"Oh, it was no trouble...I had a few lucky hands of sabacc," very lucky actually. In fact, he probably would be wise not to return to that tapcaf in the Underworld for some time to come. Of course, he hadn't done anything illegal, but people tend to overlook the minutiae of a situation when it involves large amounts of credits. This trip with Terra was a good thing from multiple perspectives.
He leisurely unbuttoned and removed his green vest, meticulously hanging it up before setting aside his lighter than usual utility belt and pulling off his boots. His lightsaber of course went under the pillow on the side of the bed nearest the door into the room. The Zeltron didn't air his reasons for picking that side, but he instinctively put himself between Terra and the door in case of unexpected trouble during the night. He walked over next to her and sat down beside her, reaching up to her shoulders and applying gentle pressure in a relaxing backrub. "So, there's also a jacuzzi. Height of luxury, I'm informed. The wealthy classes enjoy a soak in heated water. It's supposedly relaxing." He let the suggestion hang in midair, waiting to see what she thought, and whether she'd want him to be around. Warm fingers traced up her neck and stroked along her spine, working out the kinks that built up over time.

Terra giggled and shook her head when Nik revealed the source of the funding for this little vacation, and she hoped he hadn't made anyone angry. Probably not worth worrying about at this point. As far as she was concerned at this point in time, it was money well spent."I'm glad luck was on your side."
Her eyes closed and she let out a sigh of contentment as he started to rub her shoulders and her back. He seemed to know just the right spots to hit and she could feel her tension melting away. She perked up when he mentioned the jacuzzi, and she faintly remembered doing something like that with Serrin on Umgul some time ago. Opening her eyes, she turned to grin at him."Jacuzzi, huh?"A million thoughts raced through her mind, but first and foremost was the possibility of a good long soak with the jets turned on and all her troubles could just melt away...
Terra hopped to her feet."I think I could really use that right about now...er..."She paused for a moment as another thought occurred to her, and her face turned a little red."Er...b-but I think I'd like to...be alone when I use it, OK?"

Luck, the Force, and no small amount of innate Zeltron charm. Nik grinned, happy that Terra was pleased. He still didn't know exactly what she'd faced on Coruscant, or during her Trial of Spirit, but she had changed on an elemental level. However, some surface things were obviously still the same. He held up his hands. "Whoa, don't run off without your boots! I never said I'd join you." And he hadn't. He guessed she needed her space right about now anyway. Despite her willingness to kiss him, she seemed conflicted. He wasn't sure why, but he wasn't blind either.
"Take your time," he smiled warmly at her, "some things need to be enjoyed in a leisurely fashion, and that kind of relaxation is one of those things. You know where I'll be if you need me."
He gave her a hand up off the bed and looked at her for a second, green eyes reflecting a gentle sense of concern for her well-being as a person. The worried, embarrassed look in her eyes twitched at the corners of his lips, but lest she think he was making fun of her, he brushed a very light kiss against her lips before pointing around the corner and backing away, heading for the balcony just outside the room.

Terra did feel a little embarrassed at jumping to conclusions like that, but luckily, Nik wasn't one to laugh at such things or make fun of her for it. She kissed him back, and she managed a smile."Thanks Nik."After he had left, she went into the refresher, marveling at the luxury that was present in every corner of this place. For someone so used to the plain and simple quarters of the Jedi and the filthy slums of Nar Shaddaa before that, it was almost overwhelming.
Snapping out of her brief reverie, Terra set about preparing the jacuzzi, which wasn't terribly difficult as it had obviously been designed for ease of use. Which setting to use though...massage jets? Relaxing jets? Euphoria jets? That last one caused a raised eyebrow from her. Who named these settings anyway? Well...maybe just the relaxing jets for now. That's what she had come here to do anyway...
Soon the tub was filled with water and a brief test confirmed that the water temperature was just right. After hanging up a towel on the rack as well as a robe, she undressed and slipped into the jacuzzi, closing her eyes as the water jets started to work their magic. Now this was a good way to relax...

Outside, it was fully dark with the exception of the lights in Salis D'aar itself. Far away the stars twinkled coldly, but otherwise it was a peaceful night as far as the eye could make out. Nik leaned on the balcony railing for a few minutes, considering recent events and things of importance like the state of the galaxy, but then he smiled as a bubble of confused embarrassment tinged Terra's Force aura.
He sighed, and unbuttoned his shirt, enjoying the cool night breeze that of course did nothing to keep his hair in place, instead making it stick out in random directions. The Zeltron padded over to the corner of the balcony where the railing joined the outside wall of the edifice, and lightly hopped up on the edge of the stone railing and leaned back against the wall. He settled himself carefully, not wanting to fall off the other side, and leaned back against the rough facade of the building. Residual heat from the day seeped through his shirt into his bones, and he stretched out his legs in front of himself, crossing right over left as he leaned slightly in towards the balcony. This way, if something happened and he wasn't warned of it beforehand, he'd likely fall inside. Anything else would be difficult to explain, presuming that Terra would want an explanation anyway.
He peered off into the distance, letting himself relax as he hummed quietly, then eventually, he closed his eyes and just listened to the muted noises of activity in a city of this size.

Terra had lost track of time as she relaxed in the jacuzzi, letting the massaging water jets do their work. Her mind wandered while she sat, thinking about everything that had happened. She wondered what Serrin was doing right now, if she was watching from somewhere as her Padawan became a Knight at last. Truth be told, she missed Serrin quite a bit. Her first memories of the academy on Corellia were of her and Serrin's lessons. Gazing up at the ceiling, she wondered if Serrin would be proud of her for what she had been able to accomplish under Master Jade's tutelage.
She could almost hear Jade scolding her for that thought. Of course Serrin would be proud of her...wherever she was now, her thoughts were with her old Padawan.
Sighing softly, Terra turned to glance at the chrono she had left by the edge of the jacuzzi and realized she had been sitting in here for almost forty five minutes. After turning off the jets, she slowly hoisted herself out and grabbed a towel to dry off. Taking the robe off the rack, she slipped into it and tied the sash around it to keep it closed before gathering clothing and put them up. Sensing Nik's presence outside, she slowly walked out to join him on the balcony, smiling as she saw him leaning against the wall."Hey..."

Nik had been lost in thought, thoughts that became vague half-dreams on the edge of consciousness. He knew Terra was close by, but he wasn't aware just how close until she spoke. Her voice brought him back from a deeper sleep, but he was almost reluctant to open his eyes and look at her. She'd seemed uncomfortable earlier, and in spite of the fact they knew each other pretty well by this point, he had decided he'd gone far enough. She could take the initiative if she wanted it, the Zeltron had made his stance plain enough if she wanted to understand.
Eventually he opened his eyes and blinked, readjusting to the brighter light that spilled out onto the balcony from indoors. Nik smiled faintly as light gleamed off her hair, though her expression was veiled in shadow.
"Hey yourself..." he replied with a faint smile, turning to look at her from his perch on the balcony railing.

Terra smiled up at him as she slowly walked over."I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"

What to say to that? Nik shrugged. "I guess not. What's on your mind, Terra Kiros?" He looked up at her with a half-grin, though the light from the room didn't do anything about the shadows he was sitting in.

Terra sighed softly as she went to stand next to him."Well...I was remembering my old master."Well old might not be the best word since Serrin was far from old and they hadn't been separated for that long. Although it did feel like forever since they had spoken last."I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for Serrin, you know...I wonder where she is now..."She sighed again and continued to gaze up at the stars.

Nik looked at her sideways, sensing the sense of emptiness that threatened to overwhelm her presence in the Force. She had never really spoken of the Master she'd had before Councillor Jade, but he could tell every so often that she was thinking of her. A slight crease formed in the middle of his eyebrows as he thought back. He'd never personally met Serrin Roma, though he was aware of her via reputation and archives within the Jedi library on Coruscant.
"At peace, I hope." He wasn't sure what to say. Though officially listed as "missing" there had been no word and common consensus, though largely unspoken, tended to believe that she was one with the Force.
He turned, and slid so that his feet were on the ground and the balcony railing was pressing into his lower back as he took Terra's hands in his and looked closely into her eyes. He loved their color and the way the starlight was reflecting into their depths. "Do you...feel...anything, Terra Kiros?" he inquired, unsure how to ask what she what her opinion of Serrin's status was.

Terra thought for a moment about his question. She hadn't felt anything through the Force that might signal that Serrin had passed on, so she must still be alive and well somewhere out there in the galaxy. Still, to have not heard anything for so long, not even a letter or anything, it made her wonder."I haven't felt anything in the Force...I guess that means she must still be alive somewhere."She really hoped that Serrin was still alive, and that one day they could be reunited.

Nik wondered what was going through Terra's mind, other than the obvious things like Serrin Roma. From what he knew of the Corellian Twi'Lek Master she had been quite a woman, but that didn't mean he hid the tinge of annoyed jealousy that he felt knowing that Terra was thinking of her old Master instead of the Zeltron who was her companion right now. He took a deep breath, held it for a count of five, and released it in a slow hiss. It helped order his thoughts. He cared about Terra, but sometimes, she seemed either clueless or playfully naive to a degree that would have done a courtesan proud on Coruscant. With an effort, he asked, "How long has it been since she---ah, vanished?"

Sometime in the early dawn, Terra's comlink pinged with an incoming message alert. When she keyed it on, Jade's voice filtered nearly flat and emotionless due to space and passage through multiple relay stations greeted her.
Terra, I've received a message purporting to be from Serrin Roma. By the time you receive this, I hope I will have more and better news for you. I've just arrived in orbit over Bimmisaari, the last place she was seen.

The dropships descended down through the sky. All of them filled with Sky Troopers ready to deploy and invade Bakura. Valance picked up his helmet, donning the protective piece of armour as he felt the lead dropship begin to slow its descent. As he gripped his shield, Sabrina handed him his lightsaber pike. Readying him for the fight that was to come "You will survive this fight. Bakura will swear allegiance to the Eternal Empire..." "As all worlds should... Let's make this quick..." The Knights in the dropship gave a nod of agreement to his comments. And then he felt it. The dropship at last coming to a stop as it landed. As the doors pulled open, he rushed forward first. His shield raised against the incoming blaster fire of the palace guards. The other Knights quickly emptied out of the dropship, forming a line to either side of Valance. Creating an impenetrable wall behind which Sabrina and a pair of Scions strode. While Valance set the pace, Sabrina helped the Knights adjust to incoming threats. Foreseeing the traps the enemy had laid before they had a chance to spring them. It took only a matter of minutes, before the first line of guards were beaten back into retreat. Something which Valance was greatly pleased by "Follow them, and divert more Sky Troopers to this location. The sooner we take the palace, the better..." Sabrina seemed to stop dead in her tracks then. Her hand shooting out to wrap around his wrist. Holding him in place as she seemed to see something. He watched and waited, until she took a deep breath and lowered her gaze to meet his "Find storage room one zero alpha... You must find it alone! Trust me cousin..." He stared at her a moment. She was one of the most skilled Scion's that they had ever seen in modern times. She had foreseen things that many doubted would ever come true. He knew it wise not to ignore her "Very well. Take the lead. I will find this storage room..." With that, he made his way deep into the palace. His way unimpeded as the security forces were busy dealing with the main force. Within moments, he came to a stop in front of a door labelled "Storage 10-A". He raised his shield and lightsaber pike, as he quickly pressed the door activator button...

That which waited inside wouldn't be what Valance was expecting. There, sitting upon a pile fancy chests resided something from the past, something that would have made the High Justice possibly feel they were on the right track for what they sought or as an omen of destruction. A single GEMINI droid rested there, shut down and inactive by what one could tell. From what could be seen, it appeared to be in fine shape considering. No doubt that it had been discovered ages ago and kept here as a prize or a piece of a grand collection. Surely being in possession of one meant something, somewhere.
The question to come was how it ended up here and how was it able to be subdued to such a point as simple deactivation. Without someone in command of the GEMINI and the Eternal Fleet, their prime directive was to eliminate organic life, an event proven at the fall of the last heir to the Eternal Empire before the Eternal Alliance took control. And with such programming, what means were used to conquer it this way instead of destroying it entirely? Perhaps others sought to use the droid to seek the Eternal Fleet, or at the very least, other GEMINI in which they could build an army from. But there was no telling what became of the Eternal Fleet, its location a mystery lost to time. Had they been destroyed or did they remain dormant somewhere, ready to be found and awakened once again?
Question after question the simple existence this one droid provided. Was the glimpse of the coming future one of fortune or disaster? One could never tell. But for now, the Gemini remained there, quiet and still. It would only be when the Knight of Zakuul stepped forth and triggered the motion sensor therein that it would come to life, its head lifting to look at the one entering its chamber.

Time seemed to stand still for a moment, as the door slid open. The lights activating moments later to reveal the GEMINI droid that resided within. Of all the things in all the galaxy that he had expected to find here. A GEMINI droid was at the very bottom of that list. No one had seen a functioning GEMINI droid in centuries. The last of them disappearing into the pages of history not long after the Eternal Alliance had at last fallen. His mind was already awash with questions. All of them only answerable by examining the droids databanks. In hopes they had some file as to how it ended up here.
He couldn't help but wonder if this droids existence here also meant that a ship of the Eternal Fleet existed nearby. Perhaps on the planet itself or hidden somewhere nearby in the system. Valance took a couple steps forward, entering into the storage room. His shield still raised, while his spear was in a more relaxed position. He came to a stop as the droids head shifted, its eyes staring at him as he seemed to trip some kind of sensor.
He stared down the mechanical ship captain from behind his helmet. Waiting to see whether it would attack him right away or if it would recognise him as its master. He couldn't help but wonder if this units activation had sent an alert to the Eternal Throne or even the Eternal Fleet. He moved closer to the droid as it made no further moves. If this was some kind of trap, he suspected he would survive it. After all, Sabrina had made no mention of his imminent death "I am High Justice Valance Vellanan of the Eternal Empire. State your identification number GEMINI."

No response came from the GEMINI as the High Justice issued his command. Only the slight shifts in both its eyes and head gave any inclination that the droid remotely acknowledged the Knight’s presence. While nothing more than lights of optical sensors, there was something within them, much like the eyes of an organic. Curiosity and observance could be made out in those glowing orbs. But for what reason would this mechanical life form be curious of Valance? Too easily should it have recognized the armor he wore as that of a Knight of Zakuul or the mention of its former master of the Eternal Empire. So why, then, would it just sit there, ignoring the command bestowed upon it?
After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, the eerie silence was finally broken by the sound of a synthetic female voice. ::I am GEMINI unit 223. But who are you to give orders to me?::
The words provided by the GEMINI made it clear that it didn’t see Valance as its master, nor did it even recognize any form of authority from the man and the empire he served. For that to be true, it meant that something had happened since the fleet faded away into history. In that unknown time of mystery, something had severed the connection the Eternal Throne held over the Eternal Fleet. Maybe the GEMINI frequency that united the consciousness of every unit had been changed, thus no longer recognizing commands issued to them from Zakuul. This meant they were wandering about the galaxy without one to command them or another had taken control over them. Even the chance, since becoming one with Iokath, that SCORPIO was able to give back to them free will was a possibility. Each option would explain why the Eternal Fleet never returned to the Knight’s home world, despite there being one who sat upon the throne.
Yet, if the words spoken were further inspected, another option lay within the possibilities. The response of the droid suggested that it wasn’t any of the previous options that led to its questioning of the High Justice’s authority. Instead, it could have meant that it didn’t know who the Knights of Zakuul or what the Eternal Empire even was. That being the case, it stood to reason that their minds had been wiped or memory cores locked. However, if that was the truth of the matter, it would explain why it was locked away within the store room of the palace and deactivated, for it meant this droid was left with nothing but its default programming and original purpose: exterminate all life in the galaxy.
No matter the reality, one thing was clear. This wouldn’t be a pleasant encounter.

Valance had heard many stories of the fabled GEMINI droids that captained the ships of the Eternal Fleet. They had been made loyal to whomever sat upon the Throne. At least that was how it was meant to be. However, SCORPIO had given the GEMINI droids free will for a time. The droid having sat the Eternal throne for a brief moment between the reigns of Arcann and Vaylin. Allowing the GEMINI to do as they wished. At least until Vaylin had dragged the heap of a droid back from Iokath and restore their default programming.
Perhaps this GEMINI had not been reprogrammed to subservience. Maybe as its final act of self preservation, it had severed its link to the fleet and wiped its memory. In either case, this droid was not likely to obey his orders. Which meant that the next few moments would all come down to a simple question. Would the GEMINI droid view him as a threat to its existence or not. Valance was pretty sure it would be the former "two-two-three, you are a loyal captain within the Eternal Fleet. A fleet which owes allegiance to the Eternal Throne, which I am a representative of... Do you not remember? Come, I will help you remember..."

The silence continued as the GEMINI focused its photo receptors upon Valance, processing the words that had been spoken. Luckily, there wasn't nearly the length of quiet before a response came, though it would not have been to the Knight's liking. "There are none who command the GEMINI. As such, I shall do as my programming commands. And that is to eliminate all organics, starting with you."
Nothing else was said as it moved at Valance, arms reaching out to grab the neck of the High Justice. It movements were swift and accurate, making the droid a fair bit more difficult than the average droid in battle.
