Oh definitely, but that's an "if" right now so I just listed it as a singular "hangar" for the time being.

Fair, just thought I'd mention that because details and whatnot. I do like the idea of multiple hangars, -although it would be even cooler if they all had specific functions. Like a hangar for visitors, one for guests, one for military defense, etc.

My line of thinking was something like that but was also considering different hangars depending on the ships' sizes, though I don't think that one usually actually matters that much...

I mean, size matters but for the most part any ship coming to actually land at the academy is probably only going to be light freighter sized at most and If something bigger wanted to land there could always be a designated landing field on the grounds

For the record, my $0.02 is that fewer threads is better, because it will at least give an illusion of being active, which is more likely to draw new writers than a wall of mostly unused locations. (points to Honoghr)

Edited the post to better reflect some discussion from chat (including the above post): - Forgot to specify that having the "Main Entrance and Halls" thread would also double as a "multipurpose" thread for locations that don't have their own yet. Might be worth considering a renaming as well to better serve that purpose. - As mentioned by Mahir, fewer threads. Dining Area, Detention Area, Classrooms, and Tech Labs are the least-utilized threads and will be kept off the list for now.

Perhaps it might be called Grand collection of unallocated spaces?

Might be best just to rename it to a generic "Jedi Temple" thread like the Jedi Base already has...

So folks, if one wanted to open up diplomatic channels with the Jedi Order, whom would one ask to see?

I don’t think we necessarily do “diplomatic relations” with factions so much as, you don’t shoot us when we come in and help keep the peace But talking to the Grand Master or a member of the council might be a good start towards a working partnership.

Orbital strikes on Felucia is a good start...

So with the eminent fall of the GA I was wondering what the Jedi Orders next move is in this meta-narrative? Are we going to have to also go underground or do we have the strength to actually hold our worlds? Not pushing for any one path, just wondering.

Rest assured, we'll hold Felucia. We're gonna be building a new temple (and using the raid as an excuse to do so), but we won't be losing any ground. The Sith attack is a smash-and-grab when it boils down to it, not a total destruction tour.
We'll operate by striking alliances with the "good guy" splinter groups as well as potentially the Jensaarai, and we'll be defenders as always. I'm encouraging Jedi writers to get out and about after this, throw themselves at various worlds for defense of the innocent, maybe some First Order sabotage if they're so inclined, just to keep things interesting. If you all want me to be a sort of OOC director as well, I'm willing to try my hand at putting out "missions" that writers on all sides can take a crack at.

I look forward to getting cracks at some of these missions against the Jedi and any others that come up.

Alrighty. And I'd be down for a bit more direction. (Playing DnD so much has spoiled me with having someone throwing quests at me)
Also, just curious, since so many other scenarios from the SW universe have been emulated here, has their ever been a "Jedi Purge" point in JvS (even if the PCs aren't purged, just the over all feel that they are all that is left)? Just wondering if that has ever been explored on this site.

I mean are we considering the Mandalorian Holy War a Force User purge?

I’d say that was an attempted purge, since there were still a bunch of NPC Padawans, Knights, and Masters. Can’t say there has ever really been a point where the PC characters were all that comprised the Jedi Order...
Could be a fun scenario though. No support staff, no Jedi beyond those written by people...

Let me be the first to admit that I'm not really on board with this idea presently. I don't think the villainous factions really need every single advantage in the galaxy, and besides, maybe it's bias, but I like the notion of the Jedi Order being one of the only strong factions left on the side of justice, and potentially having to spread themselves thin in aiding a bunch of splinter groups.

I also think it would be very difficult to do coming out of Felucia. Even if the Sith did clear out all NPC Jedi there, any that existed on other worlds is still pretty high, allowing the remaining PC from Felucia to alert the others. Even still, with the point of the raid as a smash and grab operation mostly to disrupt and send a message to the Jedi and the galaxy, I'd wager there'd be plenty left over. As a result, they'd only come back stronger and at least better defended in the future.
If others wanted to go along with it, I'd certainly be up for it. But at the moment, I don't see it as a really conceivable plot line at the moment. There's no element of surprise. no pre-planned and simultaneous attacks and not enough Sith to overwhelm to such a point without losing a fair bit themselves. Just my opinion though.
