This is when I really hate that I can't access the old site at the moment. If I could, I could easily point you all towards what had been established prior and show you all that there where an assembly on Mandalore where the Aliit'alors would and could meet with the Mand'alor.
When it comes to the selection of a Mand'alor, there is no such thing as an election. The Mandalorians carried a culture built on strength and war. In order to advance you had to challenge and prove yourself. Especially in the case of the Mand'alor, this should have been settled in a duel of some kind and with it the Mand'alor could be challenged at anytime and by any Mandalorian. I really think it's important to keep this, otherwise we can no longer consider ourselves Mandalorians. For one I know that IC if an "election" were to happen for Mand'alor, Cath would pull himself and clan Ordo out of this culture and attempt to go for a cleanse on it.
As for the current status of Ashrah, I will talk to Rob and see whats up. If he is just unwilling or won't be able to return in a capacity enough to be Mand'alor, I will pose the issue here. Otherwise, if you want there to be a new Mand'alor, you'll have to challenge him.
Again, I'm here to help in any capacity that I can.
^ This guy gets it. I second this whole-heartedly. It's the way the Mando'ade have always conducted themselves. I know I have seen it done this way since 1.5 and before that probably.

You could try to Elect someone. But it would end poorly IC for whomever was selected. lol!! I just need to work some shit out with Rev, and I will be back. Glad to see you are still around, Ashrah. When it comes to the selection of a Mand'alor, there is no such thing as an election. The Mandalorians carried a culture built on strength and war. In order to advance you had to challenge and prove yourself. For one I know that IC if an "election" were to happen for Mand'alor, Cath would pull himself and clan Ordo out of this culture and attempt to go for a cleanse on it. I think I am one of the few to remember that the first Mand'alor of the JvS Universe was elected by a voting process (and I believe this happened a few more times too). I remember this because I almost won that election by 7 - 5 votes (my opponent was Cassus Fett). Cassus Fett would win by default due to the technicality that prevent my victory and that technically involved the fact that Valstrol was a Sith (this was before I got rid of the Mandalorian background for him). This was back in Universe 1.0 (back when it was on Facebook), I believe...October or November 2007. I remember it like it was yesterday... brings a tear to my eye remembering those days. Anyways, glad at least Ashrah is still around then to be our leader. I guess all we can do is just get the pot stirring again till Ashrah officially returns.

ya know, I really think everyone kinda took my words a little too literally. I used the word election in the broadest sense of the term. I don't know how the conclusion was drawn that there would be some meeting where we voted on a Mand'alor. I just proposed the idea that there was actually other ways in canon in which a Mand'alor was chosen/elected/decided. If we wish to retain the current system, and Ashrah is still around, sweet, but please don't be jumping to conclusions.

The broad term would be getting a big buy'ce and having every Mando throwing a name in. Then whoever gets elected gets the oversized helmet and has to wear it. It's a not so portable house/bunker, with the ability to upgrade into a starship. lol
Joking aside, can't wait to get whatever stories we going to plan rolling. Are we going to start with the reconstruction of Mandalore first, or a convening of the clans?

We could do both at the same time? have some people working on the reconstruction whilst the aliit'alor have their meeting.

Yea I don't see why the calling of the clans can't happen to start the reconstruction.

I apologize if I came across rather disrespectfully, Goran, but I take my Mandalorian RP seriously and frankly with the culture the Mandalorians have had to date on JVS, an election is far beyond question. That's just something I want to clear up before we try to start firing shots back and forth at one another which is something I definitely don't want to see in an OOC context.
Also, told you I'd talk to Rob, lol. Only I guess I lied about telling you myself; he stole my thunder. It's good see that he'll still around though.
As for a convening of the Clan Aliit'alors, I will call for an Assembly on Mandalore in a post tomorrow. There we can propose the future of the Mandalorians as a whole IC. Whether we will still be a "Empire" or if we've transformed into something else. However, we won't make drastic decisions yet, especially without the Mand'alor there. We can discuss the effort to rebuild as well (I already have plans for Ordo and Adumar with my clan).
I hope that I didn't leave anyone out, but if I did, I'm sorry (feel free to yourself in).

You forgot Faust for Clan Skirata.
And what about Clan Or'dinii? Aren't mentioned there.
That's it though. I would edit it in, but the coding is confusing me so I dare not touch it.

Fenri, the reason I didn't put Clan Ordini in originally because do not know if a single writer from that clan is still around. I know Plu had been gone since before the crash of jvs 1.5 in 2013

I know Non-Com posted like a week ago in the Tingel Arm. But however, you do make a point about there being no one around for that clan.

Can't say I ever imagined this guy as an aliit'alor, but seeing as I am the only active Skirata left, I guess by default he would be. Wonder what Reyn would say? As for Faust, I haven't heard from him in a while.

Aeleus is going to be an aliit'alor? IC Aeleus would be honored, but someone sure needs to let him know so he knows to show up to all of the meetings. He can bring donuts.

That's fine Cath, I can completely understand your passion. At least we were able to clear up the misunderstanding quite easily. Anyway, sounds good about calling the assembly tomorrow. I don't have many plans as far as rebuilding goes, mostly because I am leeching off the Yavin Jedi. And the clan list looks good Cath. EDIT: mmm, donuts... i'll be sure to make sure Aeleus knows he is an aliit'alor, cause we need donuts.

I'll make sure to bring the coffee. *Looks around to see if Dazbog saw and is going to show up in a poof of coffee beans* Although, I'm kinda stuck at Juvex. So I'm not sure how to work this out.

A single bean drops from the heavens of the thread. The bean strikes the land at terminal velocity, but leaves no indentation in the soil other than a small burrowing hole. The bean soon sprouts, and grows into a mighty Coffea tree. The tree ages rapidly, until it suddenly splits in two, revealing Dazbog, Whill of Coffee, sitting on a toilet. He covers himself with the newspaper he was reading.
Keep up the good work fellas. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask.
The Coffee Whill and his newspaper fade into nothing. The tree, and the toilet, remain for some odd reason.

Okay....that was...odd.....At least they are paying attention to us. Is that good or bad?
And donuts are indeed a gift from Kad Ha'rangir, for they are always changing in shape, size, and flavor. Eat too many and Arasuum may just wrap his talons around you and drag you to his realm to stuff you with the delicious treats until your heart stops.
So...what kind of damage was done to Mandalore? I was not around for the Crusade, and am unsure what needs to be rebuilt. I'm an amateur with infrastructure such as roads and stuff so I can be specific about those kinds of things.

I don't think any damage was done to Mandalore itself, just a great loss of ships and manpower as well as societal morale due to the results of the Crusade's failure and the Battle of Kuat.
Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression on what I meant by Mandalore recovering from such a grave defeat.
Knowing Ashrah though and our efforts to rebuild in his absence, we will recover quickly from the defeat.
