Alright, so one more major announcement: Csilla will be finished up shortly. Work has kept me occupied and too tired to truly focus on a good post that will bring the conquest of Chiss Space to an end. With Garqi almost done as well, we should be at square one for this civil war! So a short time, and patience, is needed before both the Alliance/Jedi and the First Order are ready for Dantooine.
I am guessing that we will take a bit of a break to refuel the mood and get us prepped for the spark that will ignite this civil war, but we will be ready nonetheless soon.
Sorry if this seems to be taking long, but RL has always been in conflict with RP as usual. Thank you for your patience, my friends!

It's about making a good story... Of course it's going to take time. It's not about rapid fire posts, it's about quality.

Since I have been keeping some tabs on this I am just going to throw this out there.
Is it possible that some other "factions" or spies may have become aware of the factions that are involved in this Civil War?
Personally, I feel like Mandos even, would be able to tell if there was something brewing. Which is partially where we are going with this resurgence...
We are discussing now, on Mandalore, of seeking out both sides of the engagement. No war will be mentioned to any of the other factions, but it will be a mercenary call. Ace in the hole type situation?
There will be something set up to meet at a neutral location for both sides of this.
Letting you know now, rather than later, so that there can be something set up. This is what we are doing for now, otherwise we are considering setting up a "conflict" on a neutral location, to get some things started for ourselves. Perhaps one or both of the factions involved in this would like to participate so that they have some practice in before the big showdown?
Let me know if you'd like, or wait for the IC communication, either way works.

Well, until Dantooine starts, all that people IC would know, is that there is an Imperial faction in the Outer Rim, and maybe that the Jedi are gathering some allies (though, even that is quite debatable), but I leave the rest up to those more learned/higher ranked than myself to extrapolate and give their thoughts...

I am aware that things are hush hush on both sides. I am just saying it is completely believable that people outside the factions know there is something going on. And as it is consistent, mandos typically would offer service to someone who was beginning something. Weighing their options. Like I said before, it is entirely up to the gathered group.
I for one am starting to think it's just wanting to exclude the mandos from involvement, which is fine, it's not the storyline we were starting, but just throwing out an option is all.

Well, allow me to clarify some stuff right now. 1. The Alliance isn't known yet, the Jedi are keeping that under wraps. The First Order becomes away of some sort of ragtag group through the events on Garqi, but they wouldn't know it was actually some sort of confederation of various military entities. The Alliance will become known to the galaxy at Dantooine.
2. The First Order isn't known either. The galaxy would be aware that there is Imperial activity within the Outer Rim, but vague reports and inaccurate rumors can't pinpoint if this activity is under one banner or various warlords. Their name is to be revealed to the galaxy at Dantooine, just like the Alliance.
^Above part ninja'd by Harnan
So you could tell something is brewing based upon the situation of the galaxy; the Republic has been dissolved, the Jedi have been rather quiet and Imperial activity has spiked up within the northern reaches of the Outer Rim. So based upon those three facts, yeah, the Mandos can infer that something is brewing or, maybe, the better wording is that something doesn't seem right.
As for your idea, on behalf of the First Order side, I like the idea of a meet up at a neutral location or a conflict that where the Mandos can interact with either or both factions. We just don't want third party factions involved; you either work for the Alliance or First Order or you are an observer. However, given the Mandos tendency to work for both sides of any war as mercenaries (canon evidence is just everywhere on the Star Wars wikia), we would definitely be welcoming to Mandalorian mercenaries on either side of the war. Could bring some interesting twists to the Mandalorian Rebirth movement with individuals on either side of the war, if it ends up like that.

of course not, I did not mean to seem like I was dissuading the Mandalorians at all from being involved, just wanted to make sure hings were consistent, and I apologise if the impression you got was otherwise. Honestly, it would be interesting to see the Mandalorians actually end up being mercs for both sides, since that has happened in canon before, where they worked on opposite sides of the same conflict.

Also there was a live HoloNet broadcast by Soku Ren of the Knights of Ren, declaring their existence and hinting at Imperial resurgence.

Is this a good place to discuss the Train Heist?
I'm on car ten... and it'd be Reeeeeeeeal nice if someone would actually post some opposition, something I can post with, or vs. Nothing more lame than having to post all your NPC's and villains in addition to your PC.
Or is that SL dead, and I've just been missing staff meetings?

There's actually a topic that's been made for talking about the train heist directly.
Now in regards to it stalling? That's my fault and it will be addressed soon. However that being said, that only concerns the action in Cars 23 and 22. So you'll have to talk to the outnumbered Imperial PC's to see if you can get some interaction on the other Cars.

"There's actually a topic that's been made for talking about the train heist directly."
There is?
I just found the first (in order of most recently active) OOC thread related to the civil war RP, assuming people attached to the project might be checking the most active thread. And if the Train Heist is in fact not going anywhere, or is being ditched in favor of other threads in this RP, let me know! I'm not a big fish in this SL, but you'll need little fish to actually RP it out. So do your little fish a favor, keep us in the loop!

For this battle, given the point system I am using, I have decided that both sides post their fleets for public record. That way, people know how many ships are on both sides at the start of battle and help keep track of things. Plus a public record is good for both sides, helps players on either side know what is lost and what is still available as the battle develops. I am gonna see how this public record deal goes for this battle.
I have also listed how many troops my fleet can carry to the battlefield below the fleet composition.
First Order Fleet (3,500) - 1 Resurgent-class Star Destroyer (200) (Resurgence) - 1 Imperious-class Star Destroyer (100) (Subjugator) - 4 Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers (400) (Resilient, Intrepid, Damocles, Ironsword) - 4 Imperial II-class Star Destroyers (400) (Goliath, Vanquisher, Nemesis, Dominion) - 10 Victory II-class Star Destroyers (750) - 10 Vindicator-class heavy cruisers (750) - 2 Immobilizer 416 cruisers (150) - 10 Strike-class medium cruisers (500) - 5 Ardent-class Fast Frigates (250)
Total Military Force = 85,000 troops
Starfighters will not be calculated since it will be quite nearly innumerable how many wings both sides will have for this battle. Same can be said for vehicles too.

From what I understand, Mark's mainly covering the fleet aspect for the Alliance side, he can further clarify on that. As far as Jedi/Alliance involvement, what I had in mind for those who want to be part of the initial defense force is that word could get out about Imperial presence on the world (which, let's be fair, that'd be hard to cover up), and we could send some people ahead of time to act as the initial defense force, perhaps operating out of the Jedi Enclave. Be aware you'll be a little outnumbered at first, but about midway through is when the larger part of the Alliance forces show up to even the odds, and that's when the Alliance's existence is publicly announced to the galaxy.
Throw your hats in! This is gonna be a good battle.

The Imperial forces have arrived! The forces of destruction have come to the tranquil world of Dantooine! Jedi, get to your posts and.... TO THE WALLS!! DEFEND THE WALLS!! Don't worry, I just wanted to post the arrival of the bulk of the Imperial forces to Dantooine. I will give the rest of you time to set yourselves up on Dantooine before going further.
