Oifig an Scáileanna na Iarndóideanna ~ Office Shadows of the Iron Fists (SI)
*This office set in a secluded area of Dún na Manaan is the center of IF covert and clandestine operations. It is finely organized. The immense number of confidential dossiers that have collected is organized into two major sections (a) Covert and ( clandestine operations in two separate cabinets. Each of these divisions is then separated into subdivisions, namely: Factions and Individuals, arranged alphabetically. A JN-66 model analysis droid, SP-4 analysis droid and R2 unit are on site. Three desks, each with a computer independent of the mainframe system are located here. One is that of General Michael Collins, acting delegate of Scáil an Bháis ~ The Shadow of Death. The other two are assigned to his two most trusted aids: Major General Harry Boland and Major General Dan Breen. Another desk is set to the side. Here the old war horse Joe Cahill sits quietly attending to paperwork. A mainframe terminal is located beside the filing system. The room also has 8 small work stations equipped with computers.
The four figures are so central to the office they must themselves be described as if a piece of furniture. In appearance they clash to an extreme: Collins at 6’4” and 240lbs of pounds of solid flesh, handsome and charming. Breen has at least two inches and twenty pounds on Collins but a face only a mother could love and not a drop of eloquence in his speech. Boland with his 5’11” wiry 185lbs frame is the center; not so dashing as Collins nor crude as Breen but rides that space so forgetful half way between. And this demeanor is much to his favor as he is rarely remembered. Cahill at but 5’8” is neither bulky nor thin, his speech blunt yet quiet and slow. But if his strong hand, long arms and broad shoulders missed the sight none who met eye to eye with Cahill ever forgot. All differences physical differences aside these men are creatures of the same species. They are ruthless, calculated, cold-blooded murderers one and all.
They all wear the same basic garb and weaponry. A lightweight anti-ballistic full-body spider silk armor with added covert stab vest and similar protection at wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, inner thigh and groin with a cortosis weave. White dress shirts, three-piece suit, tie with trench-coat, black fedora with a dark burgundy band and high-cut boots. Light double shoulder holster with two IF pistols, clip in the gun with a round in the chamber. Three clips hip to hip across the back. Two more clips in trench coat, six Fenian Fire and four EMP grenades. 33cm IF dagger concealed of phrik & bronze with cortosis weave on side in a snap release leather sheath bronze at throat and tip with cortosis weave stitched down the body. Wrist cuffs, mounted on right a wrist blade, finger activated rail delivery system with a 15cm double-edge needle-point garroted blade of phrik & bronze with cortosis weave and handle custom made. Manual lock-guard when closed and auto-locks extended. On the left cuff 4 darts with a manual lock-guard safety feature and single button firing mechanism. Two 15m rolls of baradium tape in side pockets, a comm. A garrote, handmade spring-wire with custom handles in left pocket with a balaclava exposing only the eyes. Attaché case of phirk bound in leather. Packed according to expected situation it acts as a shield.
All own the traditional Claíomh Mór but scarce arm themselves with it as it compromises stealth.
Collins likes his men close. Just behind the office chambers are located – the home of An Scuad/ An Dáréag Aapal ~ The Squad/The Twelve Apostles. Yet one room is but a storage space, well organized and many a weapon. This is the room of Joe Cahill who never leaves the office to rest but merely pulls out a simple old cot tucked neatly in a corner.
The security of this office is exceptionally tight. A small box extends from the office. Here an IFID card is required to open the first door. Upon entry the door shuts and a retina scan linked to the ID card is performed. Lastly all but Collins’ staff and the highest authorities in the IF may enter without express approval. Into this office come orders that are filled out with terrifying efficiency and lightning speed*
