I am the kind of guy who basically hides the fact that he does text based roleplay. Or any sort of nerdy thing, including but not limited to magic and star wars. So what I want to ask is simple. If I came out of my shell, and made videos about things happening around the site for the past days/week/month ect would you watch them? I cant say they would be good, or up to the standards of the HNN but it would be helpful in getting out name out there.
If I did do this I want your guys to tell me what you want to hear, and be aware that it may not come out at regular times because I dont want other people to see me doing this.

So, as an oldfag, I do vagueley remember HNN videos from back in the day. If you did makes these (which I hope you do, even if they lack the same... charm) what I would watch them for is a cleverly worded, narrative-style "bulletin board" of sorts. As in, use it as a way to, perhaps, broadcast larger events that are happening on the site. I, for one, miss the big events that happened infrequently in 1.5, like the Plague War and the Sithies Balls, among others.
Perhaps that's not ideal, since events like this don't happen very often nowadays, it seems. Maybe you could change that somehow? I do know there's a charity ball happening soon-ish.
Maybe get the Whills to sticky the links to these videos to the top of the forum, like an announcement? Retweet and Facebook too? Make this official or something?

Thats actually what I had planned to do until I spent upwards of 4 hours trying to fix my webcam and still have not managed to do so.

By all means if you want to make a video, do it. Different points of view are awesome. Do it as yourself, a character doesnt matter. You can either email it to me and I will upload it, or do it yourself. I just wasted a good opportunity to find out how well my camera on the phone records. So hopefully I can find time this week, I will make it, upload it and so on. So if there is anyone with a story they want mentioned, a shout out to someone. Anything. Post it here and I will put it on my list of things.

I'm not opposed to this, but it would probably be prudent for you to get the permission of the players involved before mentioning them or their characters in a video. I don't really expect anyone would say no, but we don't want any surprises.

Heh i remember even responding to one of the HNN youtube videos (As Clem.. of course) even had my not quite "Jedi robes" on and zoomed out of the video leaving my chair spinning for the last few seconds ( it had actually worked that time for some reason)... ill have to see if i can find that as i have no idea what i had said anymore..
