Ok, I seriously don't know how much interest there is in this. But I've always been curious as to if anyone was ever interested in a D&D writing forum similar to this one. Don't get me wrong, I love science fantasy as much as the next guy; but sometimes a guy needs some variety just for creativities sake. A pure fantasy environment does that often times . Moving along, both myself and a friend of mine were setting up a site on Proboards related to D&D, but he grew sick and eventually also had a kid, so we never completed working on it. I guess what I'm wondering is if there is any interest from anyone on THIS site, and if anyone would be interested in creating such a site with me, or helping out in moderating?

Heh. I still play D&D with my group on a regular basis. We've had the same campaign going for ten years. (3.5... none of this v.4 crap.)
I'd say I'm interested Dante... but with my time here split between three very active PC's and moderating here, (and doing everything I can to move the process of Fel getting back to his crew) and my family obligations and work, I think I'd be doing your site a disservice.
But would I roll up a character and play? YOU BET!!!

I made myself a promise: if just ONE person showed interest, I'd go in and get her built and such (I have a programming minor, so I should be able to get by...I hope.).
Dude, the fact that THE Fel would make a char and come write on it, is basically the best news I've heard ever. And it's fine if you can't mod or anything, hell, just having a member other than myself, and, well...myself, is awesome enough. And hell yeah - no V4. 3.5 is what I learned to play on (a hella long time ago), and I literally cant make heads or tails of V4.

So yeah, I hear you. Let me know when it's up, I'll come and roll up!

Psh, no table top experience is needed. Hell, ive barely played a campaign, and that was YEARS ago. If you don't know whether you'd like D&D, but are SURE you like star wars (Duh, you're here on JvS aren't you? ) Id suggest you read the Legend of Drizzt written by R.A Salvatore.
R.A Salvatore, interestingly enough, wrote Vector Prime in the star wars genre, and is my favorite star wars book. When I found he wrote other things, I hopped on the band wagon and read a ton of forgotten realms - and loved it.

Or play a few hours of Skyrim or Baldur's Gate. If you're hooked, you'd love D&D.
