A 2x1m door made of 8cm of solid durasteel requires an IF ID Card with authorization. A second door of the same dimensions in a 2x3m cubicle calls for retina scan to pass. The Medical Lab is finely organized and kept impeccably clean. In this secluded sterile environment contamination of samples is cut to a minimum. Human aid is kept to a bare minimum for the same reason and droid labor is used. These measures are of great importance as tainting of samples was a considerable problem in the early stages of research.

A desk with an independent mainframe computer and two chairs are located in the far left corner. Also against the left wall medical records, DNA samples and shots required for retinal identification from every Iron Fists member and several other significant figures are stored here. This massive warehouse of data is kept in highly secure durasteel units and can only be opened by (a) IF ID Card and ( a retina scan limited to The Doctor.
The facilities are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical procedures and analysis.
Counters run along the walls. Medical equipment storage cabinets & two sinks are found against the back wall. Further storage of medical equipment, a computer with external access to a wide database of genetic data and a library of texts cover the right wall. A central island is the heart of diagnostic study. The highest standard forensic equipment from simple tools to state of the art machinery is located here. The lab is equipped with four GH-7 medical analysis units, a JN-66 analysis droid and SP-4 analysis droid.

-The GH-7 medical analysis unit is a model of medical droid. A multi-purpose automaton designed to handle diagnostics and surgical assistance duties. Though reminiscent of a humanoid form, the GH-7 was not modeled on any particular species, instead designed to perform efficiently on a variety of outlying worlds among any number of alien races, thus very versatile. The droid has access to a wide range of medical duties, all the while wirelessly connected to the current main computer of the medical facility in which it is employed. Also, it could serve as an assistant to an organic medic, as it was made so that all of its tools were easily accessible. This brand of droid offers an excellent addition to a research setting.

-JN-66 is a model of analysis droid. A repulsorlift equipped with four color photoreceptors, with multi-wavelength imaging at extreme levels of magnification, set into its flat face. They are fitted with advanced verbobrains and sensor apparatus. As with all JN-66 droids at the archives are stripped of coverings for frequent irradiation baths & its repulsors were used to ensure that it never touches the surface in the archives.

-The SP-4 analysis droid is used to provide analysis assistance to organic beings. The IF employs at least one SP-4 at all times to aid researchers with mysteries that prove difficult to solve. The SP-4 can wirelessly access any mainframe data libraries, analyze reams of data, and then come to a single conclusion rather quickly. SP-4 is also equipped with a mouth-stalk that allowed it to communicate with organic beings.
In a normal case, such as a shooting, the SP-4 droids will look at weapon discharge patterns, weather reports from the day of the crime, biological records of the victim's species, and a geometrical triangulation of firing angles before fingering a likely subject. Critics of the SP-4 say that the droids are incapable of making the thinking jumps needed to solve a more difficult case.
