Proposing an alternative to Chatango: Discord

It's no secret that Chatango is a heavily-limited program. No whispers, no alternate channels, no real mod options. So I'd like to talk about a potential alternative that could work out better for us all in the long run.
The Discord app.
What is Discord? It's an up-and-coming voice-and-text app similar to TeamSpeak and Mumble, only much better. It has a sleek interface, lots of customization options, and can be accessed by a link in your browser or via a desktop or mobile app. There's even a dark theme! You can even set mods and multiple rooms with varying levels of access; there could even be, say, a Whill chat within the server that only Whills could access.
Public voice chat not something we're comfortable having for JvS? They're not even necessary to set up; I'm not sure if you can remove the voice room, but you can at least lock it.
Individual users can have so many options to how their window displays: Dark or light mode, two different message display styles, images and videos can display previews or you can turn those off, it's pretty slick. I'd advocate it as an alternative to any voice/text program regardless. It's still in beta, which I can understand if that's a concern, but for a program in beta, it's incredibly stable and runs very well.
