having found no other ships, besides the clan Or'dinii ship, on the surface or in orbit the fleet takes up patrol vectors and release 1/3 of their squadrons to begin passing runs through the space and 7 shuttles and one stealthx leave 30 mins after the patrols are started and begin heading for the surface.

Damas opened his eyes as the alarm chimed in his ears, staring at the ceiling for a few moments before turning his head to regard the chrono. Twenty minutes past midnight, local time. He wasn't supposed to be up for another four hours. Something was wrong.
He sat up in the bed, then swung his legs over the edge and stood, moving quickly as he got dressed and groomed himself to become presentable, then stepped out of his quarters into the glaring light of the ships corridors. Being chiss, his eyes adjusted almost immediately and he rapidly walked the few meters to the bridge. Once inside, he stepped up to his usual command position and stood with his hands clasped behind his back. "Report. I want to know what you thought was so urgent that it couldn't wait four hours."
"Sir, it's the hostiles. The ones that were driven out of the system. They're back."
"What? Bring it up on the main holo." He turned around to face the holo as a display of the system coalesced above the floor, then zoomed in on the small fleet that had not been there the last time Damas had looked. It did indeed seem to be the same ships, or at least what was left of them, and by all appearances they were launching both fighters and shuttlecraft toward the surface.
Damas narrowed his eyes. "Have they seen us?"
"I don't believe so Sir, the sensor mask seems to be working."
"Good. Have the Whirlwind and Stardancer engage their holographic cloaks and await further instructions. Tight beam comms only. I don't want them picking up any transmissions." He glared at the display for several more minutes before speaking again. "Open a..."
"What's this then? I came as soon as I... Ah. They've returned." The new voice belonged to Formas, the ships chief political advisor and very likely the smartest man within twelve systems. It didn't surprise Damas that he had almost immediately recognized the ships displayed on the holo, but it did surprise him that he had arrived so late. Probably fraternizing with one of the female crew members again. "It was inevitable I suppose. Nkyrn only disabled a single capital ship in the original engagement, and only a fool would fail to return when the odds appear stacked so heavily in his favor, and with a prize as valuable as the one down there." He gestured out the viewport toward the planet below. "What have I missed?"
Damas barely held back a low growl at Formas' words, his lack of proper sleep thinning the veneer of patience he always had to put on to avoid strangling the other man. "Nothing. I was just about to tell them they can pick up and leave on their own or be sent packing a second time." The look Formas gave him, something halfway between a sneer and a cringe, nearly earned the other man a broken nose. Damas managed to control himself, however, and his frustration at the other man's arrogant withholding of information, as if that information should be completely obvious to everyone in the room regardless of how much sleep they'd gotten, only showed through in the barely controlled tone of his voice. "Something you'd like to add?"
"Only that it may be better to play the part of the ignorant fool. Address them as you would an unknown party, and perhaps we can maintain an even larger advantage than we already have. I assume you sent orders to the Whirlwind and Stardancer to engage their cloaking fields?"
Damas closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath, then let it out and tried to send all his stress and frustration with it. The exercise worked, though not as thoroughly as he would have hoped, and he was once again calm enough for civil discourse when he opened his eyes. "Yes. They're all but invisible. Once we open the comms, we'll be the only ship they see."
"In that case, I shall leave the rest of this engagement in your more than capable hands."
He didn't turn to leave, however, or even take a step back, so Damas sincerely doubted he would withhold any input he had in the future. He never had before. Turning back to face the main viewport, Damas nodded at the comm officer who then opened a channel.
Unidentified fleet. This is Force Commander Damas of the Chiss Expansionary Fleet. This planet is under the control and protection of the Chiss Ascendancy, and you will cease all planet-side activities immediately or we will consider you to be hostile.

Damas' eyebrows rose as he listened to the response, and he turned to stare wonderingly at Formas. "Is this guy serious? He really thinks we'd just run off and leave the planet abandoned after coming here and fighting for it? Heh." The bark of laughter was halfway between a derisive snort and a gleeful chuckle, and Damas turned back to the viewport. "This shouldn't take long at all. Helm, set..."
"Excuse me, Commander."
Damas' smile vanished and he turned to regard Formas again, this time with a glare. "What?"
"I would like to accept their offer of parlay."
"Are you serious!" Damas' voice rose, and he had to repeat his earlier breathing exercise to bring it back down to more or less normal levels. "Even a fool could see that they are not here for a picnic. They mean to take this planet from us and they already have boots on the ground. The sooner I run off or destroy their forces in orbit, the sooner I can get to wiping them off the ground. They probably outnumber us a hundred to one, and even those supercommandos that got assigned to us aren't invincible."
"I am aware. I am also confident in my ability to find a more peaceful solution to this fiasco."
"If I put you down there, It's going to take the Springhawk well out of an ideal position. We don't have shuttles and fighting my way out of a gravity well is not something I would consider an ideal situation."
"I understand. I would still like to try."
Damas glared at him for several more moments. "Fine. Helm! Find us a landing spot on the surface and send the enemy the coordinates. Comms, let them know they'll get their truce. You'd better not frak this up Formas."
"I will certainly try my hardest to avoid that, Commander."
Fifteen minutes later, the Springhawk was settling gently onto the surface of an open field, barren aside from the odd boulder that lay strewn about, and Formas strode down the boarding ramp alone to take up a position in front of the ship, which then lifted off once more to become little more than a speck in the sky as it took a position twenty kilometers above the meeting place.

An older model of Chiss shuttle arrived in system. It's pilot broadcast an open comm message in Cheunh, seeking any remaining Chiss forces in the area. The shuttle was alone, since the council was not certain who or what would be found at the old Chiss outpost, since the civil war had brought the Chiss Ascendancy to its knees just over a decade ago.

The Dragon-class heavy cruiser jumped from hyperspace. The space battle for the planet was already complete & shattered wreck still cluttered much of the skies above the planet. Sliding into position with the rest of the First Order fleet already present in the system, the 12 Special Missions Battalion, Novatroopers prepared to deploy into active combat on the war ravaged planet below.

The Fervor of Vengeance exited hyperspace above the planet of Nirauan. Nyra looked through the viewports of the cockpit at the wreckage of the starships in Orbit. She had missed the big space battle.
"Hope I haven't missed the fun on the ground..."
Nyra readied herself, going into her quarters and opening her locker, getting her lightsaber and a knife. She clipped her lightsaber to her belt and stretched. She had spent the last couple of hours skimming the intel she had been given, not really taking anything in, and yelling at her ship to keep going. It had been a nice trip. Nyra spoke her thoughts aloud.
"Maybe just some faces in that 'No don't kill me please!' expression...Yeah. Would really brighten up the ship."
Nyra inserted the datapad into the navigational computer and followed the maps on it to the landing zone of the First Order forces.

Marcos waited just long enough to receive the proper instructions & orders before deploying. His usual laid back manner evaporated with the looming prospect of a cut loose & fight battle waiting for them on the planet. Unfortunately, the orders were only for a single company. With the few Novatrooper Battalions available to the First Order, it was foolish to risk an entire Battalion in combat at once. Fortunately, Marco was perfectly capably of working around those orders.
Handing temporary control over the Tianlong to the Battalion captain, Marcos assigned himself as an advisor to Third Company, which was then chosen to be deployed to the planet below. The two Gamma-class shuttles serving Third Company were quickly loaded & launched from the Dragon-class warship. Once closer to the planet, the shuttles encountered some anti-air defences, but their powerful shields made sure the shuttles remained intact.

The aptly named Resurgent-class Star Destroyer known as The Resurgence, sat in orbit above Nirauan, its guns remaining unfired, since by the time Harnan and Illaria had arrived, the siege had long since moved to the planet's surface. And now, the siege at last had been broken, leavng the First Order to merely wipe clean the Tower, as the transports of the Whap Legion rose up into orbit and began docking with the behemoth. Harnan had disembarked the transport moving his AT-AT the moment it had landed, heading straight for the bridge of the almighty command ship, before seating himself upon the giant inverted cross that served as a throne. In what can only be described as some strange homage to his past life as a Knight of Zakuul, the throne was made of old Lightsaber pikes and blaster resisitant shields of the ancient order, which has been fused together either by welding or by some intense heat. Regardless, the silent crusader lived up to his name as he sat brooding upon his throne, watching the holo displays that floated before him, signalling various ready states, whilst he awaited a call from Nicademus, so he could be directed to the next target upon this expansion list

C'thulu Xinthani exited hyperspace in his newly, albeit violently, acquired freighter and checked the navcomputer. "Why did he need to come here?" About two feet away from C'thulu's feet lay the previous owner of the freighter. C'thulu smirked at how simple it was to acquire the ship. As C'thulu sat at the controls he looked out the window for the first time since he was onboard. "What the-" He was cut off as the ship hit a large chunk of debris and was sent plummeting to the planet's surface. Thanks to some last second maneuvers and sheer luck he landed with the ship destroyed but him still alive.

(This is a storyline involving the construction of the First Order's fleet bonus)
=Shortly after the Battle of Taris=
Under direct orders by the Supreme Commander, resources from the Imperial Sector were diverted, after refinement, to a construction program that was underway over Nirauan. Over a period of several months, the leader of the First Order, advised by members of the senior military staffing, had begun gathering resources, personnel and necessary materials, from across the nation, for a specific project to be done within the Unknown Regions, far from prying eyes and the ongoing war. The planet to be chosen was Nirauan, an ideal world given its proximity to the main territories of the First Order and its secrecy as a military research facility for the Imperial regime. Shortly after the Battle of Taris, and the reclamation of Sol Invictus, the First Order initiated the long-developed protocol and work began over Nirauan.
It took some months before, whatever was being constructed over Nirauan, took shape in the form of a Telgorn Shipyard. This shipyard model, developed and sold by Telgorn Corporation, was able to construct Star Destroyers and an assortment of other vessels within its two modules. There were enough resources for, at least, three models for the sake of this project, which was overseen by a staffing of security and naval personnel, selected personally by the Supreme Commander. Within a year, two of the shipyards were fully developed with the third one still under construction. Yet the other two did not wait for the third to be completed as the four available modules were already constructing vessels.
The project was labeled Operation: Praetorian, in military terms, while the Supreme Commander labeled it the Guardian Project. The outline of this operation called for the formation of the finest fleet the First Order could ever conceive. It would consist of a dozen to over twenty vessels as a full composition, with several Star Destroyers as the core of the fleet. Military officers had begun recommending pilots, service crewmen, ranked personnel, and others to this project and their backgrounds, as well as careers, were examined by a committee, designed specifically by the Supreme Commander. Nicademus only wanted the best, the brightest and the most skilled to man the vessels of this task force in question, which had been named Praetorian Command. Persons were already being selected and assigned to their future vessels.
The construction was overseen by the Supreme Commander's personal fleet, Hegemon Command, led by Admiral Arcavius. There was still the question of who would lead Praetorian Command. Some of the senior staff recommended Arcavius, who politely refused. A dozen more candidates had been suggested, with a majority of them being rejected. After all, Nicademus desired someone who was loyal only to him, like Arcavius and was not to be appointed with connections to anyone in Imperial High Command.
The proudest moment was witnessing the launch of the fleet's flagship, a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, christened as Praetorian. It was a terrifying ship to behold as the Supreme Commander saw its engines flare to life for the first time, lumbering away from its berth to join the stars. A key component had been constructed, but the rest was still to come. Praetorian Command would live and become the most feared flotilla, of the First Order, in the galaxy since Darth Vader's Death Squadron. Nicademus would ensure that happened.

Within months, the formation of Praetorian Command continued to shape. Production had slowed down a bit after the construction of the flagship, much to the Supreme Commander's disappointment. As a result, KDY personnel and equipment were brought in to oversee and facilitate this project. Once the influx had been completely, production steamed forward, under the effective leadership of Overseer Davith Suutrar, who had been a long time member of Kuat Drive Yards and was recommended by the chairman and his committee. Within the months following this revampment of the shipyard crews over Nirauan, a further four more ships joined the flotilla; a pair of Victory IIs, an Imperial II and an Interdictor, all of them Star Destroyer class vessels. From time to time, Nicademus ventured over to Nirauan to examine the progress made so far for Task Force Praetorian, ensuring that all was going according to plan.
While various committees examined personnel that best suited for the idea that the Supreme Commander envisaged for this particular fleet, the senior military staff and himself took the time to find the right commanders to lead the starfighter wings, the warships and, most importantly, the upper command staff, including the Fleet Admiral and his second in command. Nicademus was quite keen on who was to be selected to have overall command of what he hoped would become the greatest fleet within the First Order's navy. He had reviewed many candidates, done thorough background checks and examined their careers to the letter, discarding many due to political and family connections within the military. The Supreme Commander sought someone, who owed no loyalties but to the First Order and to Nicademus himself, a man who was not corrupted by the machinations within his military nor connected to powerful families who would certainly use this connection to further themselves.
In the end, these candidates rose to his eyes when a recommendation was placed upon his desk by Fleet Admiral Arcavius, commanding officer of Imperial Core Fleet, the Imperial's personal fleet. The individuals, in question, were siblings, Gaelan and Malani Yage. The Yages were a rather prestigious family with deep ties to the society of Bastion. They were fervent Imperialists, latching onto the formation of First Order with determination and showing great loyalty. Gaelan Yage had served as the commander of a number of ships, earning a Star Destroyer position after the Battle of Dantooine. He participated in the Unknown Region and Core campaigns, displaying tactical genius. The latter, Malani, was an interesting woman, who had been within an Imperial Youth battalion growing up on Bastion before earning a spot in Planetary Security. She captained them till the formation of the First Order when she was recommended for command over a proper warship. Unlike her brother, she did not command a Star Destroyer, but still displayed a good handling as a commander. She was noted to have participated in the Core campaigns. It was an odd choice, but after an interview with both, Nicademus could sense their admiration and deep-seeded loyalty towards his person, his ideals and the First Order above all.
As a result, as the fleet's construction entered its final phase, Gaelan Yage was commissioned as Fleet Admiral, granted command of the Praetorian while his sister, Malani Yage, was made Rear Admiral and given charge of the Intrepid, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. They vowed to not let the First Order, nor the Supreme Commander, down and that they would see his dream for Praetorian Command be achieved under their guidance.

The Blacksabre fleet dropped out of hyperspace just above the planet, and immediately several cargo shuttles began descending to the surface, escorted by Clawcraft in the event of an ambush. The technology they were retrieving was much too valuable to be lost to pirates or enemies.

During the last days of the Third Galactic Civil War, Nicademus Delvardus made a trip to Nirauan to witness the last ship of the Praetorian Squadron emerge from its births and join the rest of the fleet. From the bridge of the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, the Supreme Commander gave his speech to the whole of the fleet, stating their mission as the finest flotilla within the First Order's arsenal. How they would achieve the reputation of Death Squadron and exceed it beyond compare. That they would strike fear into the hearts of all their foes and aid in the creation of a new galactic order, of a new empire that would last for generations. Praetorian Command was christened, its orders were given and her commanders selected. The following day, the flotilla was joined by the Eclipse-class Dreadnought, as the primary role of this fleet was to serve as a guard for the flagship of the First Order's navy.
The logs were made for the first maiden voyage of the Praetorian Squadron. In total, under the command of Fleet Admiral Gaelan Yage, this battlegroup consisted of thirteen Star Destroyers, led by a Resurgent-class flagship. It was noted to be manned by veteran crews of the ongoing war, augmented by crack squadrons and seasoned commanders. From this point on, this fleet would only take the best, brightest, bravest and most skilled within the First Order in order to keep its expected legendary reputation among the stars. Nicademus knew that, with such firepower hidden in the Unknown Region, the Galactic Alliance and all the enemies of the Imperials would be smashed into nothing, their existences ceasing with the salvos these ships could muster.
As Nicademus departed Nirauan, his eyes gazed upon the flotilla from afar, feeling pride swell within his chest at such an accomplishment. Praetorian Squadron was the pinnacle of the First Order Navy, just as the First Order was reaching its climax. A climax that would cause an evolution into a new Empire that would be unlike any Empire seen before.

Aboard the Resurgent-class Battlecruisers, Praetorian...
Your Majesty, test firing sequence will begin in five minutes.
Nicademus nods to the officer who spoke to him, dismissing the person with a slight wave of his hand. A week ago, the Military Research facility on Nirauan had contacted the Emperor about the test firing of a new weapon called an orbital autocannon. It was only one part of a new project being done at the facility that would help in the creation of a new generation of warships, a First Order Dreadnought. Intrigued by the new weapon testing, Nicademus made his way from Muunilinst to the orbit of the planet where a live testing was to be performed.
Present with the Emperor were members of the Imperial High Command, senior staff of the Military Research Facility and major manufacturers of the First Order, ideally in the fields of ship construction and weapons. The Emperor glances over at a group of officers, monitoring the communications from the orbital autocannon that was attached to floating facility over Nirauan. The live test firing sequence's target would be an outdated Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, recently decommissioned. After the long wait, a scientist approaches the Emperor, bowing his head.
Your Majesty, orbital autocannon beginning to charge.
From there, a countdown was heard as the weapon was being charged to full capacity. From the bridge of the Praetorian, a red glow was seen along the sides of the dual orbital autocannons as well as within the gargantuan muzzle of the prototype. The Head Scientist of the project, Doctor Gallus, steps forth, gesturing to the weapon.
Your Majesty, we will fire on your command.
Once the countdown ended and the weapon was reported at 100% power rate, the Emperor waves his hand. An officer gave the order to the testing crews to fire the weapon. Six shots were fired off from the weapons, three from each of the muzzles. Of which three hit the floating Star Destroyer, causing it to rupture and explode in a brilliant orange light. Nicademus raises his hand slightly, as did others, shielding their eyes from the impressive sight before them. When the light died down, the remains of the Star Destroyer were everywhere within the vicinity of where it used to be.
There were murmurs of approval from the crowd present with the Emperor. Nicademus turns to Gallus.
What will you be calling this new Dreadnought of yours, Doctor Gallus?
Your Majesty, it shall be called the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought. An ideal warship, capable of powerful orbital strikes and long-range firing sequences on orbital and planetary targets. It will become another great addition to the First Order Navy.
Nicademus gazes out at the orbital autocannons, watching as the red glow died down and the weapons were cooled after the firing sequence. A set of cannons good enough to blast targets in space and planetside, a terrifying weapon to behold.
Tell Imperial High Command what you need, Doctor Gallus. Begin construction of your warship and notify me when its ready for launch. If your tests are as successful as they are now and the warship proves its worth, then the First Order will have secured a hundred victories with its existence.
Doctor Gallus bows.
By your will, Your Majesty.
