Dear friends, We are pleased to unveil Shaman Chill's hard work: Jedi vs Sith now has a chat feature integrated into this site! There are three ways to access the new chat system: - The Chat button in the bottom left corner of any forum webpage will open a chat window within the current page
- The Chat button at the top of any page (next to the Galaxy Map button) will open a full page chat window in a new browser tab
- From any mobile or web browser, you can use the direct url jedivsith.chatango.com
This version of JvS Chat is hosted by Chatango. (We take no responsibility for the conduct of other Chatango users). Although it's not required to register an account on Chatango to use our chat, there are some features not available to unregistered users, such as being able to choose your font and text color or save a display picture. The rules of chat are the same as outlined in the Natural Laws for the rest of the site. We hope that you will enjoy using it, and we welcome your feedback below. We intend for this system to replace the AJAXChat system used on the old site. ~The Whill Council |

It'll take some getting used to but it should be fun, though a question: Will there be some way to hide the tab in the bottom left? Not a big deal, just curious.

Will there be some way to hide the tab in the bottom left? That should be possible. Stay tuned. If you edit your profile and go to Personal Settings, there is now a check box to hide the chat tab in the bottom left corner. I'm not sure how reliable the setting is, so let me know if you see any weird behavior. |

You think it might be possible to create an automated message in AJAX, directing people to the new chat who may not know about it? Not sure who that may be, but just in case. If it's not possible or too much effort, it's not too big a deal.

It is possible, it was done on a different site i was on that used AJAX for chat

You might want to specify those, but here's an issue: It won't show up at all, either in the corner or on the chat page itself. I have a tab of it open still so I dunno if anyone still logged in can see if it still works but I can't load a new tab of it in Chrome or Firefox. Dunno if temporary glitch on Chatango's side or something's up on my end.
EDIT: Seems fine now. It's only working to spite me for asking if there was a problem, but joke's on it, my reporting the issue fixed it!

I can't get it working at all. When it loads up I have a bit at the bottom missing, though if its only me then don't worry about it. Could be an ad problem. Actually, the whole site is acting flaky for me. Again, could be where I am.

Look at the top of the screen, under the toolbar, where all the useful little buttons are. The one on the far right says "Chat" and will open it in its own window.

Yeah... I got that far. I'm not totally stupid ya'know, though its nice to see your opinion of me hasn't changed.  It opens fine but its missing the bottom as if there was an ad there that's been blocked but has left a shadow where it was. Again, the site itself seems very problematic for me and it could be because I'm out of the country and using a suspect connection. Still, other sites aren't giving me as many problems. I think its the ads. They're fast and furious on proboards and on or off the blocker could be causing problems. How's it going anyway, Kev? Long time. |

Doesn't seem to want to respond to me at all. I can see you and Cath talking but nothing I type appears on the thread. Strange.
