*Torrick couldn't argue the point. In fact it was fairly well thought out he had to admit. Mecetti wasn't exactly known for it's ability to make friends. It had worked with other houses in the past but there had never truly been any trust involved in those relations. If Melantha and Barnaba made moves against Mecetti most of the other houses would keep out and hope to gain advantage with whoever came out the victor. Snorting slightly he responds to the younger man*
Let's not have any illusions here. Melantha isn't doing anything "right" or "just" or however you want to play it. They want power and they have the means to get it. I will however concede the point that a Melantha is a far superior option to Mecetti treachery or this farce of a Galactic Alliance we have now. *The Jedi Nobleman looked thoughtful for a moment.* I will have to talk to my brother, but I believe we would be amenable to this arrangement, assuming we get properly rewarded when the Empire is established *He gives the other man a weighted look. As far as bets go with galactic politics this was a relatively safe move, but he would still be risking a lot by taking up with this man and his dream of Tapani reborn. Of course there really wasn't any other choice, not with the Alliance collapsing and the First Order running rampant through the galaxy.*

Graemon was waiting for the reward to be offered.
There is indeed a reward awaiting you and your household, Torrick.
The Fondorian reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small data tablet, handing it to the Jedi.
I believe this will interest you greatly.
Before Torrick's very eyes was the plan to create a force sensitive guard, the Tapani Knights, to serve as the personal bodyguards of the Emperor. Modeled similarily with the Imperial Knights, it was their duty to serve not only the Force but the Empire and the Emperor. To be his sword and shield in battle, to be the hammer of his justice, and the eyes beyond the borders of the would-be nation.
I believe a member of your house would be best suited to be the first Grandmaster.

Two hours. She had been up here for two hours. This was a really bad idea. She was atop a massive spire, with w massive amount of cold wind blowing in her face. Large gusts of tiny pieces of ice blew in her face, with sharp pieces cutting into her skin. However, she had an infrared visor attached to her helmet, and was looking at the target building. It was a commercial structure, used as a restaurant. Figures walked around inside it, though she was unconcerned with them. She had been hired to take out one man. An enforcer for one of the Hutt cartels that had gone rogue. As she sat on the rooftop, overlooking the single entrance into the building, she took careful note of her surroundings again. Atop this spire, she was safe unless there was another sniper that could see her. In which case she was dreadfully overexposed. There were two large metal structures that obscured the majority of the restaurant, leaving only a small space in between that overlooked the door. However, she was hanging upside-down from the spire. With the infrared goggles, she could see everyone in the building. Her target, who would be marked in yellow to distinguish him from the other people who were red. Double checking the surroundings one more time, she settled in for a longer wait.

Half an hour later, she was still hanging there upside-down. She was just about to go and reposition elsewhere when she noticed yellow in her field of view. Her target. She steadied her rifle and aimed for his head. It was then that he passed by the wall that blocked the glass windows. She sighed. It would probably take a while before he’d come out again. So she continued waiting.

With the Corellian Coalition ratified, its birth was met with mixed reactions across the Tapani Sector. The vigorous campaign, conducted by Baron Gorgano, and aided by Fondorian native, Mike Frantz, had done its work and secured the necessary votes to ratify the measure, but the nobility of Tapani were divided on the benefits of throwing behind this agreement. Diplomatic measures were taken to secure their cooperation, willingly or not. The Baron Gorgano, who had risen to be the overall leader of the sector, would not see his home divided. Thus necessary negotiations were done to secure the cooperation of the nobility. Graemon hoped that, with time, they would warm to the idea.

Despite the democratic reforms that helped bring change to the sector, there was still a strong presence of the guilds and nobility that ran the system. The guilds still managed the major shipyards and mercantile affairs of the Union while the nobility managed the land and still harnessed power within the region. Nonetheless, there were checks and balances, to the previous orders, to ensure that they cooperated with the new structure of government and could still contribute and benefit, but not gain too much power. Back then, Director Gorgano had worked hard and diligently to ensure this new form was strong and cohesive. The guilds were needed and so were the nobility as the traditions of the Tapani Sector were sacred and ingrained into the society. It would be wrong to overturn them. So, the Baron sought to integrate them to ensure a community, one that could last.

Amy brought the Vigil down for a landing at the assigned landing location given to her by Oridin control, letting the Lancer-class ship's autopilot do its thing, though she kept an eye on it, half expecting it to nosedive them into the surface, but it didn't, this time.
She landed and exited the ship, putting on her helmet before heading down the boarding ramp. Her armour was beskar'kandar, unpainted, though the small boar sigil she bore on a plate showed her Clan's signet. She chose not to fly the colours, as some Mando'ade did. Your armour was a personal thing, and she hadn't felt the need to adorn hers.
Fondor's shipyards had worked for many different galactic governments down the millennia, she knew. That was why she had come here, they could make anything, and her Mando brethren weren't likely to be able to snoop on what she was doing here, which she liked. She could pay, and hopefully the Fondorians would be amenable to a deal.Amy strode into Oridin proper, pulling up a local public access holo to find the nearest office for Fondor Shipyards. Once she had the location, she headed directly there. She could explore later, all planets seemed the same to her; safe, civilized, orderly, not like home.
The plainly armoured Mando female entered the offices of Fondor Shipyards to see a being about a ship.Hello?Graemon Gorgano

The plainly armoured Mando female entered the offices of Fondor Shipyards to see a being about a ship.Hello? The Guild of Shipwrights had two headquarters, one located within the shipyards and another on the planet. The former directed the necessary routines and maintenance of the shipyards, ensuring orders were met on time, had the right personnel assigned and resources allotted. The latter was where the Guild supervised the larger operations that helped the shipyards run and performed its usual executive duties. As a result, both were hives of activity with many races, both native to the Tapani Sector and not. A number of Mon Calamari, exiles from the Sack of Mon Cala, were seen within the halls and lobby. Their skills, as shipbuilders, was welcomed.
One of the Shipwright secretaries would approach the Mandalorian when she entered. The person, in question, was a male Duros.=Duros= You must be the Mandalorian. The Duros stated as he pulls out a datapad.=Duros= Give us the orders details and we will see to everything else. Half payment now, the remainder when the order is completed. No one here was up for any pleasantries. To talk, beyond business, meant delays and no one here liked delays.

Amy watched the Duros approach, and listened carefully as he explained the terms of contract with Fondor Shipyards. She appreciated his efficiency and brevity, and was amused by calling her 'The Mandalorian' though she supposed they didn't get many Mando'ade here. She drew her own datapad slowly, so as not to spook the Duros. Mandalorians sometimes had that effect when they moved too swiftly in the presence of aruetiise. Here's what I want. She transmitted full plans for the Carrion Spike, a somewhat famous vessel utilized by Grand Moffs and other senior figures throughout history. It wasn't a small request, which was why she had sought out the very best shipwrights. Appended to the plans were a credit transfer link to one of Kaine's MandalArms accounts, which was well able to handle the cost of producing a capital-class vessel. Fondor would be able to withdraw the credits as needed for the production costs.I will require access to the construction dock during production. She was paying well enough, and she wanted to be part of the process, to observe her vessel taking shape, and for Fondor to know she cared about how well they produced their ships. She knew it might be a strange request, and somewhat an affront to their pride.I'd like to see your people in action. I give you my word I will not interfere or get in the way.Amy waited to see if the Duros would acquiesce to her request.Graemon Gorgano

I'd like to see your people in action. I give you my word I will not interfere or get in the way.Amy waited to see if the Duros would acquiesce to her request. The Duros's eyebrow went up at the sight of the plans. His red eyes look up from the datapad, looking at Amaranth Australis, then down at the ship plans of the Carrion Spike. Odd choice of a ship to be requested by a Mandalorian. He scans the blueprints, examining the various details and becoming familiar with the overall schematics. The secretary then clicks a few buttons, getting the order form ready to be dispatched for approval.=Duros= It may be a day or two before approval is granted. The secretary explains to the customer.=Duros= Given this particular ship, the order will require some... examination and debate. Stealth ships are not commonly manufactured after all and gaining the necessary parts will require time to acquire. A call from a representative, of the Guild, will reach out once it's approved... or if it is.The male states as he puts his datapad away.=Duros= Anything else I can help with?

The Duros male puts his datapad away.=Duros= Anything else I can help with? Amy shook her helmeted head.My comm code is there if you need to contact me. I'll stay in town. With that out of the way, Amy turned and exited the offices, heading into Oridin to find a suitable place to get a room for a few nights. Somewhere she could take off her armour and maybe even sleep for a few hours. Then, if she had time, she could explore. Graemon Gorgano

My comm code is there if you need to contact me. I'll stay in town. Eventually, after several plus weeks, a communication from Fondor Shipyards was sent to Amaranth Australis. It indicated that her order was ready for her inspection in orbit. If it met her approval, payment would be made and control transferred to her name.

Amy recieved the transmission, and sent back an acknowledgement that she would arrive shortly. With that, she checked out of her lodgings and made for the spaceport. Soon she was aboard her ship and headed skyward...

=A couple weeks later....=
A datapad was handed to the newly elected Consul, Valerian, while at a meeting with members of the Union's political and military elite. The aide bowed quietly before Valerian took the datapad into hand. A new election had occurred within the Coalition, seeing the rise of the Union's Senator of Thyferra, Salvor, to the chair of Prime Minister. Starmane, running as a co-depty, was made junior to that office. It was likely that Starmane wanted to step back and focus on the FedDub, but still be of assistance to the Coalition's newly elected leadership. Some shuffling followed with his brother remaining on the cabinet as Director of ColSec and a few other familiar names being placed to fill the close advisers of the Prime Minister Argon.
With a few days, information from Baron Gorgano and the Coalition Military started flooding in to the Union's leadership and thus this meeting was called. It seemed the newly elected leader of the Coalition was putting the fleets on high alert and military readiness was set to 'at a minute's notice' given some recent events. There was the occurrences at Corellia and Thyferra that indicated a probe of sorts. It wasn't anything truly threatening, but it still made the leadership raise their eyebrows. The mention of Australis did cause Valerian to raise an eyebrow when he read the new orders.
=Valerian= Send a report to Coalition High Command and the Prime Minister about the Australis who just purchased the Carrion Spike from us.
The Consul states as the aide bows her head once more. With him were those among the leadership of the Union: Admiral Gates, Senator Konshi of Kiffu, Senator Camalon of Fondor (on holovid), and several others that represented the most powerful and capable of the Union. The Consul exhales slightly, rubbing his temple slightly.
=Valerian= We all expected the Imperials... now it seems to be gun-ho Mandalorians.
Just what they needed. Especially given that Argon, prior to his election, had gone to speak with Clan Fett. Given a report from that meeting and negotiations, Clan Australis were rogues. They did things for themselves and for the betterment of their own agenda while paying lip service to Mandalore. The question was just how powerful were they now. Senator Konshi had grown up during the Australis reign over Kiffu and Kiffex. His knowledge would prove invaluable, but potentially outdated.
=Valerian= The Coalition Third Fleet will begin regular patrols of Union territory. I will also contact the Prime Minister in order to cooperate with the fleet that patrols and monitors Thyferra. We must secure our borders and keep an eye out. The Imperials have grown quiet, but another is starting to rumble...

A celebration occurred on Fondor that had become a tradition among the populace. The founding of the Union, and the resulting Coalition, had reinvigorated the hearts of the people who longed for democracy and freedom in the galaxy once more. Though Graemon Gorgano could not attend the festivities due to his duties, he still made a holo-speech ahead of time which was played for the populace. The reigning Consul, his brother, Valerian, oversaw the parades and celebrations. It was quite the ordeal to witness within Oridin City, yet it was one that was much needed. Such times helped the people relax and feel more as a community. A break from their work, their livelihoods, and everything else that bore down upon them. Today, they celebrated as free people of the galaxy.

Times were trying now for the Coalition. Things just didn't feel the same as they were before... despite the happiness of marriage to Lynne Jameroo, there were more worries on the plate of Baron Gorgano than before. Salvor Argon, the third Prime Minister of the Coalition, had stepped down after recent politics and a couple more successors had followed, neither having the will nor the endurance of their predecessors. Even more worrying were the cracks that were starting to appear. His department, C-Sec, had been uncovering various operations of greed, corruption, and sedition that plagued the ailing Republic in its waning years. Unity, as it seemed, was dying slowly and leaving the Coalition open for the dark side of good people to come out and fester.
Looking over these reports of such terrible things made Graemon very worried of what may come. He did his best to keep his department in top shape and even the readiness of the Coalition Third Fleet, but those capable and loyal were few within the Coalition. There was only so much one could do. Graemon could only prepare for what may come... his intelligence had begun to report rumblings to further into the Deep Core and Core regions, within Imperial territory. And it didn't seem to point anywhere else but forward, towards their systems.

Valerian Gorgano was dealing with the reports from across the ailing Coalition. The Third Fleet had to be withdrawn from Talus in order to properly police and defend the region now. The Consul of well... just the Tapani Sector now had seen the reports of Kiffu and Thyferra joining this so called Inner Rim Imperium. Even rumors of Hapes considering a defection too. The Coalition's territories had been halved overnight. He spoke with his wife, his brother, Graemon, and his sister-in-law, Lynne about the state of affairs. All were concerned. Especially with word from Coalition Intelligence of a massive build-up of Imperial forces across the border. The Coalition was woefully unprepared. Valerian was worried to the core of the future of democracy in the galaxy. And yet, they weren't the vast Republic nor the centralized Galactic Alliance... the resources had become even more finite and refugees were only growing more in number now. What was to become of his home?
