Off the main hyper-route crossing through the edge of the star system, a Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier reverted from lightspeed travel as it exited the corridors of hyperspace. An alarm chime sounded on the door to Chang Fang's private quarters. Bloop! Bloop! The weary ranat looked up from a thick stack of memoires he was in the process of sorting through. He finished the last line he was working on and then placed the rishii feather quill held in his right paw across the top of the opened bottle of Quarren ink he had been using. He turned in his seat and squeaked."Come in." Squeak! With a hydraulic 'whoosh' the doors slid apart, revealing a twi'lek Madame from the Whores Eternal on Ryloth, who had just recently joined the organization. She bowed her head, displaying the proper deference to the Shogun who watched her with two beady black eyes. He stroked the drooping fu manchu style whiskers hanging off either end of his snout thoughtfully, waiting for the former prostitute to speak."Shogun Fang, we've arrived in the Ferra Sector. We'll be at Hypori within the hour." Chang nodded, but said nothing. He dismissed the trollop with a wave of one paw before returning to his disordered stack of papers. Of course they had arrived. He felt it the moment they dropped out of hyperspace. Say what you will about the Quasar Fire-class and its lack of elegance, the ship at least was good at making its mood felt by all within its fire blackened hull. Transition in and out of lightspeed always happened with a disorienting lurch. It was only when he heard the doors close behind him and he was once again alone that he completely relaxed and sat up from his hunched position over the table.Smoothing he midnight hued kimono with his paws, he rose to his feet and approached the far wall where his katana and wakizashi were mounted in a place of sacred honour. Placing his palms together, Chang squeaked a short litany of prayers to the Great Devourer, then removed his daisho and attached them to his belt. Armed, he took his time reaching the bridge, arriving around the time Hypori first came into view. He narrowed his furry brow, observing the arid rocky landscape that so many planets in this region were known for.All eyes on the bridge were turned to the leader of their recently declared criminal organization, from the lowest space rat to fat chested twi'leks. Even a few gamorrean savages with wet oozing snouts were present, focused on the Shogun's every move. Unperturbed by the attention, he carefully removed a long stemmed pipe from inside his lapel and filled the angled bowl end from a thimble sized pouch of spice. In a flawless example of slight of hand, he produced a match stick from out of nowhere and struck it along the left head tail of the twi'lek closest to him, igniting the end with a brief flare of orange flame. He held the fire source over the pipes bowl and immolated the contents within, sucking back on the flute end of the pipe at the same time to fill his lungs with a measure of narcotic smoke. As he exhaled, he blew the mind addling cloud at the same twi'lek he'd already disrespected, then squeaked a command."Inform the Fabricator-General of our arrival and prepare two Fang craft to escort the Fuscipes to the surface." Squeak! "If this Lord Valefor is willing to play Dejarik, our future may prove quite profitable." Squeak!Without wasting a further moment, Chang Fang walked the length of the ship to the turbolift leading down to the centre starboard hangar. As the lift doors parted, the Shogun scurried gracefully up the ramp of a Peregrine-class star yacht, recently acquired from the now smoking ruins of SoroSuub. A duo of space-rat aces on loan from Clan Skrittlespike climbed into the cockpit of two Fang-class starfighters shortly thereafter. As the yacht Fuscipes rose on a cushion of air and flew out the hangar, the two escort starfighters flew beside it, flanking it on its approach to the droid foundries.

Sliding out of Hypori's atmospheric embrace, the peregrine-class star yacht 'Fuscipes' entered the void of space and shortly thereafter returned to the Rattus Norvegicus in orbit. After entering Hangar 2, the Verminlord exited his personnel transport and rode the turbolift up to the bridge level of the Quasar Fire-class cruiser carrier. Furry browed eyes turned towards the Shogun as he entered the bridge at the front of the carrier, striding confidently to the command dais with his arms crossed over his chest and his paws tucked into the sleeves of his attire."Tatooine." Squeaked Chang. "Set a course." And that's exactly what they did. Pulling away from orbit, the Rattus Norvegicus departed Hypori and rapidly accelerated to lightspeed, following the hyperlane towards a world of sand and potential profit.

Transports moved back and forth between the surface of Hypori and a point in orbit where the slowly growing structure of the Eye of Astera that sat at a Lagrange point to park during construction. Overseer Shameful Occurrence had also moved from the Surface up into orbit to tend to the construction phase while Forge Lord Khonsu of the Anubian Guard oversaw the Dark Forge's production of parts for the Hyperspace Ring

Before long, the Eye of Astera was taking more shape over Hypori as B1 Worker Droids swarmed about in orbit fitting increasingly larger sections of the super structure together. The first of the larger transports rising from the surface was hauling one of the Capital-class Hyperdrives that had been salvaged from one of the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser wrecks. It had been passed through the Dark Forge, causing it to sport a number of modifications to allow it to better serve its future purpose. Several large pipes sprouted from the cylindrical drive, some for exhaust and some for better fuel flow.
As soon as the massive engine came into range, the Worker Droids started swarming about as Fel Energy crackled through the vacuum of space and arced from the Drive to the frame. Once the Drive was lowered into place, the Transport unhooked and took off down for its next run while the first drive was hooked up. Shameful Occurrence floated nearby humming happily to himself, proud of the coordinated work he was directing on behalf of the Forge Master

The Felstorm tore free of the Ether and reverted back to real space once more as the Star Pyramid returned to Hypori and took position in orbit nearby to the ever growing superstructure that was the Eye of Astera. The Crimson Lord of Hypori stood watching out of the viewport, studying the progress as Shameful Occurrence floated over and hung just outside the viewport whilst his voice was projected over the bridge comms system Greetings, Master. Welcome back! It is a most joyful day, is it not? Progress on the Eye of Astera is currently at thirty four percent complete. Her skeletal frame is on schedule to be completed in two days with the next hyperdrive installation is due in three hours. The remaining Drive is expected to happen tomorrow. Exterior armour panelling will soon progress toward fifty percent completed, with weapon systems expected to begin deployment shortly thereafter. A holoprojection of the Eye of Astera then appeared just off to Valefor's left side, displaying a host of data and information regarding the projects status Impressive work Shameful Occurrence. Keep me apprised of the ships status. I suspect Dragus will be eager to embark upon this journey sooner than later...

The Eye of Astera
Construction of the massive Hyperspace ring continued as the second and third hyper drive units were set into place and their requisite systems connected into the greater whole. More and more of the rings outer hull was starting to take shape as the interior systems were completed and the focus of construction moved to the outer layers. Valefor stood ever vigilant upon the bridge of the Felstorm, watching as one of the greatest projects the Dark Forge had ever produced was taking more and more shape

The Eye of Astera
The Demon Lord of Hypori's vigil continued ever on as construction worked through its various phases. Slowly, more and more sections were being completed. The Worker Droids were relentless, giving their namesakes a run for their money thanks to the droids lack of need for sleep or oxygen - or any other forms of sustenance - save for a bit of brief maintenance to top up their oil. The only roadblock they were about to face, is the speed at which the coaxium could be refined and enhanced.
But as Valefor set his fel green gaze upon the Hyper-ring, he felt a chill creep up along his spine, culminating in a sneeze. The crew upon the deck paused as the foreign sound rung out across the room. Several heads turned toward their Crimson Lord, before muted whispering resumed at first, growing back to the chaotic murmur of regular operation. Valefor turned around, his gaze piercing the veil into the arcane for the first time in a long while So you yet live...

The Eye of Astera After the continued tireless work and efforts of Shameful Occurrence and the Legions of Worker Droids at his command, construction on the Eye of Astera was completed as they last of the systems and armour plating was installed and the generators and engines were brought online. Coaxium Tankers were starting to pop into the system from Kessel to begin the fuelling process. With the work completed, the Overseer headed down to the surface of Hypori to resume its work at the Dark Forge proper. In time, a new Overseer would be produced and charged with the command of the Eye.
But for now, Valefor ordered the Felstorm to make the jump. The Star Pyramid moved away from the home of the Dark Forge, before making the jump to Roon once they were far enough away from the gravity well

Streaking across the star system as it rapidly decelerated from lightspeed travel, a Sentinel-class shuttle emerged from the blue banded corridors of darkspace, arriving just short of the naturally formed gravity well of the planet. Although the armoured hull of the transport was coated in a layer of sensor baffling reflec polymer, the shuttle transmitted its transponder codes to the forge world's defense network, identifying itself as the SE shuttle 'Cursed Hearse'. Hexagrammic wards were embossed on the ships three wings in a ruby red meltmassif based alchemized paint devised by the Dark Apothecary himself, psionically shielding the transport from psychic intrusion with Sith sorcery, blocking the wicked witch tainted aura radiating off its sinister cargo. Waiting inside the troop bay were a hundred Sith sarcophagi from Fort Dragmire on the cursed world of Dathomir, each containing the bloodless body of a zabrak night-brother corpse, whose vitae had been harvested by the nefarious vermin-kin of Clan Rustrot to be used in blood fracking the planet for its wealth of spirit ichor. The thick coffins were comprised of Force inert blackstone quarried in the darkside corrupted Deep Woods region of holy Pzob, providing an additional barrier to prevent tampering by not-yet understood nightsister magic. These coffins were bound tight by Sith iron chains consecrated in virgins blood by the mortuary priests of the Death Cult, who specialized in necromancy and the spiritual shackling of the undead. In the hold with the corpse cargo was a heinous figure in a hooded robe of tanned man-flesh, one of the SE's Dark Missionaries from the world of Rishi, a being who had sold their soul for the promise of power after drinking the Pater Mutatis' mutagenic elixir. The Urcinis-Helix transformed the once simple Galandan into a mage of considerable arcane might, schooled in the traditions of Pzobian sorcery on the ill fabled isle of Draggle Rock by flesh consuming Night Ewok shamans. The Missionary swung a smoking brazier that exhaled a rich fug of darkside imbued incense, forming a mist that hovered just above the gore stained deck. He was joined by a pair of NJ2 in Sith incinerator trooper armour, carrying heavy fuel tanks on their backs and oppressor flame cannons in their crimson gamma-plast gauntlets. A final precaution in the event that spell-craft of the Famine Lord's servants failed. The transport headed for the surface, intent on delivering its cargo to the Demon of Hypori's forces, to be utilized in Project Stalker and other wicked Sith science operations.

INTERLUDE - The Dark Library
The space around Hypori had not sat empty for long after the Eye of Astera had been completed and taken into ownership by its namesake, before a new construction began. A new massive frame was rapidly taking shape and form as Worker Droids were brought back up alongside materials and parts. With the Anubian Guard now fully active members of the Forge Lords, Shameful Occurrence could more easily act as Overseer of construction of the new Dark Library. But unlike The Eye of Astera, The Dark Library saw the first deployment of the Alpha-Variants of the Holo-Shards as additional administrators and workers. Although Shameful Occurrence was not thrilled about their presence, Valefor had insisted upon it as a field test of his latest creation.
In fairness, their existence was not all that different from his own: artificial intelligence in an artificial shell. In fairness, it was the perfect combination already. However, Lord Valefor seemed intent upon improving upon this project and advancing to other variants. A mindset the Overseer did not necessarily understand, but did not care to explore nor did he need to. Such matters existed beyond the purview of his duties and so he would obediently do as the Forge Master asked and ensure the construction of the Dark Library went as smoothly as possible

INTERLUDE - The Dark Library
More and more of the massive pyramidal pointed star like super structure's frame came into existence, with workers running around the clock to process materials into parts and got them shipped up into orbit. Like the Eye of Astera, work teams were rotated through in overlapping shifts to ensure no interruption occurred. However, unlike the hyperdrive ring the Dark Library construction project was trailing out a team of Holo-Shards to see how hard and long they could be worked before they reached their limits. To that end, additional quality controls were applied to ensure no faulty parts ended up being used. It was as good a time as any to best determine what the Alpha's were like and what improvements might be made for the Beta Variants

INTERLUDE - The Dark Library
Thanks to the massive amount of available droid labour force, work was still progressing on the Library's frame whilst teams were already shipping up and assembling various systems. Cables and conduits and power systems were being threaded throughout the frame, while a reactor which would provide all of the energy the Dark Library would ever need was moved and installed into place. A half dozen members of the Anubian Guard were also busy overseeing and engraving a number of panels with runic symbols. With Valefor away overseeing the TERRA Prime construction, it fell to the Forge Lords to see their Masters will completed. They had to prepare for a later addition to the Library that could only be done once construction was finished

INTERLUDE - The Dark Library
Construction of the Dark Library was progressing splendidly, at least that was the humble opinion of Shameful Occurrence. The Overseer of the Dark Forge and its many projects was quite prideful at times, viewing his appointment to the Forge Masters homeworld as a sign of favour and trust. He worked hard to plan for as many eventualities and made sure production timelines accounted for them. Crews would finish with one section and would immediately be moving onto the next area which they had been assigned. The work crews were kept on manageable chunks so that if one finished faster than expected, but another group was lagging behind, help would not be far from reassignment. As an entity that did not sleep, Shameful Occurrence had plenty of time to plan, prepare, and act

A seam formed in the fabric of realspace as a monstrosity of dark doonium alloy plate and Impervium spikes clawed its way out of the extradimensional realm of hyperspace, rapidly reverting to sublight speeds as it slipped into the system like a hungry void predator stalking the hyper lanes of the Outer Rim, belching radioactive particulate from its growling ion drives as it carved a path through the tides of empty vacuum. Its transponder codes identified it as the 'Promise of Nightmares', a dauntless-class heavy cruiser the forces of Famine had pillaged from the SoroSuub headquarters on Sullust, prior to plundering its warehouses and enslaving its employees. With a hull carbon scored black and pitted in long spears like a space porcupines pointy quills, the Promise lived up to its name, projecting a menacing figure as frozen corpses thrust through its spiny forest bled a shimmering trail of ice crystals through the void behind it, leaving remnants of its grotesque ornamentation all over the star system as it traveled along. Most of the crew inside its frightful halls were new. Nu-Jakes, that is to say, recently bred by the overworked cloners of Kamino who were currently enslaved by the Sith Eternal and basically had to do whatever they said. Two troop regiments of the expertly gene-crafted warriors waited in the hold, armed and armoured by the fortress workshops of Darth Astera in state of the art equipment. On the bridge, Captain Jake Mohc Thornehouser, watched the main viewscreen from his command chair. Perfectly blue eyes studied the magnified pict on display, which showed a captured image from the visual sensors of a massive hyperspace ring in orbit around Hypori. A number of fuel tankers floated around the ring, attached to it by long fuel lines pumping a luminous green briny alchemical mixture known as ultra-coaxium, a recent development out of Kessel. Expulsions of chemical vapour into the cold void revealed space troopers jetting around the transports, supervising the fuel transfer closely. Several other tankers hovered nearby, forming a que as they waited their turn to empty their dangerous cargo. The NJX Captain's armourweave long-coat swished about the pant legs of his combat fatigues as he stood up and out of his seat, placing his grey naval uniform hat on his head before his right arm snapped up against his brow, forming a salute as his bridge officers opened a visual channel to Hypori's defense forces. This is Captain Thornehouser of the dauntless cruiser, Promise of Nightmares, to Forge Command. We're transmitting our cargo manifest to you now. We're carrying aboard two regiments of Sith Troopers scheduled for service aboard the Eye of Astera, as well as Commander Leonitus Dantioch from the Sons of Pzob Third Company, who will be supervising the offloading of special cargo to the hyper-ring.Appearing on screen beside the somewhat robotic NJX was a hulking armoured figure in forest green, wearing what appeared to be a modified exosuit of Phase III Darktrooper armour, whose pneumatic joints hissed steam and growled as the Commander stepped out of the shadows. Held in powered gauntlets that looked large enough to single handedly choke a wookiee to death was a five barreled assault cannon that hummed in his grip, bleeding wisps of smoke from its cavernous muzzles as it cycled on threateningly. Leonitus' face was hidden behind his dark armoured helm, but its cold pitiless expression gave the impression that the face beneath that menacing plate was fixed in a perpetual scowl. The Sons of Pzob were a recent addition to the forces of Famine, rising from the ranks of hannite monks devoted to the religion of their world, transformed through alchemy into gene-crafted super soldiers driven by a zealous faith. They could be found fighting at the forefront of any major battle involving the Dark Apothecary's servants, tackling challenges beyond the abilities of ordinary troopers. In the same way Captain Thornehouser displayed respect by saluting, the Command of the Third Company slammed his right gauntlet against his chest plate in a percussive boom that rattled the bridge crews teeth, manipulating the servo-motors in his gauntlets finger joints in his best approximation of the symbol of the Almighty Eye.

The Eye of Astera
Ever since the Eye of Astera's completion, Contrary Conatus had been spun up and given command of the massive hyperspace ring. The floating golden orb had been co-ordinating all manner of operations since the completion of construction: from refuelling to the onboarding of supplies and droid forces from Hypori. A variety of labour droid models traversed the halls, moving freight and equipment about. However, the arrival of the Promise of Nightmares indicated that the ha;;ways of the Eye were about to get that bit more busier. The Overseer intercepted the comm channel and projected his spherical shape back along the holo line Cargo manifest received and processed Captain Thornehouser. It is a wonderful day to welcome you to Hypori and aboard the Eye of Astera. Hangar bays Gamma, Echo, and Nemesis are all free for transfer operations. Once you're aboard, you can find me on the Bridge. Given the Eye's construction and design being focused around docking with the Allegiance-class Battlecruiser, it would have been a difficult - if not impossible - operation to try and get the Dauntless-class Heavy Cruiser docked to the massive space ring. If absolutely necessary though, arrangements could be made for a temporary docking aperture. But Contrary Conatus was certain the forces under Lord Dragus' command would manage
