Who: Lord Ferinus Corsai vs. Tyrana Letta-Horica. Rules: Standard GBA Rules
5. Trouble in Paradise
Situated atop a one thousand meter spire that stabbed its way high into the Coruscant skyline the Skysitter Restaurant lived up to its name and commanded a panoramic view of the city-scape from the Senate Rotunda to the Nicanda Memorial Building not far away. The top of the tower rotated slowly affording people sat at their tables to enjoy the view without having to move, finding pleasure in watching the great city drift past them as they ate. The exclusiveness of the restaurant was not limit to the view and location. The furniture, for the cutlery to the decor, was all of top quality and design. The main room was decked out in a royal blue primary that gave the lace a rich aspect, with upholstered seats and lavishly decorated ornaments, pillars and light fittings. The tables were marble draped in a soft cloth of a slightly lighter shade of blue.
The staff too were only the best. All living beings, most human as a result of the Empires days in charge of the planet, they were attired in crisp tuxedo's and each carried him/herself with the grace and dignity of Alderaanian nobility, speaking in clipped Coruscanti accents, polite and helpful to a fault. They were also all uniformly handsome with nice physiques and pleasing demeanor.
The food was also the best in the galaxy though so expensive it would make a Hutt diet. The smells drifting from the kitchen had customers on the edge of their seats awaiting their order as a veritable army of kitchen staff, waiters and chefs seen to it that everything was just so.
Our duelists find themselves sitting across from each other in one of the private rooms set off from the main lounge. Unlike the rest of the restaurant these private rooms were adorned in a deep, warm red, scarlet if you will, and were lit low so as to promote a romantic and cozy atmosphere. This one was roughly six meters by six meters with the wall with a door to one side, the massive transparisteel window looking out over the city to the other.(No, the narrator hasn't gone mad. This is really happening). The table between the two was of real wood, not the synthwood you see all over the galaxy, and had exotic dishes that I can't even name placed on it with precise perfection. A small bell sat on the side of the table and one little ring wold have a waiter in there immediately to see what could be done for the customers pleasure. A bottle of the finest champagne sat in the direct center and full glasses sat before each of our combatants, one with an Arkanian diamond ring in her glass...

**The Sith Lord Ferinus inclined in his seat, exhaling warmly, feeling content. It was truly nice to be here in this room with Ty, enjoying a decadent meal. They along with Phantom and Ver'metus had just concluded a rather perilous mission to the ocean depths of Kamino and Ferinus felt he was long overdue for a night of fine dining with a beautiful woman.
A woman he still hardly knew everything about. He was counting on this dinner to secure more knowledge.
Ferinus' onyx eyes looked out through the tranparisteel window to the gargantuan city below them. Coruscant. How Ferinus had dreamed of seeing the House of the Senate burn to the ground. Once, he had been allied with Sith who planned on doing just that.
But those had remained only plans and those Sith were now dead. Ferinus had outlasted them by abandoning such fruitless ventures.
But if these servers knew that two powerful Sith were sitting in this premiere booth at Skysitter....well....that's why Ferinus had employed a subtle amount of Force Persuation earlier.**
"Here we are, perched atop what many consider to be the pinnacle of galactic civilization....and the most poignant thought on my mind is the look on Phantom's face were he to discover what we are really doing."
**He looked to the woman and flashed her a crooked smile.**
"My cap is tipped to you. You were superb in helping me sell this 'survey mission.'"
**Ferinus included the air quotes. If Phantom knew he was enjoying an evening with the woman who may as well be Phantom's sister, Ferinus would be in for an unfortunate tomorrow.
But that didn't matter now. The meal had been exquisite and the company more than satisfactory. Ferinus found it hard to tear his eyes off the woman to look at the bottle of champagne between them.**
"And in honor of such a wonderful meal and lovely company, I believe it is time for a good drink."
**Ferinus picked up the bottle and in one motion popped the cork. He let the golden liquid bubble over, a foamy trail dripping into the ice bucket. He poured Ty's glass first and then his own.
He raised his glass.**
"A toast to you, Tyrana....and also to Phantom. May his credit chit never run dry."
**Ferinus chuckled.**

The young Sith stared out at the lights of the city she had long ago called home, her eyes glazed over as she stared down to the area that she knew held the house she and her parents had occupied when she was a girl. When Ferinus spoke, although it was low in volume, Ty jumped and quickly turned her eyes back to his. Yes it was true she had successfully lied to her Big Brother, knowing full on that Ferinus had no interest in surveying this bustling planet with its swarms of life. She grinned and sat forward, resting her elbows on the table and her chin on her folded hands, giving him a good view of the low cut, tight black dress that she had worn for their special dinner together. This was more like the old Ty he had met all those years ago in a cantina not far from this very restaurant.
Big Brother would not be happy to know, especially after what happened on Kamino!
She gave a quiet chuckle and picked up her glass, raising it slightly and quirking an eyebrow as she gazed into his eyes
And to you for piloting that floating death trap back to fresh air without any incidents!
Flashing a bright smile, Ty downed the champagne, her eyes widening as something "clinked" against her teeth. Swallowing carefully to avoid taking the object with the liquid, she set her glass down then reached up and pulled a diamond ring from between her ruby painted lips. She stared at it a moment before giving a sharp gasp and dropping it onto her plate as if it had burned her.
What is this!?!
She looked up at Ferinus, quite horrified. Phantom had told her that the man in front of her had acquired a fondness towards her, but she never imagined this would be the out come. With that thought Ty's mood shifted like the sands of Tattoine, and she glared with more than a hint of anger at the man sitting across from her
What do you think you're playing at!?

**Ferinus smiled at her and drank from his own glass, enjoying the champagne's dry, tingling presence on his tongue before he swallowed.
But as he turned, he noticed Ty fiddling with her mouth. Curious, he arched an eyebrow.
And then she pulled a diamond ring out of her mouth.
Ferinus' onyx eyes, which before wereglinting with promise, now bugged out.
What the hell was that.
Why the hell was it in her glass?
Why the hell did he not notice it?
As opposed to panicking, Ferinus quickly adopted a look of calm on his face, swiftly holding his hand to try to placate Ty.**
"Don't be alarmed. I have no such intentions. This booth was....ah....clearly meant for other patrons. The servers must believe we're them. After all, we didn't acquire this arrangement through the most....ethical of manners."
**Ferinus' voice wavered slightly, more than he'd like. He had seen what happened when Ty became distressed before.**
"Please, just sit down. No need to be so rash and jump to such conclusions."

Ferinus' voice wavering didn't help the grip in Ty's gut as she stood up so fast that it knocked her chair over. Slamming her hands down on the table she glared at him with such ferocity it would be a miracle if the situation dissipated, but since this is a duel forum both writers know that's not going to happen. Ty's mind was in over drive, listening to his excuse of other patrons and his attempts to calm her. But now a new fear gripped her. For no matter how much Ty hated the idea of a ring and what it signified, the part that had scared her was how slightly excited she had become at seeing it. She growled and reached for her hip, stopping short as she realized that she had left her beloved saber on the blasted ship with Phantom, as he had said "she would not need it with Ferinus as company" Ty reacted further only how she knew to react to this sort of situation, attack out of defense.
You think that I would believe such a feeble attempt at a cover up!? I've heard better from worse than you!
With one hand she upended the table, sending it's burdens to the floor with a loud clatter of sound, Ty of course was not used to such fine dining at a quiet restaurant such as this. No matter how her adoptive father had trained her and prepared her as a courtier, she was a wild spirit. Standing in front of him, her hands balled into fists at her side, she glared down at him, a fire in her eyes he had only seen once before. And that was the night she had defeated him in the drinking contest the first time they met (no matter how much his writer says that he won). Without any warning, Ty lept forward, her hands outstretched as she went to tackle him out of his chair, her strappy silver shoes flying off in the process.

**Ferinus stayed in his seat as she jumped up, though his every sense jumped to high alert. Her mood was getting worse. He had to remain calm if he had any hope of stabilizing the situation.
He tried again.**
"Ty, I assure you, it's not an excuse, it's-"
**Ferinus whipped his right arm up, shielding his face as she flipped the table over. A terrible cacophony of shattering glass and splintering wood rang out in the small room.
Breathing faster now, Ferinus lowered his arm. It was just him now sitting in a lone chair before a destroyed table and a frantic woman staring down at him.
Ferinus swallowed.
Must remain calm.
Must remain calm.**
"Well, dessert is effectively ruined. A shame. I hear their chocolate cheesecake is the best in the Mid Rim."
**Ferinus had time for nothing else when she pounced on him. He grunted as the chair toppled over and they crashed on the ground. His back roared in protest.
She was on top of him now. His hands instinctively shot up and grabbed her wrists before they could make contact with his face.
They had locked limbs now. She was attacking ferociously. Ferinus' mind raced. He estimated he had about 70 lbs. on her, but she had surprise on her side.
Also, there was something sharp sticking into his arse. Was that a plate? A piece of one?"
"Ty.....rrmph....this will be your only....grrargh....WARNING!"
**Ferinus, remembering his sparring matches with Phantom, bridged his back. Now his legs had room. He kicked out his right leg and tried a roll to the left to try to throw her off.**

As he bridged his back, Ty went to straddle his stomach so that she couldn't be thrown off, but her evening gown's length became more of a hindrance, keeping her legs tight in it's fabric. When he kicked out and rolled she was thrown off to the left, onto the massacred plates and glasses, the broken shards slicing into her bare arms. She rolled to her feet and growled, ripping her skirt off just under the thighs to free her legs, she was prepared for anything.
My only warning? Ha!
She crouched, her slender legs bent slightly, she began to gather up her wild force energy, ready for him to attack her as she knew that's what normally came after she started something of this magnitude.
I can't wait to tell Big Brother! I'll enjoy watching!
She lunged forward again, not to give him time to recuperate his balance

**Once Ty was off of him, Ferinus sprang to his feet. There were several large tears in his dress pants. Panting, he shook his head.
There goes his only good suit.
He knew Ty was becoming manic. There was no sense in two Sith destroying each other when they could be destroying the Ji'Dai. Ferinus knew he had to snap Ty out of this and the only way to do that was an even greater show of force than she was dishing out.....an extreme to rush her back to reality.
His hands flew to his belt instinctively, but felt nothing.
His crimson sabers. Where were they?!
Ferinus looked from left to right, spotting only one lying near the transparisteel window. They must have broken off his waist in the impact of Ty's pounce.
The Sith Lord shot a hand out, calling on a Force Pull. The saber wiggled and then flew through the air toward his open palm.
But it would never meet its mark.
Her second lunge connected, bowling him into the wall. His saber sailed past uselessly. He still didn't know where his second one was.
His back protested again as she slammed him into the wall of the suite.
The servers would definitely hear that one.**
"Rarrggh! Tyrana! Get a hold of yourself!"
**Ferinus, whether he chose to admit to himself or not, was holding back. While he didn't want to kill Ty, he knew that if he didn't truly fight, she'd have a chance at killing him.
He sneered at her.**
"Tell Phantom all you want. Once he hears how you're acting, he'll call my next actions justified."
**He needed to use his weight. She had him pressed against the wall. He lashed out with his right leg, trying to wrap it behind her left. He gave a great lurch away from the wall, trying to stiff her leg and let his superior weight and momentum carry them back to the ground.**

Seeing the saber fly passed her head as she dove into him, her mind raced in self preservation as they hit the wall. She glared up at him as he began to speak, hearing him talking about getting a hold of herself.
Then you shouldn't have-
His leg swept hers and she found herself on her back with him on top of her, she hit so hard the wind rushed out of her lungs with an "oh" sound. Her hands were at his shoulders as she stared up at him with wide eyes. With his full body weight on her, she was quite at the disadvantage now, or at least that what she figured he was thinking. She grinned and leaned up to plant a kiss on his nose while placing her right hand on his left shoulder and her left hand outstretched on the ground out to the side while she called his elusive saber to her. It skidded across the floor towards her as she began to build up on her unchecked Force. It had been a solid year since she had last meditated, and even longer since she had cared to. Her overactive mind was trying to fit the pieces together of why he would even want to use his saber against her, when she was unarmed so to speak. Sure she might have initially overreacted to the "misunderstanding", but the young woman on the floor under the Sith Lord couldn't comprehend emotions at the moment, she was only concerned with the present danger (that being her future with this man or whatever might be planned for them). Ty, with all her might pushed up with her feet, bucking her hips up and to the right as she used the hand on his shoulder in an attempt to push him off of her as the saber slid right out of reach of her left hand.

**It worked. Ferinus had her right where he wanted her. Perhaps now he could have her in a position where she would listen to....
The Sith Lord started when she kissed him on the nose. That made him hesitate for too long. Then he saw her grin and looked to see her left hand stretching out. Ferinus turned to see his own saber flying toward her hand.
He reached out with his own right hand, aiming a small Force Push at the hilt to try to throw it away. But in the next second she bucked her own hips against his and he found himself being thrown off of her to the left.
His Force Push missed the saber, shooting wild as the Sith Lord fell on top of the crumpled heap of the table. He grunted as its wooden edge met his spine.
A server, hearing the noise of the fight, hastily opened the door.**
"Sir, is everything al-"
**The poor man in the tuxedo didn't have the time to finish his sentence as Ferinus' wild Force Push smacked him in the head, knocking him off his feet and out of the doorway. The clinking sounds of dropped silverware and gasps from other patrons outside rang into the room, In the next second, another server in another tux was standing in the doorway, mouth agape, aghast at the wreck that used to be their top suite.
For a moment, the room stood frozen until Ferinus, panting, chuckled.**
"This is really your fault, you see. My....fiancee here....wanted green champagne and you brought her Daruvvian. She has picky tastes. We'll be taking the check now."
**Ferinus needed her out cold if he was going to get her to calm down and back to the ship where he could try to come up with a good lie to tell Phantom. Ferinus gripped the edge of the table and with one great heave flipped it back down toward Ty, hoping it would smack her head hard enough for the knockout blow.**

The first waiter distracted ty as she scrambled to her feet, scooping up the saber as she did so. Seeing him knocked from the door she chuckled darkly just as the second man entered. Her laughter was cut short at hearing ferinus use the word "fiancé" to the man and she wheeled around just in time to see the table flying towards her. With a snarl she grabbed the edge of the airborn furniture with both hands and used its momentum to swing her body around enough to send it hurling toward the unfortunate bystander. as she had dropped the saber to catch the table, ty turned unarmed to her opponent once more. FIANCÉ?!?
She reached down while still looking at him, and grabbed the first thing her fingers touched. In this instant it was the champagne bottle which had miraculously stayed in one piece in the initial tipping of the table
I'll show you fiancé!
With the swing of her arm she chucked the bottle at Ferinus, aiming it straight at his head.

**Ferinus' eyes doubled in size as she grabbed the table and hurled it away. He watched it cascade through the air, smashing into the second server. The Sith Lord watched the man crumple upon impact, most certainly knocked out cold. The table was now resting on its side against the doorway behind Ty, its two remaining intact legs pointing toward them.
Ferinus ducked just in time and threw his hands over his head as shards of glass and sticky champagne rained over him, the bottle smashing upon the transparisteel window.
Ty was working with feral rage now. Ferinus had made a verbal error, but he knew why.
Ty's power was unbridled, dangerous in its randomness. Still, Ferinus knew he stood at advantage with his decades of training in the Dark Side. He could still get her out of here before they were both in trouble.
Slowly, Ferinus stood back up, changing tactics once more. He stretched out his right hand, palm out in a sign of peace.**
"It was merely a farce, Tyrana."
**His hand was also covertly stretching out to one of the table's long wooden legs behind her. He felt his power wrapping around it, jiggling it.**
"I was trying to maintain some semblance of cover...."
**On the word 'cover,' Ferinus made a slow fist in expression. That fist used a small Force Pull to break the leg off from the table. It now hung floating in the air.
Ferinus had to knock her out now.**
"They may call the authorities in here and then we'll both be in trouble. Just...come with me."
**With those words, Ferinus brought his outstretched hand to his chest, beckoning the floating table leg with a Force Pull. It now sailed end over end straight for the back of Ty's head.**

Ty listened to the clatter of the man falling over but kept her eyes on Ferinus. At the word "farce" her eyes widened and she gasped. Taking it to meaning the whole evening had been fake and not just what he had said to the waiter. Her lip quivered as she looked at him pitifully, as he asked her to come with him she seemed to nod slightly, looking around at the destroyed room and feeling slight guilt that she had ruined their evening. She dropped down on her knees to get her shoes, unknowingly missing the leg of the table by inches as it whizzed over her head towards Ferinus. Seeing the leg barely miss her, her anger that had begun to ebb flared again and she jerked her shoes, seeing the ring that had started it all she unconsciously grabbed it and slipped it into her cleavage out of habit. Standing up and looking up at her date for the evening with a renewed fury she growled and poised to spring at him again.
Naughty boy, Feri. I thought you would have learned from the last time we were together like this.

**She ducked.
Kriff.
Ferinus was forced to throw his hand out to catch the table leg. It slammed into his palm and he stared at her, shaking his head. Like it or not, the authorities should be well on their way by now. He had to end this quickly and get her out of here. He smiled crookedly at her**
"I'm a very fast learner, Tyrana, which is why this won't take but a minute."
**He closed the few feet between them in the next second, dashing forward and spinning where he stood, swinging the table leg in his left hand toward her head for the knockout blow. Only time would tell if it was quick enough to make its mark.**

Ty watched as he caught the leg of the table and looked at her, his smile wasn't enough to make her mood lift more than a trifle. Yet when he spoke of learning, Ty couldn't help but crack a dazzling smile at the thought of authorities showing up, it would be a fun new game. But now that Ty had it in her mind that the man in front of her was only faking a nice evening, she decided she'd have a little fun with him now. Her demeanor swiftly changing she put a hand on her hip
Only a minute?!
Her smile remained as she watched him dash forward and spin. Ducking under the swing of his arm and the piece of furniture meant to hit her, Ty twisted her body and stood right back up, stepping up on her toes to plant a kiss right on his lips. Pulling back just far enough to whisper seductively
I thought you were some great Sith Lord, that's just sad.... and you seemed to last so much longer than that last time
Her eyes held a dangerous, mischievous fire as she gazed up at him with a sultry smile curving her red lips as she spoke so crudely for one so petite. Her hand slid slowly up his chest and and around to the back of his neck, and with slight pressure she pulled his face to hers to press another kiss. Her senses stretched out, ready for anything

**Ferinus' spin met nothing but empty air. Bane be damned, she was fast. She was using her smaller stature to her advantage.
In the heat of the moment, Ferinus wasn't certain if he should feel frustrated or impressed.
But he didn't have time to figure that out as she planted a kiss on him. That made him start where he stood, still holding the table leg. He prided himself on always thinking, always plotting the next strategy, and yet her impulsive actions always seemed to put up a roadblock he had to break through to get to the next thought.
That and she had an infuriating tongue. As she stood there, laying down her mocks, Ferinus shook his head.**
"That's now what I-"
**He let his words be cut off. The electric sensation of her hand coming up to pull him in seemed to fuel his adrenaline. When she forcefully closed the distance between them, Ferinus knew he had another chance.
Not that he wasn't enjoying the current situation. Quite the contrary.
But they still needed to get out, no matter how stubbornly she refused to see it.
Ferinus gave her what she was looking for. He closed his eyes and made a show of dropping the table leg. He let it fall to the ground. In one motion, he snaked his now free hand down the small of her back, cupping her waist and pulling her in even closer, locking her body to his.
As he made to deepen the kiss, small pinpricks of electric Force lightning sparked between the fingers of his other hand. He slowly brought it to the back of her head....as if in a passionate embrace.
Just one little shock to the back of her neck and....**

Ty pressed her body to his as he pulled her with his hand at her waist and couldn't help the goosebumps that raised all over her body. This was by far the most interesting encounter and companionship she'd ever had. Wrapping her arms around his neck as their kiss deepened, she felt the thrum of the electricity in his hand before it even made contact with the skin of her neck. Her whole body tensed as the current ran through her, but all she could help thinking was that he had only pretended to be romantic in order to deceive her.
That would not do...
Years of electric torture at the hands of Feral had prepared Ty for this exact moment, numbing her to the basic attacks as he was attempting, probably trying to knock her out. Ty focused herself and allowed the current to flow through her to the ground, as Feral had eventually let on after he had his fun at her agony, and pretended to seize up in pain. Yes, it hurt. But Ty was used to pain of even greater magnitudes that what Ferinus was dishing out. With big doe eyes she looked up at Ferinus and let tears well up in them, she gasped and winced as if under true duress and let out a soft sob before speaking pathetically
F-Feri... You're hurting me....

**Ferinus parted from her and opened his eyes. He can't stop them from widening slightly.
How was she not unconscious by now? That should have done the trick.
Now, she was putting on a show of hurt for him, trying to get him to stop.
She was playing him just as he was playing her. The Sith Lord had to wonder if it would be himself or her who would eventually reconcile the truth from the facade.**
"Yes, Ty. I am. For both our sakes."
**Ferinus stole a quick glance toward the door.**
"We can converse about this later when we're not facing certain incarceration."
**Ferinus' chiseled muscles heaved as he spun with her in his arms. He cast her through the air toward the door of their suite, hoping the impact would finally accomplish his goal.**
"You know, you could always get a hold of yourself and work with me. Quietly!"
**He called out to her.**

As he threw her Ty went crashing through the table that had been laying against the door frame, breaking it in two, and out into the main dining area. Toppling over three tables from the force of his throw, Ty was now the center of attention as stunned diners had their quiet meals disturbed. She lay on the ground, unmoving as the first high class woman let out a shriek and fainted in her dining companions arms. Several waiters and onlookers took rushed steps towards the young Sith to see if she was alright as many others peaked in the door at Ferinus, wondering why she had come barreling into the now silent room. Among the group surrounding Ty, a couple protested as she bent one arm, and then the other, placing her palms on broken glass and porcelain, pushing herself up with shaky limbs. Screaming in pain before biting it back and focusing to ignore it, her right shoulder was definitely broken, as was her right hip most likely, from hitting the tables. A growl began deep in Ty's throat as she slowly stood, dropping to her knees once before standing again. She favored her left side as she turned, her right arm hanging limply at her side as she glared at Ferinus. When she spoke, her voice was not as he had come to know, the sultry smooth talk of a "black widow" assassin. But it was harsh, biting with each syllable. Only one other person had seen Ty angry like this before, and that was Phantom. But that's a whole different story all together as this is Ty and Ferinus's duel.
Quiet is no longer an option, Ferinus
Power began to build inside her, the unbridled, unfocused Force that she had spent no time trying to control over the last couple of years, and now it threatened the entire room as her dress and hair began to rustle in an unseen wind. The small debris that cluttered the ground at her feet began to rattle with the buildup of power as she looked at Ferinus with a hard glare that he would have never seen on her before.
All I wanted, was a quiet evening. To get to know you better.
The small group that had formed around her began to back away in alarm, some tripping over turned over chairs or other patrons. The path between Ferinus and Tyra was now clear of people, only the destroyed tables stood between them.
But you have shown me, you are no different than the others... the other men who claim they wish to know me...
She turned her left side toward him, still building energy, now the rubble began to levitate a few inches off the ground.

Im going to be honest, it was hard for me to Judge this. There was a lot going on and neither of you held an apparent upper hand for any extended period. That said, there were definitely some blows thrown.
