for survivors to be hold up and maybe they had gathered valuables too.
The fact that there was an atmosphere on the other side of the hatch meant that getting in would be a problem. They would need to find some sort of internal airlock to get in, something that was not common inside ships. However if this ship was anything like his own, small compartments became make-shift airlocks in a situation like this. Of course there was no way to know if this was the case or if it was the case, where the airlocks would be. However venting the atmosphere from within the ship would give the pirates the advantage. Arkan produced a thermal detonator from a pouch on his belt and set the timer for twenty seconds. He placed it near the hatch and activated it. He then deactivated his magnetic boots and pushed himself off from the hatch to glide around the corner before reactivating them. In the vacuum of the dead ship the explosion made no sound but it would have made a very loud and unwelcome sound for anyone in the compartment with atmosphere.

As the Imperial Knight thumbed the activator on his lightsaber on he could Amish imagine the sound it made. Thrusting the curved silver blade into the metal he smiled. The outside of the behemoth may have Beskar in it but thankfully the insides were less protected. Cutting a man sized hole in the door he pushed it inside the ship careening end over end until it hit the opposite side of the hall. Probing out with his mind Panno could feel that there were survivors on the ship, however many and their exact location was a mystery to him.
Two Stormtroopers entered the ship weapons held, each facing opposite directions. Panno followed then the others, their weapons a lot lower than their comrades. Holding up a fist he motioned for 11 of the troopers to head one way and the 12th to come with him. Just as each turned the corner the hull shuddered ever so slightly. Had they been in atmosphere they would have heard the groans from the crippled ship. Instead it was more a feeling. A slight tremor that ran through the feet. Like something had exploded close by. That meant oxygen, fire, and munitions. It also meant there may be some trapped souls somewhere.
Pushing off the wall Panno was covered by the twelfth member of the squad as he drifted through the hallway. Then something drifted down and struck his back. Twisting he swung the silver blade to cut whatever it may be. The creepy glow caught a female tweilik floating in her body suit. Now cut in half Panno could see the gash on her head and "frost" on her green skin. She was clearly dead but in the dark it had startled him. His slash had cut through the top of the hallway and it was a few seconds before the super heated metal changed from orange back to grey.
Unknown to the Imperial Knight the pirates were one floor above him and his blade had penetrated the floor 100 meters from were Rage now stood. The 11 that had gone off were now at a elevator shaft, their lights scanning either direction of the intersection as they pried it open. Once open they climbed up and began to open the area that was being searched by the nefarious pirates.
