So, being the avid Halo fan that I am I was curious about the general impression that the above mentions games are giving off. Personally, I am stoked that they are releasing all four core Halo games on one disc, and Halo 2 is finally getting its anniversary edition. As for Halo 5: Guardians, I am more intrigued about the Master Chief's disappearance and the story line more than anything else.
Anyways, I just wanted opinions, good or bad. Go!

The Arbiter was in the E3 reveal, in Agent Locke's visor reflection. I'm looking for to Arby coming back.

Indeed. He's pretty awesome looking! But it will certainly be nice to have him back.

Well to lead off I am going to say spoilers.
So far we know either from books, speculation and reveals that the Shangelli aren't all that centralized. One faction is led by Thel Vaddam (Arbiter) the other by Jul Maddama. We also know that ONI is looking to keep the Elites as allies just not in a position to be a galactic power, and as such have supported terrorists like Jul whereas people like Terrance Hood want nothing but peace.
I feel like we are going to have three playable character. The Spartan VI working to capture/kill Thel while John despite his years of conditioning disobeys orders and tries to stop this new guy. All the while also playing as Elites again because that was sick as hell.
The only way I see cheif ever disobeying orders is if he is doing it to protect humanity as a whole. Which means ONI is doing something really bad that could lead to Ragnorak.
Perhaps this has something to do with the story board art where we can clearly see a human settlement made of covenant ships. Perhaps a human/elite/grunt/jackal colony that could seriously hurt the image of these aliens as evil menacing creatures and then create sympathy. You know a whole generation of warriors will still want war kind of thing.
Now the Master Cheif pack is a great thing. Four games, a beta and a code to see a mini series. 343 does something right!!!! I will get that and it will be the only game I ever need to buy until the release of Gaurdians and whatever they call 6.

So, we are days away from the release of Halo 5: Guardians. I just received my Halo 5 edition Xbox One and am pretty stoked to play Guardians on the 27th.

So IGN did a recent update from 343 Industries saying that Halo 5 could have a chance of coming to the PC, which I am honestly happy about. There hasn't been a Halo game on the PC since Halo 2 and the upcoming Halo Wars 2 has me 50/50; mostly because I did not like Halo Wars when I used to be an Xbox player. It would be nice to have another Halo game for the PC cause I really do miss playing them.

For those who have played H5: Guardians, thoughts and opinions on it, please. And try to be considerate to those who have not played it yet. No spoilers.

The story had a nice build-up, but the ending kinda left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Like, all these awesome moments, only to say "Whelp, here's to waiting for Halo 6."

Agreed. The game in general was very well done, in my opinion. The story was solid. But the end kinda soured me a bit. But it does make you look forward to the sixth installment. Halo 4 was solid story-wise, but other then that it didn't do it for me. H2A was truly awesome. But with the MCC's broken launch, it had me very skeptical on how H5 was going to play out. 343i did a good job in this game. Waiting patiently for the next one.
