The Sithies 2015 Wants You! Now that the nominations for the Sithies has come to a close, the judging of awards will begin soon, followed not long after by the Sithies weekend itself. Now, obviously, this means that right now we are looking for people who are willing to lend a hand and present awards at the coming event, which at this time, is slated for the weekend of February 21st and 22nd (though we may include the 20th as a sort of arrival/pre-party and the 23rd for an after party). Presenters are currently wanted for the following awards:Judged Categories:
Best Lightsider
Best Darksider
Best Non-Force
Best Mandalorian
Best Smuggler/Criminal
Best NPC
Best Journal of the Whills
Best Duo
Best Character (Male)
Best Character (Female)
Best Overall If any of sound like an award you would like to present, then feel free to comment here or send me a PM, both are equally acceptable. As always, we are looking for individuals that will bring something interesting to the Sithies Award presentations, whether it be a unique humour, or an outrageous stunt, as the Assassin saying goes "Everything is permitted".
Also, on top of that, there will be some extra entertainment this year, aside from the main ceremony, so if you've got an idea for something that you think people might enjoy reading, then by all means, send me a PM or catch me in chat, there is not a lot of ideas I will say no to, so dont be discouraged from giving it a shot.
and finally, we are still on the lookout for Judges to join the Sithies Staff. There are no requirements to be a Judge, merely that you are up for a month of reading other people's posts and being able to at least say "I enjoyed <insert name here's> posts in thsi category more than the rest because <insert reasons here>". So whether you are a 'veteran' with several years experience under your belt of JvS, or an entirely new rookiee to JvS, please apply today. If anything, I actively encourage those of you that have not long joined us to give judging a go, it'll give you a chance to meet some interesting people, as well as give you a chance to check out some of the writing that happens around JvS. |

good evening all,
just as an addendum to the entertainment portion, after much grab assery, and lots of Chill lovin, The Sithies in 2015 will be featuring a Music Stage, where in you can chuck together a music mix of stuff that you enjoy, and have it playing there for others to enjoy. For the idea to work, you guys will need to chuck the music together yourselves and send me the final mix (to whit I will add some nice vizualiser element), then the video will be put up (alternatively, i will accept un-mixed tracks, but pre-mixed would be prefered).

ADDENDUM: Please note, everyone is welcome to come on by and visit the Sithies, no invite required, no identification required, literally just show up and walk right on in and have fun. The only requirement is that any grudges are left at the door, otherwise I'll set Chill and a horde of Rancors on you  |
