Cage stepped into the center of the four enormous mounds of garbage and cracked his knuckles. He had his shotgun on a sling, his sword on his back, his flamers at the ready, and his pistols primed. As he stood there waiting for his old friend and rival he toyed with the buttons on his wrist guard activating his jetpack making sure it was in working order. He made sure to keep a look out for his opponent, after all the man did have a reputation for his creativity...and brutality.

Junk. Mile after mile after mile of junk. Why in the great wide galaxy anyone would decide to meet here of all places was entirely beyond his ability to deduce. Then again, one man's junk is another man's treasure. Who knows. Maybe I'll find something worth keeping. He crested the rise of the final junk mound before reaching the coordinates he'd been given, then stopped and stood there gazing down on the man below. There was no mistaking that armor, that much was for sure. Cage had never been one for subtlety.
Interesting choice of locale. Were you hoping to drive me mad from the stench?
He had his helmet's external speakers cranked up high enough that Cage would be able to hear him easily even over the sound of constantly shifting garbage, and as of yet held both hands weaponless at his sides near the grips of his pistols. Once he'd spoken, he began to make his way down the mound of garbage and toward his opponent, clearly unaffected by the stench he'd mentioned thanks to the gloriously efficient filters in his helmet.

"Hey now anything to throw you off your game"Cage replied shrugging his shoulders as his opponent came closer. He waited for the other man to reach the bottom before taking an even stance and squaring off. "Alright so how we doing this blasters or blades?" Cage asked even with his helmet on it was obvious he was smirking. He had to give it to bloodshot he came equipped. This was going to be a true test of his metal as a mandalorian and he looked forward to the challenge.

I'm afraid I don't carry blasters. Too easy for the forcies to make the power packs explode in your hand. And when those "forcies" were your preferred prey, it payed to bring weapons they weren't accustomed to. But if you really want a shootout, I'll be happy to oblige. Either way, I'll leave it up to you. He maintained a steady pace once he reached the bottom of the pile, closing to within ten meters of the other man before he stopped, feet shoulder width apart and squarely facing his opponent.

Im curious what kind of guns you use then. Well then I guess that means a shootout it is. Cage's left hand shot down to his hip and snatched his blaster pistol bringing it up and firing it at Bloodshot's chest. Without waiting for the bolt to land he stepped to his right snatching his other pistol out in the same manner and fired both of them rapidly at Bloodshot's center mass as he walked right.

Bloodshot felt the hostile intent blossom in his opponent's mind the moment before he took action and his own pistol, the slugthrower on his right hip, was out and firing at the same instant as the other man's first blaster. The first slug was aimed for the center of his faceplate just before he started moving, and the second and third were both lowered and shifted left to compensate for his motion, aimed to strike in the center of his chest. While Bloodshot doubted the durasteel-core slugs would penetrate the armor, especially if it was composed of that damned mandalorian iron, the impact alone would definitely leave bruises and had a good chance of knocking him off balance and even breaking ribs. Unless of course he'd gotten enhanced in some way since their last encounter. The slug to the head also had a high chance of knocking him out right off the bat, but the mercenary wasn't counting on that, either. Murphy's law and all that. Though if I ever meet this Murphy kriffer, I'm gonna put a slug in his brain too.
As for Cage's blaster shots, he ignored them for the time being. He was confident that his shields could handle however many shots the other man was able to fire before his aim was ruined by the slugs.

Cage got off a shot before having to quickly jerk his head to the right to avoid the slug. His opponent kept firing so instead of returning fire he leaped right and ignited his jetpack using it for extra propulsion. He still got caught in the stomach by the last slug, and it knocked his breath out. He about ten feet to the left rolling behind one of the mounds of trash and coming up on one knee. He holstered both pistols and readied his shotgun. Standing he took a moment to regain his breath before briefly popping around the mound of junk and firing to spreads, the first at his opponents head, then slightly left and lowered expecting an evasive maneuver.

Bloodshot began sprinting the moment Cage disappeared behind the junk pile, heading for the other side of the small mound. He made it halfway there before the other man popped back out to fire on him, and the first shot went wide to his left. The second, which had no doubt been altered to compensate for his rapid movement, would have squarely struck the shielding protecting his left side, further depleting it, save that his foot caught on a protruding cable and sent him sprawling across the garbage to stop with a thud on the other side of the mound, just out of sight of Cage's current hiding place. The second blast had streaked by mere centimeters from his back. Gorram kriffing junkyards. Why can't anybody ever fight in a place with decent footing? He made a mental note to pay more attention to that in the future, and holstered his pistol (which he had somehow managed to hang on to in spite of his lapse in footing) only to then draw the staff off his back.
He topped the mound in a single leap, his balance briefly disrupted by the debris shifting under his weight, then gripping one end of the staff, raised it above his head and swung downward as it extended, aiming for the head of the mandalorian below. The blow would have been enough to kill a lesser man, but he'd seen Cage survive worse.

When bloodshot tripped and fell on the other side of the mound Cage couldn't help but laugh even though he had missed. He realized that meant Bloodshot was trying to close the gap and it was time for CQC. He drew his sword just as Bloodshot topped the mound. Cage instinctively stepped backwards and left to avoid the blow, and as he did he swung his sword to hit the junk pile hopefully to topple it and make Bloodshot lose his footing again.

The strike of his staff against the pile when it missed Cage's head was enough on its own to topple the heap, but this time Bloodshot was ready and managed to surf his way to the ground on a tattered slab of durasteel. The staff retracts to its two foot resting length and he turns to regard his opponent, who now stood less than three meters to his right, on the same side as the hand that holds the staff. Slowly, he raises the hand and the middle finger, then uses it to beckon the other man forward. A non-verbal taunt if ever there was one, and its meaning was clear. Let's see what you've got, kiddo.

Cage assumes a slight backstance with his feet shoulder width apart and his right knee towards the back and slightly bent. His arms are bent and semi relaxed in front of him putting his beskar sword at about chest level point towards his opponent. Bloodshot raised his hand tauntingly and underneath his helmet Cage's smile faded. He knew it was time to get serious this was his chance to prove himself. He slowly tilted his sword slightly to the left, and silencing his outer comms gave the command for the flamethrowers to fire. They went off in sync both firing a short burst more to illuminate and blind his opponent than anything else as Cages visor was made to be able to stop such effects. The moment the flames were shot Cage stepped forward with his left foot and planted himself evenly swinging the sword with all his might in a horizontal ark towards his opponents back from his left hip. The silver blade flashed briefly from the flames as the deadly edge made its way towards bloodshots back. Cage swung hard, but not hard enough to kill the other man if it struck.

Being an Umbaran, Bloodshot had a greater need than most to defend against sudden flashes of light, and as such his helmet had long ago been fitted with flash suppression capabilities, rendering the flash itself completely harmless. The flames did, however, serve to conceal the opening moves of Cage's incoming strike, and by the time the air cleared it was too late to initiate an effective counter to the blow, though luckily it seemed he wouldn't have to. The strike was parallel to the ground, and aimed midway up his back, so all Bloodshot had to do was step his left foot forward to brace and keep his back facing it and his armor would do the rest. The reinforced duraplast would be a tough nut to crack even for a vibroblade, and his opponent's sword had yet to display that capability. Unless he had far more strength than an ordinary man, the blow would do little more than chip the armor's paint job. A sloppy strike, and one that brought a question to Bloodshot's mind. What's he playing at?
He was not idle, however, even as the possibilities stampeded through his thoughts, and twisted the staff in his right hand so the end was facing the other man's chest, then extended it straight at him. If it struck, the blow itself would be minimal, only enough to potentially knock him off balance, but it would be accompanied by an electrical charge strong enough to render him immobile for a brief moment, assuming the armor was metal and the body glove beneath was uninsulated against such an attack.

Well the strike had been less effective than he had hoped, but he had hit the other man and that was a start. As Bloodshot turned his hand towards Cage he remembered the staff extending from the first strike and began to move. When the man attempted to extend it at him Cage stepped back with his right foot so he was standing parallel to bloodshot. Simultaneously the left hand gripping the sword turned fourty-five degrees upwards so the wrist was pointed at the back of Bloodshots torso. Cage also moved his right arm pulling it close to his body with his fist closed and his wrist against his solarplex pointing at Bloodshot. With a word that would be inaudible from his helmet Cage ignited both flamethrowers and attempted to catch the man in a point blank inferno after narrowly avoiding the incoming blow from the staff.

Bloodshot was already moving for his follow-up strike, and rotated on his right foot while stepping around with his left, placing himself one body's width to his former right and that much closer to Cage. The movement was enough that the majority of the flame blasts missed him entirely, though the near edge still spattered against his shields as he moved. Once he was in his new position, he brought his left hand to grip the centerpoint of his staff, then used the grip of his right hand as a pivot point and shoved it forward to slam the far end into Cage's chest, this time with enough force to throw him back into the garbage pile as well as the same electric shock as before.

Crap was what went through Cages mind as his opponent avoided most of his flames. Bloodshot stepped around putting them facing one another and began his swing. Cage realized he wasn't fast enough to counter the man, so he decided to try to evade. He let his buttplate touch his ankles as he dropped into a crouching stance allowing the staff end to go over his head. Next he rose slamming his shoulder into the other man's solarplex and igniting his jetpack lifting them both, he then disengaged the pack coming down and dropping to one knee attempting to slam Bloodshot's stomach into his armored soldier and roll him off.

Well... That was unexpected. Guess he wasn't as off-balance as I thought. Bloodshot managed to hang on to his breath in spite of the shoulder slam, thanks both to his augmented physique as well as the lack of space for proper build-up, and when they go airborne he puts one hand on top of the other man's head, the other on the jetpack, and shoves himself off with all the strength his implants give him, landing a good five meters past where Cage drops to a crouch. He slides when he hits the ground, then stands when he comes to a stop six meters from his opponent. Clever. It's not often I find an opponent with creativity. Well done.

Unmuting his comms Cage stood to talk to the man again. "Coming from you that is a lot. I haven't had a fight this good...well ever." Cage said as he looked at the other man. He had held his sword in his hand the entire time and now he slid it back into the sheath on his back. He stared at the man before him obviously a seasoned veteran and was for the firsttime in a long time happy to have met a combatant who could have fought like his father."Would you mind telling me what kind of weapons your pistols are they are much more efficient than those I carry"Cage said squaring off with the other man.

No they aren't. He said bluntly, then returned the staff to his back and pulled one of his pistols free, taking a moment to look it over even though he'd done it a thousand times before. It just hits harder. Can't hold nearly as much ammo, though. A blaster will beat a slugthrower for longevity every time. The gun he held, the same one he'd used in the opening stages of the fight, only held twelve more rounds, where Cage's blasters likely held several dozen. Without warning, he raised the pistol and fired three more shots, each one aimed at Cage's center of mass and with enough time between to compensate for whatever movement the other man made.

Well the man definitely didn't have his fathers sense of honor. The first shot struck Cage in the left shoulder after he tried to sidestep and knocked him down. He caught himself with his right hand as he felt the second shot go over him and rolled to the right dodging the third. He was back on his feet moments later drawing his left hand pistol and firing it rapidly at the man. The current energy cell had at least 48 more shots and he was going to put as many of them to use as he could. As he rapidly squeezed the trigger aiming at the man's center mass Cage walked to his left.
