Smugglers, Thieves, Soldiers, and Riff-raff Welcome! - - - - - Out of the Mandalorian wars, the galaxy watches on in terror as the Republic dissolves and the Jedi retreat in "Centralization". Even worse, out of the wretched hive of villainy that is the Dark Tide, Imperial Remnant, Second Fel Empire, and the latest iteration of the Galactic Empire, a new and sinister force - calling itself the First Order - arises to power. But something waits to meet them; a band of fighters, arisen from the last vestiges of the fallen Republic forces, a Resistance, fights from the shadows to try and beat back the darkness. But can this plucky band of soldiers, smugglers, rogue pilots, and daring sentients of the galaxy hope to prevail? Well, we believe they can...
With YOUR help.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Intro says it all; the Resistance is a Rebel style user group consisting of smugglers, soldiers, pilots, and pretty much anyone else who wants some good old fashion Rebel style RP. Our military is non-existant, consisting of craft up to but not over freighter in size; our headquarters is where we happen to drop our bags, which, currently, is a Lormar-class refinery station. We try and keep mobile, and what ISNT mobile is small, improvised, and ill-equipped indeed to deal with our adversaries. In other words...sheer awesome wrapped in bacon, wrapped in a further layer of awesome. We are currently accepting anyone who wants to RP with us; though, we try to minimize the whole command structure, in that we don't want to get bogged down by politics and chain of command sort of writing. You know, bane of every Republic ever written. Instead, orders come from NPC's located at home base, which filter down to us, the down on the ground types - this frees us up for some truly awesome RP, centered around our pilots and soldiers. So, come one come all, and lets get the party started. If your interested, give me a PM, or, just post here and add your name to the Roster. A bit early, no? The Republic hasn't truly fallen yet. Nor has the First Order been declared IC.  Nevertheless, considering how the Hapans turned out, I'm sure they'll be more than willing to secretly fund some of the Rebel Alliance's efforts. Yes. I said Rebel Alliance, because that's such a better sounding name than the Resistance. |

Gotta agree with Belial on this one haha! I haven't even formally declared the First Order IC, so still got plenty to do before I am ready to be the sinister force of the galaxy. Its getting there though, probably got a few more major posts to do on Muunilist, some expansion here and there, followed by some militarization... then just zerg-rush at the Jedi  Anywho, I have been tempted to sign up an Admiral or General of the fallen Republic who joins up with the Rebel Alliance or Resistance to do his part. But I am gonna wait for Belial's SL involving the Republic's dissolution to be finalized and be done with before rolling forward. Plus, still gotta do some solidifying with the First Order before really taking off with it. |

I sooo like Rebel Alliance better as well Belial . I mean, Resistance? Resisting want? Who are you made of? Rebel Alliance sounded far less ambiguous to me, lol. I also contemplated a whole different name, but thought to myself; "nah, stick to canon. Can't go wrong there." As for everything else - I'm just getting a head start. In all honesty, I'd be surprised to see any actual activity even by January. That and there's the whole "new group consolidation" thing to go through. Would be AWESOME to have a general or Admiral sign up with the Resistance, though. In all honesty, right now, it's nothing more than one guy and a freighter, pissed off at the galaxy, wasting away on a refinery station. Not much to get TOO excited about  |
