I didnt see any problems with it mate... and in my book, she is still yours untill she dies, or you cant rescue her from her rather shitty predicament. I never meant to put her in an impossible situation, just a rather fracking tricky one.
I cant be the bad guy AND be cute... but I also like it when the good guys win, so ... yeah. If you know what I mean.

DEV: I've written posts that were as short as three words long, and as long and extensive as thirty-seventy thousand words long - Simon can attest to my old-guard style "mythic" posts! I can honestly say writing characters can be challenging, finding their voice can be challenging, but when you find it, you KNOW when you've found it. I think you've found Devlin's voice, and in that context sometimes writing and being in the brain of one character can be taxing enough - s don't sweat over the little posts that just keep things moving ^_^ MYR: You know...I honestly think I'm going to have Lordran try and kidnap you. I mean, you just practically confirmed the fact you're a Jedi right there in front of him. ATIA: Good writing, good progress! Loving what I'm seeing! EDIT: Oooh! Over a 100 replies, over a 1000 views on this thread ALONE. It looks like, finally, FINALLY, one of my Vandelhelm schemes has taken off. Well, as generous as that sounds Ronin, I'm afraid I'll have to decline. See, we just got started on RP here for Vandelhelm...I'm afraid that moving it so soon would disrupt our team's cohesiveness. Additionally, many of our teams stories tie in directly to the planet, and aren't really interchangeable to another planet. My advice to find RP on your planet is to rotate through different ideas...you can ask Simon here on this thread just how many schemes I've gone through to get RP started on Vandelhelm -_-. Sometimes ideas just don't take... If theres any assistance I can offer, do hit me up through a PM though! |

Dante: It's just I've been writing on this site since Facebook, and I expect better from myself....I have high standards for myself. And yes, I think I have Devlin figured out very well. I've always done well with merc characters. My second ever character was a Sith mercenary with a huge mouth. lol. Nan- I trust you to make things interesting, but causing more problems and making Devlin runners from the law doesn't really help him. As long as there's booze he can adapt though. >.> And finally Ronin ~ I thought I posted you a link for a Sith character that was looking for a place to write. Because that would be a clear connection between Lyons and Bateman.
Bateman has very clear plans for lyons and his men, and none are what you call "Good Media attention".
He wants the local rivals off the face of Vandelhelm, and Lyons will be his tool, until the forces of good can stop his ploy.

Let's hope that I survive this....I'd rather not die....but I really think we should've tried lawyers or telling Simon's boss, who's on our payroll, to let me go first.......drum up some faulty evidence or some kind of false alibi for Devlin.......I watch too many Cop/Detective/Crime shows/movies...... -.-

Well...you don't actually have the pistol. You have his slugthrower and lightfoil.....but he locked his 434 in his safe back in his apartment....Which Nan wrote being cleaned out by a team, getting rid of any weapons and anything incriminating.....soooooo.......
All you can prove is that you were shot by the murder weapon. You have no proof that it was ever in Devlin's possession.....
While the testimony of a decorated V-Sec officer will have weight....without the blaster and proof of ownership....I couldn't logically see a conviction.
Not trying to wiggle out of it, just thinking through this.

I had...a strange and whacky idea. Dunno, some of my main concerns are to keep our group going, and ideas that keep a forward momentum. So, with that in mind, bear with me.
What if the end result had Dev, Simon, Myr, and Dante all working in V-Sec together? I mean, feasibly, this could happen with Simon and Dante as both technically work in law enforcement. This could further feasibly work with Dev and Myr in deputized roles. RP could be perpetuated by having a central law enforcement type of team that is central to the planet, and then bringing in outside parties who play the roles of criminals causing mischief on the planet.
I dunno, it was just an idea honestly, and maybe the idea has merit or it doesn't. Just throwing ideas out to help continue RP or otherwise contribute to the amazing writing that's going on. ^_^

You forget, Devlin, Monroe has cameras for eyes. It's a good train of thought though, and just made me just realize that the loophole I built in might not actually work. I may have just outsmarted myself... Lol. |
