Please give your honest feedback on JvS profiles, love 'em or hate 'em. Any any other related suggestions / comments.

While I didn't vote for it due to not having enough votes, the idea of optional NPC profiles might be nice.
Regarding the Traffic Light System, with some tweaking I feel like that could help solve some of the spontaneous vs planned issues that have arisen of late, seeing as it would be something which could be easily checked for on someone's profile without having to go through the process of PMing them necessarily. Combined with the little Traffic Light note section that there used to be it could alleviate some of those problems, presuming of course that people make sure to utilize them properly. Of course, there might be factors that I'm not aware of, but the TLS seems like a good idea to me that just sort of fell out of use.

I have made two votes: "I like them just the way they are" but also "I wish they used ProBoards BBCode." Let me elaborate on that second one. I love that the profiles are edited in typical BBCode because that's what I'm used to. However, I understand that it might be confusing for some people who may or may not be used to ProBoards BBCode and would prefer to use that in the profile, or at least have it for consistency's sake. Personally, if it were up to me, I'd prefer sticking to old BBCode, but if there was a way to incorporate both styles, I'd be all for that, just for inclusivity's sake. Otherwise I'm fine with them as is. I can't think of a field I'd like added but that's because I think there are just enough fields to cover everything; only thing I could really think of is to split Accomplishments and Goals, but that's not one I'm too fussed about. Regarding the Traffic Light System, with some tweaking I feel like that could help solve some of the spontaneous vs planned issues that have arisen of late, seeing as it would be something which could be easily checked for on someone's profile without having to go through the process of PMing them necessarily. Of course, there might be factors that I'm not aware of, but the TLS seems like a good idea to me that just sort of fell out of use. Well, the "Traffic Light Additional" section is still there. Also, what you're describing is how the TLS was meant to be used, but that's a different debate entirely. actually I guess that's a relevant debate since it's on the poll. But yeah, what you're describing is how it was always meant to be used, and that's how I've used it.

Honestly, I went with liking them the way they are, and using Probaords BBCode, because there wasn't really a third option I liked with regards to the TLS. Honestly, I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either. Honestly, if it was used more to denote roleplay preferences between planned, unplanned, and both, it would be nice (or maybe having the images working).
Also, I saw the mention of the old JvS Wiki as an option. Just gunna say, that a new one is in the works, and once it's a little further along, we'll drop a link to it looks at Aer

I like the JvS wiki. I find it a lot easier to find someone who isnt on the site anymore. There is a wealth of knowledge there if people had just updated their profiles. How else are people who are new going to know about the PI, if IF and other influential factions/characters.
That being said I like them just the way they are. The are the perfect size and you can fit everything you need on them.

I would kinda like to see more fields, even just a few unmarked ones, for those with ... non-standard profile needs. However most of that can be overcome with the quotes coding. The wiki was also nice. Becc, wouldn't it make more sense to just start reusing the old one again? Why make a new one? Did someone loss the admin passwords?

Overall, I like the profile set up here. It's one of the best one's I've used (though I've not used but really three in total so that doesn't have much grounding.) The biggest part is simply the high character limit (if there is one) which allows me to put great detail into each field without worrying about something being too long. The only thing I would add field-wise would be a combat section to separate it from Force powers and such, but as previously said already, it can be added easily with quote coding.
I've used the JvS wiki before with another character and for that I'm neither yay or nay as it is really just a very detailed profile. Most of what is needed for direct rp can be found in the main profile provided the information is actually added.

Well, aside from the fact it had a lot of really broken stuff and old articles, the admin isn't really around, so a new one allows us a chance to organize things better and sort through it all a little more nicely, and have a bit more control.
