First person vs third person. Pretty straight forward question, I don't think it needs explanation.

Is it possible to blend it up? If so then thats what I do. Give some insight into what the character is thinking, then go into third person to explain actions and stuff

Personally, I find first person (at least first person limited, where things are told from the narrator's perspective) is limiting in terms of how awkward it can be at times to work description into a post, and also in how it confines the perspective to that of your character. Third person omniscient, which I prefer writing in, does not seem to me to have the same limitations, and to me grants a more free hand where narration is concerned, which I find helps a great deal when writing with others since it by and large avoids the possible confusion of a first person narrative that might not make discriminating between the character's biases or interpretations of events easy to accomplish.
Mixing perspectives, to me, seems awkward as well, since it breaks up the flow of narration when the shifts in perspective occur and can be absolutely confusing to a reader if not done exceptionally skillfully.

When I actually do write in first-person, it's usually only for specific purposes - memoirs (like I did with Aedon), insight posts, those sorts of things. So, to me, it has its time and place. But, for the most part, I'm a third-person perspective writer; mainly for the reason that I blend multiple NPCs in with the action, and it's quite a bit easier to do in third.

I started writing in first person to challenge myself - could I tell the reader everything they needed to know through Liya's limited point of view? The answer is almost always yes. It got a lot easier over time. I do still use third person for NPCs sometimes (especially if Liya is not present).

Third person. I tend to be the narrator in my writing rather then going into detail of one's thoughts or physical actions even though it would give readers a better understanding. It's not by choice, first person is my weakness, in fact i prefer reading first person or mixed writing.

Haven't posted much here but I'm a third person writer. I find that a more objective approach works better, and sometimes you can use the third person to deliberately obscure a character's thoughts.
