This time it was Bloodshot's turn to dodge behind cover, lunging to his left and placing a large slab of durasteel between him and his opponent. His shields absorbed what few shots landed before he disappeared, and the cover of the durasteel slab would give them time to recover before the next exchange of shots, if indeed there was one. Even with the superior kinetic impact of Bloodshot's high-power slugs, Cage still had the advantage at range where his greater supply of ammunition would easily make up for any deficiency in stopping power. Thus, Bloodshot's tactic was to use the cover of the durasteel to draw him back into melee range, where the mercenary's superior experience, implants, and array of melee options would tilt the playing field in his favor. The kid's smart, though. I wouldn't put it past him to try something crazy. So there he waited, reaching out with his mind in order to keep tabs on his opponent's movements and intent.

First of all, good duel; it was a good read, but unfortunately I am tasked with having to render a judgment on it. I honestly usually don't have much trouble declaring a winner, but this bought was very back and forth from what I could see. I liked the creativity and realism in the loss of footing on the side of Bloodshot and the use of the environment to an advantage on both ends. I knew when setting the stage for this, that this wasn't exactly the easiest locale with all the other potential x-factors that come into play, but neither of you disappointed.
But alas, I am required to render a decision, whether it be win and loser or simply a draw, so here we go.
From what I could count, Cage "landed" more shots, though most of everything was absorbed by the shields of Bloodshot. Bloodshot landed fewer, but what he did land, carried a bit more of a thump (i.e. the close proximity slug that knocked cage to the ground), so I'm rendering my final judgment on significant damage taken.
WINNER: Bloodshot
