With permission granted by the Emperor, the project to construct the flagship of the very first Dreadnought of the First Order went underway. Doctor Gallus and his team of scientists worked hard with the greatest minds available among the shipwrights from Foerost, Yaga Minor, Bilbringi and Kuat to construct this grand monstrosity for the Imperial Navy. Weeks turned into months as the ship's design took shape within Nirauan's secret Military Research Facility. Contracts were made with refineries, weapon system designers, and other necessary parts as revolutionary technology and advanced systems were created to meet the demands of this gargantuan warship. By the end of the first year since the Emperor was crowned that the project was given the green light.
High above the planet, and heavily guarded by a number of Imperial vessels, the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought took shape over Nirauan. In addition to its production, three more Resurgents were built, prior to this project, to serve as additional security, commanded by the Praetorian, an existing Resurgent-class Battlecruiser that lingered within the Nirauan system. When the designs were given to Nicademus and the Senior Military Staff, they could not believe their eyes. The Dreadnought was almost eight thousand meters long. It was designed around the main weapon system, the dual orbital autocannons that rested beneath the vessel. Keeping with the traditional dagger shape of most Imperial vessels, the Dreadnought was given a number of weapon systems and a good system of deflector shields.
The manpower to crew one of these vessels was astronomical, fifty-three thousand officers, a hundred and forty thousand enlisted and twenty-two thousand Stormtroopers with a complement of three wings of starfighters, coming to an amount of two hundred and sixteen starfighters. Keeping with the original recruitment for Praetorian Squadron, which was being decommissioned, the Emperor diverted the manpower of that fleet into the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought and into the three additional Resurgent's that joined it.
As the massive vessel took shape, Nicademus could feel a sense of pride from afar on Muunilinst. This warships existence was further proof of the advanced state that was the First Order and the continued progress that would lead to a unified galaxy under the banner of his nation. He only hoped, for the sake of Doctor Gallus, that this vessel would not be a waste of First Order manpower, resources and his time.

The day had come...
Nicademus, while touring the southern territories of the First Order, received a message from Doctor Gallus over on Nirauan. The first First Order Dreadnought, after months of testing and preparation, was ready for launch. The Emperor, desiring not to raise any alarms towards the warship's existence, continued his tour as planned and made way for Nirauan a week after Gallus contacted His Majesty. This gave the team more time to run last-minute checks and tests to ensure the vessel was ready for usage. Doctor Galluc knew that, if he failed the Emperor, then his career and life would be over within a heartbeat. Failure meant certain death within the First Order.
Meeting up with the Resurgent-class Battlecruiser, Praetorian, and Admiral Gaelan Yage, the Emperor, attended by senior military staff, departed from Prakith within the Deep Core, after a double was sent back to Muunilinst upon his personal warship, the Hegemon. Total secrecy and heightened security were ensured throughout this last week and as the Emperor made his way to Nirauan. Even Imperial Knights, elite Stormtroopers, and Imperial Intelligence agents were present within the security detail. All measures were taken, necessary and beyond. This was to be another crowning moment in Imperial innovation and Nicademus would ensure its total and complete secrecy.
As the Praetorian exited out of hyperspace, having finally exited its long journey from the Deep Core to the Nirauan System, the viewport greeted them with an image that was not expected. In line with the prow of the Resurgent battlecruiser was a wedge-shaped vessel, two and a half times the size of the hovering Praetorian. The Emperor stands right where he was, gazing upon the rather rough appearance of the Mandator IV-class Dreadnought, yet... there was a beauty to it. A sinister beauty that lurked on the bottom portion of the vessel.
He turns to the helmsman, gesturing to the starboard side of the shipyard that constructed the warship. As the Resurgent moved, Nicademus turns to a communication's officer who snapped to attention when the Emperor turned to him.
Prepare shuttles for our departure to the dreadnought. Contact Doctor Gallus and have him be ready for us.
With those orders given, Nicademus and his entourage departed for the hangar bay, taking several Upsilon-class command shuttles from the battlecruiser to the hangar bays of the Mandator IV. The whole time this happened, it was evident that Emperor's gaze did not phase away from the view of the massive warship. There was pride in his eyes, pride for the innovation that his empire continued to show, even as war had ended and peace was tenuous at best. The First Order would become the galactic victors and rulers of these stars and this dreadnought would see it happen with the bellowing of its cannons and the screech of its starfighters.
Once upon the ship, a long tour ensued with Doctor Gallus leading the entourage around the vessel. They got a view of the internal components of the warship before it ended upon the re-designed bridge. None spoke nor dared to enter first until the Emperor did so. The crew that was stationed there stood in silence, saluting their supreme leader as Nicademus took the first step upon the bridge. He gestures to the crew, permitting them to get back to work.
His eyes turned to Gallus as the rest of his entourage filed in.
Is she ready to launch, Doctor Gallus?
At your command, Your Majesty, she will join the stars and be free of her birthing grounds.
A bit poetic for the Imperial's taste, but it was something he had learned about Gallus during this project's time. The Emperor strolls further onto the bridge, ending up at the very forefront of the station. He took in a deep breath, feeling the power of this ship resonating through his person. It hummed softly, but could easily become a snarling beast in a second.
Crew, to your stations! Prepare for launch! I want pre-launch reports from all stations immediately.
The crew, in unison, replied 'By your Will!' before the bridge came to life as a hive. Their training kicked in and the stations flared to life as persons bustled about. The senior military staff either stayed towards the rear or forward parts of the bridge, keeping out of the way as the dreadnought's crew did its work. This was to be one of the greatest moments in First Order history, a true specimen of Imperial innovation, scientific advancement and a physical manifestation of their might.

Harnan strolled onto the bridge of the Mandator IV, clad in his newly forged black armour. A sight that would still be foreign to many. Except those that he had hitched a ride on the Praetorian with, when it stopped by Prakith. He had heard rumours of a new First Order ship in development. But never had he expected something quite like this dreadnought. Despite his feelings toward Nicademus and the First Order. He could not deny that they had some pretty impressive technology. This Siege Class Dreadnought the latest of its line of developments.
He leaned against the back wall then, watching as Nicademus ordered the crew to their stations to prepare for launch. With the uniformed officers quickly scurrying about to fulfil his commands. He was almost glad that he had not missed the opportunity to see the launch of this vessel and witness the destructive might that it was capable of. Though, whether it lived up to the claims Doctor Gallus made, was yet to be seen

The buzz of activity continued as pre-launch checks were made. As time went on, reports began to file appropriately and in order towards the Emperor, who stood in the middle of the activity. His eyes ever fixated on the open space that was just beyond the prow of the stationary dreadnought.
Your Majesty, engine reports main thrusters powered at 70% efficiency. Two minutes till full power.
Sire, security reports the disembarkment of all non-essential personnel to the dockyards.
Your Majesty, a report from the dockyard's staff. Magnetic clamps are ready to disengage at your command.
Nicademus then points to the communication and security officers.
Send out an alert to all crew. Have all stations be ready for launch!
The klaxons went off seconds later as a message was screened throughout the vessel and dockyard.
All personnel, all personnel, prepare for launch. Repeat, prepare for launch.
All around the bridge and below, soldiers, crew, and technicians rushed for their stations. Their designated officers reporting in all individuals of their assigned areas before sending the reports to the bridge. Pilots and hangar staff ensured all fighters were locked in place as well as any vehicles that were carried upon the warship. The vessel had come to life and it had yet to even launch from its dockyard.
Engine room reported a hundred percent readiness of thrusters and main engines. Further stations reported green lights across the board as they reported themselves ready for the first launch of the Mandator IV. Nicademus reviewed the reports quickly as the finishing operations were completed and the last departments of the vessel reported in. Then suddenly, a silence fell upon the bridge, with only the klaxons going off in the pre-launch operations. All officers were facing the Emperor as he stood silently.
This was the moment, the ship could launch and fly through the stars or falter and plunge them towards Nirauan. Nicademus could feel the tension in the air as this was the dreadnoughts maiden launch. The continuation of this ship's existence rested upon the success of the next few moments. Swelling himself with confidence, Nicademus gives the order.
Tell the dockyard to release the couplings. Tell engine crew to give us thrust within launch parameters.
The orders went out.
Seconds later, loud clanks were heard as, in pairs, the massive magnetic couplings released. When the final two released, the ship did not fall but hovered within space. The communication's officer gives the second order. Soon enough, the Mandator IV slowly lumbered out of the confines of the shipyard and towards open space. Nicademus walked over to one of the consoles, examining the statistics flooding in from the engine room, then moves over to the communications station. There was nothing heard, no reports of falters or anything. Within a short time, the dreadnought was beyond the dockyards and moving through open space.
Doctor Gallus steps forward, bowing to the Emperor.
Your Majesty, I give you the Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought. The first of its kind.
Nicademus looks out as the vessel turns to be parallel to the planet of Nirauan.
Have you continued working on the orbital autocannons, Doctor?
Indeed, Your Majesty. We have a target set up on the planet to be used as practice, an abandoned base used by the Empire of the Hand. The ship's crew already has the coordinates and, by your command, they will move the ship to over orbit the facility.
The Emperor gave the order and the warship made its way to begin its live firing test.

Vlusu had been visiting Niruan for the momentous occasion of the launching of the ship. He had taken his ship, the Imperial Envoy. It was currently sitting out in orbit. He had taken a commander’s glider to the shipyard, and had boarded the ship from there. He had hung back, observing the proceedings. Always analyzing. He then noticed his friend from Prakith, Harnan Ren on the bridge. However, he was to lost in thought to give his full attention.

"'Mandator'... I at least approve of the name." *Soku stood upon the bridge with his arms folded behind his back, staring out the viewport from behind the Supreme Commander. He had heard the initial reports, of course, but the Knight of Ren had yet to witness the ship in action for himself. He absolutely had to be present for this; pending its success, the development of this vessel may have very well been absolutely worth the forced treaty with the Galactic Alliance.
But that for now remained to be seen.*

Merrik Piett had arrived a few days prior aboard the Cruiser Dark Web, now sitting in position at the edge of Nirauan's gravity well. Coordinating various security measures for the unveiling had eaten up his time for the last few days but it was all worth it as Merrik was on the bridge when the Emperor arrived having stationed himself with at the security station overseeing the half dozen officers assigned to the terminals there rather than with the Emperors esteemed company. Although technically the Acting directer of Imperial Intelligence he was dressed in his commander's uniform and would likely be mistaken for part of the crew by anyone who didn't already know his face. He kept half an eye on the reports of personnel moves on and off the ship as he prepares to witness the first test of the mighty dreadnought. Today was going to be a glorious day for the Empire.

A few days prior to the launch of the Mandator IV Dreadnought, Admiral Needa had arrived in the Niruan System. As a captain during the Clone Wars, he had personally seen, though not fought on board, one of the Mandator IIs. These massive ships were the pride and joy of the Republic, and though they hardly saw any action, as they were so fearsome that the Separatists made a point of avoiding them, he had been one of the lucky few who had seen the ship in all it's power, glory, and splendor. While at the shipyards, he had been a point of interest for off-duty officers. These were a part of the new generation, and they were anxious to hear the stories he had of battles ranging from the Clone Wars to the very end of the Empire. Each of them were anxious to hear the stories of a bygone age, one that he was a relic of. He truthfully enjoyed telling these stories, as they could teach very valuable lessons on what to do and what not to do. He had met a few memorable characters, and a few not so memorable ones.
On the day of the launch, Garrick was standing near the front of the bridge, observing the efficiency of the crew, noting things here and there to tell the Emperor at some point. He had a commanding presence, being one of the most experienced men on board. He observed the Emperor, who was bursting with pride at his researcher's monumental achievement. Similar to him when he first fought along side a Mandator II or Executor Dreadnought. The overwhelming emotions he was feeling reminded Needa of himself at a younger age. He noticed a few people among the crowd which he would have to get to know. A Chiss Moff, a strange, hooded figure, and an enormous man clad in shining armor. However, now was not the time for this. For now, he would watch over the crew and the ship. Knowing there was going to be a firing test, he was curious about how the ship compared to the Mandator II.

Having heard the rumors and confirmed them through his own channels within the First Order, the former High Admiral of the First Order Navy stood in the cockpit of his Scimitar Infiltrator. Present with him was the entirety of his senior naval command crew along with the recently anointed High Admiral, Harlan Petrovsky. The gargantuan vessel, the Mandator IV-Class Siege Dreadnought was being released from her docking clamps as she was officially entering service within the First Order navy. Having his own opinions of the newly self-proclaimed Emperor, Nicademus, the Zabrak had to admit that he certainly was a capable leader. Not that he'd ever actually admit that to the Emperor, but there it was. After all these years, Savage could honestly say that Nicademus had earned his respect. His drive for order and unification of a galaxy that was an utter mess was impressive. And his desire to push the limits of the technology they had been creating was astounding. The Mandator IV-Class Siege Dreadnought was a testament to that. Outmatching every vessel within the First Order Navy, it was a true testament to the military might of the First Order. Should this fragile peace between the Galactic Alliance and the First Order be shattered, the Alliance would be eradicated within months. Even with all this secrecy around the Mandator IV, Savage knew that even a man such as Nicademus couldn't keep a ship this size hidden for much longer. Especially now that it was entering active service. The Alliance would be foolish to break the forced peace treaties now. Savage merely continued to watch as the officers behind him spoke among themselves, marveling at the sheer size of the Mandator IV.

Your Majesty, dreadnought has positioned itself over the designated target.
An ensign salutes Nicademus as the Imperial waves him away casually. He turns to the main gunnery officer, nodding to the man affirmatively. The officer turns in his chair, keying his headset to give orders for autocannon crews.
Orbital autocannon station, you have been cleared for charging of main guns.
Far below, within the center of the massive ship, crews began to work hard at charging the main guns. The two orbital autocannons began to adjust themselves as the bridge crew began speaking with the gunnery crews below. Coordinations were made to ensure the guns were angled correctly and targets were located. Each gun carried a load of six to eight rounds per salvo. Its capacity, charge, and rate were enhanced by research crews during the development of the warship. Doctor Gallus was proud of this moment, knowing the test would go without any trouble nor delay. Eventually, a crew member was reporting the charging rate of the guns.
20%...
55%...
69%...
81%...
92%...
Your Majesty, we are fully charged at one hundred percent. Awaiting your orders!
Nicademus remains silent, gazing out of the viewport at the surface of Nirauan. Behind him, those that had gathered were given a holo-image view of the base in question. An Empire of the Hand military outpost that had been abandoned after its conquest by the First Order. Many of these outposts were used for a number of weapons tests. This one was certainly to be obliterated by the live firing test. It was the moment of truth now and the Imperial was ready to see the true firepower of this vessel.
Nicademus walks over to the station, taking the headset from the officer with the gunnery crews below. He keys the microphone.
Fire!
Six rounds of concentrated laser fire blasts forth from the autocannons and strike down to the planet's surface. The holoimage behind Nicademus would flare slightly as the base was hit with all six rounds. Once the flares went down, almost nothing of the base remained. Senior military staffing began to clap their approval as Doctor Gallus bows to them and his liege. Nicademus pulls away from the station, turning to look at Gallus.
Imperator...
Your Majesty?
This vessel shall be named the Imperator.
It was a proper name for such a vessel with great firepower and potential.
Make another as well... name her the Imperatrix. For, with these two vessels, the First Order will rule the galaxy.
By your will, Your Majesty.

For a few moments, Admiral Needa stood in silence, contemplating the power of this weapon. It was worthy of the Imperial Weapons Bureau, and much more practical than most of the ridiculous projects they had proposed. He was certainly not awed by the power of this weapon, seeing as he had witnessed a planet vaporized by the Death Star, and had seen the Death Star II in action during the battle of Endor. Never the less, it was quite a feat, and worthy of the First Order. Garrick joined the rest of the military staff in applause, lauding the achievements of the various scientists and researchers who had worked so hard to make this possible. In reality, they were the ones to truly credit for this; he would have to make a not to congratulate the men on the research team individually; they certainly deserved the highest praise.

Harnan noted the arrival of Vlusu upon the bridge. But made no move to greet his new companion. Mostly because within moments, they Mandator IV was ready to test fire it’s pair of autocannons. Weapons he was not particularly familiar. Not that he suspected many others gathered here to watch the test were any more familiar with them than he was. But soon they would all know the weapons destructive might.
His gaze settling upon Nicademus then. Watching as the man ordered the weapons charge, before personally ordering the weapons fire. His gaze shifting to the holodisplay to watch as the fired rounds obliterated the old Empire of the Hand base. Turning it to little more than dust and smoking ruins. The entire senior command staff applauding their new technological terror. Yet still it paled in comparison to the power of the Force. Not that any of these First Order fools could ever comprehend that.
And already Nicademus was naming the vessel. Using a title for Emperor that had been used by one or two Empires of the past. Well and truly in line with the mans personality. Dedicating the first vessel to himself, and its sister vessel to Illaria Ren. The newly crowned Empress and wife of Nicademus. Whom, mere moments before the weapon firing, had snuck onto the bridge. Silently observing everything from the shadows. Unnoticed by almost everyone but a small few. Harnan being one of them

Sire, before you depart, there is one other project for you.
Nicademus had been prepared to leave but paused in turning away from the viewport to look at Doctor Gallus. Another project? It did make the Imperial curious as to what Gallus had planned. The answer to his question came when an angular and strange looking starfighter flew by the viewport, appearing for a split second before vanishing into the darkness of space. This did catch the eye of the senior military staff as Nicademus approached the viewport. No one reported anything on the sensors, but something was obviously there. A transmission came on.
Doctor Gallus, permission to deactivate the stealth system?
Permission granted, Captain Targus.
The moment that permission was granted, something did appear on the sensors of the Mandator IV. The starfighter in question then swooped down for it be visually seen in contrast to the gray plating of the warship. From its appearance, it appeared to look like a TIE Interceptor. Yet it was definitely not that as the wings and cockpit looked enormously different. Doctor Gallus gestures to the small craft.
Your Imperial Majesty, I would like to present you a new TIE prototype. The TIE/vn Space Superiority Fighter, codenamed the TIE Silencer. Specifications include hyperspace, deflector shielding, stealth system, four laser cannons and two missile launchers. It is the fastest starfighter in the galaxy.
Nicademus listens calmly as his eyes viewed the sight of the starfighter.
Are there any problems with its speed?
There are, Sire. It is wise that only the most skilled aces or force-sensitive persons be allowed to pilot this starfighter. Its agility and speed would cause any amateur pilot to panic and crash. We are hoping to create a slower variant, but those plans are still in the workshops.
Nicademus listens to the approval of the senior military staffing, making the Emperor agree with it.
You have my permission to continue with the production and polishing of this starfigher. I want a flight of them ready for usage as soon as possible.
By your will, Your Majesty.

With the formal creation of a pro-Imperial nation to govern the Chiss people, the First Order begins a full evacuation of Nirauan in accordance with an agreement signed between the two sovereign nations. The Emperor, showing his good will to the Chiss, decides to hand over the planet and its value to the newly arisen Empire of the Hand. The Imperial Military thoroughly removes technology, data, and other necessities of the Imperial Military Research division and formally moves it to the planet of Dubrillion, the headquarters of the Imperial Intelligence. It would take some months, but with the Ad Victoriam Squadron in orbit and several divisions of Imperial engineers and soldiers at their disposal, the removal of the Imperial Military Research assets is set to be done on schedule.

The ships of the Light Brigade fleet had exited hyperspace first. The Chiss Dominion Light Destroyer, Chiss Dominion Carrier, and 10 Chiss Warships cutting a line straight through the vastly under-prepared forces of the Empire of the Hand. Nssis-Class Clawcraft and Chiss Dominion Bombers flooded out into the battle to deal with the meager defence that was being mounted. Nytherias stood calmly upon the bridge of The Salvation as the Aegis of Light fleet exited hyperspace soon after. The new lines of Sword-class Clawcraft and Shield-class Clawcraft started deploying from the fleet and joining the Light Brigades attack.
Forcing open a hole in the defenders ranks allowed the Bulwark and Rondache to push close to the planet. There, transports loaded with Sword & Shield Dominion Troopers, Sword & Shield Dominion Commandos, and their accompanying armored units spilled forth and headed for the Hand of Thrawn. Nytherias and the troops aboard The Salvation quickly joined the landing party, with Chiss Dominion Bombers, Sword-class Clawcraft, and Shield-class Clawcraft flying tight formations to protect the transports

From the bridge of Bastion Tennyson watched as the last remnants of the hold out fleet either surrendered, or were destroyed outright. Nytherias deployed his troops, and so did Tennyson. She had far fewer to deploy, but her marines would help at least secure the landing zones. Leading them would be Vice-Admiral Rothchild with the help of Chief Enforcer Kyoshi. It wouldn't be long now. Their sudden onslaught before the given time for which the ultimatum would be up, caught these holdouts flat footed and many of their forces were not in place yet. A general message was sent out by Tennyson, promising amnesty for any Hand forces that surrendered and joined the Dominion. Their were some takers, but not enough to utterly unravel the enemy. Now it would be up to the armies to finish the job, as orbital strikes were out of the question. Tennyson would not risk harming the civilian population.

Many days and weeks had passed since the liberation of Nirauan by the Sword & Shield Dominion. In that time, salvage crews had worked tirelessly to clear the wreckage from orbit and construction crews were well underway in constructing the super-structures of the modified Golan III Space Defence NovaGuns. Unlike their cousins, this pair of Golan III's had been modified to support MegaMaser Cannons in place of the Turbolasers seen throughout the galaxy. They were, in a manner of speaking, temporary solutions until Chiss designers could come up with defence stations of their own

A cluster of vessels exit hyperspace. Among them were a trio of Resurgent-class Battlecruisers with many transports and cargo vessels. A strange mixture, considering that this was the Unknown Region. It was a flotilla that was off the records, their existence removed by order of the late Emperor and the Director of Imperial Intelligence. Why? Well, there were a couple reasons. Namely to ensure the secrecy of a construct that the late Emperor felt would be necessary in the next reign to come. Secondly, it was to find a suitable world to create as a base for the purpose of a future that may be uncertain. And at the end of these vessels was the supposedly dead Admiral Rendrake.
Once they scanned the system, checking for any possible hostiles or unknowns, a secret message was sent to a disclosed location within the Unknown Region. From the depths of hyperspace, an immense warship dropped out and into existence. Codenamed, the Legalitas Project, it was intended to create an advanced, state-of-the-art flagship for the Imperial Navy. One that would become the 'Executor' of the New Empire. Measuring at eight thousand meters, it was still relatively unfinished, but had the means to move and jump with much of the crew operating at the bridge, which had the systems to support life.
Admiral Rendrake ordered the vessel to the dark side of the planet where its existence could remain hidden and undisturbed. With a legion of workers, agents, and Stormtroopers, he further ordered detachments to the Hand of Thrawn. This was the secondary purpose: to renew the old Ordnance/Regional Depot system, or Ord, which was popularized during the Pius Dea era. These military outposts served as a network of forward military and scout bases for the Republic Navy. A number of worlds, most notably Ord Mantell, held the name as an indication of their past. Nirauan would serve the purpose of a renewed depot, a secretly held world of the First Order to serve as a base for preservation and renewal if the time came.
A secret that would be held by every Emperor and every Director of Imperial Intelligence.
For the Preservation of the New Order, the First Order, and all Imperialism.

Protected by a screen of four Star Destroyers, Nirauan was the center of an effort to stock and prepare for what could happen to the Empire in a time of crisis. In fact, there was an individual present here to learn from a veteran commander of the Imperial Navy, Admiral Tar-Fereus, who was an Anaxes Imperial, descended from a long line of commanders, officers, and pilots of the Imperial Navy, dating since the Clone Wars. Remus Delvardus, recently elevated to the rank of Adjutant Officer, an honorary more than an official rank, to give him first hand experience upon a larger vessel. It was likely that, once the war was over, the Emperor would grant him command of a vessel to begin his younger brother's full career within the Imperial Navy. And this would likely be under the very same mentor that he learned under today. Admiral Tar-Fereus commanded the Thirty-First Imperial Flotilla or the Star Scourge Fleet. His command vessel was an Imperious-class Star Destroyer, christened as the Star Scourge, a warship of the Fel Empire era.
Nirauan was becoming a hub of major military activity, ordered directly by the Emperor. A handful of trustworthy and loyal officers commanded the garrisons, the drills, and the operations that were building Nirauan into a modern day Imperial Fortress world, like those of the post-Endor era. Supplies were brought in daily, munitions stored, weapons cached, and Stormtroopers trained for a future that may or may not come.
