The boxy shape of the escort shuttle drifted in through the hangar doors, gliding smoothly forward for such an ungainly looking craft. Hovering on repulsors it drifted to a halt and spun slowly to orient its nose back towards the entrance through which it had appeared. With a hiss of vented steam the ship dropped the last couple of meters to land on its extended struts, setting to the duracrete floor with barely a thump. The hatch in the side ground open, dropping to the ground to form a ramp as figures in armour of a riot of colours. Grey and green, red and black, blue and gold, as well as colours more varied were on show as the men and women of clan Vhett stepped off of the confines of the ship to stretch languidly, laughing and joking, in the air of the hangar. There were thirty of them so far, most with helmets and weapons held negligently in hand, knowing they were on friendly ground here. At least, as friendly as a Mando world could get...
Helping Teyr with the cooldown sequence Mereel cast an eye over the hangar, the area that could be seen from the viewport. Ships of various states of repair dotted the confines of the vast space, ships ranging from new Bes'uliik to old enforcers. Larger ships were also in evident he had seen from the trip in, a couple of freighters and a blastboat that appeared to be a modified twenty-four R. The hangar stretched backwards from their position, containing many other vessels he had been unable to inspect but Mereel was given the impression that Clan Ordo's martial might was as good as it had ever been.
Finished with the cooldown Teyr stood and headed aft, muttering to himself in Mando'a. The man did not speak basic at all and Mereel was unsure whether it was a case of 'couldn't' or 'wouldn't'. Either way the guy wasn't the most amiable of companions and the wily veteran wasn't sad to see the back of him. He stood himself and gestured towards the hatch, allowing Sdiara to precede him.
"After you, Al'verde."

Sidara froze where she stood. That was his name. Not hers. She wasn't the commander. HE was. Why would he call her that. She wasn't in charge... she just wasn't.
Al'verde is Corr's title not mine. You can call me Sir, you can call me Sidara or you can call me Vercopa. You MAY NOT call me Al'Verde. Is that very clear??
Sid started to sweat and her chest got tight. She reached up and smoothed her hair back into it's bun and grabbed her buy'ce. She was better at remembering to take it now. Something that Corr used to chastise her about. She reached in her pocket and took out her second to last cigarette, and put it between her lips, quickly lighting it and started down the ramp to the hangar. She fought the urge to start crying as the tears threatened to pool in her eyes. She blinked a few times praying the prickling sensation would subside. She would never admit to anyone how much she truly missed Corr. The worst part was she didn't know if he was dead or alive. She knew he was a risk to be with from day 1, but she didn't care. She still held hope that some where out there, he was alive and well.

Mereel frowned in sympathy as she turned away, his own heart dark for the loss of one who was a mentor and guiding light for him. He stepped up to her, laying a gloved hand on her shoulder, his voice quiet in respect of the man they both missed.
"But you are, ad'ika. You lead the clan now."
His other hand came around to gesture at the men assembling outside. The joviality could be seen by Sidara as a lack of respect but Mereel knew better. The vode got on, savouring the life they had rather than mourning those that had passed. The spirits of those that had gone before lived on in the Manda, rejoicing in the eternal halls of what existed beyond. The best way to deal with death was to celebrate life by living it to the full. She would come to know that in time. For now, though, it was important that everyone knew who commanded.
"The vode will follow you. If not for love, or duty, or honour then for Corr. But you must lead them. They will not follow blindly if you are seen to be weak to them, even in your grief."
That was part of the purpose he had insisted she lead missions and the like. To show her face and be visible as one that could lead them through turbulent times. His voice softened further still, trying to take any sting she might have felt from his tone.
"Come. Let us see to this business."

Be their leader? Was he nuts? She wasn't a leader. She was Sidara. She got into fights, and usually came out the winner, and she drank too much, had the mouth of a smuggler, and she smoked like a chimney....She was in no position to lead anyone. She wasn't Corr. She wasn't half the warrior he was. She shook her head and looked Mereel in the eyes.
Mereel. Be serious. Never in a million years will I be able to fill his shoes. When he found me I was a lost drunk. I'm not much more than that now.
She stopped and bit her lip. Just talking about him made her soul ache. She had to live every day with parts of him surrounding her and the pain of him not being there never let up.
I don't want to talk about this any longer. I made myself clear. Sidara. Sir. Vercopa.
Sid looked down at her wedding ring again and inhaled sharply. She should have taken it off weeks ago, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.
And Mereel? I need another carton of cigarettes as soon as you can find them.

Sidara put out her cigarette and looked up at the man speaking to her. She was still shaken from her conversation with Mereel, but she took a deep breath and calmed herself.
"Pleasure. I am Sidara Vhett. This is Mereel. Thank you for letting us land."
Sid bit her lip and looked at Mereel. She was so out of place. Corr always took care of the formalities. She only married into the clan... and JUST married into it at that.
I, uh.... well. Would it be possible for us to be shown to your guest quarters? My crew and I desperately need a little bit to freshen up and regroup after our flight.
She looked at him hoping he would just escort them to their rooms. Sid needed to get herself back together. She couldn't let them see her questioning herself or being indecisive. Damn him for leaving her with all of this. Her anger flared for a moment. She cleared her throat and straightened her stance.
And I need a carton of cigarettes and some tihaar for my crew please.

He had nodded somewhat sadly as he turned and made his way off the ship, leading a sullen Sidara off the ship. There wasn't much else he could say on the matter short of upsetting her further and decided that a tactical withdrawal was the best strategy at this point. Having secured the ship and allowing Sid to proceed him out into the hangar Mereel finally joined her and cast his eyes around.
The boys and girls of Clan Vhett were mingling around, badgering the Ordo technicians for news of the citadel, likely seeking out where best to find entertainment. Mereels eyes scanned the locals for someone that could help him with more logistical matters, like billeting his men and getting cigarettes for Sid. The steady approach of a man in blue, black and grey armour forestalled his attempt to find someone that could see to their needs. Almost as tall as Corr had been but not quite as heavily built the figure cut an impressive sight. Mereel recognised the face of Cathaoir Ordo, a face he had seen before on Mandalore, and was about to step forward with a greeting but thought better of it. It was not his show to run...
He held his tongue as Sidara and Cathaoir conversed, taking the time to study the environment around them. The Ordo vode went about their business quietly with steady discipline it seemed, most of the sounds those made by the work they were doing. Counter to that was the boisterous talk of the Vhett men and women who were not shy in expressing themselves. Mereel wasn't sure to be amused or annoyed by the lack of discipline shown by his men but knew it was more for show than anything else. Even here he knew that the squad was analysing targets, picking out rally points, scanning security channels and making fast escape routes. It wasn't easy to see; a casual glance there, a knowing look here. The boisterous posturing was just to give the impression of loud revellers so as better to be able to avoid suspicions. Even here they remained on edge, determined not to be caught out as they had on Yavin.
He returned his attention to Cathaoir as he introduced the woman with him before heading off for the cantina. Mereel resisted the urge to go after him, isntead waiting quietly and patiently beside Sidara to await her pleasure.

Cathaoir acknowledged her, extended his free hand in the manner of offering a handshake. As far as what she was asking for, he very well could walk her down every corridor if that were what she wanted, but something rubbed him about her that she wouldn't want to be escorted everywhere. "You can find the barracks down the hallway on your left as soon as you exit the hangar through the main entrance; guest quarters will be at the end of the hallway there. As for your cigarettes, look no further than the cantina. You and your kin look like you could use a drink as well after the flight over. If that's where you intend to head, you can follow me as that's where I'll be headed. If you or your kin want to crack a few skulls, fire off a few rounds or satisfy any other combat needs, look no further than the training grounds in the western corridor. Any sort of armor repairs can be accomplished at the Smithy just by the Training grounds. Other than that, you may just ask around for anything you may need and enjoy your stay." He looked to the Mandalorian female, Tireya, that stood left of him then bad to Sidara. "Should you need an assistance finding anything, Tireya, will be available."
Turning back away now, Cathaoir headed toward the main exit to go to the Cantina. A tihaar really seemed appropriate at this time.

Sid shook his hand and nodded.
Thank you for your hospitality. I am sure my crew will make themselves right at home here.
She turned to Mereel. "I am going to go to the cantina and then I need to freshen up. I will meet you for a drink in awhile.
Sidara desperately needed quiet. This whole situation was rather overwhelming and she wanted to be able to handle it, and handle it well.
Sid nodded to the people standing around her and to Tireya. "Thank you, but I think I can find my way. I will let you know if I need anything."
Sidara pulled out her last cigarette and lit it as she walked toward the cantina.

Mereel watched Cathaior go and inclined his head as Sidara too made her departure. His eyes followed her as she left, still full of concern but unwilling to push any more with pointless advice. She'd listen when she was ready but he ground his teeth together at the frustration of it. She should have seen to the vode first before taking her leave. They would think less of her for seeing to her own needs first and that was something that they didn't need. Still, it was done now and it was left to him to see the boys and girls of Clan Vhett right.
He turned to face them and barked a sharp command.
"Ke'shush!" {{Attention!}}
The bantering and merriment soon trailed off and the squad of thirty gathered around, some dropping to squat on their haunches while others stood behind, some resting mailed hands on their crouching colleagues shoulders. They formed a loose half circle around him, backs to the vessel they had just debarked from. He cast his eyes around them, knowing each like they were family. He had fought with them. Laughed with them. Bled with them. He loved them all.
"Mhi morutar olar bid haili cetare, a ulur gar miit. Mhi copaanir nayc dini'lade, suvarir?" {{We're welcome here so be at home, but mind your words. We want no insanity, understand?}}
There was a general murmur of assent and several amused looks. Mereel nodded and turned to the female Mandalorian Cathaoir introduced as Tireya. He offered her an inclination of his head as he stepped up to her.
"Su cuy'gar, ner tat. Meh gar liser tengaanar ner traat'aliit bal ni at cuun yamikad...?" {{Greetings, sister. If you can show my squad and I to our rooms...?}}

Tireya returned the gesture, smile to him as well. "Certainly," she said, in Mando'a, her accent very thick and unique. It was a soft voice with a high ring to it but the accent (not of Ordo) carried through. Motioning with an arm, she waved to them to follow. She had already begun to step out toward the main hanger exit. "If you'll just follow me, I'll show you there now."
The rustic fabric mark that spanned from her right hip around behind her to the left glute, stretching down to around the knee, fluttered in the breeze kicked up by her pace. It was expedient, but not lackadaisical at the same time. Her stride was smooth and her step soft; not befitting of what one would suspect of another clad in such armor. Strands of her scarlet hair slipped free from her loose bun, also fluttering in the wind as she went.
Cathaoir could be seen not too far ahead of them, his buy'ce still held in the one hand, his two blaster busters secured at his hips, his DLT-20A in its holster which cut diagonally from right shoulder to left hip across his back. His jet pack was not worn at this time.

Mereel offered a somewhat casual salute as she turned to go before indicating with a sharp gesture, almost the polar opposite of the salute, for the vode of Clan Vhett to follow. With barely a sound the soldiers fell into a loose semblance of order and followed, Mereel quickening his pace to march beside Tireya, plying her with questions about the Citadel...

The Sword descended down through the atmosphere, before almost gliding into the hangar bay of the Citadel. The ship switched into its landing mode and set down on the ground. Damocles emerged a few moments later. Clad in only his armour, swords, and a small backpack. Once he was a few feet away from The Sword, its entry door closed and locked itself shut. It was nothing against his clansmen that made him use such a security precaution

The 'Chika Youngee' descended into the atmosphere, heading towards the designated landing platform. Once it was safely on its landing struts, Kargesh Vizla, Zordo's Mandalorian Lieutenant, came down the ramp as Zordo glided out of the ship on his hover throne behind him. Two Hutt Security Droids slithered out behind him and took up positions on either side of the ramp. Kargesh stood silently behind Zordo, as the Hutt waited for the representative from Clan Ordo arrived.

*Ellie strode across hangar, her boots keeping a perfect rhythm. Trailing behind her were to armed guards in full beskar. She wore her own set, albeit slightly more worn. The sleeves of her flight suit were rolled up, revealing the tattoos on her left arm. She wore an eyepatch over her left eye to cover the scar.*
*She approached Zordo and his entourage. Ellie and her guards came to a halt a short distance away.* "Zordo the Hutt, my apologies for the delay. I am Ellie ordo, Aliit'alor of clan Ordo. Now, I assume you are here seeking business?"

The Hutt inclined his head politely as the Aliit'alor of Clan Ordo introduced herself. Motioning to the Mandalorian standing off behind him, he spoke to Ellie in Huttese.
"My Lieutenant, Kargesh Vizla. And as you know, I am Zordo the Hutt. I was led to believe, through contacts of mine within the Mandalorian Assembly, that Clan Ordo would like to open legitimate trade routes, correct? I deal in many, many forms of business, my dear. Legitimate or otherwise. Helping those who wish to create legitimate business dealings is what I strive for. It keeps us honest and...reputable."/font]
While not outright lying, he was certainly shading the truth. It was no secret that the Hutts leaned more towards being gangsters of their own criminal empires, however, when a legitimate business deal arose, it was often wise to take it. Not only did it increase revenue, it also helped spread word of the Cartel's dealings through legitimate channels.

*Ellie's eye landed on Kargesh, and studied him for a second. She had heard the name Vizla before, but the past deeds of his clan held little weight to her. Ellie turned her attention back to Zordo when he began to speak of opening legitimate trade routes. A small grin almost formed on Ellie's lips at the word legitimate, a word rarely heard with Hutts.* "You have heard correctly, clan Ordo is looking to open trade routes. As you may know, Ordo's main export is agricultural products, a very...legitimate trade commodity. And we're willing to open negotiate a trade route."

Zordo inclined his head in approval.
"Excellent. Agricultural products are a very profitable commodity. I have ships willing to move your goods to the worlds that need them. For a price, naturally..."
The Hutt grinned widely. Legitimate trade was just as lucrative as illegal trade, so naturally Zordo wanted a piece of the action. Continuing to speak to the Mandalorian before him in Huttese, he continued.
"My prices are fair, of course. And as an incentive to prove it, the first shipment it on the house. Once the goods have been sold, we'll negotiate more on the costs of moving the product."
Still in its infancy, the Hutt Cartel needed to make a good impression on those it worked with, in order to expand its influence. Hopefully this would be one of those deals that would do just that. Hopefully.

*Ellie suppressed a small grin when the Hutt mentioned price. Everything had a price and Ellie knew that very well. She did, however, find it a pleasant surprise that the first shipment was on the house.* "That is most generous of you. I can have the shipments delivered to the hangars as soon as possible. Getting Ordo's economy going again will be a big step." *She pulled out her datapad and began to send some information to nearby warehouses.* "There, the shipments will be delivered to the designated landing pads upon your ships arrival. Then we can negotiate further afterbthat."
*She put the datapad away and gave a quick glance around the hangar. Her good eye then turned back to Zordo.* "Maybe things are looking up for my clan. Now all we need to do is locate a good asteroid mining location, maybe even tibanna gas. Then we'd be set for more projects. Financially secure projects, anyway."
