The Great Assembly House was a building on the planet Serenno. In this bell-shaped hall, members of the Great Houses of Serenno—the six major noble families—met to discuss matters of planetary importance. Member of the lesser houses also took part to the parliament, although performing a purely advisory role.

The old hall sat in prime real estate, somewhat isolated from the city, facing over one of Serenno’s many lakes, providing both a scenic view of the lake itself and the mountains. Hence, a demolition team had moved in to destroy the old hall, to make space for the new Serenno Royal palace for the newly-empowered Count. However, the Count did not want this treasure of Serenno’s history lost, so he ordered the workmen to take it down and reassemble it in the center of the city. As the various construction droids toiled away, another group of the best architects, artisans, gardeners, painters, masons, and craftsmen had assembled, along with dozens of lesser craftsmen. These people would design, build, furnish, and decorate the new palace.

The demolitions has been completed. The old structure had been moved to the center of Carannia. In the meantime, the foundations for the new palace had been layed. Walls, and archways had begun springing from the ground. At the same time, an elevated track was being constructed. This track led directly to the Carannia Hangar. It would be used to shorten the 2 hour trip through heavy traffic into a short, easy journey of 20 minutes. This track led into the gatehouse, where guests would get out from the luxurious train and into carriages to be whisked to the palace. The location of the the palace was ideal, because important things could be done away from the chaos of the city but still relatively close to it in order to make it relevant. The Count was hoping it would be completed on time for when he started his negotiations with the Galactic Alliance.

All of the exterior work has been done. Many tonnes of reasources had been used on the grand building, and it was truly worth it. However, although the outside was done, the inside still required a lot of work. Although floors had been put in, the walls still needed to be paneled, furniture moved in, decorations and fixtures installed... there was still much work to be done.

At last, the palace was nearing completion. The rail line to the hangar had been completed, floors and paneling had been installed. Fixtures had been put into place. Nearly all of the necessary furniture was in place. The final few things were being completed.

At last, the colossal undertaking was complete. The final painting was in place. Everything had been arranged to the Count’s liking. Though the Count was not here to witness this, his right hand was, and the palace was truly a sight to see. Here was a monument that would immortalize Aderon in the history books.

 This was the palace that the engeneers had constructed. Built overlooking a lake, it afforded some of the best views available. The large outcropping into the lake served as a place of meditation for Aderon. Looming over it, however, was the main structure. Known as the East Parlor, this room was on the east side of the palace. With blue walls and red furnitushings, this room provided an interesting contrast; that of light and dark, with the blue representing Aderon and the red representing Tyranus. This room had portraits of Aderon’s ancestors adorning the walls. In addition, the room had exotic plants found deep in the jungles of Serenno. Filled with plush chairs and couches surrounding a coffee table, this room was often used to entertain guests. However, it did not have very good views, as it was next to the ornamental gardens, so trees obscured the windows. In contrast to the heaviness of the East Parlor, the West Parlor had lighter tones. Though still elaborate, the room conveyed a feeling of bouncyness. It was a pleasant place to relax during the day, perhaps drinking some champagne. The roof was adorned with frescoes of various scenes of glory committed by the House. In addition, there were statues adorning the walls along with flowers drawn from all over the galaxy. Although hardly even needed, this room would also serve as a reception room if Aderon ever through a party, hence the excess of white chairs gathered around tables. In stark contrast to the East Parlor, the room had unobstructed views of the forest. This colossal ballroom served as the primary attraction whenever Aderon hosted a party. It was also used to give holonet brodcasts, as all that was necessary to do was place a coffee table and a chair from the West Parlor in the room and set up the recording equipment. This room served as the formal office of of Aderon, where he conducted meetings. This room served as the bedroom of Aderon. Only Aderon and a handful of extremely trusted friends and servants had access to this room. Various hallways ran through the palace, connecting rooms rogether. This massive dining room served as the place of feasting during balls. It was rarely used. This is Aderon’s personal dining room, where he eats either alone or with personal friends and dignitaries from other parts of the galaxy. Finally, we arrive at the gardens. Not pictured is the ornamental garden outside the palace, complete with trimmed hedges, statues, fountains and various other things. However, there is a path that leads into the woods to the lonely gazebo situated next to a fast flowing river, surrounded by beautiful flowers. The ships from the GA arrive in the palace hanger. 6 X-wings enter first followed by the CR90, then the other 6 X-wings. The A-wings make a few high speed passes around surveying the area, then land breakneck speeds in the hanger. The pilots of the X-wings get out and make sure the area is secure. They are all wearing standard GA flight suits, blaster pistols hat their sides. They form up in front of the loading ramp of the larger ship. Like gymnasts, the pilots of the A-wings flip out of their ships. Four men and two women, each dressed in a vibrant greed form-fitting flight suit, the crest of House Thul on one shoulder, House Organa on the other. Eight women are the first to debark the Corvette.
Muscular and beautiful, these are Standash's personal guard. Trained to be the highest commandos on Hapes, but lack of family name kept them from reaching the heights there.
Standash chose them specifically for this reason, skilled and determined to prove themselves noble. They were dressed in gold and black armor, blaster rifles on their shoulders, their larger weapons were inside the ship with the other six commandos. Finally, Standash Thul walked down the ramp. A dress that fit her perfectly changed colors from gold to sliver as she walked in the light. A small tiara with diamonds sat on her head and a necklace with a rainbow gem pendant on her neck. The commandos take up defensive positions around her.

All 100 members of the Serenno Guard were in attendance, sunlight glinting off the golden plating in the seal of the House. Also in attendance were Vinyaya, the Count, and a state trooper. He looked over Standash, sizing her up. Here indeed was a beautiful specimen of mankind. However, he could tell that she used this as leverage, and was not about to be trapped by the stunning lady, who no doubt has wooed over countless politicians with her womanly charms in her quest for power. He could also tell she came from an extremely wealthy family, perhaps even as wealthy as his own. It would be quite a task to impress her, but he was confident in it.
“Welcome to Serenno. I am Count Aderon Dooku, leader of the system. Can I assume you are the representative from the Galactic Alliance?”

I am Princess Standash Alizarin Thul of Alderaan, President of the Galactic Alliance Senate. It is a pleasure to meet you, Count. She bows her head slightly.
The Galactic Alliance has requested an audience to discuss Serenno's inclusion into our ranks. She looks the man over. Slightly older than herself with a noble upbringing. In her head, she put together all of the options that this would lead to. She noticed his look at her. He had noticed her beauty, but his eyes gave that he wasn't captivated by it. She gives a coy smile. If she were just a pretty face this would be bad news for her. But, she was brilliant. Many other politicians and business leaders had failed and fallen into the trap that she was just a pretty face. She had taken what she needed from them before they knew what had happened. She reminded herself that this wasn't that kind of negotiation. She was here seeking a future friend, a new member of the Alliance. She walked through her guard, as they watched the area. she made her way to feet in front of the Count

The Count knew that he had to be careful dealing with her. Such royalty could be clever. She may have looked radiant, almost like a goddess, but he could trust the fact that many had fallen prey to the idea that she was just a pretty face. The coy face she made betrayed her true nature. It was a mindset the Count followed as well, at least when he was leading or dabbling in politics. Besides, in his mind, love or infatuation was forbidden by the Jedi Code of old. This code he held sacred. He gestured to the entrance of the railjet terminal.
“Well then, Princess Thul, we will conduct our negotiations in my palace. If you would follow me, I will take you there.”

Selene stepped into Aderon’s palace, looking radiant as ever. Dressed in an outfit made of a nearly-transperantt silk, embroidered with diamonds running down the chest area of the dress, she looked like she was princess of the skies. With a platinum and diamond tiara to match, she hoped she looked good enough to tickle her old friend’s fancy. They hadn’t met since they were children, and she had heard he had matured into quite a handsome young man. Herself looking for a suitor, perhaps he might be the one. She had taken a horse up to the eastern entrance of the building, which had a small veranda that opened onto the beautiful floral gardens. Aderon’s attendants let her in, as they were aware of the fact that she was considered his equal. After requesting an audience, she wandered into the small lobby area just outside his office, where she daintily sat down, waiting for him to show.

Selene rose to greet Aderon as he stepped into the room. Her shadows had indeed proven correct, he had developed into quite the man. He stood at the door, eyes a shimmering turquoise hue like a sea on Scarif. She did a small plié, seeing as he was to be crowned as Grand Duke. She walked to him until she was two feet away from him.
“Greetings. I am Selene Nalju... you may not remember me, but I knew you when you were a child. We were good friends. I have come here because I wish to rekindle that friendship.”

“Selene... is that really you?”
Memories flooded through his head. Memories of a past life, one of happiness. He remembered running through the valleys of Serenno, rolling down hills, going swimming in the many lakes of the planet... that was a time in his life he tries to block out, a happy, stress free time. He found it hard to keep his humanity in this job. Most rulers chose to keep their humanity out of their ruling... he tried not to. He had to admit, she was quite beautiful now. Her amethyst eyes contrasted quite nicely with her snowy skin and flowing blonde hair. Being the gentleman that he was, he naturally offered his hand to her.
“Selene... would you like to take a walk with me?”

Selene accepted his hand, and they began walking through the vast palace. Striding down one of the hallways, they watched in silence, observing the beautiful fountain outside. While he was distracted by this, she couldn’t help but glance at him. From this perspective, his muscle-bound frame was clearly visible, as the cape he wore wasn’t obscuring it. But what captivated her, more than anything, were his eyes, eyes that the sun was playing across, bringing out the depth of his crystal-blue eyes that sparkled like the Mediterranean. They stood in silence for a while, admiring the outside, before he glanced at her, and noticed her staring. She blushed profusely before looking away to hide her embarrassment. It was very un lady like for her to be staring. Turning around, she noticed a painting on the wall. The painting in question was an interesting work. It showed the original Jedi Council charging into blue and red blasted fire. Leading the charge was Master Yoda, who had jumped into the air and had his lightsaber pointed at the person viewing the painting. Around the edges of the painting there was an inky border, as if we were observing through the lense of some portal. The title of the painting was “The Charge of the Jedi”.
“So who made that painting? Whoever did has immense skill with the brush, I must say.”

Aderon smiled she admired the painting.
“It is my own work. It is meant to depict the fall of the old Jedi Order.”
Aderon looked at her. He could deny that she looked very nice, but he knew these feelings were beneath him. Still... he loved the way she walked, how she held her fan, how she looked. But these were just physical charms. For all he knew, she could be using him. He had to be vigilant. The two walked further, into his garden. Here there was a maze entirely made of white roses, with a fountain and the center.
“So... do you think you can win?”

“You’re on!”
Clarisse ran through the beautiful white rose maze happily. A slight breeze was blowing, so some petals flew in into her face. Without a care in the world, she happily ran about until she ran around the corner. Unfortunately, at that moment Aderon also came around the corner, and the two crashed into each other. Obviously, this was very awkward for the two. Who sat there until Aderon offered her a hand up. Accepting, she stood up. They walked together until they reached the end of the maze. Seeing the beautiful fountain adorned with white roses and a bench to sit on, she was very happy, choosing to sit down on the edge of the fountain. Here she sat as he returned to reality. Remembering that life was no longer carefree. Spending time with Aderon reminded her of when she was nine or ten, how he was her schoolgirl crush. Such actions seemed foolish now, but that was a time when she didn’t have the stresses of leading to contend with. She still harbored some guilt about killing her brother, and hoped that someday she could forgive herself for it.

As he sat on the bench, he leaned back into the expensive wood, observing the day. It was quite beautiful , perhaps worthy of his brush. Maybe some other time. Instead, he pulled out the piece of paper he had and begun creating a small swan out of the paper. After about 5 minutes, he was finished. The swan looked fantastic, perhaps a bit rushed. A few dozen birds sat perched on the hedges. They were singing a very sweet, happy melody that drifted through the air, complementing the beautiful summers day and snowy-white roses perfectly. As he sat, a butterfly came and perched on Clarisse’s outstretched hand. Picking up another piece of paper, he walked over to her and looked closely at the butterfly. As he did, Aderon accidentally touched her arm, to which they both blushed. Walking back, he took out another piece of paper and began drawing her as she sat. It was a sketch, so it took only ten minutes, but the result was quite nice. The two walked out of the maze before going through several beds of pink tulips. They then headed down the path into the forest. It was quite beautiful here, with many animals and plants. After walking for about five minutes, they reached the gazebo by the river. The river made very calming sounds as it ran through rocks and such, while the beautiful flowers created a light but sweet aroma. Here they sat.
“When I was a boy, we had a gazebo just like this one. I used to sit there and look at the river. It is very calming. I would often run there when my Jedi training was going badly... it was a place of tranquil, where I could calm down and shed my anger. Now that I think about it... I was only running away from my problems”.

Clarisse followed every word he said, nodding her head occasionally. In truth, she was just waiting to make her move. True, he held the ideals of the Old Jedi Order, but she felt something for him, something she had not felt for s while. She had played off the emotions of dozens of men who had wanted to... do certain things with her, who wanted to feel her, touch her, quench their hungers for her. She had never lived any of them, instead using them until her power was more secure. Here, however, was a man she was remotely attracted to, and it looked as though he didn’t feel the same about her. The irony of the situation almost made her laugh. She tried to hide it, making a rather silly, love struck look. Blushing, she leaned against a column of the gazebo, she tried to laugh it off, and stared out over the water.
“I’ve found that running away is sometimes the best option. But other times it does not. For example this view is useless to resist.”
She turned to him.
“Seeing as lunch is approaching, I’d quite like something to eat here. That way we can be alone.”
Her face flushed a scarlet shade.
Woah. That sounded like I asked him on a date. Better slow it down.
“Uh, I only mean that because we have a lot to catch up on!”
